i mean that's like sixth gear now and it just happily pulls out you know it does feel very normal just yeah rolling about until you do that and then it feels like you do a wheelie hi i'm craig from dino talk and this is my joe evolution with an lt swap most you'll know from the previous videos um what we've done with this but there's a few people new to this that don't sort of know what we did so quick one down body of jerry evolution one he won for years and years and years it was a bit scary yeah it was a bit scabby when we got it so it escalated quite quickly into full body off chassis restoration which obviously in the previous videos but it's basically now done it's not finished finished because we've still got to do the dyno sessions and the four wheel drive calibration but it's on the road i've been using it for um about two weeks now yeah let's have a poke about so look inside um got some nice new seats in it some nice ricardo's from driftworks thank you very much guys you said to pay for them oh yeah obviously but they did me a deal i've had recaros in a lot of cars and they're just once you've had them you you just can't go back i know i want to see if it doesn't say recorder these did have the cavos from factory but they were a bit bit like an evo um eight or seven or something like the other one normally evo but yeah yeah and they're always knackered so and this this didn't have the originals it had one seat so we ended up with the power seats so um seats are in this one's on a sliding base all fixed in nice that one battery managed to put on to the original uh pajero base it slides forward then it's a secondary click and you started forward again and so you can still use the back yes otherwise it's so hard to get into the back and i didn't realize it did the second click so we've been like climbing out the other one like really badly anyway really the silver one doesn't yeah brilliant didn't know um will we came around the door i had one in the rx-7 and just love it it's just such a lovely thing and not too small um that is uh paddle shift for the um you can put it down this selector now works the gm gearbox when you come down into drive you go across when you put it back into down into minus that puts into m mode i don't quite know what m means but manual it isn't though it's weird but it's basically to lock it in gear for towing and stuff like that right okay but it gives you ability once it's in end mode so these paddles you can mult ships and downshift on which go through the canvas box into the ecu these are actually back to front they were designed to go on the back of the steering wheel so we've actually had to invert them so they work the other way around they were there and you clicked them the other way so i've switched the magnets around them so they work backwards which is which is great you've got them mounted on the column yeah yeah they're on the columns they stay i didn't want them on the wheel when you're completely sideways up is still up yeah down is still down you've got trying to get wireless tutoring it's always yeah it's supposed to be always a pain aim dash same as the one in the lambo one point it is yes yeah i've seen them one in that it's like oh just you know oh you haven't done a fancy booting screen but no no that's on that one that's um so that's the sat nav and computer so that does a lot of internet and sat nav that's a samsung tablet isn't it that way yeah basically it says converted yeah and then it's got the radio there with i play um apple play and everything so you just need your mobile screens it's not max power isn't it yeah so this is all we made a 3d printed panel to sit into the original dash the carbon sheet to try and make it as you know so i wanted to leave the original dash pack and everything yeah hey this is all factory printed carbon isn't it yeah real factory paint yeah i mean it's a bit horrible but that's what they're like so you sort of have to live with it um that's the inside the best way is this standard eve i mean i mean we can have a quick poke underneath you know i don't know how much you'll see i mean it's not dirty now but it was not that like a vanity thing pretty brand new doesn't it pretty much every nut and bolt has either been re-zinked or replaced even stainless wheel nuts bat wheels have moved in like three inches so it doesn't stick out i hated that and i hated three bolts not six again the boot's just standard you know nothing no subs no i mean it's a daily car so it's got it's got to be practical yeah let's get to the good bit let's get the engine hole so have we done the intake because it people made didn't they yeah and i did it and felt like i saw i just and it right it was it wasn't very nice so that had to be redone so that's all done now although it was hitting the bonnet but i've done that now i need to repaint it so all the breathers are done now everything's done yeah it works are you running a gm ecu and an emerald somewhere in here is under here yeah um they do go in the engine bay but i'm just trying to keep some heat away from the exhaust because they sit really close to exhaust i mean which is normal but i don't like it so the original gm ecu runs the direct injection and obviously where the engine and everything then you've got a tcm inside which runs the gearbox and i've got an embroidery which runs the fans um part of the dash uh port injections we added port injections to the anward ecu and support injection is that because it's quite hard work to upgrade the direct injection system it's about because i've got the lt4 injectors and pump the high pressure pump for it to give it more flow but it might be on the limit of the um injectors right so i actually left the original lt1 ejectors in to the limiter yeah so i've left the original alti1 injectors in and the pump ideally for calibration because it's already calibrated for them um but it's got it's got a forge pistons forge wads uh a bigger cam and the cam has a bigger fuel lobe on it which works the fuel pump it's like 30 more oh really yeah that's a clever little thing getting more out of it yeah um and i wanted to run the port injection and one thing it keeps supports clean supports get really blocked up on die engines because there's no fuel in them they're just getting messed up but i'm not running the the the breathers don't go back into it so you don't put all the crap emissions back into it which really helps keep the engine clean supercharge is a whipple 2.9 not the 3.1 which i said in one of the first videos i don't know why i said that because i know it's not getting all mixed up slightly smaller pulley three and a half inch pulley just give it a little bit more boost because that's what it needs yeah yeah of course it does i mean it should make about a bar 12 feet high to a bar i think depending on obviously the less which the engine less boost it makes but more power i don't think we're going to be able to convey on video what this feels like accelerating oh it's it's nuts it's quite an experience isn't it i i should have just i mean i should left the standard cam and everything that's nuts so i haven't made the port injection on yeah it's all even wide but we've not enabled it because we're not running i'm only doing like short pulls and just doing it trying to get the original um gm mapping somewhere near then we're going to top it up with the port injection rather than relying it all the way through you've been having some fun with the efi live haven't you tizzy hey tune or something if i live originally then so that's not what you need after buying it i bought hp tuners um and i've had a couple of people like um try and log in tune i i don't really know what i'm doing without some i normally use android and stuff and it's so complicated i mean it really is it doesn't there's no fuel numbers anymore it's all vve tables which is virtual volumetric efficiency and it's all done on calculated torque and calculated airflow so there's no real numbers in the engine it's all like basically calculated mathematics for what it thinks is doing what it thinks it should have right as soon as the forklift man's keen on playing yeah we'll get in and go around the block a bit yeah all right here we go for our foreign viewers they're going to experience tiesley i've noticed we've got a jet on the roundabout yeah we've got a jet it's seven that's obviously that's the first thing i think of when i think of tysley it's a yeah anyway so all everything all works and everything's it shouldn't here we've got um i've got to do the speedo calibration and the fuel pressure if you're on that but yeah but it's uh so normal driving it's a little bit calm now it sees that's in that's fourth already a 10-speed gearbox unfortunately the dash only goes up six gears at the moment um we're looking at he said he can do a calendar calculation on the thing i think it'll only read up to nine which is a little bit disappointing but you know whatever we'll get around that i'm sure they'll do something eventually so just normal that's like you know they like driving traffic it's really smooth and nice going on this is no gearbox um no no the gearbox is standard um calibration at the moment yeah and because the gearbox is calculated again to talk of the engine against the vvd tails and all that it's a bit a bit weird because if it suddenly makes a lot of torque the um don't know the eyes the gearbox does some weird shifts but every time we do a new maneuver flashing calibration it gets better and better but hey look world we got jet where is it there it is yeah no idea what it's there for i mean it's quite random it is isn't it maybe it says cc's jet i don't know whatever we've got a jet and this is where you i mean we're clearly on amongst the road here because everybody just drives alongside normally i mean this is a lawless part of the world to be fair you i mean don't be surprised if someone comes up the wrong side of the road to turn left in a minute so yeah the cat the engine side of it's been a real headache we've had a couple of people like um trying to do a lot of these mapping and that try and have a look at it and um not really got very far but luckily my friend stewart who's a bit of a wheeze on electronics and he understands how engines and all that side of it works um he's helped me a lot with electronics and on on these sort of things he's basically got his head around hv tune has watched quite a lot of youtube um videos now on it and we've got his point where he's driving and it's not perfect it was a barrel for a few weeks wasn't it to go to italy to even idle as soon as i started it it was selecting it and since he's got to make too much talk and backing the timing off then he's like back to like minus four degrees at idle and because then he'd almost stall it constantly pulling timings it thinks it's making too much torque and because the the the supercharger is um taking power they're not obviously adding power it completely screws all the settings up i mean that's like sixth gear now and it just happily pulls out you know it does feel very normal just yeah rolling about until you do that and then it feels like you do a wheelie i mean it is i mean i'm i said there's no port injection and we're not on them secondly fueling yet so i'm only doing little squirts but it's you know the pickup i mean that's picking up from the eighth gear you know you can just feel it fighting for traction it's um it's quite entertaining yeah just been mad here i'm going off-road yeah that's birmingham wow it's weird the amount of people that stop and just go open it because it's quite a random thing because it's doing a wheelie yeah i said i can't give it full beans but you get an idea it's quite a thing isn't it yeah oh there goes mel yeah you know he like rolled on from light you know i mean it's already probably too fast it is you know the first time i drove it a few times it was like running a bit sorry a bit rough it was like you know then the first time we actually got some numbers in there that sort of half worked it's like around the estate it's like wow this is this is um mental it's quite special and suspension i mean that's the dampers on full hard now and it still feels like it's just like a bit yeah it really wants to lift the front yeah and it's not so sink in the back it is lifting the front to full extension but but then it drives like you know driving it's working back it's quite nice just as a no which is what i wanted i mean it is a you know effectively a daily and once we get the you see the afr's i mean i mean they run very weak on these anyway because they're they're di but they're quite weak and i can't give it full beams but you get an idea of how it goes it goes and it's nice and smooth and we got air con yes oh air con everything good okay well the manga is angry so you get the idea the exhaust was a bit of a i would say complement but i couldn't work out what to do with it and it effectively comes out in front of the plastic side back wheel because it's not easy to get because it's such a big point to actually get it through the back suspension and everything there isn't really much space so i folks outside there which when you're on full chat sounds quite loud but it's fine with normal driving and that you got a good sized box under it there didn't you there's three boxes in it there's maybe three big boxes because i wanted it quiet and and the other thing is i mean i i didn't do this trunky bit like particularly light or you know it's not a trap card it's not that sort of thing but we actually weighed the two cars because they've got a standard evo that's completely stock and we just thought wow let's see how much weight it's gained because it's like to say there's three big boxes there's a supercharger all the stuff i put on here and we weighed them the corner weights and this is um lighter than the standard one it wasn't much was it no it was like 15 20 kilos i think it was like 30 or 28 or something we've got we've got the picture so we'll put it in there but even so it's like it's quite amazing that it was lighter i guess the old mitsubishi engine you know four cams yeah i mean the guild block the gearbox and um i think it was ali block as well yeah but the gate box is massive on the one so the gearbox that's probably the same you know but say it's plenty quick enough in it yeah it's an adventure isn't it yeah let's see if the man stopped to limit her in the forklift and we can finish this thing i'll back it just oh reverse camera oh yeah reverse camera no not the aim one is it no it is um if we should say that well nice i mean the aim come with a reverse camera um plug uh fitting on the back of the dash but it's quite expensive but the actual um camera piece the camera bit is is locker what's the name you've got the plug for me uh oh anyway it's like a din plug and we wind it into a 12 pound uh special yeah and it's all right i mean it's probably not as good as the aim one but it's fine on back this because the spare wheels there and that you can't it does block a bit of you anyway but it is fine it's better than nothing and when you've got the facility there it seems silly not to use it okay let's get out and then we'll see what we've missed go on there let's have a look so exhaust comes out there i'm not one for big fancy tips or anything like that just it's just a fairly standard point at the back but it works it's good and doesn't drow and it's quite quiet chasing it to a bit of a number plate let's sit round here with a plate like that yeah the front one's even better where is it yeah the front one's full ties like more perfectly spaced wow thought up yeah how many screws have you gone let's have a giggle you've got to hold it on yeah of course you have so it's i say it's not finished finish but it's it's very close it's way more finished than stark as is it's got evo eight breaks on it from uh lancer evolution that's what's one thing which actually worked really well we had some machining discs and also rear discs they're off a lot of later ones they're much bigger diameter and they're just super jarrow either they're off like a later wheelbase yeah the handbag shoes are much of a size grabs a lot sweater and the ring into it and work but it all works which is really good and the brakes are actually quite good i was a bit concerned but the abs still works so we're going to basically pick up off the abs sensors and input that into the end mode so when it wheels spins that's wheel spin it'll wind the central um there's a motor basically with like a big car ramp and it winds the center diff in so as it as it accelerates it detects wheel spin it actually physically wands it in a bit like an edf on most modern cars so that's we've got to get the calibration done for that so that'll be done and they'll be done with the port uh but we did have um i said i've got another one of these a standard one and we've gotten down the other down there the five bit row down the bottom and did a little race just to try and give people an idea how much difference it is and we'll put a video it's only on the phone but you get the idea i don't think it quite does justice to just how much difference it is but anyway it's like 25 30 mile an hour now you'd never describe the standard one as fast would you no i mean people say to me oh you've got to watch them in the wet you know they're they're dangerous now i mean they must be they must be pretty terrible drivers if they think that's a danger thing even in the snow until we'll drive it it's finally they're not particularly fast uh there was one recently on the pajero four on the evo f4 i think he made hundred and things you said was an 84 at the wheels i mean there's a lot of losses and a big tire so i get there's a lot of losses but even so 180 wheels isn't in a big old thing as well yeah yeah what did it work it's over two ton is it yeah yeah right yeah no it's a lump of thing you know it well i've got a picture of the scale so we've put that on but you know it's no light weight no no 180 horsepower two ton it's not a i mean it's not a spaceship this should be you know 500 plus at the wheels i mean i don't know i i could sort of wind the boost when i you know aim for bigger and bigger bigger numbers but to be honest even as it is now that's it's fast you know that is quite fast so we're going to get on the dyno sooner you know sooner rather than later i planned i'm hopefully going to take that and yes at the same time because we've had a look at some of the obviously not even dino that yet but that one's very well so we're going to like hopefully try and get them both the dino at some point well it's winter after today isn't it i think this is it yeah i mean we're doing this day because it's sunny i mean i was gonna wash it and get it all looking nice but like quickly while it's sunny but it's about you know i think it's about done really just little tweaks and maybe you know improving ready for next season then yeah yeah well it'll be the winter hack whenever yeah of course after that you'll be sad when all those bolts go brown i've found some like white like um clear white grease i've been drowning everything in it because i just want to protect it now because i've spent so long on it yeah i don't think i'd take it out in the winter but you know whatever wow i mean we started this in may was it last year yeah something like that so it's been it's been a long one for you to be fair it's been a lot of work yeah i mean steve said you need to watch the videos back because he said he watched the one back and when we took the body off and realized how bad the chassis was and i think i forget just how much work when yeah not just the chassis and no i mean gas did a massive amount of work on it and yeah we've rebuilt the engine we've done let alone the engine version itself i've spent i mean days and days and days and days on wiring trying to get all of everything to like talk to each other and work with each other and well you've fit these dashes i mean the dash takes it's a few days working yeah it's not a five-minute operation to configure it as well yeah and get all the sensors reading or everything to work yeah yeah we're going to i'm hopefully going to swap the cameras from the gm to the emerald canvas on the dash so i think we can get more more information by the end mode you can add another canon can't you yes yeah yes we're going to try and do that the aim dash is very very configurable yeah so uh that that's next but it's just i just wanted to get on the road and you know i spent so much time and effort on it just wanted to use it really have you got the fuel gauge and stuff working uh it's calibrated i've just got to fill it and do the top one right there he is looking wobbling about outside on the phone yeah pretending to do business yeah fine figurative man poison large and in charge [Laughter] i like that that's really good that was the old receptionist where i used to work but i'll take it for him saki look he's doing business yeah of course he was 10 minutes without his um his s15 at 70 miles like 4 000 revs of course it is it's quite loud at all i don't mean that drop you can drive that to work and not go above a thousand revs it just goes through the gears and you can literally drive under a thousand revs and keep up the traffic it's so good well i guess that's it we've been waffling for a while anyway next one will be dino yeah yeah in a few months whatever there
