HOW TO FISH CABLE WIRES THROUGH STUDS HORIZONTALLY USING FLEX DRILL BIT

so a few months back my brother and i designed this wall to demonstrate how to run wires or cables up in the wall to your attic space but in this video i'm going to do things a little bit different i'm going to use a tool called the flex bit which you guys highly recommended and i'm going to show you how to run cable's wires horizontally in a wall now at the end of this flex bit you got a screw tip you got a access hole right here to attach a pull wire and then on the other side this is a 36 inch i believe flex flex pit but on the other side you also have an access hole to attach a pull wire so you can run cables up and down in your app from your attic but this whole thing is smooth and round except for the other end where attaches to the drill so you get better grip now you want to switch it to drill mode all right one so i'm going to put my flex bit and rest it on the bottom of the drywall access hole and then i'm going to start drilling right here where i can see and because it has a screw tip it's going to bite into there really easy [Music] i'm going to press the trigger on the drill real slow and walk it all the way to the other end i'm going to start drilling now once it bites in [Music] and right from here from this point on we can um go ahead and cut a hole right here and open it up and then we can attach a wire speaker wire or pull wire and then run it through the wall this way you put the drill in reverse and you pull back right and if it gets stuck in the 2x4 the only thing you have to do is press the trigger real slow in reverse and there you have it and reverse again and then you can pull out the speaker wire and that's how you run speaker wire horizontally through a wall now to run the wires vertically up in the wall there's two ways to do it you can do it from the attic and drill down but sometimes the pitch of the roof at the edge of the roof line uh yeah you won't be able to get a flex bit in there because you would have to have a tall enough ceiling or roof clearance to get in that situation where you have that flex bit you can actually drill down into the wall so i highly suggest the less time in the attic the better so i highly suggest working from the ground level up if this video was informative give me a big thumbs up if you want more how-to videos coming your way subscribe to tampa tech click on the subscribe button below or right here you always check out my other installation videos check out this playlist right here and if you know anyone that this video will help go ahead and click on the share button below thanks guys for watching
