Look what I just got from Down Under!

[Music] [Music] good morning YouTube It's a beautiful morning up in the hamul mountains and in this video I'm going to show you what's under this [Music] tarp hi I'm Marco from Overland X in this video I'm going to show you my new X1 Gen 2 Patriot campers off-road trailer this is the all new 2023 Gen 2 X1 trailer from Patriot camp ERS I just picked it up a few days ago and I'm pulling this with my 392 yeah I do have chicken so you might heard some animals in the background what I want to do is show you and do a walk around of this amazing trailer it's the whole new uh system it's got a bunch of automation it's got lights it's got a bunch of new stuff um in this uh Gen 2 models and that goes for the whole series The X1 the x1n X3 and now the new X2 a couple months ago my wife and I we had the opportunity to go visit Patriot campers in Australia and we visit the factory and we were able to take one of these X1 Gen 2 brand new trailer right from the production line and we spent a week in Fraser Island uh I'm going to leave a link below for the videos it's an amazing adventure and we were able to have the experience to uh camping this trailer this is a whole new uh model with a bunch of Automation and new features as you can see the trailer is brand new I'm going to set it up today I'm going to have all my stuff put in here and and set it up for uh my next adventure the X1 comes with the red Arc red Vision system and it's got a truma heater it's a diesel heater that works really really well that will heat up the water from the 40 uh gallon um freshwater tank that comes with this uh trailer and it will heat uh the uh living quarters that I will show you in a minute it also comes with a an inverter here it's a 110 bolt inverter and again it's got the same L-shaped kitchen as the x1n which is one of the main uh features that fell in love with the with the trailer think a lot more comfortable there's more room for cooking and uh it's really really nice the difference is that the new X1 Gen 2 okay it's all fully automatic there no more latches like the old one and another awesome feature he's got a 75 L fridge which is huge it's a dual zone fridge from the medic and this is an accessory but you can fit a big big fridge in this in this model um it's something that is a plus for me that I cook I can have all my food in one fridge with no problem and I love this latches are different now with one hand you can open the latches it still has the amazing sink with hot water and cold water this is another awesome feature that they included with the Gen 2 and all of their Gen 2 trailers has this this is an extra table that um on top of the sink so you got an extra area for cleaning prepping or washing dishes whatever but the sink is the same hot water cold water it has this space right here for utensils or whatever in the back you can put your uh wet cloth or or fibers can leave them there and it also has this drawer you know for more more storage in the stove area uh it comes with this drawer um you can use this kind of stove which I like it a lot I have the same stove in the x1n so you have a warming plate down here you can even toast bread this is really nice this is made by S sire top of the stove you got another drawer here I think I'm going to use this for my spices um so let's see we're going to set it up to today and see how that turns out with the genine trailers you have the same drawer um that you can use as a pantry or you know for your dry goods whatever but I like the new model it has it on the upper part so now you don't have to worry about when you're cooking or when you're prepping your items that are here are not in front of the drawer but now the drawer is on the top so so you can still leave whatever you're working on you can still leave it underneath so it won't get on the way and like the uh x1n model the Gen one model you still have the compressor that is controlled by the red arch system so you can level you can level your trailer with a ner suspension this is really neat the rear storage that I call the trunk it's huge again there are no latches here it's fully automatic just hit the button and it opens up you don't have uh chains anymore or wires now you have uh real chalk absorbers and this is the um storage area see you see the uh heater uh heater lines there got another shelf here for for more storage and this is similar to the old one but look at this you got all this storage here this is really really awesome the X1 Series this one of my favorites because of this area it's got a lot of storage and you still have the uh living quarters there I will show you in a bit now the bumper on the genter is a little different you got way way more um departure angle and you have this bar that it will we will be a lot more sturdier and you won't uh mess it up again you got the air suspension with uh dual shocks there's a skit plate for the water tank that is below and you can see the suspension how neat it is really awesome you still have these Cubbies as the Gen one trailers you can use for wet stuff or your trash or um you know your aluminum cans that you want to get rid of you can use this area right here the water inlet here it's now in a different position different uh different setup it's a lot easier now to uh fill up your water tank and again you know your button to open uh everything it's automate automated um you got your solar hookups right here and now it comes with uh connectors for your compressor so you can air up from your trailer again you have a bunch of uh storage on this side now the genos in every door they have this Molly panel so you can hang whatever you need there it's really practical and super versatile now on this uh area you have even more storage really nice you got the this little uh cubby here for you know toilet paper or uh whatever you need to put there you got this extra shelf here for other stuff you got your 110 uh connector right there the outlet and more storage on the Gen Tu they redesign the whole front now it's equipped with uh this compartment here for the propane so now your tanks are behind a closed door still have the ventilation up here uh you know for for safety but you can fit an 11 lb tank here I'm going to get them today or tomorrow so they will go I will have two tanks in this unit and also the front is different it comes with the max tracks and uh this plate is really really nice it's the color of the trailer so if it's a gray trailer this will be Gray and on the front you know you got different latches now and the door's a little lighter but still sturdy and I still have my grill right here this plate will open up like this and I have my we grill this is the new grill from Patriot campers the we Patriot campers model and this comes with the diesel heater it's a truma heater so the tank is right here um hot water will come out here again Molly panels on the door I I don't know if you can see it and the fire extinguisher right here and lots lots of storage this has a different chassis now it's a newer upgraded chassis which is more durable and and has more strength in in they're all improved and redesigned and all the Gen 2os have the same chassis now it comes with a flip up uh jockey wheel this is uh makes it a lot easier and you don't have to remove the jockey wheel it's it's really easy to use now also the drill bar is a whole new design it's an extended uh dra draw bar that it's uh 200 mm longer than the older model and it comes with a Locking System this is a remote control Locking System you can lock the unit now there's no way to open it so this is really nice and no more uh pad locks and easy as that now this unit is equipped with two AGM 300M hour batteries so you got power for for days and it's all being controlled by the red red Vision system this is the by Red Arc and this can be controlled through their app so this trailer comes equipped with 17-in wheels from peor and it's got 33in off-road tires and like all Patriot campers models this is equipped with the 12in E bres the specs on this trailer is 12T long 6.4 ft High 6.1 ft wide it's got a departure angle of 36 Dees and it's 2,492 LBS it's got a uh draw bar weight of 309 PBS this unit has an integrated 121 watt red Arc solar panel that it's attached to the composite cover and one of the main features of the new model is this fully automated the living quarters are on the top of the trailer let's check this out with your remote control you can do it from anywhere just remove this bunge cord as you can see it's pretty simple to set up but I do recommend using both hands it's a lot easier having a camera in one hand and trying to open that thing with the other hand it's a little difficult I'm pretty sure you can do it but I do recommend using both hands but yeah as you can see it's simple another pretty amazing feature is once once this is open once the uh composite roof is like this well what happens if it rains water comes down here and Patriot they came up with this idea look at that both sides you can do that and water just flows down to the uh down to the Earth without having your kitchen wet this is this is pretty neat now this feature I'm going to be using it a lot CU I use it a lot but I think this is this is absolutely awesome it's a great idea so let me show you what's underneath this the awning the awning is fully enclosed it's always clean clean it's out of the way and you know you don't you don't get a damage uh when you're on the trail this is a pretty nice idea and I really really love it the awning it's also illuminated it's got a an LED LED strip that goes all the width of the U of the awning let's see here so lights inside the bed and I'm going to show you the interior of the uh living quarters inside the living quarters you have all this area right here it's super big this is a 6x6 so you can you can fit a small bed here uh for a kid but p they have uh an extra room that you attach to this area right here so you can have a couple of uh sleeping bags in there or a c you know whatever you name it you put an extra bed there and you got more room for the kids all right guys I'm going to try to show you there you go much much better I'm going to try to show you how this works so this unit has a slide right here you slide the bed all the way to the end like that and yeah you can see it now that's your bad look at these guys this is a king-size bed it's it's pretty amazing it's huge and it's pretty comfortable actually this this new mattresses these are also new uh new designs and new product for uh for Patriot and yes this is uh this works really good he's got a couple of outlets for the heater one here and one here and the heater works really really good it's got Windows over here all right you're in Baja you can watch the uh the ocean in the morning and also it's got an access panel over here and you got access to the kitchen so you know my wife is uh laying on bed in the morning I can be out there and pass her a a cup of coffee so very practical very awesome design and uh and it's super easy to set up and this is this is probably my favorite unit the X1 just because of the how practical it is and again you know what I do I'll put the toilet in here and in the morning or at night my wife she doesn't have to go out and U that makes it super super uh comfortable um if you have a big family a large family like I do I have a bunch of uh grandkids um I am going to get the extra room just for them and I'm going to bring the whole family camping and uh we can all uh fit in here this you know my my daughter was laying up there with her five kids perfect um but you know but you got all this extra room so so it yeah it works really really good also you got AIS panels right here just open the zipper and you have access to this compartment I mean once I anchor to the ground you won't you won't get this like it's really really loose but the whole idea is to show you this um you got to access to the uh storage and also also down here it's pretty awesome and you going to open this from here clears really good got access to uh this storage without having to go out out of your tent it's pretty neat [Music] he [Music] I got [Music] [Applause] you [Music] [Music] oh [Music] so what
