Laura Heine Collage Trunk Show

yeah just sit there and smile oh i got it well it's a whimsical what's on your scarf postcard postcards yeah i got this in a bicycle and oh that's pretty i know i noticed your scarf it was like oh my gosh that would be adorable i got it um over in a mana colonies so i looked for my jellyfish scarf this morning and i couldn't find it so okay i'm just gonna start talking okay so there is nine people on and more coming so hi everybody hi you guys okay so i just decided to do an impromptu live here and do a little trunk show from our laura heine collage class so i'm going to show you some of our teachers samples and i would show you mine i'm working on the jellyfish but um no i'm not very far along but eventually you guys will see it hanging in the shop so that'll be fun so i'm just going to go through some of these um we if we don't have the pattern we can get it we will also be setting up some of these classes again after the first of the year so again hopefully then it'll be somewhat back to normal but if it's not we are doing the social distancing and all that good stuff so nothing to worry about everybody's having a blast here so here we go and everybody send us a comment or a wave our heart um to let us know you're there and that you're having fun yeah and you can you don't just have to do that once if you see a collage that you really really like just give it a heart give it a thumbs up whatever you want to do as i'm showing them so this is the angel and in the angel pattern you get um you can make the big one or you can make a smaller one they are both in the pattern so pat says hi hi pat and margaret um is her first time watching and she says the angel is beautiful and it is it is yes hi margaret welcome so this is a fun one too okay let me back up a second yeah that's one of my favorites and so this is the beauty of the collages you can do these however you want i mean really the pattern is kind of a jumping off point for you so you may pick this pattern you may pick the angel pattern when you come to a class but yours is going to look completely different because you're going to set it up and use fabrics that you like and tweak it in different ways let me just get up close here so you can see all the details in there isn't that adorable a little bike in the ice cream shop and val is on val says hi hi val and angie says fun class yes and make sure you guys share the video too we would love it if you shared with your friends so everybody could see it lucy says cute it is cute that's us that's the slop do you have the upside down what [Laughter] you know i'm not gonna do a live without doing something weird okay okay they hang upside down there you go oh my gosh that's fun margaret we are in ellsworth iowa so it's about central iowa um right off the interstate 35 now if this sample goes missing oh my gosh that is gorgeous i love that so that is um part of the beauty of these collages too you can um piece your background or you can find just one nice piece that's gonna work for it and you don't have to piece your background that way and you can add i mean in this end um i don't know if you can see it close up they've added the stitches for the little bubbles in the water so you can adorable is this stitches no that's the fabric that's the fabric and then just these stitches here and then the little bubble stitches oh margaret we're not too far from webster city so yeah oh my gosh yes she doesn't live there now but that's where she used to live oh well yeah no we're not far at all from webster city yeah so i love this and we all know i would with my ocean obsession now erin made this one not this particular one but she made this one when she took the class i did it was fun i love halloween so who out there that's watching right now has made a collage or wants to make a collage and then this is the small angel so you could do either and look at the detail just different ways of cutting fabric to get that look but if it does just press it again and sometimes you can get warm enough with your hands um but just give it another question you've made ten wow is it cindy or do you go by cynthia but that's amazing [Music] i think you just get addicted you do it's just something different and so that is the beauty of this class too guys you don't have to bring a sewing machine no sewing machine at this class isn't that fantastic um and so then these are some of the smaller ones and if you're familiar with her patterns you can buy the patterns that you get three small ones if you don't want to do a large one and how cute would those be in your sewing room just a couple more of the small ones i didn't show all of her she does this nice trunk show at the class lori does our instructor and i so i'm not showing all of hers but she's always working on them and bringing different ones to class so it's fun to see which ones are these oh i've seen this one made a lot so this one is done using the small strips opposed to the bigger the bigger that you cut the pieces the bigger pieces yeah so go back to the cow so these are strips and then you put them back together isn't that cool val would love to have you come next year to a class yes and so then this is just kind of embellished with the butterflies here and oh gosh you can just go crazy i wonder honestly how do you decide when it's done you just know it's done because i could just keep you just have to stop you just have to stop really like okay that's enough i gotta stop although birch street was like weeks ago there's so much yes i can imagine you just want to keep yeah so the b uh i've seen the b done in the bigger ones i think most the classes we've had has been the bigger b yeah the big ones but how cool is that so oh we're gonna answer a question um well i was just gonna say misty um we're gonna have classes again next year so if you're close by or we have a bed and breakfast or we don't there is a bed and breakfast next door um so get online or give us a call and we'll get that figured out for you yeah so um yes if you call the shop 515-836-4280 we can hook you up with the bed and breakfast we'll give you the number and um it's just fifty dollars a night and she serves you an awesome breakfast the next morning before class so um a lot of my teachers stay down there and then students who are coming from any distance so that's all i really wanted to show you guys just wanted to pop in in the middle of class and show you those and we will get classes on the calendar and at any time you can go to
