Life Regrets of 90 Year Olds

well it's one of the joys of choice a hold age to me that's that's too full question because I retired when I was 65 yeah enjoyed retirement tremendously travelled along my white flight and cruises your life in retirement now it's it's an imagined it somewhat different from what it would have been undoing what it was actually the last 10 years my name is Paul Kimball I warn in and little town in Massachusetts called ash Burnham 1929 which means that I'm 90 years old the joys of old age well for me I've done a wonderful job of kidding here a I need you I surprised myself I am Susan Rossi I am 92 years old I was born and raised in Belleville New Jersey the date was August 21st 1927 the other choice I am blessed with wonderful genes and growing old gracefully I should be home as you can see I can walk talk pretty good 492 Rui gartrell I was born in Staten Island New York February 16 1927 and I'm 92 years I'm the mother of four children I now have eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild my name is Greta Pollak I'm 85 years old I had a good life and I think I have one now too my name is Anita Aaron Berger I was born on September 21st 1942 in Berwyn Illinois hobbies the best one is cooking giving out my recipes and the other is reading and that's about it because being a good cook I always had company that kept me busy and I loved people oh I like to read I did like to play golf a little bit but I'm not doing that now I loved cooking I used to my children would we didn't live far from the school so they would bring home with four children they would bring home a group trailing behind so I always had to have that cookie jar filled well I paint and draw and right now I'm trying to learn French so I spent a little bit of time every day working on that it's sort of a hobby know how to say good morning good morning fun for hobbies well I love sports that was primarily I was active in sports I played baseball in high school in the cross country in high school to attract to you in north outdoor so I've a red sock from from way back when Ted Williams came up in 1939 I was ten years old and I saw him play this rookie year so it's always been a big Red Sox fan so primarily it wasn't maybe in the high region and work I've been a lot of time at work some people say it it's not all work there's if you enjoy your job doing your job I think it's somewhat of a hobby well you don't have to go to work anymore that's that that that's a very good plus being in a place like this meeting people that have had the same life story says I'm going yeah I'm happy to be 85 years old and looking forward to my new great grandson who's going to be six months I guess that's about it so just only for all my life to join me and my children were healthy and free of any handicaps and that's chose you today it's still that way I really enjoyed retirement and being able to take a time do things that we wanted to do it without the schedules if you will the joys sleeping in in the mornings the highlights are memorized I think getting married was the biggest highlight my wife and I have been married for 64 years that's somewhat unnatural doctor many people stay together that long anymore one of the things that younger people have to try to get the act together if you will a little bit more better no we've been very fortunately found each other and I came home from career and I happened to meet her and I don't know it was really family yeah then hit any homeruns make touchdowns on any high level so far I don't even know where to begin working with teenagers was a great experience for me later on I ran Senior Center I was involved with sports I had a great life I also did ballroom dancing and loved music I had a good life I'm a chair I made use of my vacations from work and I made use of the time after I finished working after 65 I did a lot of traveling I've been on several cruises I have been all over the world I just love traveling one of my most awesome experiences was living on st. Croix for for two years that was that was something I never thought would happen but it did we ended up at the we rented a house on the top of a mountain overlooking Buck Island which is the only underwater park in the United States depends on one hour that day whether it's winter or summer but it is beautiful and it is always clear all the way down to the bottom you can see at least 25 feet down when you're in a sailboat oh my goodness I wouldn't want to be a parent it's too fast they're with their phones or their videos too much too much they should put them down and look at the world you know you try your best so don't have to do with parenting - how have you the parents and the kids relate with each other and I think they need a lot more closer relationship I think it would be a lot better off these days I think some are good some get into trouble that they had no business getting into and some of it was their parents fault and I blame the parents life is witching Megan it's what you what you wanna get out of it friends are important family is important learning is very important do I every minute you may never come back the only way to live is to keep a clean mind a clean body and get plenty of exercise that will give you a long life and then it's up to you what you want to do with your life as far as right and wrong no matter what you're doing when you start in whatever job requires make sure you do everything the job requires a myopic my philosophies always been do always Moore's it's never volunteer like don't believe that I do belong here and do extra work and I think that's how I was able to rise from an entry-level position to a director level position by the time I reach the same thing in the army I said don't don't don't don't volunteer mow the volunteer and I wrote a link from from the private to staff side in 30 days Jew thinks do for people help your town it's a great think it's a great feeling when you help others I won think I did what my boys was the girl chew when I used to reprimand them they thought oh I was the meanest person but I said to them you think I'm bad which he get on the outside world you got many many things chicken front with regrets it's not I'm very fortunate to be I get my blue jays don't ask it me mom I do I get lonely I don't care to be here hey of course I fight it off and face tomorrow no you know I really don't think I do I enjoy doing what I did that said my philosophy was doing better and what was really had to do and I already did that and I think in time people recognize that and you get rewarded for that so no I don't unfortunately you know doing this during the service time you have to go in and you have to do certain things which is not the nicest in the world but but I don't regret anything my family my wife 64 years was still there so well of course I yeah there's plenty I could have done if I had a little more ambition but being young I found it not more fun to go out and play rather than study which i think is the wrong thing to do that hadn't learned to be a play the piano from know I really don't my life has been very full not really I'm happy with the way things turned out I'm where I should be even though I didn't want to be I didn't know what this place was gonna be like but it's not half as bad as I thought it was gonna be the people are really wonderful and it is a family now the longer you're here the more you know them the more they become part family what your family is the people you sit with at the dining table you know everything about their lives they know everything about your life and we care about one another [Music] you [Music]
