hello again in this video we will compare two popular competitors Linux Mint and Zoran OS both operating systems are known for their userfriendly interfaces and stable performance these operating systems cater to a diverse audience looking for stability customization and ease of [Music] use Linux Mint and zor and Os are based on Ubuntu for starter the installation time of the two systems is very close regardless of the amount of software being installed the boot times of the two systems are very [Music] close the boot time on Linux Mint did a little better but the difference is not huge and I think it's minor Linux Mint has a traditional desktop environment that resembles Windows 7 with a taskbar start menu and system tray icons it offers four different desktop versions cinnamon mate xfce and cinnamon [Music] Edge [Music] Zoran OS core is a free version it includes four desktop versions Windows like Windows list like gome shell like and [Music] touch zorin OS Pro is a paid version and includes the four versions of the core version plus six more Mac OS like Windows classic like Windows 11 like Chrome OS like gome 2 like and ubun to [Music] like [Music] let's look at Linux Mint Linux Mint is a popular userfriendly Linux distribution known for its ease of use stability and aesthetic appeal Linux Mint primarily uses the cinnamon desktop environment which offers a traditional desktop layout reminiscent of Windows making it comfortable for users familiar with that operating system cinnamon is highly customizable allowing users to tailor their desktop experience to their preferences the update manager in Linux Mint helps users keep their system up toate by providing notifications about available updates and allowing users to easily manage the update process it offers different update policies such as applying only security updates or installing all available updates you can install themes in Linux Mint cinnamon from the Linux Mint applic apption menu select the themes application here you can individually change the theme of the cursor the look and layout of the buttons and folders as well as find and install a readymade theme to add a new theme click the add or remove tab in the themes application window from the list of themes select the one you want to install you can search by name or filter by popularity / recentness once you find the theme you
