MAGNET FISHING a Favourite Toronto Location For Vintage Finds!!

okay evan one two [Music] [Laughter] hahaha very historical place the st lawrence market anyone in toronto knows they know and we're back huh yep just put that on a t-shirt and we're back uh we're down at uh sugar beach which is right beside red path uh where what evan where we were we've been here many times before yeah it's a honey hole yeah so it's got a lot of history but when we got here when we got here we saw something we've never seen before i don't think in all my years have been here in toronto i've never seen this either no never seen this side pretty cool yeah so we're here at red path which is behind us here yeah uh i mean we're here at red path which is over here yeah it's sugar beach over there we're gonna show you that in a pan and all that way do you see what we got over here and you're gonna see the type of of things that how do we even say it once you see what we see that's evan's mom calling it's only for you it's always yeah only if we answer it if it's not here all my life and you think it's a from the ocean yeah definitely from the ocean it came in through the locks for sure yeah because it couldn't have i mean well it could i guess it could i mean lake ontario is really cool anyway so that boat is indicative of the boats that are here which is where we're going to be magnificent so it's been i mean decades and decades of giant boats like this coming in here and that's why we've been finding cool things in this spot this is a honey hole for us absolutely uh hopefully it will produce some honey today huh yeah ray fight the sunda all right evan has something here that's right i kind of he doesn't really know it's heavy uh he's got a little system there he's trying to get stuff up let's see what it is the heck is that what is that that's all really that's an old railing yeah not what i was expecting here hold it up there's something on there oh here's the top of it right there oh wow wait let's see yeah yeah it's a little piece of railing they've been just look at that thing yeah it is old railing that's very old really yeah that was probably one of the original pieces over here yeah i mean this is a very old area i mean that's not that's not too new that's pretty cool there we go that's a you know what that's a catch that's good catch though old railing means there's other old things there nice just want to take one more peek at this we just switch sides here to get a better view of it oh yeah let's take a look at that look at that huh right there that thing nice big piece of rail that's old now well that shouldn't be in the water so no that shouldn't be in the water good work you got that out hey look what else is coming into the harbor oh my goodness it's boat day there's a lot of boat action bugs buddy i'm telling you this is a honey hole when evan's getting stuff you know it's a honey hole wait wait yeah yeah what do you got here what do you got here evan i don't know oh you got a magnet full of stuff it was heavy heavier than that oh get it over that thing what is that oh cool what do you got going on there i don't know what it looks like a flange but like uh oh it's like a square flange yeah square flange look see let's see hold on if you bolt that into something and then you put something into that let's take a look at this thing hold up leave it don't move around oh that's interesting what else do you got there what is that thing something about this corner i get a little this corner you go crazy in this corner man and then what's this look at that thing who knows what that thing is lower half of gumby pull that off and see what that is like a latch for a belt or something oh look at the bottom part of it yeah the bottom part has like uh it's two knobs at the bottom half of it like they're skinnier little bumps there whatever that is it's kind of been broken off okay that's a very interesting magnet fishing find square flange look somewhat happy about your square flange okay we got something here okay it's heavy as heck it is heavy all right what do you think you got what is it like a big another pipe oh that's a big wheel that's a big dolly wheel wow look at that can you see that crazy that thing is huge thing wild at that how heavy you see it like if you see it right yeah yeah you would have had that would have been on a big huge imagine the size of the dolly for this thing probably on the ship on a ship yeah something a ship would be like this this is maybe from something on this like the ship we saw earlier today oh look at that you know what unless you there you saw the police luckily it's not a knife would have been funny pulled up a knife um it says milwaukee on there it's it's a great handle yeah the handle is like a yeah it's like you really saber handle it's like you can really get a grip on yeah like i've never you know yeah it's got this sort of like a key thing here yeah that's that part is really kind of cool because uh what is it what could it be you know what this is um this is a fun thing so people are gonna have to tell us what this is someone someone is gonna know what this is yeah right yeah that's cool i can find it certainly different thought it was a big knife i thought i saw this and that i thought oh we got a big bowie knife yeah but this is cool i mean it has a name on it we can look up what it is i got the thing on there yeah it's stuck on the side oh no so you're gonna have to readjust let's see let's see what you got oh it's down there and it is something right so can you see that yeah uh found something cool pulling it up it's all iron like that guys it's all iron so if you sleep on it when you're bringing it up it slides into the iron and it just that sticks like like glue so evan let's see if we can i'll see if i can give it a quick uh tug off you're gonna go you're gonna go to the corner down there you know what i think that's the best thing it might be the best because i don't that's how i rescued the lid last time you might want to do that i don't want to lose this right the only thing is you might with the tug why would i lose it with a tuck i lost my tin at the top yeah but this is on the front of it just give it a go it's not going to argue with you you can try to tuck it from here i think i could pull it off here okay well we can see what it is it's something like that it's like some kind of um you know what evan i'm gonna go over there and pull it off okay hold on let me just see if i can look at it before you do that okay like a scraper or something yeah it's like an old tool yeah it's a really old tool i can't believe it's stuck over there yeah i see it right clears day all right good luck so i think the best thing to do is go over there and pull it off all right here we go neil's doing his little little tourney one two well the only thing is is that you know it's kind of where those bubbles are oh please don't get stuck again neal that was unlucky unlucky where where where do you think it is here like pretty much right in front of this so as you saw i i got the magnet not stuck but that tool that was on the end which we don't know what it is we think it's a kind of old scraper got popped off the magnet it's here somewhere so i am going to try to find it but if i don't find it there we go uh evan uh told me to not do something and i tugged it too hard and it popped off evan warned me right evan yeah evan said i could blame him if i wanted to i thought he was being a bit sarcastic i'm not sorry to be a little sarcastic with that but i'm not blaming you i should have listened to evan and now i'm searching for that tool okay there we go i don't know but i don't know how else you would have brought it out i don't know how else either okay evan i'm rushing over here we got something here what is going on so uh i just pulled this up and i'm you know what the heck is that thing sorry you went around i just had to get up because it was so so heavy anyway what is this thing what is going on with this thing what is this what's this look at that it's like a bomb wait wait wait let me get in there okay oh my god what do we got what is this thing what the wait it's almost like you can't even see what there's electronics yeah it's that's a that's a little board yeah that's a board yeah what the heck the wiring in it what's this here this looks like a big chunk of metal i thought it was a cell phone yeah i thought it was a cell phone this it's a big chunk of metal wow that's insane yeah this is nuts it was so heavy man wow what is this thing it's got some so any kind of name on it sides dude have a name that's done i have no idea it's it's confusing to look at what this thing is oh oh there's a hole here there's a hole yeah oh this unscrew the screws someone's screwy thing with the board yeah let's plop that down electronic thing is amazing look at that look at that what is that if anyone knows what that is you smart people up there out there yeah just let us know well evan that's a very interesting find yeah i'm happy with that because that we have no idea what it is none off of boat items let's see it down here again there it goes that's the cage it's that in it looks like it could be like a cash register wow this is the cage excited that's the cage part of it are you able to pull up the other lift up the other part too and that's that other solid thing that is crazy a big piece a big piece of heavy thing whatever this is it's meant to stay where it was well there you go evan that's a very good find yeah nice well we're done we survived today magnet survived today there's many many stickings you guys didn't see okay we evan knows lost sorry i said i count on four five how many times did i get stuck i think four or five times yeah you guys haven't seen anything no don't worry about it never happen um and i'm really good at getting my magnet unstuck just so you know when you get them all stuck like that what happens you get good at getting them unstuck i'll tell you the truth there was a lot of heavy scrap we pulled up today which also you guys didn't see you only saw the things we thought were interesting but believe me there was a lot of scrap baby tons of scrap although i did find that thing with the electronic electronics in it all the electronics it's cool yeah it was okay i think whatever it was that's what that was an old cash register or something that was what it was um all right evan here we are at the end of the show and uh we wanted to thank you once again some shout
