so in this video I'm going to be talking to you about what not to do in Dubai ideally this video is targeted to anyone that's a foreigner or the first time coming here you should really watch this so you know of the precautions what not to do in Dubai the thing is what you hear is not exactly what you might be seeing and what you see is not what you hear so I'm going to get through that in the points below I just want you guys to understand that I understand back home in your countries it might be completely different but when you're coming over here the laws and regulations are very different to many countries and a lot of people are not aware about them you probably hear in the newspaper all the time that people are getting locked up for certain things that they shouldn't be doing at any point I start telling you guys no no don't do it can get you into trouble it basically means imprisonment so just be aware of that so let's get started just to rule out drugs is a big no-no so there are two types of drugs I'm referring to one are the more pleasurable drugs that people use on lights-out the second are actual pharmaceutical drugs that you might use for pain killers I will put it in the link description below the exact list of what is not allowed so if we talk about pleasurable drugs don't even consider it don't even it's zero tolerance especially for the younger people you might be tempted or hear someone doing something here what you don't realize is the reason for why it's such a safe country it's because it's very well protected so you might be doing something with someone the next thing you know that someone has a very close connection to the police Rula out don't consider it you want to do anything else do it somewhere where it's legal so alcohol is obviously permitted in licensed venues and bars and clubs ideally they talk about having a license with you I've been here for quite some time I still don't have a license let's keep it a hush-hush so what do I mean by licenses you need a license to purchase alcohol from a licensed venue like when you're going out to bars and clubs in Dubai no one's really checking to see if you have that license you're going to buy an alcohol from a shop and actually have you know take the bottle home with you bottle of wine vodka you need a license but if you get caught and someone sees that alcoholic bottle in your vehicle they're gonna ask you where's your license and if you don't have a license that will really put you into a lot of trouble straight away every M right Dubai's and amarant every Emirates is different from each other so for instance like Abu Dhabi Russell Hema fujairah they don't have these type of licenses that they do have here in Dubai you can just go to the shop and purchase a charger which is also another emirate it's completely dry the law is slightly different in each state or Emirates so I'm just gonna continue on with Dubai for now so you probably as a tourist wondering okay but how do I apply for a license you don't and you can't it's a gray area just put it this way everything is fine you're allowed to drink but at the same time don't get into trouble drinking what I mean by trouble don't drink and drive the biggest problem you're gonna hear all the time people getting locked up you know for drinking and driving they have zero tolerance um drinking driving before the law used to be without question you'd be thrown into prison for three months now I believe you'll be thrown into prison for a few days I might be wrong but you can also get bail before you can even get bail so they've become a little bit more lenient on that law but avoid drinking and driving you might as well just take a taxi again when it comes to drinking don't drink on the streets you know only drink at licensed venues don't fight basically anytime that you're getting in trouble on a night out it's when the police are gonna come and question you and then they're gonna start to interrogate you and ask you for where's your license and if you happen to tell them that you're a tourist depending how serious the situation is that you actually go into trouble they might check or not you know as a residents I think they're going to check that more as a tourists they're gonna focus more on the problem that had happen all the time all right photography and filming it's an interesting topic because in general you shouldn't be taking any photos or filming any type of property without special permission in reality as a tourist when you come out here you see everyone taking photos so you see it to be okay you know you shouldn't worry about it too much it is okay but where which strongly advise you not to do is to make sure that you don't have people in your photos so if you happen to be taking a photo and someone is in the background that person can actually report you very strong point here if you're at any close quarters or you're taking pictures to people close quarters I mean by actually going into a venue or a shop ask for permission better to ask if you're in doubt people say yes or no straightaway then you just follow it as it is things that you should not do or not taking photos of filming is any type of government or building palaces or any type of military vehicles of buildings you probably see that the Dubai police have all these fancy cars it's not a problem to go take a photo but go and ask them just to be sure that you're not getting into trouble and it should be good some people say yes some people might say no so everyone's favorite topic drones is drones allowed in general you need a license I have my license the license allows me to fly the drone however you need a special license to be able to film and take photos so a lot of people come out with all the drones out here and so far this is when it becomes a gray area what I mean by that is if someone happens to complain they're gonna ask you where's the permission that you had to use that footage if you don't even have a license you're gonna head into a lot of trouble and I mean trouble to the sense that it's a big fine even being going to prison for that selves they're very strict about drones here as a tourist I would strongly suggest to really be careful and also know the flying areas because to get caught in areas that you're completely prohibited that will put you into a lot more trouble conclusion drones it's not really allowed you will see pictures that's for you guys to decide but I'm just telling you what the law states moving on swearing one thing you just don't do out here is give this little guy up to anyone middle fingers here is again a big no-no it will land you into a lot of trouble I understand you might be or can be a very frustrated sometimes and you just want to you know let your anger out you have to keep the anger in you know the only advice I can actually give you is maybe to go home go grab your pillow and like scream in your pillow but if you let out that anger out here and you start swearing at people even giving the middle finger it can get you into a lot of trouble so be careful with that one so that even goes to save for social media you know these funny little emojis that you get on social media of like the middle finger you might find it funny or not well if you give that to someone over here and someone happens to complain about you I can actually land you into prison as well so be careful when you're swearing to random people that you don't know out here even on social media and just don't do it so as we're talking about social media one thing that you have to be careful about is sharing crime scenes on social media so Dubai is very protected over their image and if you're sharing typical crime scenes of accidents or any type of drama happening and it gets out onto social media that can actually put you into a lot of trouble I would not propose to share any type of crime scenes especially on to social media that will just instantly get you locked up abroad sharing people's privacy be careful so when it comes to photography and I see you taking you know as a tourist you're probably coming out here to take a lot of photos of everyone and everything if someone happens to be in the background make sure you ask for special permission that you're able to record them let's just assume that that's photo goes onto social media not random person all the blue happens to find that particular they can actually report you if they don't like it and that can shred away get you into a lot of trouble so be sure to ask people if it's okay to film and take photos wherever you go any restaurant venue just ask them you know if they say yes feel free to do whatever you want if no be really careful all right the last point I want to touch up on social media whatever you do do not talk down to the government in any way avoid all types of politics if you can stay out of politics don't even talk about it you know keep your opinions to yourself during your stay out here it's very sensitive topic so a lot of people are questioning you know can you go topless at the beach yes well sorry no for men yes but for women no so you're obviously allowed to be in swimming trunks you know without a t-shirt for guys at the beach and girls can freely walk around in bikinis but as soon as you kind of go towards land or like the public roads you need to have all your clothes back on and any form of nudity is a big no-no here you know if they catch you being naked anywhere in public they will throw you into prison for that so really be careful with that one but as a normal beach goer going to the beach you have nothing to worry about so this also goes for the LGBTs which also stands for lesbians gays bisexual and transgender unfortunately it's illegal to be any of those in the country and you cannot express it in any way if someone happens to be cross-dressing for whatever reason they look at you and they see you they will just throw you into prison so if you fall into that category I understand in Europe it might be people might be very open about it here you have to be a little bit more conservative and be careful also be careful about the types of t-shirts you're wearing which talks about religion nudity even breast cancer t-shirts showing an actual breast on the teacher can land you into trouble so just be careful when you come to any type of clothing and nothing is offensive or can offend another party so majority of the times when you're going out and about like I'm actually in shorts now I don't have a problem walking around t-shirts even if I had the tank tops it's not a problem wearing that in Dubai when you go into the malls for guys you'll see it they say just respectfully a lot of people should but you'll also see a lot of people wearing or being quite comfortable laid back for guys when it comes to women the only time you to really be conservative or a little bit more conservative is when you're going to the moles that's not to say that you don't see people walking around in skirts at the malls or having like for instance you know showing their arms it's okay but they encourage you to dress a little bit more respectful when you're going on nights out in Dubai it's completely different you know people dress the way that they want it's a very dress to impress scenario here but when it's more into public and malls you'd be a little bit more conservative if you made it this far I just want to say thank you very much for watching don't forget to give me a big thumbs up the video is quite long so I actually split it up into two parts so what you've just watched is part 1 and part 2 will be linked over here is that right no here here
