comments what are you drinking i am still working on my water this is my last one once i finish this i will be done but usually when i work out i'm usually done with my water at this point which i like because then i just drink whatever i feel like i need to have with dinner and then i'm done um for the night to help sleep through the night possibly tmi but i am trying to um finish up my water today some more water all the water y'all we just we have to drink all the water especially during winter i feel like i need a lot more water although it's nice being back in new york it is not near as dry here as it was in chicago it was dry in chicago my skin felt it my hair felt it my body felt it it was it was a lot um lots of butter oh katie i'm a little jealous a little jealous of your wine saving my my drinks for sunday to enjoy it during the game can we start uh speaking of the super bowl let me know in the chat who are you rooting for if you are watching the super bowl if you're into football and also can we petition or something for the game to start earlier like why does it gotta start so late on a sunday i don't understand it's just that's like my least favorite thing about super bowl sunday is how late the game actually starts on the east coast like i don't think the west coast would be all that mad if we pushed it up an hour or two it's just just my opinion on that situation thank you becca that's very sweet i tend to lose in my face first and gain in my face first so it doesn't surprise me but that is where you all can see the difference but i appreciate you noticing all right so we've got some tampa we've got some kc anyone but brady rooting for kc so i am also rooting for kansas city i'm sort of on the anybody but brady train but my typical rule when i don't have a horse in the race when i don't actually care who wins i root for whichever team has the most longhorns um the most texas longhorn players and there are none on tampa bay and there is one defensive player on the kansas city chiefs his name is alex oak four and that is the one longhorn in the game so i'm rooting for casey for that purpose because i always want a longhorn to end up with a ring so all right i'm excited i'm excited i just i mean i like football in general so all right what questions do y'all have let me know what what you want to talk about tonight what what's on your mind how are things going it's a fresh start it's a new month it's a perfect month i love when the first is a monday although i'll be honest i didn't feel like i got as much of my like sunday prep as i normally would have liked to get done so i didn't feel totally prepared for the first of the month but that's okay it's all right all right colleen i don't know if i believe until noon eastern because that's a 9 a.m for the west coast i'm even voting for noon west coast time 3 p.m eastern would at least be nicer for us that's all i'm saying that's all i'm saying what do i find helpful about tracking my food that's a great question so for me it holds me accountable there's two reasons right now one is trying to get my protein in i am trying to hit a protein goal that's what my nutrition coach has me focusing on and if i don't track i don't know if i'm hitting my protein goal and i find when i'm hitting my goal i it is i'm much more successful like her method is working for me the other reason that i do track my food is it holds me more accountable to not overeating and saying like oh i'm actually only having one square of this bar of chocolate because i'm putting it in my into my app or even like i'm going to starbucks get a latte but i'm putting it in my app and that's kind of how i it that's how it holds me accountable and that's i think the biggest reason you just started doing affirmations and i'm so excited for you brianne i they have made such a difference for me and i'm curious which one of your i am statements is my favorite so right now you know i'm i really like them all i like that i'm writing down specifics about my goals like i'm being very specific so i'm writing out i am losing weight and i think that's one of my favorites right now um i'd like that i can change them up too you don't have to do the same i am statements forever and ever you can change them up when you hit goals i'll share that a little bit later lisa marie the online class was great thank you so much for asking we had our first session on monday it was awesome we had 70 um amazing women live chatting all about goal-setting mindset and it was incredible and i just i'm so excited to keep going and keep working through this with them sarah i did all kinds of dance growing up i mean my mom and dad put me into ballet and tap when i was four like combo combo class and then i was eight or nine i think when i started doing competitive and that's when i also added in jazz and hip hop and those were kind of the four styles that i stuck with throughout until i was 18 and i'll be honest i only took ballet because it was required to be on the competitive jazz team otherwise i probably would have dropped ballet way earlier it wasn't my favorite at all but it was required to be on the competitive team and but tap was always my favorite and always my go-to nikki can you talk about talk about sticking to your calories macros points diet plan um i don't necessarily know what you're asking here in terms of like do you have a specific question i think it just helps planning it in advance pre-tracking when i know what we're having for dinner so i can have a snack earlier and i know you know trying to hit my protein goal um i think also just giving yourself a little bit of grace like a five depending on what it is that you're trying to track if it's a macro a plus five to minus five if it's calories like plus a hundred to minus a hundred to be honest like just giving yourself a window and not trying to stick to an exact number another reason left coast is the best coast you know on that from that standpoint it is from the time that things start i agree with you i want to work on discipline to be more productive any tips or advice on where i should start this is a pretty big question becca but my biggest tip in terms of anything is starting small so the struggle that we have with productivity sometimes is we try to tackle too much and then when we realize that we can't tackle all of that we just completely give up on it and so start with a smaller list start with a smaller task start with focusing for five minutes and then take a break and then 10 minutes and then take a break until you build up that endurance to stay productive for longer without taking breaks and then always take the breaks you can't just be productive forever sarah i love that you are multitasking and watching this while you are working on your goals cassandra i don't know if it's cassandra cassandra i am not sure if you're asking about what app i use to track my food right now i'm using eye track bites not any particular program or reason just that i like their aesthetic better than any of the other ones yes i am doing one little word i am behind i have not even done january yet because january just got away from me um so i am trying to get january and february done february done this month oh this is a tough one you're getting a new iphone would you restore your old settings or start again i always restore all my old settings because it just feels like it would take way longer to start again but man starting fresh might be might it i think it depends on how you felt about your settings if you were already feeling overwhelmed and you kind of wanted to go through your apps anyway or go through your photos or change things then start fresh lisa this is a fun question what's the highlight of your week so far oh man the class monday's the first session from monday's goal setting class for sure any tea recommendations wanting to cut out your late afternoon coffee but you're not a huge tea drinker so if you're going from coffee to tea then i would start with black tea an english breakfast is a really good like simple black tea to start with and take it the same way you would take your coffee so if you have milk and sugar in your coffee put milk and sugar in your tea and then if you want to cut back on that ever for calorie purposes you can work on that but my first if you're going from coffee to tea start with black tea and take it the same way you would take your coffee i i mean i love english breakfast in general um that's one of my go-to's just started following you welcome hello can you talk about adding action items into weekly and daily schedules please yeah so i'm gonna do tackle them separately because they're very different so weekly is really hard for me unless it is something that has to be done every single week and only needs to be done once a week i struggle with putting things on to the weekly but the weekly works just like the monthly and just like you would put something into your calendar instead of putting it one time you're putting it one time every single week but scheduling the time to put it into your weekly calendar or when you're going to check in with it for example spoiler alert one of my february weekly goals is to hit a certain total number of steps for the entire week well obviously that's not doesn't go into my calendar because it's just a weekly thing so it's something that i will check in on monday mornings did i accomplish it for the prior week dailies are a little bit different and one of the things that i've always said with dailies into your action items is to really only try and add one new daily habit every single month just one that does not mean that you can only have one thing on your powersheets if that's the tool that you're using or your moxie life you know you've got the i think there's six now in the corner no matter which layout you have fill them all in but five of the six or six of the seven i don't want to say should i would encourage you to have five of the six or six of the seven be things that you've already started working on and you're just tracking and holding yourself accountable by having it in that daily section where one is like brand new the thing that you're just starting to focus on this month and then same thing those need time in your schedule so if you're putting down to read every day well where are you putting that in your calendar sometimes it's something as easy i did last month lighting a candle well that one didn't need to go into my calendar so making sure that you check in with whatever tool you're using every single day to make sure that you get those little daily things done that don't take up space in your calendar hope that was helpful how am i adding more protein always a struggle yeah lisa it is tough for me too a lot of times so yogurt greek yogurt and cottage cheese are like some of my saviors in terms of adding protein i have a protein shake basically every single day that gets a lot of protein in um we have very just bigger servings of meat in our dinner um and lunch because we have leftovers for lunch and just smaller servings of whatever the carb or the starch is that's going with our dinner and having more meat than i normally would and then some other protein heavy snacks beef jerky is a good one um i have some edamame in the freezer that i've been meaning to make that's actually very protein heavy and kind of trying to add those in and then eggs i love eggs that's the other way i get get my protein oh man this is a hard question i'm taking some water hang up you mentioned that your hatch was one of your top three purchases of 2020 what were the other two that's hard my ipad that's okay there's one two my ipad was number two for sure um my plum paper daily i bought that in 2020 right yeah i still i started it july 1st of 2020 was my yeah that was the second the third best purchase those three things one thousand percent have changed my life absolutely this is a great tip jenny having a backup plan your diet is helpful what can i eat from a rash restaurant fast food easy to make meal or snack that will fit in with my diet plan yeah so even on the days that there are days that i don't track because i just i need a break from it and i just really focusing on focus on heavy protein i did end up hitting my goal for the class thank you so much for asking i was very very excited did i go outside and see the snow i did today elizabeth monday i did not because it was like still pretty windy and coming down i didn't really want to deal with it and then yesterday i just it's that time of the month i wasn't feeling 100 last night and so i didn't want to go out and like bundle up to see it but i did go for a walk today and go see the snow at this point until unless i go to a park it's kind of gross because it's all kind of brown now at this point in the city i mean there's still piles of pretty snow but there's also piles of icky snow but we did get a ton of snow hi kaden how long did it take you to get a solid hatch routine that's a great question amy you know my actual routine i haven't changed in a long time um if like the actual setup of the routine hasn't changed since i started it what took me a while to get into was actually just following it and sticking with it and then figuring out how long i wanted the meditation to be because some of them felt too long and some of them felt too short and so figuring out kind of what the timing was the actual steps haven't changed but the timings i guess have have changed a little bit over time maybe two a month give or take oh my gosh i'm so excited for you i was watching an older weekly vlog the other day and saw you purchased a carriel meal planner are you currently using it michelle you know what's funny is i totally forgot about that planner i did i bought it and then i was like i'm gonna wait and save it till 2021 and i haven't even started using it yet and i'm so mad at myself that i missed out on a whole month of it i am planning to start using i just remembered this the other day but i am planning to start using it i don't have a ton of great meal planning tips because meal planning is definitely not one of my strong suits i use a cookbook called called cook once eat all week that has absolutely changed my life in terms of meal planning um i also weed a lot of leftovers in our house i always make more than we need because we're just the two of us and i always have leftovers um and i always make sure to build in at least one night that we're gonna order in because i'm not cooking every single day and now sam has actually taken on one day a week he's cooking so for originally it was five days i was cooking one day of order in and one day of leftovers but now sam is cooking um he got a walk for christmas that he's if you saw that weekly vlog he's really excited about and so he's cooking once a week with the wok so now it's um four to five days of cooking depending on how many leftovers i think we're going to end up with one day of ordering in sam's walk do i use an online system to plan or track your content yeah i use a google spreadsheet it's very boring it's not very complicated um because it's just not it's very simple yeah super proud of me for using the library thanks loretta um so no because i'm not allowed to buy books and the fiction one at the new york public library had 389 holds 389 so no i'm not reading the fiction one and that's okay does my hatch bother sam at all i don't know if i can get my husband on board no so he actually really likes the white noise aspect of the hatch so that worked out really well i mean it was kind of a fingers crossed on that situation um i go to bed before he does so all the stuff leading up to the white noise like he doesn't deal with because he's out here and i'm in bed so he um he comes to bed and the white noise is already on and he doesn't bother him at all and then light in the morning he wears an eye mask to sleep so it doesn't bother him yeah the library hold situation is kind of a mess i put what's the other thing i just put on hold um decluttering at the speed of life i just put that on hold which i'm hoping i get before i have to pack but i don't know if i'm going to i started a new planner after two years in a happy planner i purchased an amplified planner and thought it would be too much but you're hooked on the daily planning pages the spiral everything i am using the amplify planner for work and i'm also loving it um it's still a little bit too much space for me for work but it works like it's too much space but that's it's better if too much than not enough have i read the book cast no i have not it's on my to read list but i have quite a few other uh social justice justice books on my list and that i actually own the physical book that i'm going to get to first before i get to that one i use an app on libby where you can get free library books maybe try an app on there yeah that's a good suggestion so here's the other thing about cindy's book club i don't know how much participating i'm actually going to be doing in like in the it's in discord i downloaded it and signed up because of cindy but i have not really used it and i still don't really get it so i don't know how much discussing i'm going to be i'm really just looking forward to city's emails and her thoughts on it and for the non-fiction for the fiction one there's not really going to be much of that because she's not going to do spoilers so i don't necessarily because i'm not going to participate in the discussion i'm not as sad to be missing out on the fiction book that fiction book sounds amazing and i'll add it to my list someday but i have other fiction books too that i'm working on so i'm not i'm not too sad about that situation um but i'm excited to read the nonfiction one and read her emails that come with the nonfiction one uh i i mean yes supposedly it's that easy but it just feels so complicated and just like another place to go look for messages and like comments and all the things like i'm trying to spend less time on my phone not not go hang out in another place so that's my other struggle with it oh my gosh yeah maybe if i was at home one of my siblings could show me how to use it but i saw this thing the other day that was like a millennial versus a gen z and it was like side part versus middle part cry laughing emoji versus the skull emoji um skinny jeans versus mom jeans like i don't even remember what else it was the irony is that the millennials want the skinny jeans and the genzies with the mom jeans and i sent it to my sister and i was like this is us and the things that we prefer is really funny lisa marie so she's doing her nonfiction book which is the one i picked up at the library today you may have seen it on oh there's india's oh my gosh so mad at me for being anti-discord um the non-fiction book is called un f your habitat um and the fiction book is the invisible life of addie larue i believe is what it is so yeah oh alexis thank you for letting me know i will check where i'm at on the holds on my i much prefer a physical book but if my hold is too long then i might download it thank you any ideas on not to have a spending spike after a no spend with the things you still want to buy oh that's a great question this is one of the reasons why i don't really do no spends because i just it's kind of like a diet for me if i'm not allowed to have little things as i'm going at the end i'm just going to to binge and do all of it so that that that is why i don't think a no spend would work for me if you my thought here would maybe to be let yourself buy one thing which one thing are you the most excited about at the end of your no spend and put the rest of those things on a gift idea list for you in the future cindy's over here telling me not to be a wuss i'm sure assuming you're talking about discord [Music] i know i just feel like i don't need another platform do i know of any apps or softwares where you can play board games with um friends and family remotely so sarah besides jack box is one i know of um kahoot is the one we've used at work and that's all the only ones i know of but honestly i haven't really gone digging for any of that yes exactly the restrict binge cycle um i realized didn't work for me with food so i'm pretty sure it wasn't gonna work for me with budgeting so instead i give myself an amount for certain categories and if i hit that amount in a month well then now i'm on a no spend for that category until the next month but i still got to buy something that month oh yeah house party that's a good one too um but the only thing i don't like about house party is you have to be on your phone i kind of like and then you have to set it up and it's just all the things tabletop gaming tabletop simulator game of life and clue oh i like all of these okay we're gonna have to look into that using discord for voice chat oh so many things so many things did i use aol chat rooms i did as a teenager or kid um as both yeah okay but like we're within a bubble it's chat rooms within a bubble we're in a bubble of cindy's people and then we have the chat rooms about the different things is that how that works first you're avoiding facebook for discord see my patreon group is still on facebook so i i'm still hanging out on facebook oh you've started some kind of voice from oh no amanda oh no yeah aol chat rooms were such a risky place to live on the internet in the late 90s early 2000s yeah we only had aol what is your favorite cafe or bakery in new york city and what is your favorite thing to order there i love this question amy so my favorite bakery is levi levane lavonne i don't know how to pronounce it it's l-e-v-a-i-n i think it's levaine and they have the best cookies the best and they have a peanut butter chocolate chip one that's to die for that's my favorite baked good in the whole city it's so good don't make no i brianna we are not moving over to discord i have no intention of doing that i i will try and figure it out for cindy but i will not be moving less to discord no worries oh my gosh i love that that's amazing aol also had bubbles i don't remember that at all okay so we're in cindy's bubble and then we have our own chat rooms okay oh i like soft chocolate chip cookies i like my cookies still a little bit doughy if possible and so that's what i like about levine's cookies is they're super super thick like they're like this big they're they're pretty epic and so the inside is super soft and yummy oh and you have a family discord oh my gosh so many wait methods of communication my family can very barely keep up with a group text oh that sounds amazing i would love to come to london sometime soon we are going to be hopefully by next year because we're getting married first but uh one of my bridesmaids is gonna be getting married in ireland next year so we will definitely be hopping that direction i don't know that we'll make it to london on that trip but we are definitely going to europe next spring sometime okay is that where like that the where discord really came from was like the video game world is that i just can't i don't know um amy i don't know about that i feel like a lot of people love doughy cookies oops not the one i was gonna click on oh you mentioned so cindy who has been in the chat if you scroll up a little bit or just search i am not going to be able to spell her last name if somebody else could add it that would be fantastic but if you go to her account she posted a video yesterday yesterday it went up she is doing the book book club cindy is hosting the book club not me um there's a fiction option and a nonfiction option i am participating in the nonfiction option oh that's a good question i need to be better about managing my work emails what's your best solution for getting to zero and then maintaining from there so for me the best way to get through work emails is to sort by sender i find it so much easier because there's certain senders right that send stuff that you just need to file you're not responding or you're being copied on it and it's somebody else having a conversation and you just file those and be done with it and then you know which ones you actually have to respond to and then you set aside time to just respond it respond to it block off time on your calendar to do that then once you are at inbox zero i get through my emails twice a day so in the morning and at in the more like first thing when i first start work and then at the end of the day i make sure that i go through my emails and either it either stays in my inbox because it's going to be a to-do item for the next day or it gets filed away or it gets responded to and i do that twice a day and that's how i get through them now that works for me and my job and the number and types of emails that i get that might not work for everybody but that's that's four works for me oh my gosh 30 carbs i don't know if i could do that yes join the book club for physical environment goals yeah the nonfiction book is related to cleaning and taking care of your physical space which obviously is a goal for us as well so one of my major goals actually so i it worked out really well that book was on my was it on my list or am i i think it was on my list um anyways so it works out i also got to had two other books that were ready for me at the library um they're they're literally called start and finish and i can't even remember the author's name now but i heard him on a podcast the other day talking about them and i was like oh those sounds like books that i want to read they're about goals and um we'll see we'll see if they're actually good but now i have a lot of books from the library that i need to finish yes amanda how did you get that so fast those are that's it yes agree completely with that ally moderation for sure that's what works for me too here's another email tip immediate follow-up for work read through your emails sort them into immediate a current or general sort and then work oh there you go you got the book i'm not allowed to buy books so that is that is not an option oh you've read them are they good are they worth it or should i just return them or skim them does it count as a book if i skim it or if i just like read the main points yeah the titles intrigued me too um so that's why i decided to snag it yes i have watched bridgeton um i liked it i wasn't like obsessed with it i i do struggle sometimes watching shows that are historical like that and like what they're they're at like the the situation with women like i just can't sometimes where it's like her job is to marry and bear children and i'm like really like no i'm like i'm with eloise like there is more to life than that and um so that's my struggle with it i started it i watched with my mom so i finished it while we were in chicago i'll watch the next season because i just will um i also i don't want to spoil it for anybody but i was like the ending of the first season i was kind of like i feel like we should have had to wait longer for that finish was better okay build rules for work email absolutely yeah lots of work email i don't know if skipping counts as reading no no i wouldn't say that um i think it's it's just there is something beautiful about it that i do appreciate like the aesthetic of the entire show and all the different characters so many characters and i like i'm into that and then kind of the mystery behind it i was also into that but it was just like it was a little too much i'm going to read the book though because i've i figured i might as well like if they made something into a tv show i want to read the book um also we have this whole conversation my mom and stepdad and sam and i about how most of the time a really good tv show or movie nowadays was a book first like most of the time but yeah he has another one called do-over that one didn't sound as enticing to me so i didn't put it on hold i figured if i loved these and then i would maybe consider it but i feel you on that ashley oh i wish i was that good i do i do check emails when they come in just to make sure but i won't respond right away amanda oh that's how it is in the books too dang i do not have an amex carry i appreciate the tip though for anybody who might if you have an amex there's a tip for books are there any other fiction series besides harry potter that you made it through yeah i read all of the um the divergent series i read all the hunger games except the new one i haven't read the new one yet that came out i have read all of the unwind series a lot of those like that kind of same genre like those all kind of fall in the same category there are quite a few matched i think is another one um i feel like there's one more that i'm forgetting that is oh uglies like that's a series that's like you know teenage dystopia society um i think that's it in terms of like fiction series that i've read the whole thing oh i mean when i was little like the series of unfortunate events i read all of those nancy drew i read all of those there's nine bridgerton books oh my goodness the tv show is better than the book oh leah okay that makes me feel better so i'll read the first one because a friend sent it to me but then i may not be like excited to read the second one and i'll be okay with that that's hilarious comparison oh my gosh that's so funny oh speaking of bakeries and sweets have i had the crazy sundaes at blacktap i have had their shakes i had a shake we went there when we were interns because we thought it was just the coolest concept um i don't know if i've been back since that was a long time ago however the shadowhunter series no i have not yes i loved match too hey michelle yeah i have all of those books on my kindle just like from before maybe i should just reread those and count those i mean obviously they would count if i read the whole thing but i also have so many other books and some of them are fiction that i need to read the actual books that i own especially fiction because i can send them i'm very comfortable sending those on off to friends after i read them like non-fiction depending on the book i kind of like to keep it for myself after i finish the book i might lend it to you but then i want it back like i lent untamed to my mom but i want it back but fiction like i'm happy to send it on and if i never see it again it's totally fine like keep passing it on and so i need to read the fiction that i own physical books so that i can get through it yes lisa murray i did see that snow pear stairs back we watched last week's episode but we have not watched this week's yet because we don't have cable so we have to wait until it gets on the tnt website um last week's episode in my opinion was kind of meh but is the first episode of a new season ever the best probably not unless it's game of thrones oh this well maybe now i'm gonna have to read all of them but there's no way i'm getting those from the library there's like eight gazillion holds on it you're looking for a good thriller um have you read the jillian flynn books so it's sharp objects gone girl and what's the third one they're not related they're all individual um stories on their own but i think those are really good i'm not really into a super thriller it's more my dad's favorite genre but those books i really like i don't really know anything by him i don't even know who he is i'm being honest john clancy ooh the giver of stars i think that's on my list crystal of books to read my non-fiction or my fiction i always mix them up which makes no sense my fiction to read list is massive massive oh i have the woman in the window on one of my shelves to read looking for a new show to recommend um you know michelle some people might give you some good recommendations but i would go try and find the section of last week's live we have this conversation last week too and there were a lot of great recommendations um snow piercer is fantastic it's on tnt and you can watch all of last season and now it's current and it's happening right now um what else uh zoey's extraordinary playlist is the other one we're watching right now that i absolutely love good morning from the other side oh ashley best enneagram books to be honest i haven't read any yet i have two that i got for christmas um the honest enneagram and then taking care of your type but i have not read either of them and i haven't read any other any ingram books but i'm excited to get into it so maybe somebody else can give you a tip yeah queen's gambit is fantastic if you haven't watched it yet susan stabile stab bio yeah i'm looking for forward to um to reading that reading people is that the name of a book rachel like reading people i love personality tests let me know in the comments are you also in a personality test do you know your enneagram and or your myers-briggs type y'all this chat has turned into a massive list of book recommendations which is dangerous because that's all we need is more books we all have massive two read lists oh it's the title okay great oh and did not click i could not get into marvelous mrs basil and it's even set here and usually i'm obsessed with show set in new york nicole there's a couple places to take the test um if you google i mean you can find one take take a test but i would say that the best way to learn or to figure out which one you are is to learn about them and then figure out which one you identify with the most because the test is really hard to it's i just find it's not the most accurate you know depending on your mindset that day and what you're thinking about work or personal it just kind of can it can be not totally accurate oh look at all these different types i'm also a type three i am not an intj though that's what sam is rachel he's a seven wing eight oh yeah the gretchen rubin one is fun too oh my gosh brienne i do those too and for some reason what are the ones that i keep getting right now um that buzzfeed keeps giving me like in my facebook feed and i keep clicking on them which is how i keep getting more of them but no i do all of those too i love seeing all these different types by the way it does not matter if you know your type or not it's just one of those things to really help like understand yourself and then understand others it can kind of help guide you in that way oh here's a good recommendation abby how's videos on youtube to help figure out your enneagram type there you go i thought i was a rebel turns out i'm a really lazy obliger so this is the gretchen ruben one that she's talking about that the rub it's a rebel obliger um questioner and upholder what's my minus breaks uh rachel i don't think i said it so i am n e s and then my tf kind of depends on the day of the week um jay but my other those other three i am like pretty far on the edge like of the e the s and the j like i am like i score in like the 80 to 90 range for those but then my tf is like depends on the day oh my gosh michelle i would love to have a event in new york eventually when everything is safe i'm so excited um the tea place that it was scheduled to be at is blank slate and they have not reopened the tea one they also have a coffee shop next door they have to open the coffee shop but they have not opened the t1 yet which makes me really nervous and really sad for them but yeah i just know that i'm dauntless oh my gosh another another amazing personality test i've always felt like those align somewhat though really well with the harry potter houses anybody else feel me on that like i feel like they all kind of except for i would combine two of them to make hufflepuff maybe that's why i like you yeah blank slate a super cute place it's really hard in general right now y'all it's really hard to walk around the city because it feels like every other store front is closed like every other restaurant every other little store or shop everything is boarded up and it is just so hard to see and really sad i'm also a raven puff yeah so i'm a ravenclaw first but then definitely a hufflepuff second oh interesting interesting oh another esfj oh my gosh rachel then just accept it why don't you want to be a gryffindor that's so funny um when we went to orlando as a family for thanksgiving a few years ago we like took we spent our time in lines waiting for stuff like taking all of the tests and all the different ones over and over again one of my brothers one of my little the twins and they were nine at the time ten and he kept getting ravenclaw we just like could not believe that he was a ravenclaw but yes it is from divergent the book slash movie so there's five like categories that you fall into um and you base you can either like you take a test and that tells you which one they think you should be but then ultimately you get to decide which one you want to go in um so you can pick to go with what your test results were you can pick to go to a different one but there's five of them but i feel like they kind of almost really line up well with the harry potter houses oh wow that's really tough that's hard yeah it's kind of super sad sometimes like walk around the city and see it i'm like oh there's a lot of people out and about and the restaurants seem like the bigger restaurants seem to be doing okay um they have these crazy like this one restaurant on the street has like individual rooms almost like they basically built a structure outside but they have walls in between and then they've got there's only like four or five of them um so obviously that restaurant is still not making what they were making before by only having four or five tables but you're basically in your own little room but it's like it's not like the little greenhouses or the little igloos it's like wood like they built a structure it's amazing um it's amazing to see some of the creativity that these places have have done to keep going i mean otherwise what would they do i feel like there haven't been a ton of questions tonight i feel like we've done a lot of chatting but it's all been kind of um just chatting and not super questions but it's fun there are a lot of book recommendations oh i miss brunch too i miss brunch yes and i also miss just going out for drinks you can't do that you can only go out if you're going to the restaurant which i'm not doing right now when is my next trip if any um and we don't have anything booked and probably won't until it feels like things are going to be somewhat back to normal tentatively not booked but our tentative next trip would be the last week of august um sam the company sam's work for gives incentive trips every year um and we have gone on two we went to orlando and then we went to seattle last year we should have gone to austin which would have been amazing this year we're going to dc which feels a little weird but it's the last week of august so we'll see but that would that would likely be our first trip um if we end if it still ends up happening because based on the projections here in new york normal vaccines for like everybody else aren't going to happen until the summer so oh my gosh ashley you are the world's best chef ever what are my gretchen reuben and divergent types so my gretchen reuben is i'm an upholder um i do lean obliger like i'm much more successful if i am obliging to somebody but i can uphold myself if i have to uh my divergent type is air you diet i can't even say it but that's where i am you're wanting a brunch wedding oh my gosh if your girlfriend never pops the question are you dropping hints over there rachel did you tell her no dc is fabulous don't get me wrong i'm excited to go to dc it's just with everything that's happened over the last month it feels a little weird to say that our first trip is gonna be dc but i am excited about about going there oh i'm glad that you got your first dose yeah i've heard i've heard mixed reactions to um to the vaccine side effects some people have had a lot some people had done all of my grandparents at this point have at least gotten their first dose and they've all been fine which is really really great um so interesting i haven't heard this so if you have side effects that are stronger than you likely had it before that is not something i've heard before but so interesting oh my goodness katelyn i somewhat thought that we were maybe gonna make it through the whole live without anybody asking um because it's already 6 50. so i don't i i don't want to get our hopes up because we have not officially been approved or signed a lease but we have put in an application for a new apartment um we went apartment hunting on sunday and found a place that we really loved and put in an application and so fingers crossed yeah ours is basically the same um by age and by drop but the states also are controlling it which is making it kind of a mess what is your favorite hobby outside of goals that i have never mentioned um rachel i don't feel like i have one like i don't feel like i have a hobby that i have not talked about that's not like reading or goals or planning and maybe that should be a goal for me someday but right now i don't i feel like i don't have one dancing maybe when we can go back to taking dance classes that's a hobby of mine no colleen it is not the fourth floor one um that one was it was a good option we did see it but this one um is actually on the third floor but it has laundry in unit which would just be amazing like it would just be the best thing ever so what is one of sam's favorite hobbies and how do you share that with him well jenny one of sam's favorite hobbies is playing video games and i do not share that with him another one of sam's hobbies is watching anime and i also do not share that with him the only hobby that i guess we both share if this counts as a hobby is going to see live theater um musicals plays and going to see live shows which we obviously can't do right now but that's the one that we have together um it is it's much bigger michelle it's a three bedroom yeah susan laundry and unit sounds like a must but unfortunately in new york it is very very rare in fact it's the only one that we saw that had it in unit and that was i mean that was definitely a pro but it wasn't the only reason that we chose that apartment but it it is very rare in new york unfortunately so it feels like silly that and and like saying that it has a dishwasher like feels like a ridiculous thing to say but like it does which is amazing my favorite color is orange that feels random because i don't use orange a whole lot but it is uh michelle it doesn't have an ice maker unfortunately not a i feel like fridges in new york don't have ice makers what would be the best advice you'd give to someone to want the best advice you would give to someone wanting to start out planning on youtube rachel just start the hardest part is getting started film your first video and post it like just get started i have two videos that i would recommend one is my top 10 youtube tips one i did was a youtube q a maybe go watch those and then and then get started grace i'll ask him i don't know what they're called but i will ask he has like noise-canceling headphones on right now so he can hear me no susan so most apartments at least this would have been well not a deal breaker but a nice to have any apartment i've lived in and all the other ones we saw it's in the basement of the building so it's still in the building you don't have to go outside but it's it's shared with everybody in the building michelle that's amazing favorite cocktail order at a bar so rachel i always look at the like the specialty cocktails that the restaurant or the bar does because i always want to try something unique and i pretty much if they have a whiskey one on there that that sounds like a flavor i would like that's the one that i go for um if i'm just getting like a plain simple cocktail it's whiskey and ginger ale that's like my go-to but i love me a good margarita too and then i also will get like a vodka cocktail if on their cocktail menu it sounds good yeah as long as it's in the complex yeah it would have been had to be everything else would have had to be like amazingly perfect for me not to pick an apartment that at least had it in the building um but even so like the one that was on the fourth floor and it was in the building in the basement like that would have been insane oh my god we can't be friends anymore no don't say it say it so i love pretty much anything except for jim does that help favorite self-help books right now um so right now i'm reading very specific books to my goals so i'm reading how not to die focused on my health goal and then i'm reading a business book um my favorite self-help book that i recommend which is you can't see it it's cut out is the lazy genius way super bowl do you make it a celebration any special snacks live tweet it with friends um normally we will watch it with like at least one other couple um obviously this year is different but it we like we've never had cable so we're cool being like hey we'll come over i don't like when it's a big party like i just don't think that that's a fun way to watch the super bowl um and no specific snacks i mean if there's like normal you know chips and dip and things like that involved it's my idea oh that's such a sweet gift all right y'all rachel coming in with all the fun questions at the end let's wrap it up with what is one thing that you are going to do this week to work on your goals to make progress on your goals it can be small one small thing that you are going to do this week i might be citing a lease maybe that will be my one small thing that i do for one big thing that we do this week to make progress on that goal which would be amazing it would feel so good to have that signed and ready to go but we're waiting they all come rushing and wake up by 7 30 schedule your walks and set up your plum paper developing your good morning routine that's fun february birthdays ashley i need to do that one too um winter sow seeds is that like a gardening thing i'm gardening is definitely not my forte read celebrate your mom oh that's so fun taxes yeah taxes yes oh my gosh i love that specifically scheduling your goals in your google cal that's such a big one tax stuff getting that ready clean your tiny house and move back in oh that's
