prayerlessness there are so many people who do not know how to pray there were so many people who used to praise a prayer lord but now stopped there is no personal prayer there is no desire for prayer there is no attachment and thirst for prayer so it's an area where we need to get deliverance because our prayer life is affected a prayer like if he is blocked by the evil one because the devil knows if you are prayerful you will be powerful and therefore the devil doesn't want you to be encouraged to pray so we are going to do we are going to pray in a special way for getting deliverance in this area so in order to get deliverance we need to listen to certain word of god and need to listen the meaning of lack of prayer why there is lack of prayer and the different reasons and different inspirations from the word of god and only then we will be able to deal with this so many a time many people do not know how to pray the personal prayer so today during this adoration in between i will be speaking to you about how to pray and how to increase your personal prayer how to get connected to god even when you are busy with your life so sometimes we people people uh think only if you get some free time you will be able to pray otherwise you cannot pray that is a wrong understanding you can pray even when you have free time even when you do not have free time even when you are very busy with many things you can pray so we will be dealing with all these areas today during this holy adoration praise the lord bless all can you lift up your right hand and say hallelujah thank you you're having stomach problems the lord is healing your problem right now thank you jesus praise jesus one of the reasons why many people do not are not able to pray because of the sin the sin the moment you commit sin for example i know that one person was very prayerful very prayerful he was a young man and he was very prayerful always into prayer spent a lot of time in prayer but suddenly he stopped prayer so i asked him what happened to your prayer and then he said father now i have gone away from god i think i have to start again let me see i will come for a retreat and i will make a very good confession and then i will start again what does it mean that means he knows he thinks that he has committed sin and therefore god is away from him or he is away from god therefore his prayers will never be heard so it's better just give up the prayer and come for retreat after some time and then go for confession and start again because he has a wrong understanding about prayer muddy brothers and sisters prayer helps you to get connected even if you have committed sin by mistake if you have prayer life your connection will not be lost unless you commit a mortal sin unless you commit a mortal sin your prayer connection with god will not be lost therefore do not wait for another retreat or do not wait for confession continue your prayers even if you happen to commit sin and beg for forgiveness and make a thorough act of repentance just say i'm sorry i will never repeat it and i and promise to jesus that you will never commit this sin and continue your prayer life god is still connected to you and you are still connected to god do not have this misunderstanding that god has gone away just because of one small mistake at small anger small irritation small fight with husband or wife and small bad small something that you have spoken just because of that god will never leave you and you will not so you will also not leave god therefore don't get discouraged continue your prayer life even when you are in a small small sinful ways because god will help you to come out of these sinful ways sometimes the devil tell you the moment you get angry with your husband or wife the moment you get angry with somebody with the moment you say some bad words or maybe some lies or something the devil will come and say see you committed sin now god has gone away from you you have lost the anointing now even if you pray it is waste your prayer will not be heard these are the lies from the devil do not listen to those lies therefore make sure that you come back to the lord make sure that you continue the connection with god you know normally suppose if you have if you come to know that you have hurt your brother maybe your boyfriend or girlfriend when you hurt them by mistake not knowingly if you hurt them knowingly it is very difficult to get reconciled but if you hurt your husba husband or wife maybe your girlfriend or boyfriend unknowingly then when you realize that you have hurt her you have hurt him then suddenly you will never keep a distance from her or from him you will never go away from that person that day when you come to know that you have hurt the other person you will spend extra time you will show extra love and you will have extra emotions and you will try to make sure that the other person is more happy so that is how in every love relationship if you happen to hurt other person unknowingly you will spend more time to make sure that that hurt is reconciled the hurt is removed the same way if you love god if you think god has got an intimacy with you and you have an intimacy with god even if you happen to commit small sins don't ever think that god has left you and you have left god that is the day you have to spend more time you have to spend more time in the presence of god and beg for his forgiveness and say you still love him and know that he still loves you that will help you in your spiritual life praise my brothers and sisters we need to understand something we should not have a business relationship with god but only intimacy with god many a time we have business relationship with god i give money i give some good works and you are not giving me but back anything this is called business barter system you give and take you give one something and you get back something else this is called butter system or a business business relationship but with god we need intimacy whether god gives us anything or not whether we give him anything or not we should have the relationship let me tell you one thing even if you don't give anything to him he still loves you that means the relationship he has for you and for me is not business relationship it is a close intimate relationship he doesn't want anything from me he just want me that's all he doesn't want anything from me even if i don't pray he wants me he has a desire for me he loves me he wants to possess me that is his relationship therefore we also should have the same attitude in front of god when we pray lord even if you don't give me anything i just want you lord even if you don't bless me for healing or deliverance or whatever but i want you lord i want to have this connection i want to have this intimacy with you lord nothing else that is very important for my brothers and sisters many people they get discouraged in prayer because your prayer life is a business connection business establishment not an intimacy it is not a relationship with god my brothers and sisters if you love somebody whether they give you back any chocolate or sweets or monthly money or salary or maybe take for uh maybe for outing or supper out whether they give anything or not still you love that person because you need that person not any adjectives or the gifts of that person you you you are in love with that person not in love with the gifts of the person many times we are not in love with god but we are only interested in the gifts of god healing miracles wonders something else so these are the things we are interested in not in god and that is why our prayers are not heard that is why god says we read like these james chapter 4 verse 3 james chapter 4 verse 3 we read like this the word of god says you ask and do not receive because you ask wrongly in order to spend what you get on your pleasures you are not interested in the love of god but you are interested in the love of material blessings some people who are too too attached to this world therefore you are thirsting for healing you are praying for healing not you are praying for jesus you're not praying i need jesus that is we don't need jesus we only need healing such kinds of prayers will not be answered because there is no prayer that is not prayer that is business many people call them they're called their business prayer life they're having a business relationship with god [Music] that won't help you that is why god says you ask and do not receive because you ask wrongly in order to spend what you get on your pleasures you are not interested in god but you are interested in the pressures and happiness of our family happiness of our worldly life happiness of our job happiness of our body happiness of our relationship but we are not thinking of happiness with god connection with god intimacy with god therefore our personal prayers are we are disappointed in our personal prayers and our prayers are not acceptable and we are not in fact praying those kinds of prayers are not prayer as i said it's a business let's examine our conscience and see do we have these tendencies do we have this business relationship with god or do we have intimacy with god let us all repeat after me repeat this prayer lord jesus lord jesus i time they are so busy so no time because they have many other priorities that is the problem if you think if anyone would justify their prayerlessness saying no time that means prayer is not your priority spiritual things are not your priority personal prayer is not your priority but many things i remember sometime back one person came and told us he is ready to help us some some very important work he is ready to help us it is a regular work which has to be carried out regularly then we said it's a great help we thank you but that person is not doing his duty though he agreed he was just delaying the things and it was affecting our day-to-day runnings then i said my dear friend since you're working hard we will pay for you and we will give you a salary for what you are doing because you are working hard and therefore you have to do this i mean you need money you need salary for that then he said father no i'm doing a service i'm doing a service and it is my work this is my cup of tea i can do it but it's a service don't pay for anything i will do it and even after this it was getting delayed and then i was so worried because nothing was taking place and it is affecting our day-to-day runnings then i called this man and said brother please do help us please make sure make sure that you finish the work then he said father i'm busy with so many things so many resp so many work i have so many not only here i'm doing this work in many places then i realized one thing for his busy means he considers all the other works priority than this work and that is why to go home go to another country and he was packing his bag and many things and then at the end his bible a big bible was left behind he did not get placed to keep this bible inside the bag then his friend told him do one thing when remove everything from your bag keep the bible first and then start packing and then he kept the bible first then he could complete everything there was enough and more space sometimes we are filling our heart filling our body filling our family with many things except god except jesus therefore there is lots of disorder there is lots of confusion maybe you are very busy with your work busy with your family busy with many things that is why you don't have time for prayer let me tell you are you happy with your family are you happy with your job are you happy with what you do are you really comforted and consoled in whatever that you do i don't think so if you keep give priority for prayer start giving priority for prayer and do the same work that you do your family your business everything you will see all your works will be done very fast all your work and all your families will be united and all the disturbance of your mind will be taken away time because of the sickness or financial problem but when we come together when asked them to pray together when we pray for just 15 minutes for 20 minutes they start forgetting all the misery and they get relieved they say now we feel some strength inside we feel that fear is gone away we feel that god is going to take and take up our case so we they feel powerful the lord says you will forget your misery if you have a right prayer life you will forget your misery you will remember it as waters that have passed away verse 17 we read like this verse 17 and your life will be brighter than the up in time i was hurt in every situation there were so many people who came to my life who helped me many ways there was someone who was there to give food and there was somebody to console me when i be raised many brothers and sisters the disciples expected jesus to be the messiah the messiah who comes to save israel you unify all the 12 tribes of israel that is the expectation of jewish people about the messiah even the disciples expected jesus to unify all of them the lost 10 tribes and the rest of the two tribes and all together make them all united once again as whole israel so that is what the prediction about the messiah who is to come so they expected jesus to be a messiah who unifies them unites them and then he will rule over them you will rule israel forever so this is what they expected but then suddenly jesus says suddenly jesus says like this the son of man must undergo great suffering suddenly jesus says the son of man that is jesus christ the messiah should go through suffering and will be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes and will be killed it was a shocking news for jewish i mean the disciples that they expected a high expectation about the master and now the master says i will be rejected i will be lonely i will be left behind i will be crucified i'll be killed he didn't say crucified but i will he will be killed so um the disciples it was shocking for them though jesus said on the third day he will be raised they didn't take it so seriously about this resurrection because you know the resurrection of the death the jewish people also believed but they never thought that jesus will be raised and come back and speak to them so that is why they didn't bother to concentrate on the last sentence but they were so shocked to hear jesus saying that he will be killed and then they were so disappointed they were thinking about this suffering of jesus the death of jesus and then suddenly jesus said 23rd we read like this next word suddenly jesus said one more thing then he said to them all to all of those people who are believing in him if any want to become my followers let them deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me now jesus gives a hint about what kind of death he is going to face because during those days there were so many different varieties of death for jewish people from roman empire roman executions were taking place in different way some people were killed glittened or some people were given poison terrible poison and some people were burned alive and there were so many varieties of methods they use to kill people and crucifixion is one of them now jesus said he will be killed and now he is in the second sentence he is giving a hint that his death will be on the cross that is why jesus says if anybody wants to follow me let them deny themselves and take up their cross and daily and follow me so jesus knew that he will be crucified it is not just a death or killing but he will be crucified jesus knows the importance of the cross and that is why jesus said if anybody wants to follow me let them deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me now what is this cross cross means he said roman execution cross doesn't mean just a two wooden thing and you carry for some time you know when we speak about cross we think about good friday on good friday the parish priest may take a cross and lead the stations of the cross and after the stations of the cross 14 stations he will keep the cross back in one corner of the church and he will continue doing his duty so that is what we see daily i mean every year during the stations of the cross or maybe good friday but the cross which jesus spoke about has got a difference there there is no return you carry the cross means at the end of the cross there is crucifixion execution there is no return you cannot just like a parish priest who keeps the cross in one side after the 14th station and then it goes to half the supply that doesn't happen in the real cross so it doesn't happen in the real cross when you carry a cross means at the end of this cross this journey there is a crucifixion so that means what does jesus say jesus says if anybody wants to follow me let them deny themselves deny themselves means deny your plan deny your desire deny your expectations deny your dreams every human being has got dreams and expectations and many plans the lord says deny all these things and if at all if you want to take up something take up their daily cross cross daily your cross daily and then follow me and what does it mean at the end of this carrying of the cross there is crucifixion what does it mean in short jesus was saying if anybody wants to follow me be ready to be executioned exec no you you should be be ready to be killed anybody wants to follow me be ready to be killed any husband who wants to follow me be ready to be killed every day maybe your hus wife is going to kill you spiritually it's been emotionally physically in many ways be ready to be killed for my sake not for money's sake some people fight with husband and wife and for the money that they have collected and they are ready to kill each other for to collect the money so that won't help you for my sake to keep life keep holiness to keep the priority of jesus for my sake so that is what we read in the word of god 24 we read like these for those who want to save their life will lose it and those who lose their life for my sake will save it those who lose their life for my sake my brothers and sisters in the in the name of jesus for the sake of jesus if you are insulted humiliated wounded rejected just because you stand for jesus just because you are doing ministry for jesus just because you serve the lord if you are insulted wounded the lord says take up this cross what does it mean ready to be executioned ready to be killed ready to be attacked ready to be wounded ready to be eliminated and you will save it sometimes we will try to save ourselves saying okay we justify ourselves in many ways and try to avoid execution avoid pain award suffering then we will lose it the lord says we will lose it praise the lord thank you jesus praise you jesus thank you father thank you praise you father thank you jesus sometime back a couple came they have a very disturbed child very disturbed child always giving headache and this and i asked them what happened what happened to this child then they said we don't know father everything was okay and suddenly this nature started and he is having depression violence attack and restlessness and he is having problem in the school and we cannot go anywhere we are so disturbed and we are so scared now because our whole life is affected because of this behavior of this child and they get angry with this child because of this behavior and when we prayed for them the lord said it is not the child who needs healing it is the parents who needs healing it is not the child who needs healing it is the parents who needs the healing so i spoke to the parents and i asked them spoke to them and then after some time they said one thing before this child i mean i think after this child they she was pregnant and she went to the hospital and then doctor said this child has got some kind of problem this child will have you know a less formed brain maybe some autistic tendencies and it will be a difficult child special child so do you need this child immediately just for the sake of having peace and enjoyment pleasure in their family and they don't want to take any responsibility of taking care of a special needs child they said we don't need this child and they aborted this child and then you know what happened now after some years this elder child is giving them so much of headache and disturbance what they were afraid of that has come to them what they were afraid of they didn't want to take a responsibility of taking the burden of taking care of a child who is in special needs now and they got rid of that child but now the other child is creating problems the lord said repent beg for forgiveness and pardon and reconcile in the presence of god and say i'm sorry lord pray for your child and then you will see your child will get healed then your child will be healed and delivered so mighty brothers and sisters those who try to save their life will lose it those who try to save their pleasure will lose the pleasure those who try to save their happiness will lose the happiness but god says if you are ready to carry your daily cross take up your daily cross and for my sake you will gain it you will save it you will get it and that is why bible says chapter 2 verse 4 sirach book of sirach chapter 2 verse 4 we read like this sirach chapter 2 verse 4 the word of god says accept whatever befalls you and in times of humiliation be patient accept whatever befalls you sometimes we may be rejected accepted not for some some people accept it as fatalism fatalism means it is my fate i have to go through this so with pain and sorrow you accept it that is not what i'm speaking about that is not what bible speaks about except for the sake of jesus accept whatever befalls you for the sake of jesus and in times of humiliation for the sake of jesus be patient when your husband humiliates you when your wife humiliates you when your neighbors humiliate you for the sake of jesus be patient sometimes we are patient because we are afraid of consequence that is not that real patience what god is talking is you are capable of retaliation you are capable of putting your husband down or wife down you are capable of suppressing anyone you are capable and brilliant and intelligent and you are able to stand alone but don't use all these capacities but instead be humble and be patient for the sake of jesus and that is what is going to help you therefore i'm not talking about fatalism but i'm talking about accepting for the sake of jesus so the bible says accept whatever befalls you sometimes sickness may come terrible sickness may come we have to you know it's very painful it may be difficult for us but we have to accept it accept it what does it mean after accepting don't go for hospital or medicine no that is not what i want that is not what the bible says accept it but at the same time go for medication whatever that you are needed and accept it and say lord i accept it if you want me to die with this i'm ready for that but i will try my best if you want to heal me lord heal me but whatever that happens i accept it from your hands for your sake i accept it then you will see healing taking place then you will see deliverance taking place then you will see complete anointing of the protection of god that is why the bible says accept whatever befalls you and in times of humiliation be patient verse 5 we read like this for gold is tested in fire and those found acceptable in the furnace of humiliation in the furnace of humiliation you will be found acceptable we all have to go through a furnace of humiliation sometimes we may be humiliated in a community disturbed hurt wounded and sometimes you will be rejected sometimes we may go through sicknesses problems physical ailments don't worry gold is tested in the fire and those who found acceptable now that is what god is waiting god you know we should be accept found acceptable we read verse six we read like this trust in him even in those moments of humiliation and rejection trust in him he will help you what does it mean that is why second saint augustine said saint augustine once said no command is hard and heavy when it comes from one who helps you to carry it out no command is heavy and hard and and terrible when it comes to to the one who helps you so when it comes from the one who helped you god gave you command and god will help you to fulfill it god gave you god told you carry your daily cross and follow me it may be very difficult for us to follow him carrying the cross knowing that we are going to be killed we are going to be executioned it is very difficult for us but the lord says i will help you i will help you and he says my yoke is not heavy easy and easy to carry and that is why bible says trust in him even if you are tested in fire even when you accept whatever that befalls you trust in him he will help you he will help you he will make your way straight and therefore hope in him my brothers and sisters this is what god wants to tell us today let us thank the lord in a special way husband and wife they have choices maybe they can get divorce separation shout at the husband file a case against wife there are so many options but choose jesus not any other option that is that is how you show your power not by filing a case against in the neighbor but by choosing jesus you show your power trust in him he will help you make your way straight and hope in him praise the lord thank you jesus my dear brothers and sisters many a time we trust in the police and court and many other things more than god we trust in anger and hatred more than god we trust in the threatening letters than god sometimes we trust trust in humiliation humiliating in humiliating the other person than in god therefore they fall they chose the wrong selections so there are so many families they started small small problems he ended up in uns resolved and solve problems there and any very helpless situations they enter into helpless situations for example small small arguments and then they call their family members and say husband calls the wife's family members and say you're a girl she spoiled my life she's like this like that and spoil her name in front of her family then suddenly wife calls his family and spoils his image in his family and then calls all the neighbors and family members and insult husband and wife in front of them and at the end there is no solution because you trusted in the humiliating the other person is more powerful than trusting in jesus and therefore you have ended up in a situation where there is no help no one can help you therefore the lord says trust in him he will help you even if you have problems in your financial area even if your problems in your job area working area trust in him he will help you he will open new doors in front of you he will open new ways in front of you therefore do not get discouraged do not be disappointed trust in him let's all close your eyes let's sing together the offer to him and offer all the
