and so my bacon guys welcome back to this is G&E thank you guys for coming back again in today's video we're going to be talking about our experience our journey move it head to the Yui [Music] [Music] so we're gonna be starting off with our pros and cons living in UAE so starting with our pros what would be a protein and one of the major pros of Planet here in the UAE is the fact that you're able to travel to other places very easily so from the UAE you have Asia of just around the corner yeah Africa's over there Eastern Europe just over there and even the UK it's not too far away so travel a becomes easy to get to visit different places that from the UK the my custody you might have Japan for a ticket over there will cost you 200 points you get to visit different places so that's one of the major prize Nagi one of my pros would well basically I gave birth here so one of my price would be like the health insurance the hospitals is like in my opinion not everyone has the same opinion but I just felt like they took care of me and I had a very good experience here so it has allowed us one of our first another one for me is the safe it's absolutely safe I feel sick everywhere I go never have to look over my shoulder and the only thing is people like to stand close to you sometimes you go to a shop and you know the guy behind you be standing right this could disclose to you this is just normal but it's not a little fast it's not longer fast but it doesn't mean anything harmful but in the UK you've been a hey get your distance right we are not friends please get away from me well hey yes there's no clan like that doesn't exist you know that this crime will be the white collar crime but not a crime yeah and another one of my pros will be meeting people from virtually you meet so much longer people here from like in the UK from Canada Philippines from the US so one of our friend is going to leave us an insight of how it was for her to have it was for her coming from the u.s. to UM coming from the u.s. that you a UAE has been pretty cool I mean I've been trying to get here for a long time it does have some changes in differences for me but I mean you get used to it very quickly and I like your life is easy as safe like literally the perks of living here is like keeping our own car on and knowing I can go to the grocery store why my engine that the keys in the engine and then I can go to the store and come back and drive off and nothing is removed from our car or anything like that like it's super cool I mean come on is like a thousand degrees outside so I leave that the key in the ignition so would you say that you've settled in quickly yeah I have like I love living here like you meet so many different groups of people like I have basic eyes like a three groups of core friends that I have I have my single friends where we do a lot of single stuff have a little fun whatnot I have my like we do random stuff like oh let's go climbing let's go to jumble Jason just some random things and then I have my married couple friends that's a lot of Jabril and we do like family stuff they be like oh we cooked and I feel I Google free food I'm on my way so it's been really cool Thank You Ruby another Pro that would like to speak about is the fact lifestyle here is much better than many other places nice restaurants many things to do and I say many things to do that you know cut back on mountain climbing you know paintball and everything successful is easy to get to it's nothing that you know you have to you know plan months and a particle to be a comeback hey let's go and it's right there you got school it's always something to do it basically yeah you just go and do it so that's one thing I like is you know the lifestyle hair is amazing and the food people think it's authorizing or anything right they always say that but quite the same prices no not the same place prices London all right if you're from London and you come to Dubai this is Sam oh the only thing is they don't have like don't really have like cheap food shops do you have McDonald's Burger King while I am talking about chicken shop talking about chicken cut except for you max what's that like palace Mali UK chicken EEOC plenteous but they don't have stuff like that and I are I really bring stuff like that just cook your cocktail meal and one of my pros would be that it is a Muslim country like for us one one of the main things that we had in common was we wanted to move I live in a Muslim country so hamdulillah you know we were able to do that so we feel very blessed that we actually mostly herand abandon every day you know it just traveled home from work you had to evaluate stopping must pray continually life in this or you know get any praise abundant time was a big thing and also it is very family-oriented this work oh you did orientate it's very family orientated there's kids everywhere there's so much activities so that even if you go to a festival you know if you if you have festival in some cases you wouldn't be thinking about bringing the kids or being that topic nobody thinking why let's go over there festival you'll see kids running around having fun - all time to deny and they will be turning up at their kids at ten o'clock so festivals how are you know amazing places to learn and also with us obviously we came here together as a couple as a white couple there are some people that have come here alone so our friend Christina it's gonna tell you guys about how it was for her our experience of coming here alone yeah so Christina what has been your experience moving to the UAE on your own from the UK so when I decided to move out here I was really really really excited especially the fact that I was moving on my own I come from a big family I have lots of nieces nephews siblings really close friends so at home I was always doing stuff like for other people don't get me wrong absolutely you love that but it was time to kind of have some time for myself I worked around the clock so coming here I was looking forward to living on my own and just having some more me time time to focus on myself basically okay what do you like most about living in the UAE so for me the number one thing about living here is is so safe so obviously being on your own being a woman there's things that other people worry about but when I came here I realized that no one has to worry because here is it really so save the people are so nice they're so generous and coming from London there's a crime is really harsh and violent crime here you don't have any of that you can leave your door open no one comes in you can leave your keys in the car no one's going to steal anything it's just a whole different experience in terms of safety live also I feel a lot more comfortable living here than I do in London even though that's my home because I'm not worried about crime okay thank you welcome so let's talk about some Conners even though there aren't many handle now the summertime it gets so hot you took an average daily he of 45 degrees nighttime at 40 we're talking to do is not Celsius degrees literally it is ha humidity I'm in general outside never my hundred percent humidity and just soon as you step outside your hope will be wet you know you have paper in your hand that's where so the summertime can't get really hard last fight every summer reject straight back to the UK spent time a defining so with the time we could say what this one is the best even in summer at night is still hot that's how you know it so if you guys have to come to the ER you try and come for like the Christmas period that will be good I mean you're basically be spending all your time in the malls indoors where you ain t is so beautiful like there's so much things you could do outdoors so we do recommend you guys come in the winter in the winter time is the best you can or tell experience all of the outdoor that pleasures basically yeah so yeah another coin for me would be that we don't have any family no we do have family you just have fun oh no sorry we have family but we don't have any family here so there's some like we said there's so much to do but it would be so much better if we had our family here well I'm glad they come to visit right I come to visit regularly and you know we do miss them sort of events at in the way when we do spend time with them we spend more quality time with them and actually we missed it or sometimes it doesn't work out it gets a lot but I guess huh one of Conn's would be when we first came basically like the whole rush and having to find accommodation and this and that like that was very hard so when you first come home don't just you know see an amazing house of amazing beautiful Kelly found jump at it straightaway this we are killing up slowly and you know Frank something that suits you go and remember every year if your rent and you can change your you know change your accommodation the end if you really want it so we're clear away I don't talk to the top straight away and it all depends for example we live in Russell Kramer which is like a 45 minute drive away from Dubai sorry but we don't live an actual the Bible because everyone thinks that we live in Dubai we live in Russell hi mom yeah so accommodation there was a time when is like half the price of what would be a device so what you get in to buy live a means of unit you'll get half that price and also crime is low and you should keep that environment if you do so now we're gonna answer some of your questions so alright then someone asked where do you like mostly to live in basically wait sorry where do you like mostly to live in UAE or London I would prefer to live here in UAE personally I do miss London you know but I will prefer to live here for like the lifestyle has better a few more comfortable I have more time for our personal lives our personal development in its family a staff level overhead limited in the UK's of us one of the major positives yeah I was I think the same I prefer to live here obviously London is where we grew up also it will always be a part of us for our yeah but to live here and another question is do you feel like UAE is your home now or do you want to move anywhere in the near future and I saw you'd you put up so I'm just a few days ago I was sitting on this couch just sitting home from like I was thinking I felt like I felt like I was at home you know when you come back from work in the UK you sit down yourself or you thought I feel comfortable and relaxed that's what I thought the other day was like actually follow me so yeah I follow her and he knows like a lot could take us anywhere so I'm always ready to you know live somewhere else if I had to but I would love to stay here for now Africa so yeah I I feel like here was my home yeah we both had to sing another question was what do you not miss about London and you can't see the weather and mr. LaBelle he actually misses the chord like I had today in London is smaller and I wish that I was in London in the snow so I'll just go grab my nice little Starbucks coffee go for a nice walk in Hyde Park in the snow you know I actually miss all about the cold leather dream cuz all the hell you don't get with this whole year it does get cold sometimes yeah but not cold as in you need a jacket and you know you need to make a nice little tea when you get home from work and sit under a blanket yeah so I don't miss the old guys what do I miss what do I she said what do you not miss what do not miss I don't miss the public transport I like in the Bastile time I like it I like them to know that it's there but at the same time I don't like it but I like to know that so that if I need it I can use and also I don't miss it's the feeling of safety like like going to like some places in London wearing the hijab me personally I used to get scared I still like police's stare at me I don't know how it is now but people didn't used to stare at me here you don't really get that because everyone here wears hijab so I don't miss that you know that this ain't the I feel very safe here that's a big thing I mean I mean do I have to rope my hair there were many nights you don't have the menses how did you bring all your things over we didn't have much so most of the things that we had fit into a suitcase try and live a minimum is life all of you don't store and hoard things you don't need my opinion so just live with what you need and so if you need to ever call any man I could easily take it really don't hold on to things that are just materialistic you don't need it well we well the stuff that were like important to us not everything could fit in our suitcases but we literally had like a look like maybe two two little boxes that we shipped and we're gonna picked up from the airport but I was like I would like happy as Mike let us start fresh good riddance everything fresh new any other questions well job opportunities like an eerie personally I do not know since I applied for my job when I was in the UK I've got the trouble over here and since I've been here looking at other jobs in the UAE but as I say the world's going through a global recession at the moment even under news a speaking about it so it's the same as it is back home there's there's jobs available but there's not as many jobs available as they were back in the day itself I thought like it's easier to apply when you're not here right it depends because it depends okay then so be it the missions and if you are looking to move here or your plan is to move here just basically enjoy it have fun always remember that it's a different country different culture everything is different so it tries to be respectful and just wear thy mind basically you know there's different law said we can't expect to live here with the same rules that we lived in in the UK or the u.s. this is a totem you country and things will not be what we might expect them to be but we just live it and enjoy it because this is a new place so you can show yourself yeah alright then guys make sure you like you subscribe it's nice to subscribe our inspections might be good video thank you and we hope you got all right thank you very much see you the next one [Music]
