[Music] [Music] hey guys welcome to fat quarter shot flosstube i'm kimberly jolly it's july 14 2021 and i have so much stuff to show you guys um i'm gonna show you lots of jolly july i've had so much fun seeing what all of you guys are doing for jolly july i'm going to announce two brand new sew alongs that we came up with and you're also going to get a sneak peek of stitch quarterly for the fall so lots of stuff to show you today so i'm just going to kind of jump right in i am going to be referring to my cross stitch journal a lot just because um with doing so much with jolly july sometimes i forget what i did this week versus last week so i'm gonna jump into jolly july and just show you what i stitched this week and what i plan to stitch next week i will say that i'm super excited that i have been able to stay caught up i was thinking i was gonna be totally behind by now but i'm not so hopefully i can keep it going so the very first one is snowballs for sale and this one i'm keeping in this little bag it is a dot dot goose bag and in here i traveled with this so i have everything on floss flowers and with this i just have my skeins that i haven't used in here so they won't get messed up and as i'm using the floss flowers i keep everything on here and then when i'm done and store it i'll wrap it around and i got really far on this one i actually spent six hours on it actually i spent nine hours on it so here's the front of the pattern the pattern is by lori holt and you can see that i kind of beat it up a little bit but what i did here was one of the days i did all the snowflakes and the text and then here was at part four and then i'm gonna do the rest i'm just gonna go from the bottom to the top and what i did was i kind of outlined just a little bit i added once i did the white outline on this on the sides i added the aqua little um flowers or little accents whatever you call it and then i just filled in and then i did this one so that was nine hours but what i'm going to do is divide the remaining part right here into five sections and so that'll be you know snowflakes the snowman but i'm probably going to just do it by row so i'll be working on that this week and then the next one i have is let's see one of the jolly july ornaments tear tray tidbits so priscilla and chelsea announced that all of the tear tray tidbits will be jars so this was the first one and i want to show you something that i did that was slightly different so i am using jolly holly as holly jolly yeah i'm using holly jolly as the green instead of steamed broccoli so my green is a little bit lighter and here i try to do the two strands across the jar and it just looked mine looked ugly so i did one strand across and then in the middle i did a little stitch to hold it down so it wouldn't go so it's kind of tacked down if that makes sense so you could um do it either way i mean i think theirs looks better i think i just got a little ocd about it and wasn't really sure what to do it took me five and a half hours and this morning they released the second tear tray tidbit and it is called berry mary so i will do this one tomorrow and i will probably do the little strings as one strand the other difference that i'm doing is i'm using bamboo instead of 12 grain and the only reason why is i already have bamboo left over so instead of you know buying something i'm just using what i have so that was my second the next one i worked on is peppermint lane and this one took me almost five hours so this one took quite a bit of time so i'm going to show you the pop-up real quick of the dates and this is just a guide you don't have to follow it but you can see week two is kind of that center part this week is going to be the trees so that's going to be pretty intense those trees are going to take quite a bit of time but right here this took um 4.75 hours and i did decide what i would do as i'm going to save a little bit of time if you go back to the pop-up and look you'll see that this outer border is week eight that's pretty intense so i decided to go ahead and put the lightest color not the white but go ahead and put this pink here and then i'll fill in the white and then i'll do the red last but that way at least i've got it kind of started so today or not today this week what i'll do is i'll do the three trees here and then i'll continue that pink down and on this one i did change the color to 14 count opalescent ada by zweigart and um this sample is done on 16 count white antique white and then the next one is a dapper doodad which come out on fridays and the first one for jolly july this year is gingerbread bakery and so the same thing i use the lighter green holly jolly or jolly holly one of the two whatever it's called and i use bamboo so whatever comes out this friday i will stitch for saturday and then farmhouse christmas is looking so good i'm so proud of it so this one is part seven and i had divided it up into two different segments and to make the whole part seven took seven and a half hours so this took seven and a half hours and this week what i did was i did the top here and what i did is i did all of this pebble beach which is this brown i did the brown first then the white then the black and then i went back and added the red so that the red wouldn't kind of get into my white and then you know the little chicken and the snowflakes and i'm doing the border as i go and then next month which is august i will put this one in now i'm saving all of the back stitches and french knots and any of that for the end and some of them have it but i don't even think this one has it so each of these takes me somewhere between you know six and eight hours kind of depends this one took quite a bit of time because this one was so intense and the next one i have loved so much that i got ahead of myself so this one is called and to all a good night it's by stitching with the housewives it just released it's available as paper it will be available as pdf soon and i divided it into five sections but i went ahead and got ahead of myself so what i'm gonna do this week i had a little bit more time this week i'm gonna do all the reindeer across the tree that goes here and the a and then that way all i will have to do is the house and some text and this one's beautiful i love it i haven't i didn't change any of the colors on this one i kept it this week so this week what i plan to work on is i'm going to work on snowballs for sale that i've already shown i'm going to just move up somewhat then i'm going to work on this one tomorrow so hopefully i'll get all of this done tomorrow and then the one that comes out friday i will also do peppermint laying i'm going to do the green trees i did want to show you i keep these clipped so that when i'm stitching what i will do i can go ahead and do it since i'm going to be doing it soon i'll move my needle over here to this side and what i do is i'm going to roll it up as tight as i can it's getting kind of crooked and then i'll put a clip here and that way when i'm stitching i'll just hold it here and then i'm also going to work on this one so nothing new you know just kind of spreading all my projects out super excited and then i'm happy to answer any questions that you guys have on any of this i kept notes in my book um princess p holly martin said is kimberly using dmc for and to all a good night so for that i'm using classic color works and i am using i don't think i changed any colors yeah i didn't change any of the colors and i'm stitching on 14 count chalkboard black and i'm just using classic color works and then leyland socal says good morning when you stitch a large object like the snowman do you do rose yes i end up with a ladder effect what am i doing wrong okay i can show you so i'm gonna look at my piece real quick and give you um some tips i'm no pro on this but what i did here is i outlined and today before i start i'll probably outline all the way up here then i did the blues and then i just do one row at a time now if you started everywhere and stopped in the same spot you're gonna see that line so that's why i do the outline first and go all the way across and all the way back and when i did that light blue i did all the light blue first and when i will zoom in a little bit so you can tell but when i stitched my white i tried to stitch underneath the blue i was stitching this on the plane though so some of it kind of got caught in there i got a middle seat yesterday somehow um so i didn't i didn't have as much room but yeah i tried to stitch underneath that so as long as you when you're doing you don't start and stop in the middle somewhere on gingerbread bakery did you stitch the eyes white i stitched them blue i forgot to say that there's there's a couple things that i'm doing i am adding blue eyes to all the santas and all the gingerbread women or men i think these two are girls because they have bows so i am adding that let me look there's one other thing that i wrote down let me just look to see if there's something else oh i added blue eyes and then i changed his gloves and shoes to black priscilla has them as green and i'm sure she has it that way because um it's on black but i think on my chalkboard black because it's lighter than the black she uses you can actually see it and then roberta says why do you not use a hooper frame do you ever use a frame so if i'm going to use a frame i will use a q snap i think that is what works best for me but when i started working on so many projects what i do is i take this big huge um clothes hamper to bring stuff to and from work and it just became too much with all my quilting and everything so i just decided that i needed to learn to stitch in hand so i would have one less thing to carry um does it take a full piece of cloth to make it as one unit for okay for farmhouse christmas what cloth am i using for farmhouse christmas so for farmhouse christmas i can tell you i am using one piece i bought the 16 count ada beautiful beige 355 and then i cut it down to 13x13 and actually no i cut it down to 18 19 by 19 and you should have enough to do that because it finishes at 13 by 13. good morning kimberly i was wondering if you can recommend a soft black 14 count cloth um soft let me think on that if picture this plus or let me see picture this plus has one that would be good but i'm not sure they do so i'm gonna get back to you next week on that so i can research that you all have so much patience to do these designs they're beautiful yeah you know but in real life i have zero patience zero um howdy from strasbourg colorado how hi how was my vacation it was great i'll show you pictures at the end so now i'm going to show you um we have two new stitch alongs that we're coming up with and to be honest we come up with these because i want to stitch them so the very first one i'll show you the pop-up it's stationary attic and the designer is little dove designs and i divided this up into six parts this one's going to be a little bit different just because i am not a fan of backstitch this does have a lot of back stitches so we'll see how this goes but what i did is i picked gentle arts and we did a thread pack so you can buy the thread pack and i put this little cheat sheet in here and this shows the stationery addict um what's called for and then my conversions which is on your color card that or sorry if you buy the thread pack this is in there this is just i did that before i came up with that so in my little bag i have the pattern all my thread i do keep one of these bitty boards in every bag and this is what i'm going to stitch it on i'm going to go back to that tried and true pale gray gingham that i love so much and this is kind of going to be my go-to i'm thinking this is what i'm going to do glitter house on so i'm going to take this p i'm going to get a big piece of this and then all my thread choices and we're i'm going to take it to lori's house when i go in a week and a half and we're going to try to find a really bright white so all the snow shows up but that's what i decided after like 12 months of trying to figure out what i was going to do so we hope you join us for the stitch along so if you um are going to do the stitch along just grab the pattern and the thread pack of course you can use any thread you want any fabric you want and then the dates that i'm going to show you one more time we put the dates where i have a goal of finishing it but of course if that's too much or too little you can do it at a different pace than me and is the stationary pattern a color pattern let me look i know it's four pages so it's easy to see it is in color and then our next item that we came up with i came up with in the in the airport i was thinking oh my gosh i love all of the sunflower patterns that priscilla and chelsea came out with and i was thinking oh my gosh i love them and how am i going to fit those into my life because i need those all stitched and i was thinking i could do it in 2022 and i thought well gosh i really want those to decorate my house with so i decided we would do fqs sunflower september because i love these patterns so much so i'm going to show you what i'm going to do for fqs sunflower september this stationary addict is going to be august september and then i'll move into sunflower september and i've selected i'm going to show you the ones that i've selected to put into into to this so this i already purchased because this is the august calendar crates so i'm going to divide up this one into several sections i'll do this one as one day and then this will be a couple of days and then this is the kit that i got as part of the club if we have any kits left over they will be available oh actually they're available now i think we have about 10 left so um and once we sell out we won't make any more so i'm gonna do this as my first project and then my second project is they came out with these different pdfs so they came out with sunflower seeds sunflower farm sunflower street honey jar alright go this way and then honeybee lane and in this one there's a second chart called pick your own sunflowers so i'm gonna do all six of these as part of sunflower september now all of them use the same threads so what i've done is i've pulled from my stash baking tin bamboo and i have a bunch of bamboo at home black coffee jolly holly okay so it is jolly first queen bee rain shower steamed broccoli and trail dust so what i pulled these from my stash and i pulled this from my stash now i came up with this idea on the airplane last let's see friday so um i'm gonna this is all for my house i'm not buying anything these are all leftovers from trucking along that i did last year and from you know just leftovers from ornaments so i'm to take this today cut it down for all of these and i'm going to start with one skein now it's pretty obvious that i'm going to need several skeins of the bamboo and the queen bee but i'm just going to start with one skein and if i run out i'll buy another one i guess i might need two for the blue too but we'll see so i'm just gonna start with one skein and my little scraps and then all i have to buy is the five patterns and i'll probably put all of this in one big project bag and um so that will be six days of it i'll just put this on here and i'll put it in a prettier bag this is just um and you can see i've cut off so i've got some big pieces some small pieces and in this little bag i guess i should put it in a prettier bag but this is all 14 count i don't put 16 count in this bag so i know what's here is all the same and then the last item i'm gonna add is this one it's from the punch needle it's the buffalo plaid summer so i'm going to turn to the page and show it to you this is the punch needle and primitive stitcher magazine and page 25. i can't show you any of the patterns so i'm trying to be careful so i'm going to stitch this one and then that is eight items nine items because the we've got six pdfs we have this and then the calendar crates is two so i will have a big section that i can decorate my house with now i'm gonna ask priscilla and chelsea if i've missed any of your sunflowers so if i have please text me or email me so that i can add that um to uh my lineup and then i'm gonna answer some questions let's see any news on when the liberty box will ship the very end of july and we apologize for the patriotic box being late this year but you know the world we live in will you and laurie be doing a video together when we are there yes um i will give more information on that the week of so if i can look at the calendar real quick the video we will release will be july 23rd no yes july 23rd on the lori holt channel um it will probably be mostly quilting stuff but um we'll see when i get there what we do we kind of change our mind a little bit and then will there be a thread pack for the sunflower no just buy those um individually because we're getting low on some of those and i don't want to confuse anybody because the threads that are used in the ornaments or not ornaments the tear tray little the small ones are different than the punch needle and the august calendar crates what other 14 count canvas color could to all a good night be stitched on um the hat one of the houses is white so let me show you real quick but one of the houses is white so because this house is white i would definitely not do a white fabric let me can i see the that one right there so this is chalkboard black and i just love chalkboard black now this is beautiful beige so the white would show up it might get a little lost so it's it's kind of up to you what you think and the white used in it is bamboo so um that would be my suggestion is if you did a brown to make sure that at least your white would show up i wouldn't do gray i think ray would fight there'd be too many colors going on oh you are missing one row on the jolly santa along the side of the tree let me see i i love that you it's like my favorite thing about flosstube but you all i don't have to check my work because you guys do it okay you are missing one row of jolly santa along the side of the jar by the tree but let's see what i'm missing oh i'm missing this little you're right i'm missing this little white stitch that's over here okay i'll add it thanks for telling me any idea when the snowballs for sale floss keeper will be in stock any day any day it's be it that those are made in america so as um the issue with those is not getting them made it's getting the supplies in to be able to get them made didn't they also have a sunflower mainer when they were collaborating with hands-on design yes they did they did so i can consider that one in your journal will you put each project individually or all five for sunflower september so i'll show you how i'll do that so what i do is for each of the dapper doodads or tear tray tidbits i do one page each so like the ornaments i do one page each but what i do with something that's one piece like farmhouse christmas is i do one page and then since it's one piece and then i just put my time for each piece and the reason i do that is i really want to be able to see okay when i go to my part eight next month how much time do i need to allocate because i'm gonna sit down knowing that it takes six to seven hours i'll probably sit down and force myself to do four or five hours up front so that at the end i can just kind of cruise on through what is my nail color did you switch back to cajun shrimp yes i did so i was able to get my meals done in florida no i was down in florida i was in south carolina i keep getting confused i was in south carolina don't ask me why i keep saying florida because i have no idea why is licorice red variegated in classic color works for farmhouse christmas okay let me look at my um farmhouse christmas bag it is variegated but it's not um let's see um right here you can okay we'll zoom in a little bit but here you can actually see more of the variegation somehow there but then when i got over here there's not much variegation so probably just depends on what spool or what strand i pulled out and i do stitch in rows not one x at a time just because i go whatever's quickest and i stitch the farmhouse ex or the barn whatever that is a barn and the star exactly the same method i didn't change the method so it must have been just what i pulled and to me i really that's one thing that's probably bad about what i do but that doesn't it doesn't bother me that like this is variegated and this isn't so i just don't really think about that what i'm doing how did piggy do when i was on vacation he did really good i sent him to a different daycare because the last time he came home he had a big thing on his head and what i did is i made a deal with the lady is that he could sleep i told her he had to sleep inside the house and then i just told her um to put his diaper on so that um he wouldn't pee but i told her he couldn't stay there unless um he stayed in the house venetian stone question mark um venetian stone is the color of which'll maybe it is out of stock let me look that up real quick and we will um oh venetian stone for all good night you could i think that that might be adding too many colors um will i please show how to do back stitches in my beginner series yes i love your farmhouse christmas thank you will i be carrying a changed world from a scarlet house we'll order it today have no idea what it is but we will order it for you amber is out amber 14 count is out of stock do you have an eta we will email which'll today and find out what their update is on that and give you an eta next week um and so my even though i did a lot of jolly july i did do a whip that is almost finished so i'm so excited to show you so i worked on this actually yesterday on the plane and when i got home so this is june sampler of the month and so i'm obviously behind since i would have hoped to have this done in june and we are now in the middle of july but that's okay so all i have left to do is this which is the two watermelons and basket and then add all the back stitches i do leave the window back stitches off just because i can't get mine to look very good and um i'm excited about this one this one will probably be done by next week and it will be when i add the color i'm going to do colonial knots inside the strawberries so that um and hopefully they'll look good and there is some back stitching in the lemon so um i'm hoping to get this done today or tomorrow and then in july and august hopefully i will have july and august done so as soon as i finish the june i'll go on to july and august i'll do july next then august we still don't have an eta on the frame we're going to email her again today and um the one thing i did want to say is she did show country cottage anita works on her instagram showed september so if you want to see september's you can click on her instagram to see that and then i am going to show some frame finishes now so for framed finishes priscilla got this one done super fast for me so this was my serendipity so again for make-a-wish we have raised 81 000. eighty one thousand five hundred so this right here is my finish and this is cheryl's finish so i'm gonna show you some differences so obviously you know when we started this you know we did this like a year ago because we do stuff so much in advance this frame is no longer available so we went ahead and did a different frame it looks the same it looks great so we did use the same fabrics these are both fabrics from the spring brook blossoms collection that the cross stitch was based on this one was stitched with dmc by cheryl this one was stitched by me with weeks die works and then this new skew is um hobby lobby 164 5258 priscilla is also going to release a blog on july 15 and talk about how she finished this piece both of them do have covered buttons using that same fabric collection so this is a great way to show you that even though you know we may have done these in two parts of the year hobby lobby's always gonna have something or michael's or walmart or you know wherever you get your stuff and then i'm gonna give my shout outs for my super chats so i want to thank starlight stitching company she gave us a super chat piggy says thank you and she says thank you for everything you do and all the inspiration you provide thank you and then dot goose in a super chat she said happy wednesday for me and miss gracie thank you and she um does a lot of the bags that i show on um the screen and then princess p ma holly martin you're such an inspiration a huge thank you for your tips and all the time you give to us thank you yes i did come home early just so i could make sure that i was here um i will say it was super awesome none of the pla there was no delays or anything so that was so awesome can i show all of the cottages of the month that i have finished so far so i have shown those in a lot of videos i guess next week i could show all 12 together um i'll just have to find them all at my house but i have done all of the cottages of the month and if you want i guess next week i could also show all of the samplers of the month too just to show you in case that's what you meant when are you starting my beginner series so we have filmed some of it it will start in august and then now i'm going to do a sneak peek so if you are somebody who doesn't want to see a sneak peek of the stitch quarterly just close your eyes and um priscilla finished it for us so she found this truck at hobby lobby so if you are somebody who's in stitch quarterly and like to finish exactly like priscilla the item number is 205-137-484 our theme is autumn now we have opens this is the first time we've opened some spots so we actually opened quite a bit of spots so if you want to be in stitch quarterly now's the time to get in since it was closed for quite a bit and this fabric right here is from cozy up and this right here lori's cloud vintage trim i think this is cozy up i might be wrong and i'm going to show a little sneak peek so there's your sneak peek and i am definitely going to be stitching this one and then our previous finish feature is from last summer and so last summer i always go visit lori and last summer i stitched this at laurie's house so i thought well since i'm going to laurie's house soon i'll show this so this is where i took all of her set g stitch cards i stitched this on called for dmc on the modeled side of malted milk 14 count vintage cloth by lori holt we did release a video our blog tutorial on how we finished it the wood plaque is just from the really inexpensive section of hobby lobby and we put um our stitch card on the back that has all the information so we were able to remember what paint we used so we used morning sky chalky chicks paint and then this of course is the large red vintage trim by lori holt and then our club feature for today is september calendar crates and this shipped out and i wanted to show you that i'm going to be doing this as part of stitch tober and i'm going to show you another stitch over so this is how it comes packaged so i'm going to be doing stitch tober so after so we did jolly july we're going to do sunflower september then we're going to do stitch tober this will be part of it and then this which just came out this week and if you pre-ordered we've already shipped it this will also this will also stitch and if you look at right there this it's gonna you're gonna see that all of this will kind of go together even our stuff will kind of go so i'm gonna show this and then i'm gonna show this again and this is the back of a truck this is the back of a truck your fabric is going to be different it's not going to be black but it will match so that will be part of stitched over so i'll actually add the stitch quarterly to my stitched over and if there are any kits left over they'll go on sale on july 19th and then like i said as same with august calendar crates and september calendar crates once they're gone um they're gone we do have some flash sale items for today one of them is country cottage needleworks and it would be great to make for valentine's day it says love lives here and then these are the little clip-on lights that you add to your glasses and i'll show you how you do it you just clip them on i'm blind as a bat so if i do this bad it's because i don't have my glasses on i um went jet skiing and thought that my glasses were going to fall off and i was like well that's going to be really bad because i won't be able to see i put this one on backwards and then you turn your little lights on so these are on flash sale today these are actually the older versions so once these are gone they will be gone and then this is how it looks and um don't think i haven't said in my dance studio and one of the moms texted me like what are you doing in there with your lights what are those lights anyway these are they're really awesome um okay and then chelsea is asking if i have found a fabric to stitch glitter house on so i think i'm going to stitch it on the pale gray gingham um we're going to see i'm going to show look at it with lori and we're going to decide together because she helps me with all my colors and now i'm going to show you new stuff and then my vacation photos and of course if you have any questions let me know so two new patterns that arrived just now by stitching with housewives are scarecrow bakery up on a pedestal and then they're going to have a back up the truck series the back of the truck is not going to be monthly it's going to be seasonally so i'll probably stitch all of them so these two are new so if you ordered those um pre-ordered from us we have stitched we have shipped those out i was going to say we have stitched those out that would be funny this is the new week's die works color called santorini this is the july typography and this is pine mountain designs and she's done a really cute job of stitching these on the little buttermilk basin clipboards this is sweet summertime it's number seven in the series by cottage garden and then i'm going to show you new picture this plus and new fiber on the whim so this is picture this plus and so these i'm going to just show you these are this is fawn lugana 28 and this is fawn eta 14. so i want to i'm going to open them up and just show you that even though you buy the same color they will look different this is lugana and this is ada and the color is fawn and picture this plus what we do is they limit you to the quantity that you can buy so when we buy there's a quantity that we can buy of each so when it's gone it's because it's not because i under ordered it's because they'll only supply me with a certain amount each store gets a limit this is feldspar 8 of 14. this is murky 8 of 14. i'm gonna open this now see this i don't even know what you would stitch on it's crazy but i bet it would look really good when it's done i'd be too scared to do it and then cheryl um has actually done a halloween piece on this that we've shown before but i don't remember what it was and i just remember it looked really good this is dubloon lugana and ada so this is a little bit it's a little bit yellow it's tan but it does have a tint of yellow i like to show you these just so you can like see them they do sell out fast but it's kind of out of our control on that this one i really like this is vellum and so lugana and then ada you can see where it's circled and so this is kind of like a platinum-ish color and it's really nice because it comes surged you don't have to search it unless of course you cut it down this is bramble and 28 and 14 count so those are the new picture this plus now i'm going to show you new fiber on a whim and these are all new colors and each of the colors comes in 14 28 32 and 36 so that's how we have them laid out on each this color is amber and it's showing a little bit lighter on the screen than it is in person it's a little bit more orange and a little bit less peach so that's amber this is sedona and this one's really interesting to show you just because it really really shows the difference that the dye takes to the different type of material so this is ada cashel linen belfast linen and edinburgh linen all get a totally different effect of color and then pistachio so i would consider this to be like a really kind of a blue green more green than blue so that's pistachio and then this is ivy and then this one also i mean look at the difference of that and so someone um did ask what cash what lugana is so lugana we don't have any lugana here we'll find some real quick lugana is in the picture this plus and it is an even weave so this is a linen so on linen your threads may not be even both ways but with lugana you have an even thread this way and this way when they weave the thread so you will get more of a look more of an even look like aydah and um what is my favorite cloth i'll show you right now i have two um i have two favorite cloths so the first one is uh blackboard chalkboard black i'm making up words chalkboard black and my second one is beautiful beige so this is chalkboard black and my favorite brand by far is whichell my second favorite band brand is picture this plus the gray pale gray and i'll show you that too but if i was going to stitch on an ada that was just a plain color i would do chalkboard black or beautiful beige and fabric flare oh i said the wrong thing i'm sorry this is fabric flare i'm sorry this is my favorite also pale gray gingham i prefer to use very inexpensive cloth because like i said i don't care about hand dyed and all that stuff it it's like irrelevant in my mind because each person has a different also i'm stitching a million kajillion things i can't afford i could not afford to do all that stuff i'd have to do less projects i'd rather do more projects on cheap fabric because i can tell you not very many people come to my house and if they do they surely don't know um what any of this background stuff is they just care about the design that's on it um would love to have hand-dyed ada in 16 and 18 counts we can add some and just so you know we can put that on our list to order stuff with hand dyed it's like you get it when they dye that color so the way those companies work is it's kind of interesting what you do is when you order it whenever they die that color they die all the orders for all the stores at once so you'll get one color and then another month you might get another color because they die all the sizes and everything all at once but we can add some 16 and 18 count is picture this plus lugana a lighter fabric i wouldn't say it's lighter it's definitely softer so picture this plus and fiber on a whim are both very soft because they hand dye them so they're softer and i have used color and cotton hand dyed once and i it was um not as soft but it wasn't as difficult for me to use but i did use a small piece or actually i didn't use a small piece it was actually easier to use than i think than i thought it was going to be do i thread more than one needle at a time no i just do one at a time and it's because i'm doing so many projects i would forget which which one it was would love an answer to my stitching with white question do you do your white stitches first or last first and i do railroad them and so now i'm going to show you um just some fun photos from my vacation just so um you know all the people who are curious i'll show the first picture is the first night we got there we were tired you can tell we're all tired so the the kid with the big eyes that's christopher he's never tired and then will's behind him falling asleep and then peyton's at the end the pink shirt is my nephew hunter my daughter is on the left and my niece hannah is on the right so that was the first night and so we're all very tired except one of us is not and then the next photo that was the next day that he was like i'm not getting in the beach and then he was like the first one to get covered in sand the sand was not very um it was very soft so it wasn't like because usually my kids will do like sand castles but it was a little soft so they kind of didn't go that route they kind of decided they would just cover themselves in it instead and then we took a little ride my brother booked all the excursions and he booked like a america's cup whatever that is um a ride on a sailboat and so that's all of us except my mom because my mom was already sitting down on the boat so we sat in the front of the boat and then my mom was at the back so that's my brother in the blue his wife is in the white and then kevin my husband is in the red and i think i'm in there somewhere hiding yeah and then yeah those are all my kids and my niece and nephew are on the left and that's me and kevin and i actually had makeup on that day so i don't know why it didn't look like i did but you can see that i am totally not dressed appropriately because i'm on long sleeve shirts i would rather wear a long sleeve shirt than put on sunscreen so that's what i did and then they asked for volunteers two volunteers to like raise the sales and so kevin and christopher got picked and we were like good it'll make him tired it didn't make him tired um and then i i don't know what i was thinking i took cross stitch on the boat and so i took it for a photo but then i was like i hope this doesn't fall off the boat um so anyway there's that's my little picture and then that's will he's so cute but you can see look how i'm dressed i got a sun shirt on i got my long sleeve i got pants on i'm covered because i do not want to get a sunscreen and my my husband was so embarrassed the whole time he was like kimberly you're not dressed for this i'm like it's fine it's my style and then that's will on the jet ski and um so we went on a jet ski and we're like in the ocean and it was really cool because at the end there was a bunch of dolphins and so we kind of just were sitting still and kevin was like what are you doing we paid to go on a jet ski i'm like i'm looking at the dolphins so it was fun um we tried to i wanted to switch like with my kids throughout but none of my kids would switch so i um so will um and i had fun but i did try to switch they were just like no i think they were too scared to like do it to switch and you can see look i have on pants a long sleeve shirt i'm such a mess okay let me see what the next picture okay that's my mom and emma and that was one night we went out to eat then there's an ice cream store and we went twice all they cared about was the ice cream score and that was like a single scoop they gave us so much ice cream and then my son on the right love stuffy so that's one of his stuffies and he'll buy two stuffies he'll say ones for the twin on the the twin on the left is will will doesn't care about stuffies so he'll just get one that peyton wants so that we buy it it's so bad and then that is the last night so that was the last night it was like a we went to eat at a place called frasier's and it's on a golf course and everyone thought that was really cool i think that's all my photos oh that was um kevin was like let's go figure out where the 18th hole is so we went and figured it out but to get to the 18th hole we had to walk through a cemetery and i was like i'm not sure where we're going and it was pretty cool it was pretty um it ends up the driver on the last day told us that that cemetery is where i guess the founder of hilton head is buried and his family um so yeah so we walked around the golf course for a little bit and then i took a nap oh and this is so funny okay so we were on the airplane and we got off the airplane and my son was smiling that's christopher and he's acting and he's like so excited i'm like what is it and he said is um there's some wrestlers on the plane there's like a lot can i talk to them and i was like well if you're professional and not obnoxious just be like hey i'm a fan nice to meet you don't like go on and on so i'm thinking he's gonna walk up to these really big guys and he walks up to like this guy who's older i didn't get a picture of him because i didn't ask um he didn't offer to take a picture and he talked to him for like five minutes and then we are in the baggage claim and i'm thinking oh christopher's helping he's getting the bags he's walking up to two random guys like hey i'm a fan and they're like oh you want a picture are you gonna go to the show tomorrow and i'm like oh no we're not going to the show so i did look at tickets but it's in cedar park which is super far from the house and we have too much work to do so i was like you can go another time and i have no i'm gonna be honest i don't know who those wrestlers are i don't know who they are but i just know that they were super nice to him so i thought i'd throw that in oh and then there's piggy he was so happy to come home oh my gosh we all just wanted to to get a piggy and then where we were is we went to hilton head so um so guys uh thanks for watching i will be back next week with jolly july and um i have lots of stuff also planned for august september october so we're just gonna keep on stitching and i hope you guys um have fun stitching with me and i'll see you next time you
