This song is so terribly underrated. One of my top 5 Rush songs, no doubt about it. The drum part during the violin solo is beyond good.

Gets me every time
I think this could be one of their most underrated songs ever. Signals is one of my favorite albums of all time.
I agree with everyone else, one of their best and most overlooked songs. and the ending when it โcounts downโ time signatures from 6/8 to 5/8 to 4/4 is just so well done
Great song. Very rarely played live.
I know this sounds goofy perhaps, but I get tears every time I hear this. Of course when it came out I was barely a teenager. Now that I'm in my 50's, it's more familiar with watching my parents and other friends grow older. I knew even in my early teens the gravity of the song on my soul. Not only are the lyrics so true and insightful, but the music just sharply enhances the mood of it all. It's certainly one of their very best.
Somehow, this is even more depressing than the song they made about a concentration camp. Let that sink in for a while.
