okay now back to our mockup now we've closed everything up but our fire blocks and this is what they look like okay they're in here and they're one is staggered from the other one okay and we're covered here with flex and the course up here with the sheetrock which you're going to be used to and that's what you'll be using now the tools we're going to be using today of course is your your bell hanger type bit that walks as well as the green Rod again so we'll be seeing that guy again we'll set him behind us and let's get started all right as you pop your hole through the drywall okay put your drill motor in Reverse giving it short bursts to make that sharp corner and walk right on down the wall now we just hit something so that we assume would be our our fire block now if we pull the Dr motor on now and i' switch back to forward at this point in time the first thing would would happen it pop right out through the wall as you know how they walk so now what we have to do is grab our bit okay pull down and push back to line it up straight with the wall so it's straight up and down okay now as we go okay here we go down through using very short bursts all right this is why you have to have the tapered back so you can get your B back out through okay there we are we're through the fire block okay now we lay our bit down we take our green Rod we go back in the same hole and then we hit that edge of that and down it goes and you see it went right on through there is no such thing as a fire block if you treated this method now what you're looking at here is reference points keep this in mind reference points your two two reference points are at the back of each side of that fire block because you're in here you're going out through so your reference points are those Corners this is important doesn't make any difference where you're at here now the point is that you have to push that bit so it's straight up and down keep that in mind and if you don't do this you're going to have unwanted holes cuz it's going to pop right out through I will flat guarantee you now what I'm going to recommend here to you is build yourself a a little mockup to train your people and do just exactly what we've done here push that bit till it's straight so it drills out takes out the corner okay now this is very important and I'm going to tell you this if you do it right you're going to love it if you do it wrong and have unwanted holes don't call me
