LEGO Dimensions' Platinum Is Very Underrated!

Lego dimensions I have this game all the way back in 2015 or 16 on my PS3 and I enjoy the game a lot I somehow never finished the story though but about a month ago I saw the game in my trophy list so I decided to spend around 98 on the game Anna's toy pad to get the Platinum honestly it would have only been 75 bucks but I had to get a replacement character and I originally got the PS3 version so since I had to spend more money anyway I just decided to get the PS4 version I think that this is one of the most underrated Lego games but to be fair is mostly underrated because you need to spend so much money to set it up because of this I obviously won't be doing the DLCs only the base game there are 39 trophies for this game so let's get started so the game starts off with Robin Frodo and MetalBeard being kidnapped from their world and Batman Gandalf and wild style attempting to rescue them twins I wonder if one of them is evil [Music] this technology looks advanced my guess that Gateway created the rift that brought us here and which Gateway the one that exploded hmm perhaps we should rebuild it good idea I did that in real life already though we rebuilt the Gateway and I get my first trophy [Music] time to break the rules rebuild the Lego Gateway from this point on I'm only going to add highlights of the story but in this first mission I decided to also do a trophy called Forever Alone where I need to complete a level while only one character is ever on the toy pad because this was the first mission it made the trophy really easy since I didn't have to have multiple characters on the pad at once which happens later there's no place like this forever alone got it play level only keeping completely level whatever I don't know why I can't say it but I got it during the mission we acquired a keystone and there are four more just like it that we get the one that we got is the shift Keystone which creates three portals I could use to toy pad to teleport through after that cutscene I'm introduced to the main villain Lord Vortec he's kidnapping the heroes from other dimensions in order to get their artifacts which he calls Foundation elements he also gets villains from these dimensions and makes them work for him after a fight with the joker we get the next Keystone known as the chroma Keystone this looks valuable [Music] oh I'm going to need attack a taxi from the roof of Springfield nuclear power plant oh never mind one's here thank you chroma Simpson we meltdown acceptor 7g after that place we travel to my favorite Lego theme Ninjago let's go let's go we drop in during Master Chen's Tournament of elements which he hosts to steal elemental powers no that is not how you spell clouds Chan makes us fly different Elemental Masters the masters of speed gravity and metal to beat Turner we needed to trip him and the crowd would drop pieces required for a chroma Keystone and this needed to be done three times oh the chroma Keystone requires me to assign a color to a character and move them to whichever part of the toy pad that need to be on later on I'll need to assign multiple characters to combine colors what oh gosh I forgot what this does oh that's how you do it okay I remember this now oh try again only one can remain oh we then fight gravis which is a pretty repetitive fight that makes me teleport to him multiple times foreign to be him we needed to make a magnet to render his metal useless okay magnet huh oh I have a magnet you you cheated nobody cheats in my tournament [Music] relax [Music] whatever Lex Luthor was with that stab it won't be good come on so we ended up in this cave but it's pretty launched so I'm not gonna show it after the maze cave we found the third Keystone the elemental Keystone we got interrupted by Saruman who steals it and we fought him for it his fight was easy but after that we needed to fight Lex Luthor and then after that we fought Chen it's a lot of bosses but after fighting Shen we got the Keystone took his staff and I got two trophies of my sunshine oh that's our time for an upgrade collect five gold bricks cool after that we went to doctor who world dang in the nick of time you want me Metropolis and went through 50 shift mode riffs what the rule for this shift and got the last two keystones scale and locate after that we went to the Wild West interdimensional Showdown and we rebuilt a robot named Expo who has been guiding us the whole time and he tells us that we should get the other Foundation elements before Vortech can get them surely that plan will go well then we go to my favorite Mission the portal mission for the world let's go this doesn't look like a bakery is that you GLaDOS no you're not her you're just another turn [Music] we wish to buy a cake okay why do they always want the cake yes yes welcome to the Aperture Science computer-aided Enrichment Center I've never actually played portal I have them on Steam but I've actually played normally we're supposed to use a portal gun but of course we use our own methods ah that's not how you use that well I mean it's kind of all we got it I want to use this time to show you the locate and scale keystones locate makes me follow the color of my toy pad until it turns green and I get a circle prompt scale makes me shrink if the character is on orange or enlarged on green while the middle goes back to normal I forgot to show Elemental earlier but it does what you'd expect it gives me elemental powers all right what's coming out of this oh okay Homer 's okay and as a result you'll damage the testing environment an extra [Music] testing will be required to repay expenses I hope you brought a packed lunch so this one's gonna go through that hole and hit the turrets yup GLaDOS decides to break the elevator but we get saved by none other than wheelie if you don't know who wheelie is basically he's just a very talkative comic relief character he definitely won't be a problem later danger if my random guess if my Carefree words and calculations are correct this point will lead you straight out of the vicinity as I was getting so worried let us continue for science good job Wheatley after that chamber we got into a fight with GLaDOS the fight starts off with just simply dodging her crush and moving the characters from the red spots amazing avoid these neurotoxin canisters using the shift Keystone what the heck then she decided to just end everything and bore us to death I guess but we outsmarted her oh you gave me a locate Keystone so how 9000. I'm game of chance I was distracted hey I couldn't get those oh my goodness apart from being in an oven anyway prepare your impressed faces strangers because I Wheatley I'm here to Hero the situation no that brought it closer just made the final time is it really okay um after dealing with the fire we leave with the cake and I get the trophy [Music] they kind of leave you because of what you keep doing to everybody plan to be out of there that isn't actually the last time I need to do that mission though later I will need to complete it in 25 minutes but before that I did one more Mission but then I took a detour to a hub world to get a red brick home sweet home visit any Hub world for the first time again here's the red brick what what is it doing get back here what oh yeah I got it oh finally I was trying to buy all right now I get double the studs this will be helpful for later then I upgraded the Batmobile to models two and three saved the toy tag foreign [Music] nice that's model three after that I gave the Batmobile a pink color scheme another common pink stupid during the last bit of this Mission I entered elemental mode for the 25th time Elemental my dear and elemental mode on 25 and unique occasions [Music] after that we made it to Foundation Prime AKA Vortex dimension when I arrived with the fellowship be on your God I always am ah there's one for you no these are for you dang I think this has gone on long enough thank you oh [Music] friendship is a weakness you should have just destroyed elements wow [Music] [Applause] [Music] behold the foundation of all dimensions all this for a green Square [Music] our friends oh don't worry the last thing I want to do is keep you apart laughs what is he doing for them he's combining them oh wow [Music] you can't run forever every Dimension is mine and yours will be the first foreign okay so Expo dies wow and we go to stop to try and save our friends for real bro try okay there you go oh we're inside and that's exactly what we do we save metal beard Frodo and Robin and we barely Escape it's collapsing in on itself [Music] foreign try Hard with a Vengeance then we get help from people of many dimensions fix Expo and then it's on to the final mission Prime yes okay [Music] so to be Vortex first phase we need to push these block things into Vortec three times okay oh dang three of them Dane tougher than the other to beat this part I just need to get Bane to crash into the pods and then beat him up when he's back to normal bro he's he's in the way oh Vortec is mad oh that is a lot of stuff that is a lot of stuff to do there's a oh I activated a portals oh that's one of those things down okay all right I know wild style needs this so all right what is that [Music] oh here why not while figuring out what to do next I accidentally completed my 25th chroma puzzle oh I didn't mean to do that but okay and over here all right so I needed to go back here so that I can locate something over here is that a giant Dalek cool oh wait oh I did not know I did not know you used the blue one it doesn't work what does this do okay I think that was the point yep that was the point okay [Music] annoyed him perhaps just a touch what is that oh my God they're wrecked full that wasn't supposed to happen oh oh [Music] [Music] okay I can't just reassemble the elements this isn't to feed for me this isn't what it is you're right Vortech but that is [Music] uh [Music] okay I need to tie up that Rift into a pretty little bow so the tall dark and shouty can't get out you need to stand just there good don't move is there anything we can do I suppose you could yell sorry but there's a good chance I won't be able to get out of here if this works you ready to go Expo Yeah final calculations complete uploading now again a while stop point the devices [Music] Perfection the perfect prison [Music] foreign [Music] what about the doctor is he okay for ages what took you so long hmm Oh serious loophole broke the rules that's that's the end of the story now that the story is done I need to do all the Hub World related trophies so there are seven Hub later trophies none of them are harder super interesting so I won't talk about them much but before that I traveled through my 20th Rift [Music] oh travel through 20 verses out throughout the game original Explorer this is the homes of Batman Gandalf and wild style then I completed my first renovation installing order complete any Hub World renovation then I did my first race and then shortly after I did my fifth race and I just completed the same race over and over to do it is [Music] okay I got gold anyway dimensional Dasher complete race in any of the Hub worlds and I could just do it over and over pedal to the metal complete five Puck races then I completed a hub World quest the heroes we need complete any Hub World quest nice and for doing that I also got my 30th gold brick I was also getting gold breaks from complete emissions for the first time the real gold oh I got 30 gold bricks too let's go and for the final Hub trophy I completed my 15th renovation master builder let's go next I decide to go for the portal speed run it took me three tries but I ended up getting it this first run could have worked had I not gotten confused on this part but I at least finished my 25th locate puzzle here I completed the locate mode stuff on my second attempt this happened real dude and this is the successful attempt this is also where I really wanted wheelie to shut up really you need to hurry up I have two minutes left we need to talk too much please I think I've done it I think I've done it [Music] yes oh thank you thank you thank you after this I gave the Batmobile chrome paint job do you like bling Batman you're the bad mobile chrome paint job finally I collected 30 mini kids but sadly I made a mistake I somehow forgot to change the location of my camera to a different folder so it overwrote my gameplay so I don't have my reaction to the Platinum which really sucks but I do at least have auto save footage [Music] anyway since the game isn't on the PlayStation Store I had to look at my save file and it took me 16 hours and 48 minutes to get the Platinum I hope you enjoyed the video if you did consider liking and subscribing this Platinum was very nostalgic for me and another nostalgic
