time we talked we always talked nothing but God but today I said I'm just gonna talk a little bit about her when I think of Lady Martin and I think of a friend a hidden gem someone that I don't have to talk to every single day but on the days that we do talk it's like we never missed a beat we can just keep going and going and going when I think of you I think of June you always have a song I think of Mary you always have a song in your heart always there's always something you can say there's always something you can do that always either builds me up or takes me to a place where I need to be I shall never forget the morning that I thought my life was just going down a dark and lonely road I'll never forget you coming and being my name I'll never forget that you came and gave me a word that so many could have given me but it was for you to give me that word and you didn't call me on the phone you just showed up you didn't call and say you were coming you just arrived at the right time knocking on the door and I'm so glad that I was there and the Lord had you assigned to me for that day there are so many people you can call friends but there are so few who really know what friends means I appreciate you for being not only an encourage or to me but an encourage you to yourself because I see a woman that just never quits I see a woman that keeps pressing sometimes when she's pressed more against I see a woman that gets up in the morning and starts all over again every single day on some mornings when you don't even want to give up I see a woman that is gonna rise above everything that she's ever been through I see a woman that has faced every challenge and faced it with a smile and a song in our heart I see a woman that has been a mother for not only her children but a mother to other children I see a woman who has been a sister to someone who did not have a sister I see a woman who is a grandmother beyond grandmothers very few do I know that takes the the children that are around her and not only loves them but teaches them and gives them all that they need so that they can rise up and be godly men and women I see a woman that when she dresses up she looks like a diamond she's so beautiful in every way I see a woman that is a rose but your thorns do not hurt they only pierce with love so when I think of you I think truly of a friend I want you to always know that in me you have a friend I'm not a singer or a singer at all you know and I don't know if my preys seemed probably already saying and left but I'm gonna do what I can do thank you for being a friend travel down the road and back again my heart is true you're a pal and a confidante yes and if I threw a party and invited everyone I knew you would be the biggest gift would and she's looking beautiful and I told her I've known of 42 years of the 60 and when she asks me to marry her she she declared that that's not the truth but I'm telling y'all that's the truth ah and I said yes [Laughter] this is see they shouldn't gave me the mic and since I got it when I was my late late uncle he was traveling all over and singing and her mother would follow my uncle and so all the sisters that were singing at that time I know y'all know there's nine of them but when they first start singing there was only four and the others join later and every time we would go to a place this young lady would come up and tap me on the shoulder and I'd be like yes and she's like are you cheap Mars nephew I said yeah and she said okay and walk away and next meeting we go to to my tapped on the shoulder look around she saw Eugene Mars and nephew yeah and she walk away and one time I was sitting there with me and my cousins were together and as we were standing there watch this watch this watch this I said watch this lady this girl she gonna commence my my dream wasn't it for you so they were standing there waiting and she came tapping on the show that she said hey Eugene Martin's nephew and I said yes and she walked away and they said man you told us that I never knew that that young lady tapped me on the shoulder I will be married too and so I guess all that tapping paid off some of you might need to tap just the tap never know what the tap will do but here we are 40 years later and what a blessing and so I've come we're going to receive an offering but I need y'all do me Patricia pace and I bring you greetings yes ma'am I am and I bring you greetings from the North Georgia conference of the United Methodist Church where I pastored for 37 years just entered into retirement and by way of hizmet and by way of Jones Avenue so I know all about you I know how we do it and I thank God for you I want to thank June today because about nine years ago I called your husband who doesn't know who I am right now but I called him to come and preach for me in keraton where I pastored sixteen years and he came and I saw somebody on the back row and it was June I said come on up this is what I love about her she did not pick any bones did not sell her she came up and she blessed the house well I figured if I could call him after I retired see I retired three times same n because I taught for 40 years in the school system and then I turned around and spent the 37 years in the Methodist Church where I am now but I'm also a licensed tax consultant and so I've been doing that for about 30 years so in the mean time I call June when I was sick from 1 retime it back into ministry in Lithonia and I asked her to come and really you got a message in your in that envelope for me all right mmm I were to process him amen and she came and she took the house again so she's known for tearing up a house and she's known also for cakes I was sitting at home Christmas before last and really not that the dough but I didn't know it when I look I was in the bedroom and nearly brought I said she says I found my way so I want you to know that I love her I love all of them I watched them from afar yes and I get up every morning and I think it is Latrice is on my Facebook page right next to me every moment amen so I want to thank you for being the lady that you are it's good to be a lady it's good to be right with God and it's good to be saved it's good to know him as your friend and you've been a friend to a lot of people and I thank you for not only coming my church but my daughter is is going up for ordinance in the United Methodist Church as an elder and she is the one with the church and guess who else came June so June I want to say thank you I don't know if she was gonna leave me with anything else to say but I want to say I love you as my cousin you one of the things I want to share this when I went to the house the other day one of the things that was said in the house was June's sure does know how to bring family together and so I want to say thank you for bringing family together I want to say thank you that even though you went to Mom's church way out in Carrollton that you found a way to come way way way out there Oxford Georgia where I'm the pastor and you came to see me not once but twice and Lily and the family came and you came and you lifted up the name of Jesus so I want to thank you for being an anointing I want to thank you for being an anointed mother and an anointed wife I want to thank you for being a Nortec grandmother cuz I heard the young lady say but I already knew it that the anointing how you raise your grandchildren when we say teach not just teaching about Jesus but teaching them their education because I also work in education but one thing I know is the school system can sometimes be children up but when a grandmother steps in and says I'm gonna teach mine and I'm gonna show them the way to God be the glory for you seeing the need to soar seed in your own family because many of us forget to show the seat in our own family which is busy trying to so I'm and so you recognize that when you sow in your own house that things can truly grow on the outside so I just want to thank you woman I'm God for being who God has called you to be God created a whole bunch of things that he did he created a whole bunch of wonderful things but on this night oh my god he created you and to God be the glory for the gift that you have brought him in your life so I want to thank God for your life I want to thank God for your joy your smile I want to thank God for your joy as praise I want to thank God that I can come so many of you all don't even come to this church and I've come when I've had a day off from worship to pray it someone took preached in my own church but I've come here to worship and I've come where I can actually come into this congregation and take off my shoes and I've come when I can actually run around and praise the Lord and nobody looked at me in a special kind of way didn't worry about what kind of cross and flame I was holding but I was able to come into this house and lift up the name of Jesus and you welcomed me and so I just want to say thank you to God be the glory may God bless you in six years may God continue to bless you for more may your hands continue to touch people and may they receive blessings upon blessings just because they were in your midst to God be the glory me [Music] pick up your shoes put a dance on a real quick [Music] y'all just go being a part of the celebration life this is life I just paint job because if I look back last year over all the things that the doctor said like going on dialysis and and I beat that and I think it was about 18 pills I was taking for the day and I'm I and think about how much for me because I should be dead and going sleeping in my grave but he kept me alive he gave me a miracle here's a way out of no way yeah and I think God for being Louise hey yeah I gotta say I got the same but I feel like running around this church because see the doctor looked at my mom in 2007 they say your son got prophetically to tell you that the angels of the Lord have already gone from your prayer room and moving on the heart of others and so we speak today that the Lord was strengthen you and that the Lord will increase you and that your ladder will be greater than the former and the people of God say Amen grab the handle wrap the head of the person next to you somebody somebody's necks is using the greatest season of their life okay if you don't mind can you just tell them said I know what God can do and say God's got another move and it's gonna be at your address if you got a little bit more
