it's like you would get bored if you just stay in your comfort zone. So like, I think a lot of
people was like shocked by me choosing that type of beat, or like singing on the record. But like, somebody like me, I don't put no ceiling over myself, you know what I'm sayin'? I don't stay in no box. I wanna try every genre,
every flow, every BPM, everything, I wanna try it. Whether or not the shit sound good, whether or not y'all ever
hear it, I'm gon' try it. I was recording in L.A. and we was just like trying
to finish up the album, just pulling up beats, ideas. I guess they had this little debate whether or not they was
gon' play this beat for me. They was like, "It's a little different, I don't know if you gon' like it." I'm like, "Bruh, just play
the beat, just play the beat." They played the beat, loved the beat. A year later, six months
later, something like that, shit top 40, so you know what I'm sayin'? God work in mysterious ways. When we in the world it's like, "Fuck these niggas, I
don't need these niggas, I'm an independent bitch," da-da-da. But it's like, niggas wanna feel good too. Like they wanna bump the female shit, but they don't feel
right bumping some shit when you saying fuck them,

saying in the studio I wanna be like on some like trap, cater to you type

to like get the females to understand that big

me writing no cap in my rap. For me, karaoke, baby, anything Monica. Baby, go in the club, Moe, yeah, Big Moe. Anything, Keyshia Cole. Baby, we love 'dem hood bitches that sang. Not sing, sang. I wanted the pre-chorus to be something like that all the girls gon' wanna sing. Like they wanna scream
at the top of they lungs. 'Cause I was really screaming at the top of my lungs in the booth. Like I felt that shit. When you value yourself
you can't just give this pimpin' away like that, da fuck? Ain't too many of y'all can handle me. And I know that, and you know
that, these niggas know that. So when you carry yourself
like a boss bitch, you gon' attract boss niggas. Big energy is like it's
in you, not on you. You can't wear big energy, you just gotta be born with that shit. When you act like you are that, people gon' treat you like that. When you walk in wit' your head up high, you ain't looking at the ground, you walking in with confidence, you talking with confidence. I'm trying to put the girls
on game, like free game. Like, "Baby, let me show
you how to learn this shit." I think I wanted to still keep
that like spiciness to it. I didn't want it to be too PG, 'cause they know Latto ain't even PG. She's a spicy girl, sss. I wanted to like wrap up that same concept that like being a boss bitch don't mean like shittin'
on niggas all the time. It's like you can be a boss bitch and, you know, whether you single, whether you got a nigga, whatever, it's like I could still
be a boss at both times. Like I can be a boss
and cater to my nigga. I can be a boss when I'm
single and shittin' on niggas. So the second pre-hook I
wanted to like switch it up. Keep the same concept, but like switch up a
little bars here and there. And then you know me, baby,
Big Latto, big punchlines. I had to sneak in around a little bars, you know what I'm sayin'? This go 'round, we said "If you ever see me broke, I'm probably rockin' a cast," 'cause, baby, who broke? I been rappin' since
I was eight years old, so this stuff that like eight
year-old me dreamt about. Like top 40 is next level. I really wrote that down for my 2022 goals and I just posted it on Instagram. So, yeah, we gettin'
