before we begin this video is sponsored by my friends over at nordvpn if you don't know what a vpn is my first question is what rock do you live under but for those of you that do know what a vpn is but aren't currently using one my second question is why not if you live in a country that is constantly blocking content for whatever reason for example australia's government regulations nordvpn is a simple and easy way to watch the content that you want to see when i say simple i really do mean it one click and boom you're connected to the country of your choice not only will you have the ability to watch the content but you'll also have the peace of mind knowing that you're using the internet more privately and in a safer way the best part is that it won't break the bank either right now using my link at nordvpn.com you'll get 68 off nordvpn that's only 371 per month plus you get an additional month for free once again thank you very much to my sponsor over at nordvpn and let's begin the year 2021 is coming up fast and of course that means a new year and a new season for league of legends every single year we get a new game with fresh ideas in season 6 and 8 we got new masteries and new runes in season 5 we got a new map with an updated summoner's rift and in season 10 the rise of the elements with the new elemental dragon buffs but as per usual with riot games they always try to one up themselves and this year this upcoming season 11 is going to be unlike any other season 2021 will be all about the item rework brand new items the return of old items the adjustment of current items but that's just the tip of the iceberg multiple rune changes scuttle crab having a shield cooldown reduction is now a brand new system called ability haste victor has a mini rework and much much more there is no question that league of legends is a very different game from what it used to be for better or for worse but we should officially look to say goodbye to league of legends 1 after over a decade because that's gone now this preseason might as well mark the beginning of league of legends 2. 10k crit it's not balanced and honestly i don't think that a lot of them are going to make it to life in their current states gain invisibility what it's broken there are so many changes in the game just got blown wide freaking open i hope you're ready for this amount of a.d you get attack speed you get crit chance and you get life steal that that's insane [Music] it's overwhelming to try and consume every possible change but if we take it one by one we can definitely do it let's run down the list of every change and work our way through this bad boy together giving a short analysis of how it will impact the game and the meta but there's one thing that i must clarify first listen the meta will be impossible to predict this will without a doubt be the most unique season ever the current meta right now that you see will probably look nothing like the final season 11 meta there were some champion changes but even if there were no champion changes whatsoever this game could still flip on its head and pull a complete 180. items much like runes are such an integral part of this game and it drastically changes what happens if you have two champions in a 1v1 duel to the death but they can only use the abilities in their kit assuming they have no items or runes it could have one outcome but then if you make those champions 1v1 with 6 items and fully utilize the rune system it could have an entirely different outcome what could seem like a tiny buff such as giving graves just a little bit of help could end up changing the entire jungle meta around him and subsequently change the entire game around it all 10 champions and all five roles must interact with each other thousands of times per game let's take one of the changes how about the tier changes tier will now be a starting item that you can get for 400 gold which has many different ramifications ryze could end up being a strong early game duelist ezreal could be seen as a lane dominant 80 carry that could in turn change the rest of the map to play around it how about these mythic items let's say 80 carries get strong on their one mythic item rather than their usual 2 to 3 items that changes what types of supports are played too if the support pool is different and it's full of lane dominant mages like zyra that changes the necessity for mid lane mages if that changes and the mid lane is full of assassins well that typically will change the jungle pool as well if jungle doesn't have their assassins but instead favors tanks that might mean that tanks in the top lane will not be as necessary either and that is just one change for the preseason with hundreds more to come the point is this i cannot possibly understand the meta right now no more than you can but we can kind of assess things together and look at them one by one and give some context so let's get into it the rework of cooldown reduction and other stats should be our first place to start as reading through the items wouldn't make a lot of sense if you first didn't understand what the heck ability haste is cooldown reduction has been replaced by a new stat called ability haste there's some calculations and math on screen but more or less there's a couple things you need to understand number one is that ability haste power stacks linearly and is uncapped what that means is that if you weren't aware the current cooldown reduction system is of course not linear that means that when you get more cooldown reduction towards the end of your cap meaning when you go from 30 to 40 percent cooldown reduction that is more valuable and gives you more effective cooldown reduction than it does to go from zero to ten either way it's still ten percent cdr but it's more effective once you get closer and closer to the cap also of course cdr does cap at forty 40 or 45 if you take the rune cosmic insight with it now scaling linearly that means that buying 10 ability haste when you have 50 going from 50 to 60 is the same effect as going from 10 to 20. it also does not cap so you can actually get more cooldown reduction than ever before and more effective cooldown reduction assuming you bought all ability haste items there is going to be a lot more crit in the game and because of that critical strike base damage has been reduced from 200 of your normal damage to 175. we've also seen nerfs to the mid lane roll siege minions from the mid lane are now having their gold reduced by 10 for the first 14 minutes of the game and mid lane siege minions gain 30 bonus attack speed while attacking turrets this is a direct nerf to the role of mid lane and makes it so that they get less gold than they did before finally for these game systems tenacity will now properly reduce the duration of knock-ups because for some reason it didn't before however you should know that certain champions like vi that would be seriously hurt by this change have been hard-coded to still not be affected so vi's ultimate should still knock up for the same duration and still have that same duration going through these items is going to take a very long time so i'll make a table of contents for you in the description down below and you can jump to the timestamps instead of doing it alphabetically i believe it'll be a little bit easier to track if we just group them together let's first begin with items that were removed and that we have to say goodbye to keep in mind if your main champion uses one of these items before you worry too much most of them have a direct replacement and i'll make a note of that when we get to the new version for example glp is removed but in place of that is a new item called everfrost which is just more powerful in every single way since it is a mage mythic item the removed items are adaptive helm athenes and holy grail bilgewater cutlass bloodrazer chalice of harmony cinderhulk frozen mallet haunting guys hextech glp hextech gunblade hunter's machete hunter's talisman runic echoes skirmisher saber spellbinder stalker's blade static shiv stinger twin shadows and the warrior enchantment also i think it's worth noting that rod of ages is technically something quite a bit different so i think it's been indirectly removed the reason that all of the jungle items were removed is because we have a brand new jungle system just like supports you now pay the initial 350 gold for one of the jungle items and then you don't spend any more throughout the game omnivamp is also a stat that you're going to see a lot more often this season which is just 10 total healing for all damage you deal attacks or spells after you smite five times you'll get a red smite or a blue smite which is pretty nice that you only spend 350 gold on jungle items but remember that the old jungle enchantments were much cheaper completed items compared to the laners this is probably a slight nerf to early game powerful junglers looking to snowball for example lee sin is now not able to purchase warrior enchantment for a total of 2625 gold now you have to wait for 3500 to 3800 gold for the 350 gold jungle item plus the completed mythic so that might slow down the pace of jungling just a little bit however mythics are way more powerful than the previous jungle enchantments just like the mythics are for every other role so i guess we'll have to see finally before we move into class specific items let's cover the starting items since every champion has to start something dark seal retains its 350 gold costs but now gives 20 ability power and 40 health the combo you would see very commonly on champions like twisted fate or leblanc where you get a dark seal and a corrupting potion has been more or less removed because dark seal no longer gives 25 increased healing from potions and refillable potions to compensate you now gain the full 5 ability power for each stack of glory like you do with meiji's which is a buff from the previous version where it only gave you three per stack by the way for magis it actually carries over the health instead of mana very similar to dark seal this is a pretty good change for ap champions that don't have mana like katarina and akali who like to snowball but it's probably a nerf to champions like leblanc who benefited not only from the corrupting combo but kind of liked the mana as well doran's ring now gives more health and no longer gives 5 mana per 5 seconds interestingly it now has a passive that restores 6 mana for killing a minion but if you cannot gain mana you instead restore 3 health right now champions like vladimir and akali take doran's ring even though they don't have any mana so this is a nice change and a pretty big buff for non-mana ap champions and doran's ring will be a more favorable option than it already is for non-mana champions as stated before tier is now a starting item at 400 gold the mana was reduced to only giving 150 it also has a new passive which deals 8 damage on hit to help you farm and note that this is adaptive 4 so if you're playing ezreal it will deal physical damage but if you're playing rise this will deal magic damage the mana charge has also been changed you are given a charge every 8 seconds up to a maximum of 4 charges and striking an enemy with an ability consumes a charge and gains 3 bonus mana increased to 6 if it's a champion the maximum mana by the way has also been brought down from 750 to 450 bonus mana this change is pretty important to understand number one you can no longer stack your tier on your way back to lane or in base by just throwing out random skill shots you have to hit something number two you're incentivized to actually fight and trade with your tier that way you can stack it faster for the support starting items they've had their gold generation increased and the cooldown on their charges reduced that way supports during the early game will now get more gold finally doran's blade is pretty interesting it now no longer gives three percent lifesteal but instead three percent omni vamp but it's reduced to one percent against non-champions it's also given a maximum of 20 health healed per ability so it's not going to be used a bunch late game as it probably shouldn't this means that 80 casters such as riven renekton kaiser or jace will benefit heavily from the extra healing and you're probably going to see a lot more doran's blade than shield on those aggressive champions which i guess is a pretty good change but this seems kind of opie alright let's start with the first category in the new shop fighters and bruisers the basic items for this category are all pretty much the same no changes to the likes of cloth armor long sword pickaxe and the rest of the normal components as you move into the next tier of items though there is tons of stuff sheen now only costs 700 gold and no longer has mana or ability haste but it retains its iconic spellblade passive without question this is a buff for non-mana spell weavers i'm sure riven or renekton are some of the first champions that come to mind when you think about this item now eternal drive is a brand new item that builds out of a ruby crystal for a total cost of 800 gold it gives 150 health and 7 movement speed singed players are singing loud for all to hear warden's mail in the line of items that it builds into has been given a small change it no longer reduces attack speed by 15 but it instead reduces incoming damage per 1000 health and that will follow through with the completed items on hit knife is a new item that sounds like it has a placeholder for a name but apparently that's what it's called it costs 1 000 gold and builds out of two daggers for 35 attack speed and a passive that reads deal 30 magic damage on hit for every 20 critical strike chance up to 150 bonus magic damage on hit at 100 crit chance but can no longer critically strike this item is a component of the new quincus rageblade which shares a similar passive basically the on-hit knife and rageblade gain damage on hit based on your crit chance but it no longer lets you crit it's just that the crit chance increases that on hit damage i immediately start to think of a champion like vayne or kog'maw that don't necessarily care about the crit so much and care a little bit more about the on hit damage and the rage blade passive it might be pretty good on a champion like tryndamere as well but of course he really does like his crits so he probably wouldn't build this phage is now cheaper at 1100 gold and has the exact same build path and base stats it has a new passive though after dealing physical damage to an enemy champion heal three percent of maximum health reduced to one point five percent if ranged over six seconds this will be the ultimate trading item for lane giving a nice amount of sustain for bruisers if you couple that with the doran's blade i'm slightly worried about laning phases stalling out but i don't know kodachi is a new item that costs 1100 gold and builds out of a dagger and a long sword for 15 a.d and 15 attack speed and the passive on the item is the old phage passive so that's where it went to mat no longer has its health regeneration or its slightly weird build path including the rejuve beads but now only costs 1200 gold total and built out of a pickaxe the active part of the item has been removed but the passive cleave still persists however you can buy this on range champions now yeah you're seeing that right if it sounds weird but also somewhat familiar you may know that way way back in the day you could buy tiamat on range champions and it was crazy to see champions like twitch with tiamat just to clarify ravenous hydra and titanic hydra also can of course be bought by range champions now comma is also a brand new item that has the exact same build path and cost as tiamat gives 30 attack damage and just has the old tmat active as it's active while you don't get the passive on every single auto the attack does have a nice feature where low health minions and monsters take double damage with a cooldown of 15 seconds on that active which is affected by ability haste finally for the major component items in this section aegis now costs a whopping 1500 gold gives 30 armor and 30 mr and 15 ability haste but has the same build path alright now that we know the epic items which serve as the major components for the fighters what do they actually build into chem punk chain sword is our first new fighter item serving as the anti-healing caster item that champions like darius or renekton would like to build against soraka it costs 2700 gold to give 45 a.d 200 health and 15 ability haste the passive is dealing physical damage to enemy champions and flicks them with 40 grievous wounds for two seconds increase to 60 percent if the target is below half of their maximum health manamune for a long time in league of legends had been a niche item only really ezreal and sometimes jace were building it but in the last couple of months it's made a comeback and tons of adc's and other champions have been favoring it it now costs 2800 gold gives more flat mana and has 15 ability haste the tier mechanic where you must hit an enemy to stack it also carries over to the item as with the serifs it upgrades to mirror mana at 450 mana instead of 750. rageblade is an item that i could see either being super top tier or not really built at all it costs 3000 gold and builds out of on hit knife cloak of agility and a dagger and it gives 50 attack speed and 20 crit chance it no longer has 15 armor and magic pen though and it no longer gains the 48 attack speed over time as with the on hit knife you can no longer crit once you purchase it but your crit strike chance will increase the on-hit damage at 100 chance you will be dealing 200 bonus magic damage on hit and the phantom hit returns to the item but rather than only starting once you reach maximum stacks it's just every third auto triggers the on-hit effects twice silver weave leg plates is a new qss item for the bruiser class building out of pickaxe qss and a ruby crystal for 3000 gold gives 35 ad 200 health and 35 mr and after using the active you gain forty percent tenacity and slow resistance for three more seconds the collector is more of an assassin item but it is technically listed under fighters so let's cover it now this item is three thousand gold and builds out of dirk cloak of agility and pickaxe giving 45 a.d 20 crit chance in 18 lethality sounds like a quin item to me the passive is very cool if you deal damage that would leave an enemy below 5 of their maximum health execute them kills grant you an additional 25 gold having an execute below 5 maximum health is a good way to make sure you can finish off squishies but because tanks also have a lot of maximum health it's not really bad either to help assassins actually deal with tanks blade of the ruin king is a long time fan favorite item and it's seeing a lot of changes to its passive it's now 3100 gold so it's 200 gold cheaper than on live but no longer builds out of cutlass since cutlass has been removed it gives 40 ad 30 attack speed and 15 life steal but more importantly the passive is nerfed for most of the season after bork was buffed we saw champions like aurelia and jax run wild but the current health damage has been lowered from 12 to 10 percent for melee champions also its iconic active is gone and instead attacking a champion three times deals magic damage and steals 25 of their movement speed for two seconds on a 20 second cooldown this is interesting maybe a champion like tryndamere who could chase you down after attacking three times there is nothing about the movement speed being lower for range champions either so it's like a mini phase rush on an item passive allowing adcs to kite with it but maybe adcs will just build other stuff i'm not too sure it sounds kinda crazy wit's end is now 3100 gold which is quite expensive but it's been given 40 attack damage which is a great alternative for bruisers against ap teams maybe if the enemy team is not bursty but rather has a lot of magic dps you don't really care about the hex drinker shield and it's not something that always saves you this is a great secondary option to that and it has a similar passive to the old phage so we will see this on bruiser champions against mages it feels like every year death stance has to be reworked and once again it's been updated it no longer builds out of aegis and instead only gives armor the cost has been lowered from 3 600 to 3100 and its passive is different there is no direct healing on your damage anymore and the post mitigation damage has been changed death dance now stores 35 percent of all physical damage only for melee and 15 for ranged and is dealt over 3 seconds as a bleed but champion takedowns now give you a movement speed boost of 30 bonus movement speed for 2 seconds and it removes any bleed on you from the item instead healing you for 20 of your maximum health i could see this being very good for diving champions against ad heavy teams the via the jacks will maybe flash on your team and store up all that physical damage on the bleed and then as long as one person gets taken down the damage on the bleed will be removed completely and they will start healing it's a cool concept for bruisers against ad teams but i don't think it will be prioritized anymore and this will not be built by adcs which i guess is a welcome change starik's gauge much like tmat has gotten rid of its class restriction and ranged champions can buy sterics it no longer has its base ad bonus and just gives 50 ad sterics also has a small healing effect for added sustain but the rest of the item is basically the same ravenous hydra after not being prioritized by bruisers for a long time will once again be very powerful as it now gives 20 ability haste and the lifesteal is gone in favor of 15 omnivamp which also means spells this is a hundred percent a riven fiora irelia item and you'll want to build it black cleaver now costs 3300 gold but has been given a new passive in place of the phage effect which is gone when you fully stack the cleaver on enemies and they become shredded your basic attacks and abilities will deal bonus physical damage to their missing health this is great for bruisers to finish off low health enemies and this item will still be bought as much as it is now titanic hydra is our last item that was changed before we get into the mythics it's not just that titanic can be bought by ranged champions it's that atmos is back baby that's right titanic hydra has a new passive to gain bonus a.d equal to one percent of your max health this passive is similar to what used to be on an item called atma's impaler that a lot of veterans will remember and it was so broken that it had to be removed from the game and then riot brought it back now let's move on to the fighter mythic items as a reminder you can only hold one mythic at a time so if you're worried about people stacking these they can't gore drinker is our first mythic and it builds out of comma the new item that has the tiamat active phage and kindle gem for a cost of 3300 gold it gives 45 ad 400 health 15 ability haste and 150 base health regen it has an active called thirsting slash deal physical damage to nearby enemies in a circle heal 20 a.d plus 12 missing health for each champion hit on a 15 second cooldown reduced by ability haste this is a beefed up version of the tmat active and as with the comma active its cooldown is lowered by ability haste it also has a passive very similar to tryndamere's current q passive gain zero to fifteen percent based on your missing health bonus ad finally its mythic bonus which every mythic item has it empowers your legendary items with 5 ability haste and 5 bonus attack damage just in case you missed it or didn't understand by now mythic items are the most powerful items and all of them give some kind of empowering effects to your other legendary items examples of legendary items would be things like death cap black cleaver death dance basically all of the other powerful items that aren't mythics stridebreaker is our next mythic which builds also out of comma gem and kodachi so two new items build into this guy it gives 50 ad 20 attack speed 300 health and 10 ability haste the item passive gives you 20 movement speed on hit and increases to 60 if the unit is killed its active is called swift slash lunge a short distance and deal 110 a.d physical damage to enemies in a circle slowing them by 60 decaying over two seconds on a 20 second cooldown it empowers your other legendary items with also 3 bonus movement speed so i guess in a situation where you thought fiora riven or irelia was just a little bit too easy to get away from now they also have an item that gives them additional mobility and a slow good luck with that divine devour is the third out of fourth mythics for this class it builds out of phage sheen and kindle gem and has 40 ad 400 health and 20 ability haste the spellblade passive is the ideal tank busting item as it does six percent max health damage on the spellblade but it also comes with an additional passive when spellblade hits a champion heal for sixty percent of the damage dealt reduced to forty percent for ranged champions its mythic passive empowers your other legendary items with five percent armor pen this item with everything it gives is just the best one of the bunch the goal is clear this is supposed to be the mythic that gives bruisers everything they want against tanks and then transition into something like black cleaver but this item has so much built into it and the double spellblade passives is just i don't know it's a little crazy trinity force is our final mythic everyone's favorite item in this game it costs a clean 3333 gold it built out of sheen kindle gem and kodachi and its stats are 35 ad 35 attack speed 200 health and 10 ability haste it also has a brand new passive your basic attacks grant you 25 bonus movement speed for 3 seconds and if the target is a champion increase your base ad by 5 for the same duration which stacks up to 5 times for a 30 increase already that part is crazy but of course it still has its spellblade passive which does more than the divine devourer at least by flat numbers this will be better at killing squishies compared to that item but the divine devourer will be better against tanks and it empowers your other legendary items with 15 bonus attack speed it's possible this will be the go-to item for bruisers because 30 increase of attack damage is fantastic but my suspicion is that the healing from divine devour will be way too good however that mythic passive is quite nice 15 attack speed on your legendaries that will help other champions like aurelia a lot let's move on to the marksman now one thing that you should note is that on this tab there are some things that were shared with the fighters like qss or sheen so this section will not include any of the items we've already covered only the new stuff cloak of agility is now only 600 gold but gives 15 crit instead of 20 with so much more crit in the game you'll be buying a lot more of this so just get used to purchasing this quite a bit throughout the game zeal is cheaper and gives more attack speed but only 18 crit chance instead of 25 percent everything else is the same wicked hatchet is actually a returning item that used to be on the twisted tree line press f to pay respects it costs 1300 as an alternative to bf sword only giving 30 a.d but also having 15 attack speed and actually having a real build path of components which bf sword does not wicked hatchet by the way also builds into all three mythic items for adcs so it's something that we really need to talk about here you are not required to have the full 1300 gold on your first base and now you don't necessarily need to rush bf sword this for adc players is a very welcome change and has always been a problem with playing traditional marksman in the bot lane if you do get exactly or close to 1300 gold you're going to be in a great spot on your first recall but if you don't and you're stuck in that very awkward situation of 800 900 or a thousand gold it was always so difficult to play the game and match the enemy 80 carry but because wicked hatchet has real components that you can build into that again is no longer required a very welcome change mortal reminder returns as an adc grievous wounds item only giving 20 ad but it now gives 25 attack speed it also has crit chance and movement speed because it is a zeal item the grievous wounds passive much like all of the other ones in the game now has an additional effect if you can reach it in this case attacking a champion three consecutive times increases the grievous wounds from 40 to 60 percent stormrazer is similar in function but it's just a cheaper item with lower stats honestly i think this is the most underwhelming item on the list so far and i don't really see a situation in which you would build stormrazer anymore but it's possible i could be very wrong i just don't see this being competitive compared to some of the other items essence reaver is now only 2 900 gold and gives 40 ad 20 crit chance and 20 ability haste it's actually a sheen item so instead of giving you mana back on auto attacks it's when you proc the spell blade lucian mains are probably jumping for joy out of their seats right now i mean you can't really come up with a better lucian item this is fantastic phantom dancer now has 40 attack speed but with only 20 crit chance however it has a new passive attacks grand ghosting in seven percent bonus ms for two seconds and then attacking five times also gives you 40 bonus attack speed this is insane because it's a very good almost late game 1v1 adc item that a vane or something like that in a side lane would like after you get some of your other items obviously this probably won't be something that you rush on yasuo or tryndamere or something like that because they already have mythics to consider but i still feel like this will be built in a side lane if you want to be a split pusher maybe even something like a fiora as crazy as that sounds could build this just because it sounds fantastic for 1v1s mercurial is obviously the adc qss item it no longer gives any healing but instead it gives crit which is fantastic for adcs who are sick of playing against mordekaiser lord dominic's is upgraded substantially but at a cost of 3200 gold you get 30 ad 20 crit and 30 armor pen and it also makes you deal zero to 20 based on health difference bonus physical damage obviously you'll build this into tanks hurricane is one of the more expensive items in the game at 3 400 gold with 25 ad 20 crit chance and 7 movement speed it's both passive now also scales its damage from flat 40 up to 70 depending on champion level making this the premiere damage item for adc's late game and this is a must build on all adc's now especially with static shift being gone maybe except for jin bloodthirster is a crit item for 3400 gold but gives far less ad you should also notice that it does give 20 lifesteal and not 20 omni vamp which i thought might originally be changing since omni vamp is much more prevalent now but this is still clearly meant to be just a marksman item so you will not see bruisers build this for example over something like ravenous hydra which will heal you from your spells if you've paid attention to league of legends content in the last couple of weeks you would know that this item nevory quickblade is already causing a massive cry out in the community to say remove it nerf it all that good stuff 3400 gold 60 attack damage 20 crit and 30 ability haste as far as i know that's the most of any ad item feel free to correct me though in the comments down below but i think 30 ability haste is the most i've seen on an aed item but even if it's not it's a lot regardless do you remember spear of sojourn well it is back baby your critical strikes with basic attacks reduce your basic ability cooldowns by 20 of their remaining cooldown the crazy part is that it doesn't have a cooldown to do this unlike spear of sojourn which was based on your ultimate in using your ultimate while it's true that bruisers like riven or jax may not abuse this because it is technically a crit item and is meant to be for adc's like lucian i also think that with the 30 ability haste it might not even matter you could still see rivens running around and crit riven is not a completely new idea i'm not entirely sure regardless this item will probably have to be nerfed and the even crazier part is that it's not even that bad to stack it because 60 ad 20 crit and 30 ability haste are all great stats to have if you want to build five of these you kind of can infinity edge is an iconic adc item and it's the cream of the crop for attack damage as it does retain its 80 ad which again i believe is the most in the game i don't think any other item gives 80 attack damage this item still increases your overall crit damage but it has a new formula you instead gain 0.4 percent bonus critical strike damage for each one percent critical strike chance this means that infinity edge will not be a starting item or even a first or second item and probably will be the best third item for adc's you'll obviously buy your mythic first but then i think you'll end up buying a zeal item into infinity edge that way you can make the most of the new crit damage increase which comes from more crit chance alright lastly for marksman let's talk about their three mythic choices gale force cost 3400 gives 55 ad 20 attack speed and 20 crit chance and it gives you a sort of proto belt level dash to help you dodge skill shots while playing adc this dash also fires a missile that does damage for its mythic bonus it gives your other legendary items three percent bonus movement speed kraken slayer is how marksman will deal with heavy tank comps 3400 gold for 60 ad 25 attack speed and 20 crit chance every third attack deals true damage which also applies on structures you know i'm not too sure why you would ever have to play vayne again or why vayne would even be necessary in the 2021 meta if you can just buy this item it's almost like this item effectively does the only thing that vayne is good for i don't know kind of weird anyway the mythic bonus empowers your legendary items with 10 more bonus attack speed immortal shield bow is our last adc mythic 50 a.d 15 attack speed and 20 crit chance and 12 life steal this is your god mode phantom dancer to deal with talon cool the mythic bonus increases your bonus armor and magic resist allowing you to be even more tanky i've got some good news and some bad news for you the good news is that when we move on to the assassins it won't take too long to go over them because in the fighter in adc section we covered all of the new component items so we can go ahead and move straight to the completed stuff however the bad news is that i'm about to tell you all the ways you're going to get one shot so have fun with that serpent's fang for 2800 gold to give 60 attack damage and 18 lethality it has the same stats as yomus but its passive is very cool in something we haven't seen before deal 300 bonus damage against shields this is so intriguing because it's not a mythic item meaning it will not be the first thing that assassins look to buy but the new adc phantom dancer shield which is on the crimson shield bow item is in fact mythic which means that while both champions are on one item zed will have a more difficult time one-shotting the adc but upon completion of serpent's fang zed talon and rengar will be able to blast right through your immortal shield bow or crimson shield bow whatever the final name is it'll be interesting to see how that interaction plays out based on when people actually purchase their items cyrildo's grudge is a brand new armor pen item for ad casters 3400 gold for 45 attack damage 30 armor pen and 20 ability haste additionally your damaging abilities slow affected enemies by thirty percent for one second a rylies and armor pen item for bruisers and assassins kinda weird uh not too sure how i feel about that for the assassin mythics let's start with duskblade it's 3200 gold for 55 attack damage 18 lethality and 25 ability haste the passive attacking an enemy champion deals 50 to 150 bonus physical damage and slows them by 99 for a quarter second champion takedowns within three seconds reset this effects cooldown and grants you invisibility for 1.5 seconds it also empowers your legendary items with five ability haste well it's the same as the old dust blade from season seven but it also has a kha'zix alt as a passive yeah that is really strong to say the least it makes me feel like hyper assassins are just going to get a free pentakill when ahead i understand adcs have the immortal shield bow the crimson shield bow i understand that supports in tanks will be strong and i know it's not even a master yi item but what if he built it i mean would he alpha strike and just stealth on reset i don't know honestly it's gonna take probably a long time for us to figure out if this just changes the meta entirely i understand that things are different but this just i don't know that's crazy if you thought that was crazy maybe even eclipse which is the second assassin mythic is even better 3200 gold 55ad 18 lethality and 10 omni vamp the passive hitting a champion with two separate attacks or abilities within one and a half seconds deals bonus physical damage equal to 16 of their maximum health and then grants you 30 percent bonus movement speed and a shield reduced a little bit for ranged champions and it also empowers your other legendary items with five percent armor pen you know when i said just about 20 seconds ago i'm not sure what to say about duskblade yeah i'm not too sure what to say about this either you get a phase rush you get increased damage and a shield on a 6 second cooldown and the item also has 10 omni vamp on it okay all right because the other two mythics dustblade and eclipse have the most insane passives i've ever read obviously prowler's claw would never be viable unless it has really good stats and thankfully it does it comes with 65 ad and 21 lethality the most of those three items and it also has 10 ability haste the active gives you a dash through the enemy target dealing damage and reducing their armor by 30 for 3 seconds on a 60 second cooldown it also empowers your other legendary items with 6 lethality i could see somebody putting up a reasonable argument to say that this item is not as bad compared to the other two it does give the most lethality by far considering it gives 21 but also its mythic passive gives six lethality to all of your other legendary items so a champion like jace for example could get upwards of like a hundred lethality with a prowler's claw setup on top of that with the dash reducing their armor by 30 for three seconds that's great against tanks so again something like a jace in a side lane could work with this i just really have to think logically about the other two being so overloaded and so strong i just don't know if it would ever be worth it to buy this one maybe if you're against a full tank comp but even then eclipse is passive gives you max health damage alright let's move on to the mages there's technically one basic item we haven't yet covered which is the fairy charm fairy charm is double the cost but double its mana regen as well this is a fantastic quality of life change because now being 250 gold you get the same effect as buying two fairy charms but it only takes up one inventory slot very nice quality of life change for supports and you definitely should be looking to do that you can buy yourself a fairy charm and a ward and it's only going to be two inventory slots oblivion orb is finally a proper solution for mages to buy grievous wounds 800 gold and you get 30 ap you're no longer required to complete a full marella nomicon fantastic seeker's armguard has historically been a great counter for mages into ad assassins in the mid lane but if you've noticed in the last couple of years it's been more and more rare for mages to get the item because the 1100 gold price point was almost as much as you would pay for the full lost chapter anyway which is a core part of your build and builds into your first item such as luden's or glp now it's only 900 gold and gives more ability power up front but the item only starts with 15 armor but once you kill 30 units you end up getting the full 45 armor which is the same as before this change makes perfect sense to me considering how strong assassins are going to be with their mythic items and you probably should never skip out on this item now if you're playing ari vs zed spell shroud is a new item to be the counter to ap champions very similar that seekers is a counter to ad champions it costs 1200 gold and eventually will build into your banshee's veil for 25 ap and 25 mr and its passive is along the same lines as seekers every 60 seconds you gain three bonus magic resistance stacking up to five times taking magic damage from champions reduces the time it takes to gain magic resistance equal to five percent of the damage taken in seconds you know what it sounds way more complicated than it is i'm not sure why it's a whole paragraph basically just like seekers you'll gain magic resistance over the course of a couple minutes up to 15 more mr void crystal is a new item that helps close the gap between the power levels that you get from void staff completion and the components right now on live there's an issue where the components of void are way less powerful than the completion of the item if you need magic penetration badly against a super tanky composition unfortunately your blasting wand and amp tome don't really help you out at all for 1250 gold you now get 25 ap and 15 matched pen from the void crystal again helping close the gap between that massive power trough where you're just finally waiting to complete the void staff by the way you cannot build void staff and then an additional void crystal for like 55 pen although that would be a funny oversight catalyst now costs 1300 gold and gives 150 health 20 ap and 10 omni vamp this is interesting to me as mages finally have a way to get basic levels of healing similar to how ad champions have always had a vamp scepter if they needed some healing before they could just sit on something like that morellonomicon is the completed anti-healing item for mages at only 2500 gold it serves its direct and main purpose to counter healing no more flat penetration nothing else like that it's just straight up your anti-healing item archangels is not one of the mage mythic items instead its true and only purpose is damage and mana with no ability haste it's been compensated by being much cheaper and the serif's upgrade is pretty strong both passives on the serifs will increase damage output massively however there's one thing that's really important to know there is no more serifs active shield and for that main reason i believe that serifs and archangels are slightly underpowered and will probably need a buff i think that mana users even though tier is now a starting item have been slightly nerfed due to some of these new changes nasher's is now strictly an ap attack speed item with no cdr but it gives 100 ap diana will really like this we finally reach my new favorite change for all of season 11. horizon focus is an item made for long range mages which is such a cool concept 3000 gold 100 ap and a passive that says damaging an enemy champion with an ability more than 750 units away or immobilizing them reveals the target and increases your damage dealt by 15 for 6 seconds it says that it still applies on immobilizing effects meaning that veigar could cage you from close range and then get fifteen percent more damage but it's probably still a great vel'koz xerath or lux item just so you know as a reference this is how far 750 range is to get an idea of how far away you need to be in order to proc the item a lot of players have already said that this item is pretty op so we'll have to see how cosmic drive comes to the live servers right now it's 3k gold 60 ap 200 health and a whopping 30 ability haste the passive is dealing damage with abilities grants bonus movement speed for 4 seconds that scales with your ability haste basically late game this is a way for mages and ap assassins to kite around and chase you down i've personally seen katarina use this to pretty much be unstoppable demonic embrace is a battle mage item that swain and silas will love 3 000 gold for 80 ability power and 400 health with a similar passive to the old liandrys in addition you'll gain resistances when the enemies are burning from the passive at the time of recording there's no picture for the item and it was removed from the pbe for a little bit which is slightly weird but i haven't read anything that says it's not here to stay i am sure that it will come back death cap is now the most expensive item in the game at 3 800 gold more than any mythic item as well the passive has even been nerfed by 10 percent now only giving 30 total ap this is a pretty big hit to the item but you have to think about it it still makes sense considering all of the new 100 ap items you can buy and with mythic passives giving you ap on your legendaries i think the deathcap will still likely be prioritized heavily and still should make it into your final build it's just kind of interesting that it still costs so much at 3800 gold for whatever reason mages have by far the most mythic items to pick from with 6 different mythic items hextech rocket belt is an upgraded proto belt for 3200 gold after using the dash you also get a burst of movement speed and it also gives five flat magic pen on your other legendaries probably the exact same champions that take proto belt will go for it as well with this new rocket belt and looks like echo is going to be moving at the speed of light axamux folly is the reworked rod of ages 80 ability power 150 health 15 ability haste and 10 omni vamp this serves as a replacement for gunblade's healing in some ways since gunblade has been removed from the game but it's still quite different the passive is unbelievably strong right there in line with the assassin passives you'll recognize it from the currently andre's passive except for the fact that when fully stacked 100 of the increased damage will be converted into true damage yeah you read that correctly the mythic also empowers your other legendary items with five percent magic pen night harvester was one of those items that i thought would be kind of bad on paper and when i read over it i thought okay it's not going to be that good but then in practice i realized i was completely wrong i saw katarina and nidalee use it pretty successfully it has 80 ability power 250 health and 15 ability haste the passive says damaging an enemy champion deals magic damage and grants you 25 bonus movement speed for 1.5 seconds but the catch is that the cooldown is per champion it's not a flat cooldown and because of that katarina in a skirmish when she can get a reset and focus three or four different champions or team fights where you can continually proc the movement speed makes it very strong and so don't sleep on this item i think it's pretty good it also empowers your other legendaries with 5 ability haste leandre's anguish is now a mana item that builds out of lost chapter and is a tank-busting mythic spells cause the enemies to burn for their maximum health over 4 seconds reducing their mr as well up to 25 reduced magic resistance and the mythic passive empowers your legendary items with 5 ability haste obviously you'll like this on swain but maybe even some low range mages because it's a mana item potentially something like ryze if it's a super tanky enemy composition luden's tempest is mostly what you would expect it has 10 ability haste but it also does get 10 flat magic pen and the luden's proc is still there but upon using it you also now get movement speed and it also grants you 5 magic pen on your legendary items everfrost is the replacement for glp and like we said earlier is just more powerful in every single way the active shoots out a cone slowing enemies by 65 but then enemies in the center of the cone are rooted instead the mythic passive also gives your legendaries 15 more ap this is just the most veigar item i have ever read and i even personally tested it because i've been a vegar main this season yeah i mean you just throw out the everfrost and they get rooted and then you drop the cage on them i don't know they literally they just designed an item for vegar for all the tank players out there remember that they will share quite a few items with the fighters so for some of the new tank items make sure you go check out the fighter section of this video in case you missed it knight's vow no longer gives any armor but it's more or less the same item just slightly buffed up so it will still be built zeke's has always been a good support item but the problem is that it felt a little bit awkward to use based on your ultimate the thing is sometimes you wouldn't need to use your ultimate in a fight maybe let's say the fight went very well and you could have wanted the extra damage but again maybe you didn't need to use your ultimate now it gives health but not magic resist and also gives 20 ability haste and the passive will activate on immobilizing or crowd controlling a target a very nice change because you will always be doing that as a support throughout the game and again you may not always need to use your ultimate abyssal mask doesn't give any ability haste but the passive that reduces resistances now also reduces armor and mr upon immobilizing an enemy this is a fantastic tank initiation item champions like malphite that can engage and all of his teammates will start dealing more damage sounds like a great option for him it's also quite cheap at 2700 gold thornmail is basically the same item it just doesn't slow attack speed anymore frozen heart and randuins omen are the main items dedicated to slowing attack speed of your enemies and reducing their damage as they build out of the new wardens mail both do relatively similar stuff to the live server spirit visage now increases the healing and the shielding that you get so for any tanks that have some kind of shield and the new gargoyle stone plate which we'll get to in a second will just be all the more effective dead man's plate gives seven percent flat movement speed and builds out of the new eternal drive an excellent item for tanks that like to move fast like hecarim singed or maokai force of nature is another item that has returned to the game at long last one of the very first op tank items that started a tank meta way back in the day it's kind of the magic resist equivalent of dead man's and also grants 7 percent movement speed its stacking passive helps tanks deal with consistent magic damage as well warmogs is now 3000 gold and it also has the best updated icon by far i mean man look how good that looks nice job right this is my favorite for sure i'm also a pretty big fan of the stone plate icon it's been reworked to give you 15 ability haste and it now builds out of aegis it no longer has a stopwatch in its component but it's the ultimate tank item the active gives you a shield i'm such a fan of this because it adds a lot of skill expression to the tank class and it allows tanks to specifically and actively try to shield something let's say like a syndra ultimate or a caitlyn ultimate so that they don't die tanks usually have a problem where they're just big stat beef balls that use their abilities off cooldown as much as they can but because this now gives them some way to actively try and impact themselves actively try and tank more stuff i'm a huge proponent of this alright on to the mythics for tanks locket is a returning and iconic item in this game and is pretty much a tank and a support mythic at the same time you'll probably see both classes of champions looking to build it it has everything that you would expect on top of having 25 ability haste the shield active is still there but it also gets its famous aura back from the very early seasons of league nearby allied champions will gain 5 armor and magic resist the mythic bonus also gives your other legendaries extra bonuses for the locket aura increasing the stats by two armor and two mr for the rest of the tank mythics they've basically split sunfire cape into three different items and they all have slightly different functionality the first one is sunborn aegis which builds out of bomies and aegis for 3200 gold it has 450 health 30 armor 30 mr and 15 ability haste the immolate passive is the most buffed up version of the three and is basically just god mode sunfire cape that you know and love right now and the mythic passive also empowers your other legendaries with five ability haste frostfire gauntlet is kind of a combination of sunfire cape and iceborn gauntlet but note that this is not a sheen item instead it gives a little bit of extra sunfire damage and then your attacks create a frost field that slows enemies which scales with your bonus health in addition the mythic empower gives your legendary items 100 more health and 7.5 increase size so yes you can be huge now thanks right i mean okay i like being huge on tanks it's kind of fun it's true that some tanks maybe could build a fighter mythic or maybe could build a support mythic if you wanted to go for that route but berserker suit is the last true tank mythic and it's a combination of righteous glory and sunfire cape it builds out of bomby cinder and has the righteous glory active which has also been buffed up and the mythic empower increases your items with five percent tenacity and slow resistance i guess this is what you'll build if it's a full ap team considering it gives 50 mr the only problem that i have with this item is that i still just feel like the other two are a little bit better and in my testing and playing around with this slightly it does feel a little underwhelming i'll say but again if they're full ap or you really like to engage on like a maokai maybe even a garen if you like to go fast i'm not really sure you could still build this if you wanted to alright guys our final section the support section you should know that if you play things like brahms support or zyra support i've already probably covered a lot of the items that you would want to build so make sure you check out the mage and tank section of this video if you haven't done so already if you just skip to the time stamp you should really check out those sections because you'll probably feel like there's not that many items but supports just share a lot of items with mages and tanks mystic glass is a new support item that gives 15 ability haste and 100 base mana regen this is a great early game enchanter item that just lets you have your janna shield up more often and not really run out of mana so you know how when you play support during the late game there always tends to be this problem where you need to buy more wards but you run out of inventory space ancient runestone is finally the solution to that it's made to be for the late game considering you must be at least level 13 to even buy the item it costs 1100 gold at first and then the item can store three control wards for you the item will then upgrade after placing a sort of high amount 20 wards it seems a little bit extreme to me but anyway yeah it upgrades after you place 20 wards the upgrade ixtali wardstone does not cost you any more gold and it gives you 25 ability haste and it then increases the cap on your wards it lets you have one more regular ward on the map and one more control ward by the way once you have the upgrade and you did place those 20 wards to get the ixtali wardstone you can then spend an additional 1200 gold for a total of 2300 gold at the end of the game for the final upgrade the xtali wartstone upgrade gives you a massive 40 ability haste and 10 movement speed this is a very cool concept that will probably have to be nerfed for pro play but again as usual won't make much noise in solo queue i doubt that a lot of solo queue supports will get to that third upgrade if anything they'll just buy the first one and place their 20 wards i also think the level 13 uh minimum level requirement to even buy the first version is a little too high i'd probably like to see that around maybe level 11 or even level 12. it just feels really late game for supports to hit level 13. chemtech fumigator is a very cheap option for supports to actually get grievous wounds 2300 gold and it even gives ability haste whereas morello does not give ability haste so maybe there's a chance that mid lane mages especially something like a lux would look to build this instead of morelos and she doesn't really care about the health too much from morello staff of flowing water is a returning item that used to be in the black market brawler's alternate game mode it's 2300 gold for 60 ap and 15 heal and shield power and 150 base mana regen the cool thing here is that this is an option for enchanters that's not arden sensor healing or shielding an ally grants you and them bonus movement speed and ability power for three seconds this is awesome because it opens up diversity in the bottom lane which we already see with mages going down there sometimes it goes without saying that art and sensor is not what you want to build if your bot lane carry is a karthus or a veigar but now you have a real way to buff them up just like you would buff up your traditional marksman there's a good chance that this could be op but regardless i love the concept because it helps the diversity of the game and of the role and it's not like traditional marksmen haven't become stronger because of the new items just like pretty much every other role has there's way more crit in the game they have a pretty good mythics if you ask me with the shield bow and the gale force and all that kind of stuff so you know it really just depends we'll see how this goes maybe it's going to be a lot of karthus versus traditional adcs which is kind of cool all right and the final three items supports have three unique mythics that i didn't cover with mages or tanks shirelia's battle song is a buffed up version of shirellius that we have right now it builds out of eternal drive in kindle gem for 2600 gold it gives 10 flat movement speed and 25 ability haste the active grants you the shirelli is active which not only now increases everyone's movement speed but also grants bonus damage on the next three attacks great engaged support item but the stats do seem a little lackluster i'm sure that recon would still want to build this but again i don't know the stats feel a little bit lower than they should it should probably give 30 ability haste if they want it to be super competitive by the way the mythic also increases bonus movement speed on your legendaries so rakan is going to be a very speedy boy moonstone renewer is another support item that i absolutely love it gives 150 health 25 ability haste and 100 base mana regen the passive is like a laundry's but instead of dealing more damage and stacking up tons of damage it heals your ally with the most missing health and in combat this begins to stack up quite a bit it also empowers your other legendaries with more haste this is so cool because it's a sona soraka lulu item but maybe even something like a zyra if you wanted to be more supportive it's a sustained item for allies that will ramp up over a team fight and the cool thing is that it doesn't make you sacrifice that fantasy that you want on mage supports zyra can still get in there use your spells deal damage do everything that she wants to do but you are playing a mage support that actually has healing and utility rather than just raw damage very cool concept i hope it's not super overpowered or super underpowered and this can be you know utilized correctly imperial mandate is our final item 40 ap 200 health 25 ability haste and 100 mana regen the passive is something that enchanters and tanks will both favor if they like to play aggressively basically when you play something like a janna if you hit a q if you slow them with w or you knock them back with your ultimate it will mark the enemy and then your adc starts dealing bonus damage to them and grants to both of you movement speed this is good for chasing and disengaging and if you want to engage as well on something like a brahm it's also going to work quite nicely it also empowers your other legendary items with 15 ability power the last thing i want to say is that i'll probably have to make a part two for this video to go over jungle changes champion changes and some of the rune changes because right now riot removed the preseason from the pbe and it's not coming back for a couple of days so i haven't had a chance to play test some of the jungle changes the victor and katarina mini rework and stuff like that so that'll probably come in another video anyway if you made it this far into the video and you went over all the item changes with me let me know what you think i'm down to hear anything that you guys have to say thank you so much for watching and i'll see you guys in league of legends 2.0 you
