You don't necessarily have to trim every single time (just when it actually needs trimmed). How often it needs trimmed will vary with a lot of factors. It's best to measure the case after resizing - trim if needed. Of course, accuracy will improve if all of the cases are as near to identical as you can get them, and that includes length.

Rifle brass will need to be trimmed much more often than pistol brass. Light target handgun loads very likely will never need to be trimmed, for example.

Rifle brass a lot of people resize and deprime. Then trim off press then back into the press to finish

It’s a poor choice for loading rifle cartridges although I do use a 3 hole turret for my match ammo. I do all of the case prep on a single stage then use the turret to prime, charge, seat then crimp.

They are great for pistol cartridges as they don’t need to be trimmed or cleaned of case lube.

Well you don't have to trim every time you reload. If you resize and trim the cases they are good for several resizes and loading before you need too do it again. Trimming a rifle cartridge is more important when you use a roll crimp as the extra length can cause problems and if you switch to a factory crimp it will alleviate many issues.

Most of my brass is in batches and I well periodically check a few pieces for length and if they are getting close then I will trim. Otherwise they just get run through the press as normal.

Also some brass will grow faster than others. Kind of depends on how much bigger the chamber is and the pressure of the cartridge.

What I do is prep all of the cases (resize, trim, clean the primer pocket) and then run it through the turret. This does result in it going through the resizer twice, but it works and doesn't result in having to take it on and off the press.

The only thing I can think of is setting it up:

Deprimer/primer Sizer Some sort of case trimmer Bullet loader/crimper

Is that even possible?

I use the turret press for all handgun loads as I do not trim those. All rifle kid are done on a single stage for me.

I don’t trim all that often... pretty simple.

My new press has 10 stations and trims on press.

This makes me thankful that I shoot straight walled cases most of the time... Trim them when you buy them and don't think about it for a year or two...
