hello everyone and welcome back to admin on limited just going to do a quick video on calibration of a level or adjusting a level so if you notice on these machine levels there's a set screw here and that is so that you can calibrate the measurement of the level a lot of people think that you need a perfectly level calibrated surface to adjust the level but that's not true all you really need is a repeatable surface so what I'll typically do is I'll put a couple of dowel pins in along the level so I can position it exactly in the same spot every time and then all you need to do is take a reading so we're pretty much right in between the second and third minor hashmark there so then if we rotate the level 180 degrees let it settle out you will see that again we're pretty much right in between the second and third hash mark now this level was out of adjustment it would not read identical from this direction to this direction okay so again we're right at the second the third hash mark so this is how you can adjust the level and verify that your level is reading correctly by just rotating it 180 degrees it should read identical no matter which way it's facing hope this helps adjust some levels we'll see in the next video
