Mackie Mix8 - Aux send and return effects

hey welcome to tech support today we will be talking about setting up an ox end with an effects unit ox ends are another way we can send audio out of the board the auxiliary sends tap off the channel signal to an ox end bus in order to route it to one or more auxiliary devices ox ends are generally used to provide mixes for stage monitors and effects sentence for this demonstration we're going to use a mix 8 3/4 inch TRS cables and an effects unit the first step is taking the Ox end and plugging that into the effects unit input with this we are sending signal to our reverb unit don't worry about having mono effects sends most effects units mono or stereo have mono inputs now we take the stereo output of your effect unit plug that into the mix a tox return this returns a signal back into the mixer on some boards you'll also have an aux return control but on the mix 8 the volume was controlled by the ox and the aux master turn up the aux master to unity now for every channel that needs to have an effect on it turn out the aux end add more reverb thanks for watching this Mackie quick tech video you
