okay um here even the spreading of the gospel we ask that you'll bless it to this end we pray in jesus name amen the deacons will wait upon us for me to make introduction of the one whom god has identified to be the conduit of a message of hope during this amazing series our evangelist comes to us tonight as an ordained minister of the seventh-day adventist church having served the church as a district pastor administrator and evangelism coordinator he comes to us tonight as the director of personal ministries sabbath school community service and publishing of the north caribbean conference i am delighted tonight to declare that our evangelist is a prolific and passionate preacher having preached in asia europe panama the united states canada and around the islands of the caribbean ladies and gentlemen there are hundreds of people tonight who can attest to the amazing metamorphosis that god has wrought in their lives for the ministry of this man of god tonight he is coming to us as a happy married man he is married to margaret dorsett peters and to them god has given two adult children dennis and denise rather and dennison his favorite tip is philippians 4 verse 13 i can do all things through christ who strengthens me i want to assure you that as he positions himself to lead us into this bible-based series that he comes to us eminently prepared he holds a bachelor's degree in theology and history from the university of the southern caribbean a masters of divinity degree and a doctor of a ministry degree from andrews university but i am most impressed tonight by the humble demeanor he possesses i want to assure you to position yourself for if you don't know him you will soon discover that he has a fine sense of humor and he can easily transition from the pulpit to any athletic team for he is an avid sports fan ladies and gentlemen i am so proud tonight to present to you our evangelist for the living hope series doctor pastor henry peters help me welcome him somebody thank you thank you very much pastor mate you're a very good evening to everybody are you listening to me out there everybody those of you in radio land and maybe on the social media platform wherever you are tonight i join in welcoming you to this the opening night of the living hope bible explosion ladies and gentlemen there is no doubt in my mind that these meetings have been prepared with you in mind as a matter of fact i may as well tell you there are basically three reasons why we are here and number one we want to offer you hope in this trouble sometimes secondly we are here to help build a better community i know ladies and gentlemen you will agree with me wherever you are whether you are in the island i mean on the island of saint martin or anguilla or maybe you're over in saint thomas in china whether you listen to me in europe or maybe in asia or in africa the truth is ladies and gentlemen we are bombarded with bad news and people are losing hope because we are in the midst of a global pandemic so we are here to offer you hope and thirdly i want you to know based on the command given by the lord jesus christ in obedience to his command we are here this evening we are here in this living hope gospel explosion to let you know that god has some good news for you if you are hearing me out there and you are in person i need to hear you out preparing for a long time they will bring us this this item of music night after night it is indeed what we call our theme song but let me tell you this is the opening night and tonight ladies and god's word if you cannot say it loudly say it in your mind with me this is god's word it has life-changing power i believe it and by god's grace i am determined to live by it oh to god be the glory of our heads about and our eyes are closed wherever you are tonight those of you on the outside you are very much part of this setting uh those of you who have tuned in to the radio or maybe you are on some other sites facebook or youtube i want you to lift up your heart to god in prayer right now our great god of the universe the creator of all humanity we power in submission to your divine will tonight and we pray of god that even as you speak to us that he will grant us receptive hearts i pray that your spiritual minister to our needs and as i'm about to open your word i pray god that the words of my mouth and the meditations of our hearts will be acceptable in your sight oh lord our strength and our redeemer amen the message tonight is titled breaking news coven 19 and at the end of the world covet 19 and at the end of the world the global impact of covet 19 has generated more questions and answers questions about his origin questions about its vaccine questions about its danger questions and how it is impacting the end of the world ladies and gentlemen as i walk through the community i hear remarks from time to time remarks as such as i've never seen anything like this in my lifetime i've heard people say this thing isn't going anywhere i hear them say that the world is definitely coming to an end my brothers and sisters viewers and listeners alike i asked a question tonight what does covet 19 have to do with the end of the world i want you to understand the question what does covet 19 have to do with the end of the world [Music] well i have some breaking news to share with you tonight are you listening to me out there tonight um what does what does coffee 19 have to do with the end of the world i have some breaking news for you and i want to tell you this source from which i have gotten it it is better than good it is real it is the word of god the book of second timothy what book did i say reader second timothy chapter three and verse one second timothy chapter three and verse one i want you to hear it from the reader what does it say reader in the book of second two second timothy chapter three and verse one if you are in person here you see it on the screen yeah just just keep running the screen you are going to see it right at this snow this snowy also come and read this no this know also that in the last days perilous times shall come oh i want you to observe the bible says in the last days perilous times shall come you know this is what the king james version says i read the amplified version and this is what it says in the last days dangerous times shall come i read the niv that's the new international version translation and it says in the last in the last days if a journalist i mean if the journalists of the dead were to capture a headline of this bible passage reader i can imagine it would read something like this breaking news the grievous times are here here or maybe i'll see another another headline which says uh breaking news that which we that which we fear the most has come on or maybe another breaking news one journalists make you up to it like this uh breaking news the plural of the future is now present with us ladies and gentlemen any of these headlines i mean any of these headlines would have endured or captured the fulfillment of this prophetic word in the book of second timothy chapter 3 and verse 1. this is no fake news no i mean it is real news yes it is authentic yes it is reliable yes it is the most credible source yes and you ask me why do you see that preacher why for very simple reason it has to do from the source from which it has come yes it is the word of god you see what we call the bible we often refer to it as the word of god and that's correct reader what what do we refer to it as again the word of god and of course the scripture the scripture the scripture so when you hold in your position the bible uh may i say to you out here when you hold in your possession the bible you're actually holding a library yes oh you didn't get me out there you're holding a library it's a library of 66 books ladies and gentlemen i tell you 66 books written over 2 000 years ago and still relevant i mean uh books that took over 1500 years to put together if you look at the bible it's divided into the old and the new testament the old testament uh written from the 1500 bc right onto 400 bc that's the old testament oh now to get into the new testament from 45 a.d in the year of our lord right on to 180 the new testament was written so a period of over 1500 years to complete the 66 books in the bible reader yes this is phenomenal the bible was written in how many language reader oh that's three yes i gave him an a i was going to give a plus but he hesitated a bit yes the bible was written in three languages that's hebrew come on rita what is it a hebrew aramaic and greek and a greek and oh this is interesting because the bible written in three languages were written not not on papers like we have today but they were written on scrolls and rules of punishment and somebody asked a question some time ago well who wrote the bible preacher you talk about the bible was written over 1500 yeah over 1500 year period yes well the bible gives us the answer again the reliable source second peter chapter 1 and verse 21 2nd peter chapter 1 and verse 21 the bible tells us let's read it over there ii peter chapter 1 and verse 21 yes just touch it a second time and the resolution is going to be better than good yeah you got to touch it just a second time and you're going to find it out there the bible says rita what does it say the bible tells us for the prophecy came not in old times by the will of man but holy man of god spake as they were moved by the holy ghost uh-huh so the prophecy came not by the will of man yes but holy man of god yes i mean holy man of god there is something about about god when he touches the life of a man i mean an ordinary human being he's able to turn them around into an extraordinary human being he's able to take nothing and make something out of it he's able to take a good for nothing and make them into something yeah so those who are unholy yes i'm talking about prophets and uh men who are now called prophets uh they were kings and shepherds and fishermen and never known for their godly lifestyle but something transformational happened and now they are labeled as a holy men of god oh listen to his voice and as they listen to god they were able to tell what god was revealing to them in a language in which people could understand that that's why you have the original writing of the bible in the language of the people of that time are you listening to me everybody yes but how many of us could read hebrew and every mike and how many of us are good on the greek okay well ladies and gentlemen you need to understand from this three original languages the bible was then translated into what is known as the latin vulgate and that was somewhere in the year between the years 383 and 405 a.d that's into latin and then for a long time as a roman empire but from a political and religious perspective occupy the primacy on the world stage you've got to understand that folks who are speaking english couldn't find the bible in the language but then way down the line i mean as you come down the line you will discover ladies and gentlemen the bible is then later translated in english in english and the english translation we can credit a man named john wickliffe in the year 1382 sean wickliffe we can credit him for the english version and then ladies and gentlemen you've got to understand that those holy men of god who brought to us this 66 book i mean the canon they were about 40 in number 40 men writing a book i was looking at cnn just the other day and you know this book that has just come out written by you know co-authored these two outstanding artists put the book together that's two heads but we are talking about 40 men living in a different era yes writing and none of them contradict each other because god himself is the original author of the bible yes he communicates to to human beings what he wants them to know so the bible today ladies and gentlemen is translated in over 704 languages that's up to 2020. the count that we have had is 704 languages the new testament alone 1551 languages and other parts of the bible like the science and maybe the new testament are part of the new testament like like the gospels and as you count you will find a thousand 551 translations so ladies and gentlemen the bible is moving throughout the length and breadth of this world so reader how much of the bible is inspired come on now the bible tells us you got to tell me you tell come on second timothy chapter 3 and verse 16. it says verse 16 the bible tells us all scripture is given by inspiration of god did you say some scripture no oh come what did you see out there reader the bible says that all scripture is given is given by what everybody inspiration of god by inspiration of god now this word inspiration is a very interesting word you are here in a university i must let you know so god is going to expand your intellect when we talk about we talk about you know tell them again reader we are telling the people that all the scriptures all scripture is given by inspiration of god now inspiration actually means god breathes oh no no no no no when god breathes come on god breathes life come on somebody you remember when god made adam come on when god made adam he the bible says he breathed into his nostrils the breath of life so when god breathes and an inspiration literally means god breathes because the word of god the bible says they are spirit on their life the word of god is able to cut through your soul and uh turn you around into a better person that's what the word of god is able to do so somebody says well look if i read the bible i'm going to get crazy i'm not going to touch it you know when i was growing up as a boy i did not own a bible until i was 18 years old wow i knew nothing about the bible would you believe it because in the neighborhood they said don't touch this book if you read this book you are going to go mad so people go to church and they'll go with a bag but no bible have mercy hello no bible and they come home and what did you learn today well the preacher he preached in latin i didn't understand it have mercy uh no you're not in that era that's how you hear that i grew up in but when i saw the light ladies and gentlemen i recognized that the word of god is a lump under my feet yes and a light onto my palm yes oh psalm 119 verse 105 so i began to read the word of god and i discover a passage that i want to share with you because there are some people who believe that the bible is a private interpretation in the book of isaiah chapter 28 verses 9 and 10 isaiah 28 9 and 10 the bible tells us rita would you share it with us the bible says whom shall he teach knowledge and whom shall he make to understand the doctrine yes them that are where we weaned from the milk and the drawn from the breast for precepts must be upon precepts precept upon precept line upon line yes lined up online yes here a little and there a little no no that's a principle of understanding the bible the bible must be studied line up online precept upon precept here a little under a little so it means that you study the bible you will find yourself going from genesis onto revelation and discovering the truth that are hidden in there if you study the bible like that ladies and gentlemen comparing scripture with scripture you will be able to understand what god is saying to you it is of no private interpretation now let's get back to the subject of the evening having established the authenticity of the word come on did you hear me out there and now now we are we are dealing with the subject breaking news uh breaking news covey 19 and the end of the world and now i told you earlier that the bible is a reliable source and now we are discovering that this reliable for our source is authentic come on is somebody hurting me over there yes no if you're in the chat and you believe the bible is authentic just put an a in a chat it means authentic so having established the authenticity of the word it is significant to note that the books of daniel and a revelation specifically address issues of the end time but we must understand that jesus himself in his ministry succinctly addressed the subject of the end of the world yes let us discover matthew matthew chapter 24 matthew chapter 24 and the bible tells us reading from verse three matthew 24 the bible says rita let me hear you there now as he sat on the mount of olives the disciples came to him privately saying tell us when will these things be uh wait a minute wait a minute wait a minute you've got to understand this the context of this passage is significant jesus was with his disciples it was evening time and they took a walk and evening walk and they sat on the mount of olives and they looked at the beautiful city in the plain and they looked at the temple the temple that was the pride of every jew and while they were looking and the sun was was just sparkling on the marbles of the of that temple jesus said boys look look at this out there hey have you observed oh this thing is glittering but let me tell you not one stone will be left have mercy so they came to him and they asked the question verse three what does it say now as he sat upon the house the disciples came to him privately saying tell us when will these things be so where will these things be continue reading and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age wait a minute wait a minute wait a minute we are talking about the end of the world some translations the end of the world so tell us when shall these signs be of your coming now they equate the end of the world with the coming of jesus christ the second time yes i want you to observe this ladies and gentlemen this is significant the bible jesus himself is equating the end of the world with his second coming and jesus answered and said unto them take heed yes that no man deceive you that's right for many shall come in my name in my name i am christ and shall deceive men shall do what everybody the seed this is man they see many deceived many people like jim jones deceiving many oh david koresh deceiving many uh people who are drawing disciples off of their own after themselves the bible says be careful yes be careful be careful i came across people who tell me wherever wherever wherever the word of god is preached i am dead ladies and gentlemen you got to understand the devil is smarter than you are oh lord he is able to receive with the word of god so continue reading reader and ye shall hear of wars and the rumors of wars that's right see that ye be not troubled for all these things must come to pass yes but the end is not yet lord have mercy for nation yes nation shall do what nation shall rise and the kingdom against kingdom that's right and there shall be famines and pestilences and earthquakes in diverse places no jesus christ is answering the question of the disciples when shall these things be when shall the end be and now he gives us a list of signs and among those signs let me just go back to verse seven there shall be farming and shall be famous pestilences now that's a word ladies and gentlemen we need not glued over when we talk about pestilences we are talking about uh our plaques another word for pestilence would be a contagious disease contagious or infectious both you are talking about a sickness that has become of epidemic proportion and pandemic proportion so now when i read the bible if you're asking me what does calvin 19 have to do with the end of the world i am seeing here that jesus in matthew 24 and verse 7 is telling us that in the last days there shall be pandemics hello in the last days there shall be sickness of epidemic proportion yes in the last days there shall be a sickness that will cause you to wear a mask because it is contagious have mercy i want you to observe ladies and gentlemen as we have read what jesus says within the framework within this framework any disease of epidemic and pandemic proportion can be classified as a fulfillment of one of the signs preceding the second coming of jesus christ yes i want to observe this you know as i look at the landscape i mean we can see it as we sit before our television we can see the world from its length on breath and uh we we can see what is happening ladies and gentlemen i've come to the conclusion there are two undisputed facts about kovid 19. let me share this with you and number one copy 19 reveals man's inability to solve this world's problems as we approach the end of time we are living in a world where there has never been more doctors and nurses and scientists in all kinds of speciality yes than today never before yet they cannot solve the problems of this world help us lord so covered 19 has taught me it has revealed to me man's inability to solve the problems of this world as we approach the end of time secondly kobe 19 reveals god's prophetic insights of global conditions leading up to his second coming i wanted to observe these two points these two facts ladies and gentlemen speak volumes god is speaking to us in luke chapter 21 and verse 28 he tells us luke chapter 21 and verse 28 look at what he says luke 21 and verse 20. he says that when you shall do what when you shall do in luke 21 and verse 20. you got to read this reader what does it say i'll put it on the screen as well look 21 and verse 28 says and when these things begin to come to pass then look up yes and lift up your heads for your redemption joyth9 so when you see the signs come to pass you should do what everybody look up we shall do what look up we shall look up look up look up look up because of our redemption yes i must listen to say that this world will not come to an end by a pandemic oh bad as it is yes matthew 24 and verse 14 jesus himself says that when this gospel come on everybody are you seeing this out there when this gospel when this gospel when this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached into all the world as a witness unto all nations eventually and come yes i'm talking about this gospel you ask me what is the gospel well it is a good news come on somebody i want to see big news good news on the screen out there it is the good news yes this is the good news that you know hopefully system amen god has given us hope yes it is the good news that the son of god became the son of man hallelujah so that sons of men might become sons of the living god amen it is the good news that god took upon himself humanity so that he could reach humanity so that he could save humanity it is a good news yes that while the wages of sin is dead i don't have to die for my sins because god gave his son to pay the penalty for my sins amen so that's good news ladies and gentlemen it is good news that's why today in spite of what is happening all around us jesus christ has let not your heart be troubled john 14 1 3 let not your heart be troubled you believe in god also in me in my father's house there are many mansions if it were not so i would have told you i go to prepare a place for you and if i go to prepare a place for you i will come again and receive you unto myself that where i am there you may be also ladies and gentlemen that's good news uh jesus it's somebody said jesus jesus jesus i mean jesus jesus is coming again amen amen now your heartbeat troubled sean in his vision he saw something he says when jesus comes let me tell you ladies and gentlemen let me tell you viewers and listeners let me tell those of you who are on on the radio land or maybe whatever platform you are or maybe you're here in person john says when jesus christ comes he says things will be happening he says this will be followed by something that he saw and he describes he says no i saw it's revelation 21 what did he see he saw a new heaven [Music] continue reading first heaven and the first earth were passed away passed away and there was no more sea no mercy and god will wipe away from the eyes and there shall be no more death no sorrow no crying there shall be no more pain for the former things have passed away so kofir will be over one day it may not be in my lifetime come on somebody it may not be in your lifetime but the bible tells me that kovit will one day pass away amen uh there is going to be a new heaven on the new earth the former things i don't know what you are going through in your life come on now outside of kovitz some of you are here and you can admit you can testify it's only by the mercies of god only by the mercies of god not because it saved you from an accident today but you know that this heart that has been beaten in your bosom for the past 20 30 40 50 70 years let me tell you there is no substitute when it breaks down yes we are here only by the mercies of god amen and while science has been able uh to put peacemakers come on somebody are you listening me out there while they are able to do some sort of prolong of life let me tell you they cannot keep life ongoing just as there is a beginning there is going to be an end just as there was a beginning in this world there is going to be an end and the bible says we must write these things john says tell the people they are faithful and true yes god says it better days are coming we need to shout it better days are coming yes this situation may even get worse before it gets better but you hold on hold on better days are coming how do you know preacher well i'm telling you from the source the most reliable source yes tells me that better days are coming that's why i encourage you tonight listeners and hearers and viewers you got to study the word of god study the word of god it can be adapted to every age and condition of life in the bible we have a revelation of the living god and the prophetic insight of world's condition and that's why i am convinced my brothers and sisters ladies and gentlemen if we are going to be knowledgeable about the end of the world we must study the word of the living god study the word of god talking about the importance of the word i was amused when i read of the colonialism of the powers of europe and it so happened at one time uh the american forces actually occupied some of the territories in the southeast or south seas and while they were out there the soldiers were in command they were in charge i mean when they get into your place it's no longer yours they take over and they say they are guarding they are giving you security so here is one of these army officer taking a stroll one day on the uh the hillside and somehow we peeped out there and there was a cave and he saw an old man sitting out there reading the bible so he looked at him he said old man what are you doing he said me me read god's book oh what nonsense the army officer says back in my country we don't read this book it is a combination of myths and fables it's no good what are you doing maybe old man who was uh from a tribe a cannibal tribe he looked at him and in a very primitive lifestyle and he looked at him and he said look maybe in your country you know read book but me me read god's book before book you come my country me eat you but book changed me so white man you want me to throw a book and eat you the army officer got pale and he stepped back very easily he said you keep your book sir you keep your book ladies and gentlemen we have seen the miracles yes that have been wrought in the lives of those who read this amen amen and families that have been torn apart have come together hallelujah uh you see on the screen and just on the screen there for me we have seen families who have been torn apart when they read the word of god uh there is a re-igniting of love one more time we have seen children when they get together with their parents and read the bible oh they put away guns and they begin to ask for bible oh they begin to live happily as a family ladies and gentlemen i recommend to you this book this is the only book that answers all the questionings of your life this is the only book that gives us hope in a hopeless situation this is the only book that can turn united today i wonder why aren't we reading this book when i read this book i understand that i am a sinner amen and i need christ as my savior this is the book that tells me that ladies and gentlemen this book tells me about the love of jesus christ i want to see on the screen just walk with me out there on the screen just flip it out there and you will see what i am showing to you i want to tell you that this book tells me that i deserve to die but because of the love of jesus yes i can stand out here with hope proclaiming the everlasting gospel letting men and women know that there is now salvation in no other name but in the lord jesus christ for on that cross of calvary he was wounded for our transgression he was bruised for our iniquity the chastisement of our peace was upon him but thank god by his stripes we can be healed tonight there is healing in the veins of jesus there is healing in the blood of jesus tonight ladies and gentlemen i want you to know what the world needs today is jesus the only hope i mean the only hope for the world today is jesus amen we though jesus amen we have no life we have no hope i present to you tonight jesus christ the living hope yes yes [Music] there is much confusion in this world today peace has done to fight this is not what god intended this is not what he had planned things are very different now than when we first begun we say god is our father we see we're trusting him but we have left his ways for our ways and fallen into sin yet we claim to seek forgiveness and we still will follow him but god would not have led us to this place when we now live the only hope for the world is gee the only help for this world is a touch from god oh how we need him we must seek him with all of her heart and all those souls there is no other help we know than jesus christ the only hope for the world well it's time for all of the people to call upon the lord and pray to god almighty to touch and heal a world and if every heart would be humble and its soul will turn to god the love will reign in every heart love will be enough the only hope for the world is jesus the only help for the heart is a touch from god oh how we need him we must seek him with all of our heart and all our soul there is no other help we know than jesus christ the only hope for the world the only piece is the prince of peace moving in a heart today and the only good news is the good news that jesus sees the way this world is jesus the only help for this world is a touch from god oh how we need him we must seek him with all of tonight ladies and gentlemen god has spoken we have heard his voice we have seen the unfolding of bible prophecy we can actually feel the urge of the spirit of god in our hearts reminding us that the end of all things is at hand my purpose now is to get the answers to two questions before you leave this setting my purpose is to get the answers to questions and i know that you you those of you are in person you can just get your response tonight's message and you can indicate at the back of this card do you believe the bible gives authentic answers to questions relating to the end of the world
