hey guys hope you're having a great day today today is wednesday happy wednesday morning to you i hope that your day is going well today is going to be a large family baking day so we haven't done this for about two weeks and i'm like we need to make some treats again and so i bought these big giant cake mix boxes at the discount store and i'm like i've been looking up a couple different recipes to make and we're just gonna make some delicious things for our family so let's get into baking all right first thing we're gonna mix up is the pistachio cake so i had to like look up and see like this is a lot of cake mix in here and i was trying i'm like maybe i'll mix up more than i need okay so i had to google how much cake mix is in a regular sized cake box so it said it says three three and a half cups of mix in a regular so i was like okay so i'm gonna put this in my bowl here and do the recipe after the recipe on the screen i'm gonna do but this is a lot of cake for two dollars this is a really good deal let's mix up pistachio cake for the bun to pan we're gonna bake it in a 350 degree oven for 30 to 40 minutes now i have been like known for not setting my timer and i just check it and i've also been known for burning many things so i'm learning as i get older set the timer on your oven it will save you a whole lot especially when you're busy doing other things okay so the pistachio cake is in the oven so now we're gonna mix up another cake the theme is gonna be cake mix because i'm trying to use up this cake mix i have so i'm gonna make a honey bun cake who remembers honey buns when they grew up like eating them growing up remember the i don't even know who makes it but the little cinnamon honey bun and then like the piece of powdered sugar topping you can literally just peel it off that's yeah i know probably not very good but i remember peeling it off as a kid and eating it and then eating the drier you know cinnamon bun but this is where the the flavor inspiration comes from i don't know if that's good or not but i promise you this cake is good this was from a friend of mine um in our home school group summer she made this and she said it's really really good cake and so i've made it i'm like this is delicious so i'm gonna mix it up you do it and you mix up the cake mix and then you'll put half the batter in a pan and then we're gonna put a brown sugar mixture in the middle and then put the other half and then bake it and then cover it with that good powdered sugar topping we won't be able to peel it off like you did the the convenience food at the store but you know it'll taste really really good so let's mix up it in our mixing bowl we're just going to add that little bit of extra in there because you know always gather up your fragrance it's just like another tablespoon in there kind of an odd ingredient to the cake but it makes it taste really good now you can add pecans to this i'm just not gonna add any nuts to this mixture just to make it so everybody enjoys it okay another thing i'm gonna make is some cake mix cookies a lot of you guys told me i can do cake mix with and make cookies out of it so we're gonna do that with the rest of this and i got some sprinkles here at the dollar store so we're going to mix it up in the bowl i'll put the recipe on the screen instead of sprinkles you can add one cup of chocolate chips or m m's to this mixture but if you're going to use sprinkles just use half a cup do all right we got a few things going on like my cake is out the bundt cake and it is past the 10 minutes so i'm gonna put it on and invert it onto this and flip it over and hope it is good so let's let's hope it works oh okay you know what you do they like don't stick it smells so good you guys like pistachio cake mmm it smells so good delicious i will sprinkle powdered sugar on this in just a few minutes actually can i do that right now right now right here let's sprinkle powdered sugar in here and then i'm going to mix up my the honey bun it's got a frosting we gotta do that really quick before it gets too cold all right delicious the pistachio cake is done i'm gonna sit there you can put chopped pistachios on top i'm not going to just to make it stay you know it's all good to go so now i'm going to mix up in a mixing bowl i'm going to do my frosting because we're going to do is poke holes in your cake and pour them on top so let's mix up the powdered sugar mixture put the recipe on the screen when you're mixing up these powdered sugar mixtures and you have to add your liquid always add less than you need because if you add too much you're gonna have to add more um powdered sugar to it so i just did a little bit less and i realized okay this can be too thick so add a little bit more okay so now you have your um frosting so what you do is you poke some holes in your cake use a fork just poke some random holes you're just gonna pour it over the warm cake you want it warm it's been sitting up for maybe three four minutes and then you're gonna cover it with plastic wrap and leave it it's delicious i promise you all right this is going to be delicious let this sit for just a few because you obviously want to put plastic in it once warm once it's ready covered with plastic oh so good you can already see the shiny layer the shiny layer from the honey bun all right we're going to keep doing cookies in the oven over here i got one batch and i gotta put some more in there let's keep going all right washing your dishes as you go right you got your pile over there so you don't have a huge mess at the end that's what you got to keep doing okay so we're cooking making the cookies we're cooking we're baking the cookies over here i'm going to throw the next thing together this is something really simple is a truck uh trifold i'll say truffle trifle now two weeks ago i made an applesauce bundt pancake delicious by the way but look it i had half a cake left over and it was so good i was like i do not want to throw this away we had friends come stay with us last week so we had so many other kinds of treats because they couldn't do the gluten so all that good ice cream came in handy that remember that halo ice cream that was like the perfect treat so we had a lot of different kind of treats so i was like what am i going to do with this i don't want to waste this so i just was like you know what let me chop it up real quick and put in the freezer which i did and here you go delicious cake so back in thanksgiving i think it was thanksgiving we were going to make a trifle and we never did we bought apple pie filling we had caramel and we had cool whip and i was like we need to do something we just never made it because i think i don't know if it was just the time frame or you know everything happened and we couldn't have people here i don't know whatever it was but anyways i'm like that'll be something delicious to make as a dirt dessert something i have at home so i'm just gonna i don't have a triple bowl i used to have a glass one probably 20 years ago i don't have one anymore and every time i go to make one of these i'm like i need a glass bowl but if you don't have a glass bowl just layer it in a regular bowl i'm just going to use this one it won't be as pretty but it works so all i'm going to do you can layer it and do like multiple layers if you have the truffle bowl but i'm just going to put this cake mix in the bottom break it apart a little bit more and then i'm going to put um apple pie filling on it and then i'm going to put cool whip on top and then i'm going to put caramel syrup on it delicious easy way to gather up my fragrance and make something delicious i remember jaden mitch she makes these a lot at her place that she works at for catering and she would did like a chocolate when i'm like is that going to be good oh the kids like it was another holiday and everybody devoured it and ate it up so i'm like just put anything gooey and yummy delish together people eat it you can put pudding in here too i think that's what it was we had pudding to put in here but we're just gonna use the cool whip that'll be fine to do so layer it with whatever kind of delicious stuff you have let's put this in the bowl this is really simple now the cake is really moist so you could add like that i was waiting for the apple pie i've never i can't say i've never i'm sure i bought apple pie filling before i just don't really remember getting it i was thinking it'd be like chopped up a little diced pieces no big deal but the cake is so moist i took a piece and i'm like it is still so delicious and so it'll be plenty moist with that they have pie and the cool whip on top but you can add pudding if you want to mix up pudding like vanilla pudding in there even like a cheesecake pudding would be really good to make it nice and gooey but this will be good i'm going to cover this and put the freezer another easy dessert just gathered up fragments that i had in my pantry and in my freezer so all right cookies i gotta get another batching love my little stacking cool i've never had a let me get you there a big like a cooling rack like never i think i did way back in the day but i'm like i don't need this put on the counter i did and i left the cookie things everywhere we used wax paper this was a gift from one of my viewers awesome because i can stack it but i went to stack and i put on top of the cookie these are good these are really good you know what's good about these they're made with coconut oil that's really good you can't usually make cookies it tastes like a really good sugar cookie cookies with coconut oil usually go very flat so obviously the cake batter has some kind of fat in it but that is just made of coconut oil it's real greasy when you make it i was like oh it's definitely real good for your hands like lotion but these are turning out great this is like i'm like gosh i want to make more but i have a whole nother cake mix box in there so i'll make something another few weeks from now so let's finish up these cookies and we'll be good to go i gave up on the cookie scoop who like cookie scoops are okay i've bought sprinkles on my teeth now i bought like a set a few years ago and like i rarely use them i think a lot of you said i use them for like meatballs and stuff i don't know does it take more time i don't know i'm always like i really need a cookie scooper and now i'm like i really like just using them in my hands and making like little balls here and putting them on it just goes quick and easy i don't know scoop probably fine like when i was scooping it up you know it wants to separate a little bit but see look at how greasy cause the coconut oil can you see that can you see the grease on my fingers coconut oil so that's like for cookies for myself i've never been able to make cookies with coconut oil because they are so greasy but these are turning out perfect they recommend making them on parchment paper so mine are a little brown on the bottom not black at all brown i'll show you i'll pick one up in just a second after my hands are down here and i wash them but um they're actually turning out perfect so get yourself some cake mix this is like sugar cookie reminds me of the flavors kind of basically you know you buy like a cookie mix like the cookie mix that they sell for a dollar it's kind of like that so this is delicious all right let me wash my hands i'll pick up a cookie okay see how i mean that's not even bad it's just browned a little bit on the bottom but if you want to adjust all the real white use parchment paper i just use my air bake cookie sheets i like the arabic because it has that double layer and then they don't burn i've used so many other cookie sheets go back to the arabic cookies so let's check these all right we got one more batch just good all right i'm looking at my stuff and i'm like i'm almost done i'm like i feel like that's not enough i know it is plenty but something i usually make all the time i haven't made them a long time is pumpkin chocolate chip muffins i've been making these for eons like eons i don't even know where i got the recipe from but it works it's the greatest a lot of you've used this recipe and said it's delicious they freeze well they fall well they are just good they're that good sometimes you get muffins you're like that's really dry no these are very moist and good and delicious and we love them been eating them forever so i think i know actually not think i know i've got those huge cans of pumpkin but i still have a lot of small cans of pumpkin so i am going to mix up a batch of chocolate chip pumpkin moments i will put the recipe on the screen if you this is just a small person small person small family um recipe that i'm gonna do i'm gonna do the small one too but i do have a large family size one on my blog plain and notsoplane.com you can look at and it shows you the big giant we used to make this all the time when the kids are little because i had a lot of little ones i felt like invest once and do it one time and have a ton for the whole month so you don't have to bake again but life just gets easier and i don't have to do it all in one day all the time so let's mix up some chocolate chip cookie batter here cookie butter let's mix up some chocolate chip cookie no let's mix up some pumpkin chocolate chip muffin batter in the bowl here and then we'll get that in the oven sometimes we use white flour but i really do like using the white wheat flour what i have right now is white flour because we still have a lot left over from the holidays so it's used what the recipe says but if you add a wheat flour add less and then check how thick the batter is usually it's two and a half cups for this recipe typically when i add the wheat flour it's about two cups because it's a thicker consistency all right i'm taking back everything i just said about the cookie scoopers i like that for cupcake or cupcake or even muffin batter that's what i like my little scoopers for all right i didn't do very good guessing i was like a little bit off but got these all made so now i'll put these in the oven these will be great to bake you can freeze these whatever you wanna do these these last and they're so so good so you saw adding chocolate chips to the batter i had a little leftover bag of the other ones that i thought well maybe i'll just skimp and do less chocolate chip but i was like man i'll just add more chocolate chips to it so let's get this in the oven and bake at 350 for about 40 minutes all right so the cookies are all done i finally got those all out of the oven i'm actually cooking dinner over here but i won't share that today's video and what else i'm gonna make is do you remember all those cinnamon rolls i have yeah like we still have a bunch of cinnamon rolls so i was like gotta get creative we did a little waffle things those were good and my waffle iron died so we won't be making those until i get one but i was looking up some recipes elephant ears you can make a mock elephant ear version out of these and i'm like we could do this so it does contain a ton of sugar but doesn't an elephant ear contain a ton of sugar yes it does so what i'm going to do is on a cookie sheet here you're going to take a cup of sugar and half a cup of cinnamon know a whole lot of cinnamon i have tons of these mini ones i was given a gift of this pensies um cinnamon so we have a lot of these cinnamon you get a whole big container for like a dollar so half a cup is not going to be that bad but i'm going to be using up all these gathering my friends to finally use up my small bottles and put on a cookie sheet then you're going to roll out the cinnamon roll about six to eight inches and put it on parchment paper do put it on parchment paper because they will burn on your cookie sheet and we're gonna bake those in the oven we're gonna see how delicious these are these are actually a variety of cinnamon there's china vietnamese and just pension cinnamon so pretty good just stir this with a fork and then we're gonna roll it out on top okay the recipe is one cup of sugar i'm actually going to two cups of sugar because i'm going to use two cans of my cinnamon rolls so it'll make it more cinnamony than sugar you do whatever you want that is what the original recipe is is a half a cup with that but i'm going to add this in here okay after doing one batch and one hand there was a lot of cinnamon left over i still do another one but i slid over majority of it to the side so it wouldn't get touched by the cinnamon roll so i just pour that into a glass jar here so i'm going to save this because somebody will eat it on something like you know toast is really good but i was using the rolling pin and i'm like this is just not it's sticking use your hand it works way better smush it down with your hand and do it you just want to get it in that cinnamon sugar mixture i'm waiting for the oven for the pumpkin muffins before i bake these so i'm just going to do some more put your elephant ears in the oven you want to keep checking them so they don't burn it's rich the recipe says 375 i'm going to keep it on 350 because i have a higher altitude and a gas oven sometimes things burn so we'll do 350 to be safe i'm going to put my cookies in here so i can take my muffins out all right the elephant ears are out of the oven like this this is the 350 one as they sit they get harder so the kids have they're like these are good so i saved the little um you know dipping or the what is that the sugary frosting and so i thought you could put that on top but as they sit they they do get hard so basically it's a flattened cinnamon roll with a lot of uh cinnamon now the other ones i did at 375. i don't think i really noticed it different though so i'm gonna put these on the cooling rack let them cool then we'll take them off and show you what they look like to serve all right so the elephant ears right here not bad i'm gonna give jaden just had one so jayden please give us a little jade's like what give us a review of they're like i said it's basically a cinnamon roll flat but she said they're just crisper they're crispy so you said you're going for the elephant ears turtle vibe yeah sort of vibe i'd give it like a seven seven for that attempt because they're attempting they're a little bit more they're fluffier probably rolling out would be the elephant ears are fluffier some reals these are less fluffy less fluffy okay so okay i was like delicious so good so i think letting them sit is gonna be the uh the crispy part like that's where they get a little crispy because i had it right in the oven when it was there but this is good and then we can dip it in the little sauce here if you want to have a little dip on there not bad all right so elephant ears make them up we got some cinnamon rolls lots of sugar and delicious okay so all of my baking is done for the day so what i'm doing for dinner tonight is going to be spaghetti super easy so i have my pen all i did was heat up some meat that i've already cooked and i added two jars of spaghetti sauce that's an easy dinner and i'm gonna keep the pasta over here so i'm gonna make some i'll try to make sure in the word it's like cheesy garlic bacon monkey bread is that a good word to use so basically you make monkey bread and then you add all that stuff in there one of my viewers gave me the idea so i'm gonna take i took out bread dough right here and i'm just gonna cut this into little pieces and put it in a bowl and i've melted two sticks of butter i gotta pull those papers out i've got garlic seasoning i was gonna do real garlic but garlic seasoning i think it's gonna be better it's gonna be fine i'm gonna put some bacon in there and cheese and we're gonna stir it up mix it all real good and then we're going to put it in our bundt pan and bake in the oven that'll be a really good pull apart bread to serve along with our spaghetti you don't do the bacon but i feel like all those good flavors would be really good so you could just do the garlic and then the butter but we're going to add cheese and bake it to make it like extreme and really good crazy all right so here is this this is gonna be really gooey and really delicious so i just poured the butter on top i'm gonna let this sit and rise a little bit it pops up because it is bread dough if you want to use biscuits you could do that as well so we'll do that then we'll bake in the oven let me give you a little tip the bread dough is going to want to stick back together because it's dough take your scissors and then go like this chop chop it apart because it's going to want to go back together just so it's kind of in pieces when we pull it apart it'll be better so all right let that sit all right here's what we ended up with today we got the elephant ears the honey bun cake the pistachio cake sprinkle cookies chocolate chip popcorn muffins and then the apple trifle dessert all right so my baking is done i take my apron off because it's so stained with cinnamon especially so food was delicious these really good very surprised like i was kind of like that's okay crispy the longer they sit they're getting crispy and crispier so that's a nice little treat i tried i know the pumpkin muffin tastes like i know what the sprinkle cookie tastes like but i have not tried the apple dessert so you know i do that on camera and the um the apples are in the cake so this look at that i'm just going to take a bite out instead of putting a flakes i don't really need a whole i don't really need a whole thing but here this is all right really good on that dessert taste it's like an apple really delicious apple dessert so now i'm going to open up my honeymoon cake and cut me a corner here cut me cut me a corner okay so that's when i grab more on the side of the cake if you get more in the middle where the cinnamon is it's way it's just good it's delicious oh yeah really good texture in the cake and the frosting tastes like a honey bun winner let me try the pistachio cake all right here's pizza okay tastes like pistachio cake good real life delicious all these treats are very good all right so i had to wait to that cheesy garlic bikini cheesy bread come in the oven look at that delicious and all you gotta do is pull off i think they also caught like a i used to remember seeing a recipe for like a ranch plucket where they do ranch powder with the butter just pull it off and eat it i'm going to take a tiny piece because we're not eating this right now look at it delicious oh
