okay what's up guys welcome to the channel if you're new here thanks for clicking on the video hopefully you enjoy the video and it helps you and if you are a longterm subscriber thanks for always watching the videos helps me out I appreciate it before I get into the video one thing I'll upload this material that we're going to create to the patreon so feel free to check it out Link in the description appreciate that as well but without further Ado let's jump into it and let's create a leather material and what's cool about this is you can always change the colors so once you create this note setup in shading you can just tweak the colors and create different materials so let's get into it first thing shift a mesh let's add a icosphere let's go here bring the subdivision to five right click shade smooth this is just where we're going to put the material on then go shading let's go yeah hold on shift zoom in let's go yeah perfect and what you want to do make sure in Cycles boom and then hit new drag this up a touch okay first thing you want to do is just drag this down something like that then what you want to do is go shift a and then add a bump node plug the normal into the normal of the principal psdf what you want to do is go shift a and top in foro perfect and then go from here click here change this to smooth F1 and bring the smoothness all the way down to zero and then what you want to do is go shift d to duplicate it put that there next to it and then change this smoth of the second one to 0 25 what you want to do is hit contrl T and this should come up the node re angular if you don't have it just hit edit preferences go to search type in node and enable that just check it it should work I pressing control t on that then plug the position of this one into the vector of the other V and then change the object into the vector then what you want to do is go here shift a typ in color for a color ramp put that over there then click on the white then find like a kind of like a brown kind of Mater color something like that then you're going to add another one so hit plus drag this across somewhere like that then what you want to do is click on this one change this one this down for like a brownish color and then basically what you want you don't want the black so if I click here you don't want this color but you want something like that so it's like even throughout so how do we do that it's really easy click on this click here hit X and then hit click on it and go control C to copy click on the black boom boom hit here hit contrl V placed now we got both colors so cool trick maybe you learned something maybe knew this but yeah works pretty well and what you want do is with this one just make it dark very dark somewh like that okay and just bring it in a touch then what you want to do is plug the distance of the foro to the effects of the color ramp and plug the color into the base color and look how cool that's looking and what you want to do it's looking pretty good you want to just drag the texture coordinate go shift a and top in noise get a noise texture plug that in there between the mapping and the textt record it and look how cool that's looking now then next thing you want to do is go shift a type mix color plug this in here and what you want to do is take this object and plug this into B of the mix Shader let me do it again perfect and then just drag all this detail all the way up and you can bring the scale up it's about 15 okay then what you want to do is play with the factor so I think 0 8 is good you can play the scale of the broi so I'm going to go 25 and 25 then we're almost done bring this here let bump go shift a look for color ramp then plug the color into the height of the bump then what you're going to do is take this distance of the for texture closest to the principal bsdf plug into the effect of the color ramp we going to do is play with the strength 0.35 is normally pretty good then obviously this is not leather so what you want to do is just click invert give it a couple of seconds and now look how cool that's looking you can see here now if I go to viewport display bring this in boom CL this see Ni it's looking it's got the reflections on it it looks pretty good in my opinion so you can always change the color of this you can make it like a green leather black leather once you got this not setup so I'm going to upload this to the patreon if you're a member you can download this so hopefully enjoyed the video and thanks for always supporting the channel see you in the next video peace
