London Hipsters' Pub Hears Boogie Woogie For The First Time!

hello there my name is Terry miles and I'm in London I'm in I'm near hawton a place called hawton kind of the East End of L of London now I've come across this P called the rosemy branch Tavern now the the rosemy branch Tavern was built it was built in 1820 so it's a real Victorian Pub now some of the locals around here near huon I've had a chat to some of them and they've told me there's a a piano it's got a couple of notes gone but there is a piano in there now there's this Pub over here look this the Barkley's alses and Stouts Pub the Southgate arm as you see over there so once upon a time there was two pubs opposite each other now apparently in the Southgate arms that used to be amazing place for uh for gangsters of the time in the 1960s and some of the locals have told me that part of the Great Train Robbery was planned there so anyway it's now the the Southgate arms has closed since closed now it's been closed since 1986 but we're we're going to go into the rosary branch and we're going to go and see if there's a piano in there going have watch all the qu quite busy with bicycles you see cuz they shut off all the roads to cars got to watch out for the bikes see the old taxi dermist has been busy okay then here we go follow me she knows well I can see the piano over in the corner find oh so here's the piano and um I'm just going to I'm still a couple of Tes on the pi is all right okay then [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] see [Music] [Applause] [Music] right [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] I [Music] [Applause] [Applause] know [Music] you [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] one L [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] I he [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] see [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] I together [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] there you go so he's got a piano got a couple of notes gone but it's all right so I've got to give this piano a [Music] yay well what can I say I mean it has a piano doesn't it I'm going to give you marks I'm going to give it a yay because it does actually have a piano in it now the thing is just think years ago this Pub was built in 1820 just think Queen Victoria was on the throne right right 1820 and people would have been around the piano singing and dancing being very jovial and and just think they would probably would have come out of this Pub and and then staggered straight into this Pub here look in brunswood place wow look at that the Barkley's Barley's Al and Stouts and just think you know could you imagine the atmosphere if we could just go back 100 years just over 100 years no electric no dukee boxes no cars on the road few horse and carts stopping in having a sing song probably getting blind drunk you know it's amazing isn't it when you think of it I think what it is today it's a very trendy pub now very trendy and full of um what what we call the uh the London Hackney hipsters and I think I think they're in the mood for Boogie wiggie they just haven't heard it yet but I'm going to carry on driving around and um playing Boogie Woogie around these pubs and I think I think in the end I'll play it so much they'll love it well what what can I say um let's plot on to the next Pub piano Quest
