up a little bit I want to I wonder if I turned it up too much [Applause] all right [Applause] foreign nuts and that like I said that's about 75 of its power 75 anything that's freaking sweet that's capable of more definitely so it's awesome and the engine brake makes it feel just like a like a fortune and you see how it doesn't get flat it pulls right to the end there's no way it continues it continues that's the best part yeah what do you think this is my buddy Bill's Custom KX 5000 million [Music] technically it's the three kilowatt motor right um Qs yep but uh far drive 850. far drive 850 so pumping 850 phase amps right yeah 450 battery amps 450 battery amps and what you've seen is 75 of its power right now it's capable of more 75 power and what what uh this 72 volt battery how many amp hours with this bad 88 amp hours 88 amp hours and there is 800 Sony vtc4s in there 800 like double it like it's bigger than a double it's like what was it 18650. it's like a defense it's like a d or a c battery or smaller but um and the battery will do between 12 and 8 12 and 1800 amps continuously so that's when we're taking 850 from it so it still could do more I use controller straight welding cable zero gauge cable from the batteries to handle that power yeah you're good for I'm good for I'm easily I can easily handle a thousand amps without a problem perfect and it's never gotten warm on me and never had an issue I run two afternoons with this battery out at the trails so how long ago did you build this bike how long have you been riding it um over a year now over a year you built this bike a goal yep and what this started out this is a 90 95 97 93 KX 250. 93 KX 250 there's a gas motor in there you bought it as a roller or no it was a gas motor totally restored I used to race them you race this bike like you used to have this as your Gasser yep and then it has like twice three times the power now as it did when it was gas [Laughter] and then I can break a train uh chain 520 chain instantly if I run full power so uh the motor in this is the Qs V3 V3 with the gear reduction with the gear reduction I'm running a ten to one gear ratio ten to one gear ratio and it's got the uh like uh we've got the whole sensor on it right that's this one right here right yep yeah there's your three phase your three line phases into your motor and there's your whole sensor wire there yep and the bike is about 60 pounds lighter than it was when it was gas freaking right yep as you can tell she's well used in the dirt oh yeah it's not babied by any means I abuse it 100 where is the controller underneath the seat the controller is actually right up here where the gas tank is didn't work through the gas tank used to be oh yeah you told me the two shrouds meet and that's where the gas tank used to be underneath and the controller's just sitting right there on the top of the frame yeah this was my uh test bed and so yeah I have more to more to build and still needs more uh fine tuning 9 500 RPMs out of that yeah is what what I've maxed it out at is I can get 9 500 RPMs yeah most electric motors you find that's the problem with them right they're like 45 000 yeah something like that right you don't get this there's a far drive and the uh field weakening I can get 95 out of it nice it uh I've had it topped out over 140. yeah yeah oh yeah 140k right yep right brother and then you did all the custom well into all the battery in there and everything but you have more room you could make a bigger battery if you want to do this I plan on putting the battery inside the frame part we didn't know this is a test bed so just checking her out right the easiest one what's your CR battery like like this it's identical everything everything is 100 same battery same frame everything same controller location yeah mine in my air box like same way yeah but he's also his is running a volatile I'm running the far drive you're running the voltage this is the far doesn't this one hit harder oh yeah way harder way harder way harder yeah and you say it's more easier to program the far drive that well I'm used to both of them so they're both pretty simple yeah but the throttle ramping and the throttle curve the torque you can really modify with the uh oh yeah that's hard drive I like how they're like vintage you know what I mean they're like vintage since I was 14. but yeah that was your guess here too yeah since I was 14. holy in my garage for like nine years 1985 CR2 foreign upgraded the front end upgraded wheels just for better suspension you got the bar risers on here and everything eh yep like I said I used to race it pretty hard now Paulie needs to try it [Laughter] what do you think of this bike Paula I think this bike is nasty it's pretty wild I was going pretty quick there dude we should put the GoPro on so we can see the KMS that's why I was uh flashing Oh I thought you were saying go no no no I was trying to tell you I was like bro did you see me grab a full handful like my first one or two strips by and I was still on the gas and I grabbed the front brake because this has the electronic throttle I find electronic throttles are so easy to Whiskey throttle like if you're just but you don't even feel it you know what I mean because there's like so much less resistance right and I had a little bit of throttle still on like as I put my hand back there was still a little bit on and I grabbed front brake and she was still trying to go right here I'm like oh yeah I'll push through it oh yeah I thought you were trying to do a burnout I was trying to do a burnout after yeah I'm like you're not gonna stop that thing oh yeah it'll just pull the front end do you have a you have a 12 volt regulator on this thing too yep DC to DC so that's 72 dropping down to 12 eh yep all 100 waterproof trust me I've submerged this thing and it doesn't yeah like almost three quarters up the wheel what I like the most about these electric builds like this forksies are available Plastics are available freaking everything is everything's available name brand exactly yeah yeah exactly yeah so that's takes 72 volts gives your 12 volts out so then you run you hit some fuges and hit your lights and everything yep beautiful check out the size that one up welding cable coming out of that battery there on your negative on your negative terminal yeah I use actual welding connectors it's going strong enough to handle the amps that's sweet that I produce yeah that makes sense so what do you think solid like 8.5 out of 10 like 10 being like me like lying on the floor crying so happy you know like this this bike's solid very solid I know it like I said the rim I would love to I got this on a dirt track like I'm not a street guy I'm not a wheelie guy I don't have these skills like I'm a Motocross guy I mean you probably have that background right I would love to take this on the track and it does feel very nimble like you said it's like it's surprisingly lighter it's surprisingly lighter than I thought it's a little bit considering you having this I find I found it hit my feet a little bit here but I just get used to it my knees right here yeah yeah I sit way up yeah yeah yeah exactly that's exactly how I was too I felt that but it wasn't like that something that I couldn't get used to like it wasn't like I'm so used to what I did it once and then now I just put my knees around it yeah it keeps me in position I only hit mine once only in a con I was actually um trying to get off when we're building these custom batteries that being said you can make any sort of configuration as long as you do your Series in parallel connections this was our original test bed so that's why I just built yeah let's get her done I was planning over the winter actually make this go up in here now that'd be sweet that's what I wanted to see all right yeah that's that's that's nice brother great job man great job on the building I'm not even touching my I'm leaving mine the way it is yeah yeah um I'm gonna build a new one so I'm gonna look for something like a I have a I have an old reframe at my house Paul yeah same as that one I got a frame go get the Grom where is the ground back shed let's get her you want to line them up yeah what are you gonna ride this one to line up the drum and the KX let's line up all of them
