Largest SuperYacht - Crew Dismissed | Plus More Seized Yachts

this is superyacht news with "eSysman" 2 superyachts arrested and detained in Italy  hi guys welcome back to the channel uh welcome   back to a very busy news day i just want to say  quickly before we get into it welcome to all the   new subscribers - we've got a lot of new viewers  and very thankful for you for subscribing   and we've got a lot of news to go  through so i just wanted to say thanks anyway   so let's get going the first thing is this is  according to reuters uh italy has arrested or   confiscated 2 yachts owned by Russians because of eu sanctions but the first boat is   a boat called "Lady M" as you can see here it's a  65 meter or 213 foot Palmer Johnson built in 2019   this vessel is owned by Alexei Mordechov now  a few people sent me links up also i want to   thank everybody who sent me links i've had  i've been inundated with information which   has been fantastic thanks for everyone who send me  through the data i appreciate all of it i'm sorry   i can't read out everybody's names but i really  appreciate that um Alexei Mordechoff owns   2 boats which we'll get into in a minute  but this vessel is worth about 27 million dollars   and it's been confiscated according to this  report Mordechoff yacht ranks first in "Forbes"   amongst Russian billionaires with a net worth  of 29 billion dollars in a statement Mordechoff   said "i have absolutely nothing to do with the  current geopolitical tensions i don't understand   why sanctions have been imposed against us" he  said in a statement on Tuesday reported by "Forbes"   but what is interesting about that statement is  he did not mention the Ukraine invasion or   Russia 's involvement in that  directly he just said geopolitical tensions the boat as i said is a 65 meter or 213 foot  boat now if you're thinking that's a small boat   for a man who's worth 29 billion dollars maybe  you're right because he just took delivery in   2021 of another super yacht called m/y Nord  this boat is 141 meters long or 464 feet and it   has a gross tonnage of 10,000 gross tons she's  out of reach right now of UK sanctions that is   because she's in the Seychelles - if  you don't know where that is -that's an island off   the east coast of Africa the second boat that was  arrested was reported to also be in "Imperia"   but is actually berthed in San Remo in  Italy according to "AIS" this is "m/y Lane"   and it's a 38 meter or 126 foot boat built by  San Lorenzo in 2010 and the yacht belongs to   "Gennady Tinchenko" who's another Russian  with close ties to president Putin and this   vessel has been arrested which means it's been  detained and it's going to be confiscated soon   according to the report so one yacht that is not  yet arrested is a yacht called "motor yacht Aurora "  she is currently in dry dock in Barcelona and  according to a source close to the vessel is   hastily preparing to leave "Aurora" was delivered  in 2017 and is valued at an estimated 120 million   dollars "Aurora" is owned by "Andrei Molchenov" he  owns a controlling stake in the ISR group which   is the biggest producer of construction materials  in Russia it should be noted he is not currently   on the EU sanctions list however the hasty  preparation may be a sign that he's worried right   so you can see here on the screen here for  the last known position on AIS as she's been in   dry stock in Barcelona for some time and  "AIS" is often switched off during refits   okay so the main story is about Dilbar so  we've been talking about "Dilbar" in the last   few days if you don't know what "Dilbar" is if you  knew "Dilbar" is the largest superyacht in the world   by volume and it dwarfs every  other vessel around it- it's quite a thing to see   in real life actually -firstly some of the this  is some excellent detective work from one of my   subscribers he sent me information that you're  seeing on the screen right now that shows you that   Usmanov's 2 helicopters and his private  airbus a340 plane which is massive we're all   all registered with the Isle of  Man they've all been in the last   day they've all been de-registered now what does  that mean that basically means that it can no   longer legally fly those aircraft and they were  deregistered like i said on the 3rd of March   which was yesterday- as i film this -his airbus  A340 is one of the largest privately owned   aircraft in the world so you remember you might  remember that i made um a video saying that the   boat was seized and then i and then i said that  the boat wasn't seized but it had been arrested   it's a bit of a gray area and somebody very put  in a very good statement in the comments section   that was explaining how the word seized in german  has different ramifications but effectively the   vessel is arrested and is unable to leave  and unable to operate as we're going to go into   right now so according to a source close to the  vessel because of the sanctions placed against   Mr. Usmanov many of the companies that supply and  support the vessel have stopped doing business   with the boat because of this all the crew that  work for the boat will have their employment   contracts terminated from what i understand  the company that manages the boat cannot even   pay their final salaries and any unpaid leave  they might have earned what does this mean for the   vessel's immediate future well you can't leave a  vessel especially on this side you can't leave it   unmanned so most likely scenario will be  that they will employ a small caretaker crew   to look after the vessel- technically  it's at Bloom and Voss but Bloom and Voss is owned   by Lürssen now and Lürssen built this boat  so it's quite possible that Lürssen could   look after it themselves but it's unlikely  that that will happen most likely scenario   is that some of the crew that have just been  terminated will be rehired most certainly at a   different rate of pay to look after the vessel  until this is all resolved you may not feel   very sorry for the crew of this boat because  because of who you know the boat belongs to uh   but you know these people are professional  seamen just like myself just there to do a job   just in the same way that if you think  about Roman Abramovich owns Chelsea   football club right and all of those players that  play for Chelsea who are worshipped by their fans   they all work for Abramovic as well and  all the people who go to watch the games   they all pay money to Abramovic to watch  that game right all the people who work at the   club and all the businesses they're just regular  people, like me who are trying to make a living so   you know it's very disappointing to hear that i  mean and that boat has a crew of 80 to 90 people   plus the people who are on rotation so i say  more likely 140 and 150 people have just all   been told that they don't have a job anymore  so for me as a as a maritime professional   that is quite a sad state of affairs i recognize  why it's happening and i recognize that this is   going to happen to a lot of people a lot of people  in my industry are going to be affected by this   so yeah i just wanted to point  that out there's a lot of   very anti-russian sentiment in the comments right  now and i understand why that is but just remember   that not every Russian supports what's going on in  Ukraine right now there's demonstrations in Russia   by people who are told that if they demonstrate  they will be arrested and put in prison and now   Putin said that he will send those people  to the front line to fight as well so   yeah not everybody's for this war anyway  guys i'm going to wrap it up here big news day   let me know what you think in the
