Largest Film Collection? 15,000 Movies. DVD's/Blu-ray's., Etc...

well out there this is a video of my film collection people have been nagging me for years to make a video and upload it so this is the silent all of them I'll do a quick tour of what I have for those who are curious and then do a more in-depth analysis for those who are interested to see what I actually have can we go so it covers the whole second floor of my house they are in alphabetical order starting with numbers I have a total of around 15,000 altogether there's about 8,500 DVDs 2500 VHS and about 4000 blu-rays and the odd HD in a couple laser discs there these are the ones that don't fit on the shelves specifically I've been collecting since 1992 got my first movie for Christmas Batman Returns on VHS and I think like than ever since at a phase where I collected McFarland ties they look good just filling out the shelves so that's the tour so more in-depth look I guess I got TV shows I'm not going to go through the whole alphabetical list but I'll just quit perusal here these were not from a video store per se I collected them some yes secondhand through video stores but I never bought out like some you know like clearance wholesale or some something like that just been collecting since I was a kid obviously and just love movies love watching them no I have not watched every single movie here I I've watched all the the most important ones these here I guess would be for the real cinephiles out there the criterion collection here I have about 400 of them they're all either brand new or like new some are still sealed and I think I've seen anybody else's collection a criterion as as large as mine I'm sure there are out there but I've never seen one be curious to see if somebody else actually has every single one of them I have them all in a spine number in order just some other titles here this is my dragon dynasty collection there in numerical order great series of martial-arts films it's too bad that they discontinued them for those curious as to why some of these VHS hang down like they do when I bought this house the ceiling kind of looked even but it's even and some parts of the room and uneven in other parts of the room so it ranges from about seven feet to six feet nine inches and when I made these shelves they were from my previous home so I ended up having to adjust them all for this room to make them all fit big James Bond fan here I got them all from VHS to DVD to rain then some Lord of the Rings obviously Jurassic Park in particular is my favorite as you can see I'm uh in particular like to collect the collector's editions these box sets here these ones I think are the most interesting kind of cool little stuff that they come with most of these are actually still sealed just love movies collecting as a hobby watching them just to kill time for most of the VHS that I have I've got all the DVD or blu-ray equivalents anything worth really upgrading of I pretty much have and I do go to the movies I do go to the theater I never rent there's no point for Star Trek fans out there it's not complete but it's pretty extensive it's quite a few Star Wars but all the movies and some of the shows I don't sell these I keep them just for my own personal collection I don't loan them out either that's how you never see your stuff again when people borrow stuff and they don't treat it with the same respect that you do so it's best just to avoid it altogether and just say no sorry don't loan them out to nobody mm-hmm and so there it is that's that's it I just sort of threw the posters on the wall to make the room look fuller and as of this video I'm sure I will end up adding more as I always do so there it is that's my collection hey if you have a big collection of your own men posted I'd be curious to see somebody else's hopefully they have a bigger one than mine some to impress me like mine has sort of impressed others and yeah there it is so for all the folks you keep telling me to make a video there it is you can leave me alone have a nice day
