um we're going to go pick up heading to pick up Dakota Meyer really excited uh a lot of respect for Dakota it's done a lot uh namely you know a medal of honor winner a living Medal of Honor winner which which that's rare in it of itself he was a marine and president of the United States in the name of the Congress takes pleasure in presenting the Medal of Honor to corpal Dakota El Meer United States Marine Corps for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the Call of Duty served our country and had a remarkable experience in the Middle East and so you know I'm not sure if that'll come up today but I'll end knows we're going to get together train lift run shoot I'll share what I do with him uh I've known of him since he was when that happened uh in Afghanistan he was 21 and now I think he's around 35 so I've known of him for a long time we've actually trained together in Vegas before I don't even know if he'll remember yeah excited Dakota Meer so [ __ ] dude [ __ ] you get in shape yeah yeah I got this Iron Man coming up when is that April 27th April so got 12 weeks out 12 weeks yeah I'm G try I'm I'm going for Kona qualifi for Kona how do you what do you have to do to get that I got so for Iron Man Texas I've got I've my time's got to be around 9:30 okay 9:30 um it's it should be impossible but you know yeah we're not against the odds you know that's all right that's right um so you did yeah but your half was fast so I don't know [ __ ] about triathlons other than the run is like the [ __ ] key part yeah you know yeah so like my strategy is is to to survive the swim Thrive the bike and don't die on the run so are you you're good on the bike yeah I'm I'm pretty strong on the bike good good quads that helps yeah I mean you know I'm a big guy yeah you know the big problem is I weigh too much yeah you know so like my you know muscles eating up trying to stay on top of your nutrition I mean I mean it's like it's a hard thing to do you got feed you got to feed that push Dr blood around yeah yeah and muscle burns moreor more calories than than fat so but yeah it's been good you know I just ran a half you know just to see like how much I was improving yeah and so I ran that half two weeks ago um I did a 128 23 we were talking about that too it's like that's [ __ ] running dude you know I didn't I didn't I didn't win but nobody bigger than me finished in front of me really you know you know how it is it's like you become who you surround yourself with and so you know I'm down there surrounded with these this group of human beings that are just yes they're athletes like it's that mindset too so how what do you want to do today how far do you want to run I as far as you want to go really yeah all right well we're here with Dakota Meyer and I'm hoping you got to wait for him this guy just freaking did a a sub 130 half marathon which is 645s right yeah something like that yeah so but I mean listen we I come from Texas it's flat yeah oh yeah no no Hills yeah this is uh you know you you did drive me halfway up the hill so we could start there all right so we're going to we're going to get a couple Summits in we're going to get some miles in are you pumped man I'm excited don't leave me behind I'm pumped to have you here just don't leave me behind so we'll see you guys on the [Music] top up guys holy smokes and then uh normally I run to Pisa which is right there is that hill over there yes sir so that's where me and Nick ran we went straight across yeah pretty much so we head down here and it's pretty much downhill we hit baly which is right there and then we cut cut down perfect how'd it feel man I ain't had that i a had that level of incline a long time did you you have a heart rate thing going did you see what it was yeah I was in the 180s yeah I tell people like if we start out to do a workout if you don't finish it I have to finish what you didn't do because ultimately that's the way life is right like whatever you don't take care of yourself somebody else has to do has to so it's like that rock it's like those guys sitting there saying poser to you and all those negative things that they say you're still carrying that burden for them theck of them wanting to do it [Music] SP goes for home kaby is bankrupt so to is preon goes in now for his second go medal seven NCAA titles every American record between 2 and 10,000 M undefeated on his home track over a mile but more PR was a phenomenon he stood for individualism rebellion and the pure joy of competition and if I can run like this in Munich I think I'm going to be pretty hard to St goes in now for his second goal medal and Stewart with a late front his last race right here so this Hayward used to look like this before and that's how far ahead he was on that wind I mean you don't even see no no you're just [ __ ] dude he [Music] unbelievable 10 mies so far got about probably a little over a th000 foot of gain and now we're going to run home and we can get some food about that you like to eat I want to eat um so you are right-handed right eye dominant okay good good so we'll slip this on and I'm pretty picky on front hand so let's say that's my handle you're going to go in like this so it's going to look like this from in the front it's going to like this from the back Knuckles at an angle your armb bone is directly to your pressure point right there so then there's no torque see any other way I'll twist the bow one way or the other when I'm under pressure so when I let go of the string it's going to turn but if you do this see the forearms down and out and the elbows out good good I like that yeah perfect and your pressure is going to be here you know not everybody can do what these guys are doing as far as tip of the nose and corner of the mouth but see his front hand I like Nathan's front hand the best see how you sh shoving that bow has this this is an old old old poster but I mean form never changes I mean it's like anything you you understand form I mean if forms good everything else is going to come but see how he's got that slight Bend in the elbow the arm's not straight none of these guys have a really straight arm all of them are bent slightly but I like Nate's like the king of four good and it's short yeah a little bit of bend on the arm so I'm going to go lengthen that out yeah we need a we need about an inch and a half to 2 in so you can go ahead and shoot that right [Music] [Music] there that's pretty zeroed right there he's smoking right in there keep him all the way get him a distance so he wreck these arrows yeah I heard a click on the last round but I think it it skipped off but wouldn't be long and we'd be making more [Music] arrows holy crap dude that is good shoot this is amazing that's all X's all X's that's all X you got one fly wall one F that's okay you're human just showing you're not super that good shoot that is really good look at that that'll work right that'll work I don't even think you're ruined it's freaking money that's awesome thank you for having me it's been an honor watching you just your passion for arer how do what day in between that we ran 13 miles Gustin Summits in Lifted and then you shot lights out dude I mean how how sweet was that brand new bow man that that Hoy is so awesome well thank you for
