Let’s Go Combining!

[Music] [Music] do [Music] so happy friday it's a beautiful morning here there's actually no wind just up feeding my horse and of course all the cows came too gracie's pretty good at defending her chop though the cows don't really mess with her ever saucy old broad reminds me so much of me hey guys um so it sounds like nick is going to start combining in the barley here later today so i'll bring you back for some action out in the field and i'm back tonight we're moving the combines over to the barley at grandpa henry's or over at my dad's and they're just going to do a little test see how it goes but we have our whole parade heading over that way i am taking antoine's unit over there so he can just go home tonight from my walk up instead of coming all the way back here by belgar to get his truck which makes for a lot of extra driving it is about a half an hour to go across so away we go off into the sunset see if we can do some barley tomorrow i already called dibs on a green truck i know that seems bizarre but i really do enjoy hauling great so we'll see if there's a truck reserved for me tomorrow antoine needs to wash his windshield good lord good lord i'll talk to you here in a bit [Applause] i have the wrong footwear on oh dear got a couple hitchhikers we're out trying to find ivan i mean how far away did the guy get with the combine see any elephants nope nope yeah yeah i haven't seen one yet grandpa said there's elephants out here i don't know so i'm just taking off half a hopper just to check and see how many greens are in the barley i think this is next nick's dream of mold barley up here there he is a lot of breeze so this will probably be tough here in no time but we'll be ready for tomorrow right sophia shorts in the stubble tough wheat money except it's uh not weed it's barley [Applause] so barley oh so a few greens in there oh just around the odd low spot yeah here we are back out in the barley gonna put in a full day here we've got two combines running i am in charge of running the trucks around the field chasing the combines and nick has rob over to tag team i suppose if you want to call it sounds dirty uh to unload the truck so i don't have to around with that so that's good this sweet truck has air conditioning the international so that is nice it is actually supposed to be 38 or something ridiculous today 100 degrees fahrenheit basically and coral antoine in the massey with the air conditioning that's down again so he's ready to drop dead nick is off for parts and someone is coming out for us as i believe to get that going for antoine so he doesn't die today it's kind of handy to have around we don't need him expiring in the heat so here we go a nice full day out in the field combining barley does it look like a fairly good crop of barley yeah lots of straw coming out that'll keep amanda busy oh nice thank god he had to haul the bales he was kind of concerned because he said he doesn't know how to drive you know oh no well you'll learn quick i don't drive around yep can't hurt nothing we all started there put the truck in here let it go hardly any trees even run into out here [Applause] so here's nick's new purchase and ivan and i are just trying to get everything set up the cylinder speed doesn't seem to be working in the cab so i am helping ivan with it nothing so there's no oil going up in there it's a mystery it works because it turns the pickup [Music] it's about 110 degrees today too again so good grief don't need my seat belt thanks though pretty exciting eh wrap it up we got oil here now we're winning yay suppose i made a big mess all depends on your definition of a big [Music] so [Music] so [Music] so everything [Applause] there's birthday boy antoine running around in the massey his lucky day he has air conditioning again i don't know if he could do it today it's so hot and amanda and the baby are bailing she's got like 90 some bales out here already oh the stockpile of straw that's for sure and sophie and ivan are gonna run the deer just me and you will tell papa to go home he'd like that he'll sit in the air conditioning and pop his house okay papa henry's house nice and cool in there what he's just setting it [Applause] [Applause] three combines big operation if it were 1980s [Applause] [Applause] my pickup's slowing down yeah sure that's a big squat not cleaning up under the auger yet there's green coming in that's a good sign at least we have one hopper done there's a long hopper so [Music] you
