Kingdom Hearts 101 - PCP University Lecture

gay yeah no talking there's no talking class the school higher mission like the car houses we're all ready okay everyone's ready okay here we go everyone thank you for coming to Kingdom Hearts 101 now I know that at PSP University this is a mandatory class but I want to assure you that there's a lot of rich content that will be valuable throughout your life here so you know don't just [ __ ] around in class you're gonna want to pay attention this is all gonna be on the test hey booboo wanna have sex with a teacher sake that's it no that's a demerit this ground rules ground rules are as they were before if I can't I can't be seen with people with demerits all right everybody there's no talking anymore unless you raise your hand you can say anything you want if you raise your hand but that's the rule no talking unless it's up there okay so here we go oh and by the way this is an interactive class I want you to raise your hands yes been a [ __ ] cat part of this class I hate that cat why I'm sorry I didn't mean to do that I apologize okay now I was over saying this is an interactive class so just so everyone knows there's words to keep everyone engaged we're gonna play a little game so when I say how we feeling everyone's gonna say simple and clean is the way that he and me feel tonight it's hard to let it go so let's give that test okay what how we feelin way that you're making me feel tonight it's hard to let it go excellent okay you already got plus ones across the board okay no the lecture is starting now no we're talking here we go okay so everyone we got to go back in time all the way to 2001 is when our lecture begins when I wasn't know raise your hand now there's a little legend that tell us about how king of the kingdom arts idea was formed as everybody probably knows Kingdom Hearts is a wierdo fusion between the world of Disney and the world of squaresoft specifically Final Fantasy and these things are very different a lot of people have speculated or have said that that's a very odd combination doesn't make a lot of sense but it's somehow it's worked out it's been fairly popular over the years and the legend is that the Disney and Square guys shared the same building in Tokyo or someplace out there in the East and they got in the elevator at the same time and one of them just happened to mention hey wouldn't it be crazy if Final Fantasy and Disney did a game together and the rest just kind of magics its way into reality okay so that brings us to couple years later Kingdom Hearts 1 it was released for the PlayStation 2 we're gonna go over the lore kind of as we go through all the games but the tangible details you need to know about King Naresuan are that that's where the major key foundations of the series were established so you've got Sora's the main character he's the chosen here with the Keyblade hearts and heartless are established we'll go into what those exactly are later on in this section of the lecture and the main all our main heroes are introduced to Sora is fran Kairi Riku the eternal rival and Ansem was the villain of that game along with the heartless that he controlled so okay let's just talk about what a heartless is right now before we go on a heartless is actually the opposite of what it sounds like because in the Kingdom Hearts universe you see a person is made up of a combination of what we would normally think of as a person the soul and the body but there's kind of a redundancy in the Kingdom Hearts universe that which is the heart the heart is a separate essence of your being that is not your soul it's totally different has nothing to do with it but it has some kind of weird link to emotions without hearts you can't really have real emotions you can fake it what you can't have it munching what's the reason I don't feel anything anymore because I don't have a heart it's quite possible you know interestingly there is an exception to what I'm gonna get into a little bit later about if you lose your heart you would normally turn into a nobody but if you have no darkness in your heart at all then you don't turn into a nobody so that can explain you my friend thank you yeah that's right okay so so as I was saying a person is composed in Kingdom Hearts of a soul heart and body now in a heartless is the main antagonist of the game and when a person has their heart is corrupted by darkness their heart specifically becomes a heartless so a heartless is in fact the heart just changed it is not heartless yes Ben the heart the heart my shoutouts to bleach my best shoutouts to TJ Kubo Tite Kubo whatever to vote I notice that the darkness insignia are there on top of it what looks to be a infinity symbol I think with infinity darkness there's a reason for that because every heart in Kingdom Hearts is composed of both darkness and light so you see what happens is when the darkness gets out of balance in a heart when there's too much darkness and that's when a heart turns into a heartless and goes you know full evil monster man up to that point every single heart in the Kingdom Hearts universe is composed of both darkness and light even good guys and even bad guys with a few small exceptions that we will talk like I mentioned munching bet so do the heartless have light in them at all the heartless have absolutely no light because they are pure darkness meetings and there there are a couple different types of heartless there are what's called pure blood heartless which are kind of they kind of come out of the darkness of the universe and then there are excuse me Insignia heartless which are what excuse me what do you see throughout the game most of the time they're the ones with the iconic heartless logo there and all of those have been manufactured from the hearts of men or not even necessarily men because that's another thing in Kingdom Hearts everything has a heart kind of like the Native American ideal people have arts animals have hearts worlds have hearts the entire universe instead of owes to cover this real quick the entire universe or multiverse of Kingdom Hearts has a heart and that is basically what's known as Kingdom Hearts so you can put that one aside it takes about five games to explain that but eventually that's what it turns out to be okay so okay so return to Kingdom Hearts 1 in Kingdom Hearts 1 Sora obtains the Keyblade which is a weapon that can unlock any lock and is specifically super effective against the Heartless been sorry to backtrack but I have a cosmological questions please I love so the Heartless is formed when the heart the heart separates from the body and is consumed by darkness yes that's correct saying that nobody is the result of the remaining body and soul well get there nobody's a little bit later in Kmart's Jocasta yeah then just if we're adding layers when we get to that give and take I mean Hippocrates so the heart has to leave the body for it to become heartless that is true can someone just have a heart that is entirely dark well you see when the heart kind of gets overly corrupted by darkness it just it leaves the body through that process of heartless when you see it in the game it kind of looks like the whole person is being transformed into a heartless and in fact that's kind of what was implied in Kingdom Hearts 1 but we kind of brushed that aside as you move along through this series as an excuse for nobodies to exist and other things that's the the main theme I want to present here is that right here uh Nomura is a literal God that's the main key point to be taking away from this lecture he can do anything he wants it's time of space are not confined this man nor do the laws of causality who is Nomura you can see Nomura excellent question but demerit for not raising your head before you started the next cent did you want to know a buddy buddy all right Tetsuya Nomura is the director of the King of Hearts franchise he is the it is his brainchild he's the one who designed Sora he came up with the concept of the game as far as I know and is I think he had a large part to play in at least the game design of the first game in terms of combat and that would go on to shape the way the rest of the series has gone on he is not solely responsible for everything to do with the game but he is the one who's who's kind of he's the main guy he's the main guy what are you thinking of arts Tetsuya Nomura is the guy and you will know him famously for being from first character designer a monster designer for final fantasy 5 on to character designer for specifically set certain six as well as other characters I've done other monster designs and then 79 well actually not nine but onward the final fantasy character designer budget do you design any Pokemon mmm no but he has redesigned Batman Oh yep yeah it's much edgier it's it's very to see the way his his Batman designs just look like their Kingdom Hearts characters it's real cool make sense did you know more is the fashion guy right no more isn't even the fashion got sponsible for like making lightning where Louie Vuitton and [ __ ] and all that actually no the one responsible for interestingly enough no that is actually Toriyama who has a bizarre bordering on fetishistic fixation with a character of lightning Ferren for final fantasy 13 who was the director of 13 and the whole 13 saga been no more ado world ends with you he certainly did that's that's another of his projects that he loves and a lot of people wanted to make another one out but I look so far but that actually does give her interestingly the world ends with you does see a revival way down here in Kingdom Hearts so where's a dream Drop Distance Traverse Town which is one of the world's who visit and we'll talk about the world stretch of Kingdom Hearts in a bit one of the worlds in Kingdom Hearts 1 was Travers town when you visit it again and it's actually the dream form which is a whole other thing we'll have to get into dream worlds they visit the dream world of of Travers town and dream Drop Distance for the 3ds and in that town all of a sudden Neku Sakuraba and the other characters from world ends with you are there and you hang out with them and they're your best friends and it's it's a whole cool thing amazing it is amazing and but they get voice actors and they well they had them in the original game too but it was it was really cool it's really cool so no no no more is not a guy to shy away from sticking his properties and other things you know he's all about that ok so where were we let's see so Kingdom Hearts 1 let's just go over the lore real quick heartless and you know what the thing is because there are so many [ __ ] retcons you can't do this in chronological order if you're trying to make any sense of it you have to do it a release order and describe the where things get twisted if you want anything to make any kind of sense so in Kingdom Hearts 1 Sora and his buddies live on destiny islands which is a world in the multiverse and they dream of leaving that world because they feel confined there it's a very teenage angsty series and they just want freedom you know they want to they want to say [ __ ] homework and say yes to adventure like like any real American Way and and so they are they have a plan to leave doesn't work out in essence there is a plot by this guy called Ansem seeker of darkness we're just answer in that game who who's going around turning worlds to darkness cuz he just loves darkness he's just really into darkness in that game and there's no there's no further lower beyond it than that and and he's the one who's responsible for all the activities in Kingdom Hearts 1 and all the harvest that run amok so at the beginning of that game their world gets corrupted by darkness and Sora Riku and Kairi interestingly the only characters who anyone gives a [ __ ] about from that world even though selfie for Final Fantasy 8 teetus and Waka from 10 are there two never addressed never mentioned that they've been thrown into darkness they only care Sora only everybody talks about Riku Rico into ever talks about Kairi and Sora no it doesn't matter even though Sora's mom isn't the beginning of that game it doesn't matter we're getting into to nitty-gritty stuff so their world is destroyed Sora gets the Keyblade and he's tasked to go save the world from darkness by Donald Duck and Goofy just goofy and he meets them who are who have been assigned to find the key by King Mickey Mouse Mickey Mouse is king of Disney Castle I believe is the name of the world and yeah believe it buddy you better believe it and he has gone out on his own quest to try to save the worlds Mickey actually has his own Keyblade in Kingdom Hearts 1 there are exactly two and a half key blades it is a Mickey has the one from the realm of darkness which is just another world that you see very little of in King Hearts 1 Sora has the Keyblade of the realm of light which so it's just granted to him by the universe because he's the chosen one and then Oh later on in the game due to some shenanigans Riku is able to forge his own Keyblade from six out of seven hearts of pure light which has the unique ability to unlock hearts and that has ramifications all over the [ __ ] place so we'll get to that later too mmm okay um so question bad question how many of us have played Kingdom right excellent question who's played these games I have you play key words one please 75% of Kingdom person know probably more I got to the final Riku battle and I couldn't beat him I gave up in Hollow Bastion the last time you find that's about 75% maybe a little more okay I play Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 so 1 2 3 of us I played four hours of 2 it was dog [ __ ] so I stopped that's 10 demerits no one is allowed to criticize the opening of Kingdom Hearts 2 ok let's just get that out of the way right now okay so in universe 1 just to really wrap that up you adventure with Donald and Goofy you travel for world to world oh it's important thing to know about the Rope King of Hearts this changes a little bit from game to game but you are in fact a interdimensional traveler or room between universe traveler it's kind of like anybody ever played D&D or Magic the Gathering you know there are different planes and each plane is sort of its own universe or world as it's called in Kingdom Hearts these guys are injured there they're planeswalkers basically and they have a thing called a gummi ship which allows them just a trial between worlds and specifically in King Hearts 1 it's a real important thing that they're not supposed to interfere in the activities of the individual worlds did okay is there a difference in this context between worlds planets and universes they're all kind of the same thing ok these are basically alternate universes that they're going between yeah yeah like one world is just game works one Halloweentown Halloweentown and this and like which is interesting because Halloween tone actually sort of has parallel universes in itself of like Christmas town but those are all contained within the Halloweentown world as it's as you visited on the world map munching Aladdin is in every game every [ __ ] game pretty soon so ok so they gets in the game what they do in King arts want is they they seal keyholes because the big problem in Kingdom Hearts 1 is that answer seeker of Darkness through his evil research into the heart and he's a dark boy when he was researching hearts he found that the core of every heart was pure darkness this is what he's scientifically deduced and and as he was doing that research he was kind of looking and looking into the depths of hearts and found the heartless just kind of burst out and that's where the pure blood Hartman's came from and then from his steps of what experiments is how everything got out of control of all the worlds were consumed by it by heartless hypocrite is he himself heartless or not it's a little bit ambiguous in Kingdom Hearts one impune words one he does have the the the logo here of of a heartless but it's never really addressed in that game if he's a heartless or not in later games yes he is in fact a heartless but in it depending on how you want to look at it if you were just playing that one game you know up to debate but you could just think yes he is in fact a heartless as we found out later so so what they're doing is they're going around they're stealing key balls which is a protection mechanism to prevent interdimensional travel because remember you're interdimensional travel is a really taboo thing that you're not supposed to do and in fact King Triton of Atlantica from Little Mermaid Fame yeah is is particularly vigilant about his you or an interdimensional travel you're not supposed to be doing this you got to get out of here this is this is unacceptable you can't be you know helping my daughter you know go to prom or whatever the [ __ ] he was doing with her so it does a lot of [ __ ] around incidentally his quest to uh his main motivation is to find it Riku and Kairi and all the other stuff is incidental digit what exactly happened to Riku and Kairi good question okay so a lot of things happen that you find out later on the series not even in this one game but at the time that destiny islands was consumed by darkness Sora was trying to find Riku and Kairi Sarah sees Riku and Riku is sort of consumed by blackness by darkness and just disappeared so we don't know what happened to him at that point turns out he just like Sora was was dropped off in Traverse Town which is sort of an interdimensional dumping ground world where everybody who get whose world is destroyed ends up in Traverse Town Kairi similar she might she may or may not have ended up in Neverland where Peter Pan is from or in over also in Chalmers town and was picked up by the bad guys because the bad guys get a hold of her body and and help Riku and Sarah they puppet him a lot to do various stuff but Riku Kairi specifically has had some bad [ __ ] happened to her her heart was in fact consumed by darkness at the beginning of Kingdom Hearts 1 and she is sort of in a weird catatonic state when you find her body when Riku finds her body later in the game and a lot of it has to do with trying to see what he can do to help her out with that [ __ ] I'm finding out why it is that she didn't turn into a heartless like everybody else does which is you know another big mystery that you find out in Kingdom Hearts 1 so and by the way the villains that you deal with as you're on your quest to seal the keyholes to just prevent to protect the worlds from the Heartless invasion they are guarded by Disney villains basically who have all formed a cadre or an Illuminati group of interdimensional Oleg arcs or whatever that are they are just working with the Heartless to whatever particular goal they're trying to accomplish okie boobie he wants to [ __ ] rule Halloweentown and spook everyone real hardcore you know Jafar wants to marry Jasmine and become Sultan you know things like it is pretty sick bro don't talk what then did the to declare in exactly those words their intentions and then shake hands sealing the deal there's a little bit of inference going on it's implied they they kind of [ __ ] talked each other a little bit you only see them together a couple times specifically Jafar and Ruby Bowie well we at the beginning of game they're all sort of in a room together kind of just conspiring and twirling their mustaches about there's this book he found one of the key holes he's being a real [ __ ] and our bond to make sure he stays a virgin that's correct you see people with strong darkness in their hearts do have an ability to control heartless who are mindless killer machines but you can get like your when you start working with darkness this is a constant theme throughout game arts when you start messing with darkness it can just overtake you because you got it you got to keep that little bit of light in yourself or you'll just lose that being a person you know your heart will just become heartless and you'll be an evil killing machine you got to watch out for that right okay so that's basically the main plot digit so like Elliot Rodger is a heartless his heart definitely well there are there are machine by darkness and then he went on a killing spree there happened some documented cases of sort of pre heartless consumed by darkness I believe that he would have become a heartless if he hadn't killed himself would have you know there was there's a little sweet spot there where you just have our full darkness but you don't actually turn to into a heartless so maybe you will never know we'll never know I wish we could bring the man back and ask him himself okay so let's get this one we're just establishing a lot stuff here so it turns out as you keep going you eventually find that Riku has childhood jealousy is a big theme of Kingdom Hearts 1 which is why I love it so much because I'm a childhood I'm very jealous person but Sora at the beginning of the game has an intense rivalry with Riku and they both have a strong affection for Kyrie and then this is a big thing in the very start of the game and so as you're going along Riku sort of gets really jealous that Sora has started to travel with Donald and Goofy and Sora Donald and Goofy are like the they're the three main boys of Kingdom Hearts the euro is with them and so he's real jealous of that then he feels abandoned or you know whatever he thinks Kyrie likes or more it's a big big [ __ ] emotional thing so he teams up with Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty who's another big villain in Kingdom Hearts who promises him super powers that Sora will never have because you have a real affinity for darkness Riku and you'll be really good at it and I'll also I have Kyra's body and I'll give that to you as well so she also had Cara's body so that's cool but so eventually you meet up with Riku he Sora finally catches up with him he has carries body they don't know why she's in this catatonic state Riku who was you see him a couple times being a brat but by the end he is just fully opposed to Sora hates him thinks is a big bad man because Melissa told him so and it's just willing to fight you and it's at this point of the game when you get to Hollow Bastion which is sort of the home like you know this is a Final Fantasy Disney crossover all the Disney characters for the most part are all from one world as opposed to the Disney guys who each get their own world they're all from Hollow Bastion you say Disney twice so which one oh I'm sorry all the Final Fantasy characters get one world and that is Hollow Bastion okay there you go everything else although the Disney characters get their own worlds like Sophie and two worlds okay wait Twilight town three worlds okay there you go three worlds very few words compared to the Disney guys there they're mostly from ala Bastian them but anyway so at this point there's a bombshell drops box Schoeller how we feeling what simple and clean is the way that you're making me feel tonight it's hard to let it go so bumpo whatever this morning is a little later on okay stop we continue our story with we get to Hollow Bastion for the first time Sora is a sees Riku there there the tensions mobility between the two the whole time finally Bob doesn't scare me demerits all around all right everybody shut up let's sit down and shut up let's get back to business okay so at this point right okay bombshell right bombshells being dropped turns out Sora is not the chosen man of the Keyblade he's not the chosen one turns out Riku was the chosen one of the keyblade all along and what happened was the jealousy and Riku starts back when the world is being consumed by darkness on destiny islands was just so intense at that moment that when when rig is being consumed by darkness is the world's dying he's reaching up Sora's reaching out to Riku to try to save him and in that moment the Keyblade senses more light like the Keyblade because it's the universe sort of making a decision since it's more light in Sora just some [ __ ] boy then in Riku who's being evil right now and it just jumps it just jumps to Sora and Sora becomes the keyblade's chosen one until now and now at this point the Keyblade now that Riku is asserting his ownership of the Keyblade he just mmm though and he steals the Keyblade because that's the thing anyone who tries to take the Keyblade that when the wielder tries to take it back they can just by will just kind of pull it back then what exactly is the purpose of the keyblade the keyblade is a weapon in Kingdom Hearts 1 the Keyblade is a weapon of Lights created by the universe to fight against the forces of the Heartless which are a cancer on the universe the multiverse even the world of darkness has invested like in Final Fantasy 3 the world of darkness also has a vested interest in balancing between light and dark so it - it exerts its will to protect that balance by giving Mickey a keyblade as well which is pretty cool and gets [ __ ] over later but anyway Jack what's up what about how Sora is like Sol predestined Keyblade because of reincarnation um well that comes into play around this area right here yeah it's just you have to take each of these piecemeal but we'll get to that good question because that is that is very relevant so the the short version of this is Riku steals back the Keyblade there's a big emotional thing where Goofy and Donald have to decide if they're going to do is the King Mickey commanded follow the key or stick with Sora and they the juice our friendship yay and and because they chose Sora Sora he's feeling real good about himself feeling lots of friendship that moment allows his heart to be the stronger between him and Riku and he takes back the Keyblade and he never loses that [ __ ] ever again so now now the Keyblade is just like I guess Sora is actually cooler so I'll just be with him for now so good job universe I mean it made an arbitrary decision to begin with so I don't really blame it for changing its mind I guess I don't know it's fine it's cool Jeff why did why did the universe decide that Hawaii [ __ ] baby like Riku well because he had a strong heart because he's really good at stuff he really does like we gotta give we got to give the super serum to this big tough mean guy but then but then you have that market threw himself on that grenade and he was like no we got to give it to this cool little guy actually no in the kingdom arts universe the big strong guy is the one who gets the keyblade and the other guy is Sora who steals it later bye-bye trickery and chicanery and whatnot and and [ __ ] power of friendship stuff whatever it's cool so anyway at this point riku's possessed by the forces of darkness and evil and and basically at this point we find out that all those Disney villains were you know puppeting all the strings are actually themselves puppets of Ansem of an some seeker of darkness so he is not revealed but he has a real in a funny way he's possessing riku's body so if at this point it kind of calls into question how many of the events of all of Kmart's one that Riku did were in fact his own will or you know or and some secret knives yes so you can use her an imagination on that digit is there like is there a reason for the insistence on Ansem seeker of Darkness there you're gonna want to refer to this everyone is a nor there there's an excellent reason why I'm so accesed to hub that man because there's a lot to keep track of here okay so basically Sora can see he has a big the final big clash with Riku happens now and Riku is fully possessed by a seeker of darkness and oh and now we have learned the big plot that Anson was trying to achieve all along he wants to access the heart of all worlds and turn it to darkness you know King of Hearts the heart of everything which will [ __ ] up the whole universe the whole multiverse make it all darkness and [ __ ] and so in order to gain access to it what you need is there there is a universal concept a multiversal constant in Kingdom Hearts which is the seven princesses of light and the seven princesses of light are seven individuals with a heart that contains no darkness none whatsoever so remember how I said before every art has to have light and darkness or looking at a balance and get [ __ ] up these ones are unique exceptions to that rule and so there are a lot of more Disney Princesses you know Alice snow white you guys like that Jasmine but the other one is a Kyra Kyra is also a princess of light Dermott Alice from Alice in Wonderland she has a pure heart yeah she's not really a princess most of the CG is like my buck off through her chores and go to sleep for a gentle girl just a curious heart who loves I don't know ask no more I didn't make this [ __ ] up yeah but she's up she's a princess in heart it's true but but more importantly Carrie is one much it do jasmine so hot agree okay so we've learned the origins of what's going to O seven princess of light you see what you can do with there's a unique thing that you can do if you have all seven parts together you can make something called the Keyblade of people's hearts and that is API you really its name professor that's correct ol [ __ ] name well you went that they they just call it like the Keyblade it's really they call everything the Keyblade even though there's like five even than king auryx one there's three digit yeah like I was wondering about that cuz yeah there's the key there's there's only one Keyblade but you're a changes like I mean I remember playing with like 20 of them in that first game those chains don't forget to raise your hand but but yes um you see Sora has one Keyblade and if you notice something that's fancy little Keyblade he's got a there's a key chain that dangles down what he's actually replacing is the key chain which is a it's kind of like a trinket that's tied to his experiences in that world that sort of just projects his power into a new thing it's through his memories kind of yeah and that's it so it's the same Keyblade just with different powers kind of from different events in his life yeah that's one of the great mysteries the great disappointments of my life one day one day will crack that code and we'll find out why scholars still scholars still speculate let's see event so the king the keyblade of people's hearts oh that's right so it's the Keyblade of people's hearts is composed of you put together the seven parts the seven hearts of pure light the seven princess of hearts of lights hearts and it turns into a keyblade turns into a big spiky intimidating-looking keyblade though that's that's the rule they say in the game but they do it with only six of them so they're just they immediately break their own rules they've just established do it with just six so I guess the one we get is kind of [ __ ] up even though it works perfectly fine but anyway this boss fight at this point whereas our fights freaky with that Sora wins he knocks out Riku he's out cold and it's at this point that Sora has an epiphany he they've been wondering for a long time why it is that Riku that Kyrie won't wake up her body appears unharmed instead of her heart is missing from her body we've known that but where is that heart where did it go it's got to be somewhere it is in fact within Sora's heart that is where her heart is it's within him so in order to get it out he takes riku's Keyblade of people's hearts oh no turns on himself stabbed himself in the heart and releases two hearts come out of his body Kyra's heart and his own hearts and other stuff too but we'll get to that later this is like the most important thing that happens in the entire series and Kyra's heart immediately returns to her body and she's fine but Sora's heart is not fine and is again released from his body so his body at this point sort of disintegrates into light and and Rika Harry wakes up immediately and is totally fine she's like Sora oh my god what's happening and so his body just disappears and he's gone he's seemingly dead but we immediately start playing as a little heartless shadow like the weakest possible Heartless is what Sora's heart manifest says so by releasing it he got turned into a heartless but he still is his mind and people don't really know why this is the speculation is that because he did it to himself willingly it he preserved some kind of consciousness or whatever anyway almost immediately he finds three he finds Carrie she hugs him and he's fine he just turned by Jesus fire he's totally fine at this point I was not a big deal it's one of the most miraculous things in the series Jeff is it a big deal later oh it's a big deal it's a very big deal well actually the specific turning back to no actually that does have massive ramifications because there there are things that happened while he was a shadow that a real big deal later on for other characters all over the place here well we'll get to that Ben na not to get too much into specifics but are there other instances in this universe of people being turned into heartless and I'm being cured by love not by love but by more firmly established rules of Kingdom Hearts yes people have been harlot well under certain conditions yes under certain conditions yes vision so the seven princess is pure light rather than any pure darkness princess is to balance that skill no princesses but if you look over here there's seven hearts of light and thirteen things of darkness is a big thing that actually has real significance later on so not pure darkness no but there is there is a representative enough to balance the scale that's why it's 13 in reference to the seven princesses of light no there is no counterpart to them specifically but there is representation for the forces of darkness elsewhere in the universe and you could say the Heartless is one but there's there's more and the Keyblade Mickey has is the darkness key hashtag we need diverse games more more dark representatives we do need more representation too many light boys need some dark boys so okay let's see so source fine carries fine and the only thing left to do now is to they have discovered all the secrets they just have to go beat up and some seeker of darkness so they head to the end of the world which is the world composed of the decaying brews of other worlds and they find him and they fight him and basically their fight is a big old one of those and at the very end and some seeker of darkness appears to be a heartless he's kind of got a giant battleship heartless thing attached to him and when they beat him he he reaches out because they're they're real close to the realm of darkness he reaches out and he's like I've gotta get Kingdom Hearts and gotta I've got to see what's in there he was able to use the hearts when he had them he temporarily did have all seven like he was able to open a gateway to to Kingdom Arts in this world and so he opens it and as he smugly says he's he's just been defeated by Sora he's about to die and he needs darkness which is awesome Kingdom Hearts I got to get it it's in there and he opens the door and source says I know deep down in my brains heart the Kingdom Hearts is light and he opens the door and darkness was coming out but all the sudden the big light just shoots out of the door proving that hearts are in fact light Wow deep down inside that's a no demerit so at this point okay so the door - darkness oh and by the way that light finishes off add some seeker of darkness he is dead he has died he has passed away Ben was there any reason why an some thought kingdom hearts was darkness his research only found darkness so he had a very scientific foundation or I mean we can't look into his research to check his there's no peer-reviewed studies let's just say but he found only dark mist he thought it was really cool it made him think like that's the source of all power I gotta get that [ __ ] and so he went hard for it but it didn't work out turns out there's like net in that thing dang so um jack is that the last we'll hear of answer refer to the list here please they're all the people who are Ansem ins and all right her answer to that question so GG so it's the message of Kingdom Hearts one that science is stupid pretty much yes that's exactly all that you need the message is that magnets aren't real if our eyes aren't real something like so if you remember a service real deal in King Arts one and his motivation throughout the series is to find his friends he doesn't really care about protecting the world he does it because he's there but mostly it's about finding Rico specifically Rico and also carries sometimes and so at the end of the Kingdom Hearts 1 the the door - darkness or - with a hot - of Kingdom Hearts has been opened which does leave through the realm of darkness so this door is open right now and some is dead but the doors still open and they need to close it off because there's heartless in that realm of darkness and they can't let that [ __ ] out of there okay both its there's both yeah like there's it's it's it's really really vague but there's no wood you see it's like like okay the light is the core the - surrounded by darkness and maybe answer just didn't see through all the darkness - that like it's a husky Loki's scepter it's possible that the will the world's wield and some dead and that was their influence that caused that Jeff is it possible that like the light was just casting a big shadow and handsome is just really really [ __ ] stupid that is entirely possible people speculate that actually yes that because there's so much light in the center of Kingdom Hearts that it shadows yes that's one of the things that that people do talk about so yeah you know make sense to me and that's without light decay of darkness and vice versa closing the door what's that what no they're closing the door right the door has to be closed from either side so Sora and his buddies close from the light side Riku and by the way this is the first time of the game that Mickey Maps shows up and he's got his kick he just pops up after they defeated and was like I'm here to save everybody oh [ __ ] well let's close this door and they they close the door and they use their their respective key blades from either side of the door - sealed shut and Riku is still on the side of darkness so Sora is tragically separated from Riku once again and and Mickey and Donald or dialing goofier and from the king as well but in any case then at this point because if you recall this happens in the place called the end of the world and where all the remains of worlds were collected at this point they all woosh away because the influence over them is gone and just returned to full scale and they are revived so the worlds are saved digi so-so so to clarify yeah Mickey and Riku are now both in the world of darkness that's correct that's correct which is also Kingdom Hearts or edge a sports is around there it's adjacent to Kingdom Hearts or something like that this is really big not well never mind they never call it Kingdom Hearts in that game they Ansem does say he addresses Kingdom Hearts at the end as he's dying he says Kingdom Hearts is darkness but like Kingdom Hearts was not there cuz later on there's like other rules you have to use to get to Kingdom Hearts and it's really confusing the change in all the time we'll get to it with swords and order declares that he is positive that Kingdom Hearts his life has he ever even heard of Kingdom Hearts before it has never been mentioned okay but he believes he believes Kingdom Hearts there or does he just say that they Sora yeah source says I know deep down in my heart and if Kingdom Hearts is light that's the quote he just it sounds like it would be you know based on name based on the name bad gesture what a demerit he's had so vengeance he's learned that hearts are full of light he's ladies games and life experience hip out of the kingdom of them I would also be sad there you go if Anson thought Kingdom house was darkness yeah I was he what what was he trying to do to it if he was already gained influence over it he's a scientist who just wanted to know [ __ ] and I guess also he thought making the world darkness would be a good idea his motivations are not super clear he's a scientist who was really fixated on darkness he was like that's the ultimate darkness gotta get there and that's kind of what the villains do in Kingdom Hearts and that's the king guards one so we we did it I did it yeah Thank You Nomura Kmart Swan has by far the most coherent plots and that should tell you something about the remaining games in the series it's it's a very quaint plot about a boy on an adventure Disney worlds saving his friends big bad guy to be at the end their quaint plot about the entire cast of Final Fantasy so in Kingdom Hearts chain of Memories things get off the rails oh thanks get nuts digit oh I beat that one you did for the GBA yeah yeah good job that's what I'm fond of that game Jeff dizzy did you beat both versions of it no dude I particularly like the the remake for the ps2 bad is that the one with the card that's correct cards are the thing to know Jeff but I was asking to be chapter oh I don't know probably doesn't know it's been 10 plus years yeah please for 12 years since I played it I'm sure you remembers very little if any okay so in I hate any of the cutscenes fantastic we're off to a great start well that's why we're here at PCP University to clarify these these gaps in our brains so chain of memories all you really need to know is that cheetah memory is a big setup piece for Kingdom Hearts 2 it's incredibly complex and it's so inextricably linked for the events of Kino arts too it's it's unreal so what you need to know is that Sora has gone on a quest to find Riku and the King once again because they're gone the rest of the world to find Kairi spine she's back on destiny islands but Riku of the King are elsewhere who knows where the [ __ ] they went so they need to go find him and that's what they do they end up in a place called Castle oblivion there they're just wandering and they find this place the world's kind of gave them a path led them to this world in betwixt called castle oblivion and castle oblivion has some unique properties when you go in the further you go into the castle the more you forget and your memories turn into cards you know it's a gimmick to turn things into cards but it also has massive ramifications for the story which are way more interesting so the gameplay is fine but bent are the cards specifically mentioned in other games the cards are never the cards themselves are not much of a factor in other games because they they only really matter in that castle but the the ramifications of the cars as memories have massive implications elsewhere okay right so what you know about castle oblivion is that it's being run by half of organization thirteen or the organization as they call themselves they're a group of thirteen nobodies and inching the memories we have no idea what that is or what that means so we'll get to that in a little bit but they're just there's like I think like five really powerful bad guys who are in custody and trying to beat up Sora or control Sora and Riku by the way is also there he shows up after Sora and has his own adventure parallel to it digit the thirty thirteen the organization yes those are the goth kids who literally everyone ever cosplayed in high school right that's correct including me of course yeah it's needed no clarification the organization is is the most hot topic group that has ever existed and we're in love it's like identical black trench coats to chains all over the dam they're all basically opinion from Hellraiser been if organization xiii ototoxic you oh it's a tough one yep organization thirteen was like the number one default original care after creation factory for I made a few in my own day oh yeah all you need is great it doesn't matter Frank organization 13 soul society free free yeah that's and that was the thing at what 2006 Kmart's to came out in 2006 and inch into memories I mean was a gba game people didn't pay that much attention to it it was when Kingdom Hearts 2 came out but things really got kicked up in here when when would be a whole organization ship but every organization member has like a specific element and a specific weapon and that makes them special and unique and edgy as [ __ ] and the coolest guys of all times no there you go yeah dick demyx demyx is tough he's real hard don't like fighting him he's not fun I was gonna say which one was my favourite but then I remembered a bunch of others that are also my favor okay we're getting let's move alike so it's just it's just so cool they're so I don't want to dwell on them it can't be overstated how cool the organization members are it's really true can't tell it being meand no lecture on Kingdom Hearts 2 lore right now if I didn't think these are the coolest characters who ever existed that's not a joke don't let hey how we feeling simple and clean is the way that you make so we're in castle oblivion Sora is just there and he's being led on by the members of organization 13 who are there who tell him that they have Riku they're just stringing him along just do you know come further into the castle will get you mean well they have specific plans they are trying to control Sora to do some [ __ ] because he used the key built Keyblade wielder and he's got that's important to us they're trying to do stuff with that and Riku is also there in parallel trying to just chase down Sora and protect him but he's facing a he's facing an issue right now because Riku if you recall was possessed by an some seeker of darkness at this point the that that sort of spirit of Ansem is still sort of alive within Riku and is currently fighting to gain control over riku's body so all throughout chain of Memories Riku struggles really that the darkness in it was gonna overtake him he's gonna turn into Ansem again it's a big thing did you I don't think we clarified like okay so really keep Riku was beaten at the end of Kingdom Hearts oh and so and some died but like it's Riku a good guy now essentially yes yeah it was kind of assumed that once this [ __ ] there yeah their adventures by the end made them on pretty good terms at the end of Kingdom Hearts one for the most but they got over there it was pretty childish in universe 1 if it was all so simple and clean and pure Ben and he retained the cave Keyblade of people's hearts oh I should have said after Sora stabbed himself the hearts in the keyblade exploded into the six and they returned to their to the Disney Princesses and their five so the Keyblade of people hearts is no more that's correct and never is to be seen again throughout the series so Rika doesn't have a keyblade not yet yeah Jeff he yes he will show up shortly because everyone's memories are currently being [ __ ] with in castle oblivion at least that's how it appears at first as Sora goes to the castle his memories are being manipulated in fact not by the castle this is kind of the end of the story there but by there is a specific individual in that castle who has a unique ability to control specifically Sora's memories and the people tied them chain of Memories refers to the sort of a sequence of the connections between hearts that Sora has formed over his adventures that's this is what it means and there so this character nominee nominee is a girl who is being held captive by the organization members at the castle whose leader is number 11 of the organization [ __ ] Lucia and they're using her from a fairies purposes did you it's not mean a the white haired girl that's in the FMV sequences that all the AMD's are made out of yeah she's blonde but yes that's the one she wears a white dress she has super cute love her to bits want to kiss her on the lips it's never clarified until Kingdom Hearts 2 so you're just where I was your where everyone was when they're playing where they play in this game all we know is that right now they have some plan that requires control over Sora that's what they're trying to do to get the Keyblade so sorry is at the castle oblivion he is in the castle that's right well to clarify there a third because he was told to Riku was there by the organisation members that's why there's 13 minutes not just called 13 there's 13 root of 13 well yeah for UK there's 13 well there's a 14th who's important too but we'll get to her in peanut where it's three five eight over two days for the 30s for the identity yes yeah there's 13 members that's all you need to know anyway so the point is Sora just goes through the castle he's losing memories and by the end of the thing he has it's it's acted pretty haunting he has forgotten a lot of people and actually one of the most creepy things is that his memories of Kairi are being replaced with memories of nómine in her role in his life so his love for Kyrie is being you know and we know that nómine is a girl in the castle being controlled by the organization they're replacing Kyra's place in his heart they're manipulating the chain of memories that's nominees power to you know swap out nominate for Kyrie so that they'll be able to control nominate and then control Sora by doing that because he'll do whatever you know nominee says to do and so okay so we get to the end and basically so at this point Sora is obsessed with saving nominee that's what he wants to do more than anything else in the world he gets to the end he's defeated I believe three organization members at this point he's just like a kid who has killed these adults with Super God powers so he's pretty strong at this point he's doing quite well he gets to the end and he fights marluxia the leader he defeats him and its face to face with nominee and nominee is now freed her captors have been have been dispatched and which no one expected which is very hard to believe because he's really he's a little kid but he did it so he's really strong and nómine just apologizes and throughout this whole this world all ordeal she's been forced to do this she had no desire to do this at all she was she just would have been killed if she hadn't done it so at this point she says okay Sora I really [ __ ] you up dude I'm sorry about that but we can fix it all but it's gonna take a long time it's gonna take I'm gonna have to put you into cryostasis in order to heal what I have done to you and put all the memories back exactly where they were so Sora has formed a real bond with nominate over this thing you know but with both real and fake memories but because sorry this is this is actually important believe it or not because the memories have been manipulated in such a way that the ones that exist now are fake in order to fix the damaged nominee has to just undo all the memories of that they actually had together of nominee and Sora so he won't remember nominate at all and that's relevant because memories are super important in Kingdom Hearts and they do a lot of stuff so she's gonna fix him but he's gonna forget everything that happened in Olivia and is going to only remember things up to the beginning or to up to the end of Kmart swine so that's where we're at and by the way then so was chain of memories entirely reckoned out well ok you could go to red cotton but it is all perfectly he doesn't remember anything that happened in it so it's kind of like a red calming mechanism even though the events in stay relevant in other ways oh I definitely do not think so but I was going to say because riku has another story that happens throughout the whole thing that is perfectly normal and Laura there's no problems with the lure of riku's events because at the end so that's the thing riku this whole time is sort of following along behind soar and when he gets to the end he knows that Sora has been [ __ ] up real bad and by the way Riku you once you beat Soros or you can play the riku's riku's memories are not affected at all I am I being there because nomination only control Sora's memories so he's perfectly fine he just beats a bunch of organization members he gets to the end and also we're introduced to and this is where memories start to be really important a Riku replica this guy what's his name Zig no not xigbar xaldin there's a they all have an X in their name the Enzo is this real name what does it matter Ixion thank you yeah that sounds right yeah no it doesn't that's a Final Fantasy 10 7 whatever it doesn't matter one of the sciency guys in the organization takes some memories siphoned off of Riku can just he kind of phases through him and steal some memories which you can just do I guess and he turns those into a Riku replica and over the course of chain of Memories the Rika replica fights Sora in sorcery a bunch of times and it also fights rig through a bunch of times and you might think it's a cost-saving measure to just reuse the same boss but you'd be correct but also its plot relevant because at the end he has his own arc and is the only character in the series to actually die he doesn't do any no heartless nothing crazy happens of that guy he just dies I think he said he's seppuku 'he's taking out one of the organization didn't [ __ ] Dyer is it because he's everybody else he's not are you talking about Xan are ya Adams not dead as was not dead he was defeated but his heart went elsewhere I mean when you're killed with the Keyblade you don't really die you just turned into a heart and you rejoin the collective but there was there was speculation about whether or not Riku replicas even had a heart so and this time to do a theme about what does it doesn't have a heart in Kingdom Hearts myths it's all over the place man really not have any idea what a heart even is we also don't know who's got one to some extent there was some extent he was a real vague man that's just how Nomura likes it yeah so he has the end of chain of Memories and basically oh and Riku finally has the end of his arc where he does he has a final battle against the darkness within himself as Ansem seek nur of darkness and he wins and at this point he has mastered the darkness in himself at long last and is able to sort of be at peace with himself even he can use both darkness and light powers it's all cool it's fine he's fine and he's just he's dedicated himself to the cause now because he knows that Riku that store is in slumber to protecting Sora while while he sleeps until nómine is able to repair his memories so that's where we're left at the end of Kingdom Hearts chain of Memories for the GBA and later for the ps2 and that's when we get to the one the big one the big game in all of King of Hearts Lord Kingdom Hearts 2 for the PlayStation 2 released in I believe 2006 and this is where everything that happens in jada memories finally pays off so we deal with everything to do with the remaining organization members we learn why they were doing what they're doing it as best as Nomura is able to explain it and lots of seeds are sown for future games and for the most part they're all they've all been fairly faithfully addressed so far of the narrative so King Hearts 2 starts with Sora being revived but there's a section before so it comes back to where we play as a character named Roxas and Roxas is my favorite character and all Kingdom Hearts because he's so angry about everything so you start the game as this totally totally separate character that we've never seen before named Roxas he just spends a couple of days doing homework but weird things start to happen in his life he lives in a place called Twilight town and number introduced to nobodies who are these weird gray things that aren't heartless but function in a very similar way and we don't know what they are we don't know what but Twilight town is full of them and so eventually over the course of the days we learned that actually what's going on is that we are in a virtual simulation and Roxas was is a prisoner they're being held there by what appears to be a revived Ansem seeker of darkness and a weird guy named is we don't know who that is but they have Roxas his body here and they appear to be trying to help Sora come back to life ok so that's that's their goal to help Sora and it involves Roxas in some way but eventually what happens is the organization infiltrates this data world that where they were trying to sort of protect Roxas Oh Roxas gets the Keyblade Roxas just gets the Keyblade and he charges into where there's people um we don't know at this point but we know there's a connection between Roxas Sora rock just keeps having dreams about Sora and there's there's a moment where Kyrie who we've now seen is it's a year later from when the worlds were saved at the end of part 1 and we see that Kyrie has got longer hair she's older she's hanging out with selphie own destiny islands and she has a moment where she connects with Roxas psychically and they kind of talked to each other briefly and it's really weird we don't know what the heck's going on with that but ultimately what happens is Roxas is able to kind of beat up everyone try to stop him get to sort of the the home base of of the guys who have imprisoned them it is and the anthem seeker of Darkness guy and he finds their Sora's body a service body is in its cocoon where he's been for a year and it's at this point that rocks is he disappears and we don't know what the [ __ ] happened to him he's gone and we start playing as Sora we start up from that exact spot pick up the game is Sora and so now that were Sora basically there's these nobodies are still around and we don't know what the [ __ ] they are so sore starts to investigate what there he meets Mickey's old Keyblade master yen SID and he tells him that well Sora by the way Goofy and Donald are back with him they're all together again and they they do in fact have no memory of nómine the first thing I do when they wake up is check their journal to see what happened because they have Jiminy Cricket who keeps the journal and he just there's just one note that says thank nominate but they have no memory of what that means they'd forgotten everything oh I don't know they knew if you remember nothing because their memories were also being [ __ ] with because I was so closely linked to Sora like it was their members were getting [ __ ] up as well change yes yeah because everyone's connected all the change where's the other two put into stasis in memory repairs process as well or does just the fact that it was done to Sora also do it to them they were put into stasis as well because their memories the castle I think the castle made it easier to manipulate memories or something like nominees powers were particularly potent in the castle so their members got [ __ ] up too and they had to be fixed as well ok ok so we now learn what nobodies are ok we could refer to our chart finally thank God so yen sid tells us that there's a new threat in the world and they've only recently taken notice of and they are called nobodies and then nobody is super cool they're super cool so when you take a person and an irreverent person is a soul plus a heart plus a body when you take a person and you remove just the heart from them they retain the soul and the body and what can happen sometimes if that person has a strong will that remaining the remaining body and soul can manifest in the form of a nobody and nobody is they they kind of look like a heartless they're weird and this is their symbol and if you have a really strong will if you have a really strong will that you can in fact retain your human shape it's kind of like DBZ when you die you know if you die if you have a strong will you stay human kind of like that so it turns out that the organization is composed of nobodies there are people who were turning a heartless but they had such strong convictions and whatever they were trying to do they weren't aimed their human shape and abilities spent what happens to your body and soul if you don't have a strong enough will to become a heartless it's just it just dissipates it just goes away yeah yeah it doesn't go comatose oh that's because there's another brilliant factor to that well lastly the Kyrie oh those tire you said this Kyrie had a heart removed and she was just maleficent just had your body special case special case did you okay so the nobody's that you fight the other just great monsters they are themselves strong-willed people but even stronger willed people are the nobodies who are still human that's correct yeah yeah yeah well you know there are also degrees of how powerful nobodies are like there are the really [ __ ] ones which are I guess they're just barely over the bar to being a nobody they're kind of formless and they kind of undulating change shape a lot and then there's the more powerful ones and then there's the the organization guys who are like the strongest hippo what the hell the souls do with anything Souls I've never addressed as to what the [ __ ] they do it's just known that like the soul is what keeps you alive without a heart it's what I don't know man I mean I didn't I would assume that if a nobody like if the organization are nobodies then the soul is like their personality right yeah I'm sure that that's right whereas the heart is their literal emotion like so this is not this is not a materialistic universe of course at all so the souls exist in Kingdom Hearts and they do something important that's not really specified in Jeff the soul is like the core personality whereas actions that people have with other people memories are definitely related to hearts that's for sure because the nobodies don't have length strict memories of their past lives do they actually they do it there are certain conditions okay we're just talking about this right now so when a person turns into a nobody if they're if a heartless is formed at the same time if you are a full-fledged like organization level nobody then what happens is your memories are sort of like they are sort of data processed from your hearts which is currently turning into a heartless and is fed into your nobody and if that process is interrupted then you won't have all your memories so for example I mean there's no reason to beat around the bush Roxas is is Sora's nobody Baraka season facts there was nobody who was created when when the Soraa used the the keyblade of people's hearts to remove his heart and turned into a heartless his body which disappeared became a nobody Roxas which formed in Twilight town and it's in that that nobody all of Sora's memories sort of started to filter across into Roxas which is why Roxas has these weird like semi memories of Sora sometimes but but Sora woke up really really fast remember I said how fast Sora came back to life after being turned to a heartless that was actually very important because it made rocks is sort of just an empty shell of a man and and then Sora got back like 95% of his memories as opposed to have normally Roxas would have had all Swords you would have just been Sora basically just in nobody for me I think I see where this is going or though there's got to be a connection between the lost memories that nominee removes and Roxas there certainly is there certainly it's Jeff isn't like Roxas not really Sora's nobody isn't he like the nobody the person inside it's he is he is without a doubt it's been no more has been asked this question of saying no he's definitely Sora's nobody but yes there are special conditions that relate to him being Sora's nobody which we will get to what are you talking about Kingdom Hearts birth by Sleep Ben so when someone is under certain circumstances their heart becomes a nobody their bodies will become their heart becomes a heartless their that's right I'll become an OB what happens if the heartless and the nobody meet each other if they meet each other okay that if the heartless means the nobody and the nobody encounter one another it love no and what happens if the heartless means the nobody but they're had there are cases I know that Sora meets Roxas that's right but he's not we don't know what would happen if a heartless been a nobody I suspect that it would be incompatible because the heartless is like a corrupt person it's not like that part is like ready to just come back you know okay so there but there are there are situations where if a heartless dies then what happens if a heartless is defeated by the Keyblade specifically that heart begins to float out in the interdimensional void it's sort of protected from outside forces it then sits there awaiting it's nobody to also be defeated by the Keyblade and if that happens then the to recombine and the original somebody is what people are called is produced really so that's yeah you can bring back somebody who's been turning to heartless or nobody you're right by defeating both their heartless and their nobody in that specific order which is important really because if he orders a nobody first their body will just go away forever oh my god so it's important to do that in the right order don't [ __ ] that up Jeff so Kingdom Hearts - yes your life spontaneously generating a lot of human beings in the middle of space there their hearts do float out in that void for a long time well actually no because in Kingdom Hearts - what the organization is doing is the organisation has somehow co-opted the keyblade's unique ability to revive hearts and they have they have sort of diverted that stream through science mechanisms into what they call Kingdom Hearts but is definitely not Kingdom Hearts they there's a in Kingdom Hearts - what's going on is that so and some seeker of Darkness right he was the bad guy in Kmart's one actually he was an answer he was a dude named Zayin art he had stolen his master Ansem the wise he had stolen his ident d after add some of the Y's told him to stop his research into the hearts in people's darkness into the darkness of people's hearts and had cast answered the whys out into the realm of darkness and him Xander and his fellow disciples of Ansem the wise took over and started just going crazy doing experiments so this is clearly a retcon but whatever it's just how it is there's there's a bunch of like little things that don't make sense here like there's these things called the the answer reports in Kingdom Hearts 1 and in Kingdom Hearts 2 it's revealed that all of them except for one were faked and were said to be by The Apprentice Podrick odo we're sent to me by the original answer but actually by the apprentice only one was actually by them it's [ __ ] up it doesn't really matter who wrote them though they're still true it does matter because there's a lot of referring to like I did this and I did experiments that you know killed everybody and so it's just there's no more [ __ ] up but he's still a god so you know yeah it's fine okay so so their goal in this game is to so they're all nobodies right their goal has become to regain their selves and because we don't actually that the characters in the world don't actually know because actually nobodies are a pretty new phenomenon Heartless have only been manufactured for like maybe like ten years or something since the original experiments that they inert and and the other apprentices have done started the proliferation of heartless throughout the the world of light nobodies are a fairly new thing the organization's real goal that's right yeah their real goal was to take all the hearts they could get and smush them together and make hearts for themselves because we didn't talk about this before but the main downside to being a nobody is that you have no emotions you don't have any emotions you feel real sad all the time well actually don't even feel sad you feel nothing are they sad that they don't have any emotions actually it kind of seems like they are yes this is one of the biggest [ __ ] you would think that someone who has no emotions wouldn't be motivated to do anything to change it and yet they're super motivated Jeff Axl is clearly in love with Roxas that's that's kind of me okay as we find out wait later that was totally [ __ ] and wasn't true at all and every nobody will eventually regrow a heart so you can throw all this [ __ ] out the window but for Kingdom Hearts 2 this was totally true so you know it still matters in the context of Kingdom Hearts 2 right around dream Drop Distance is where this all goes in the trash so the ultimate point of king auryx 2 is to sort of discover who the [ __ ] Roxas was that you played it at the beginning of the game would you find out later is you know he's he's nobody of Sora and to find out who the [ __ ] nominee was because that was unclear in chain of Memories and to know what happened to Roxas Aznar networks or Riku the king and what state the world is in following the events of Kingdom Hearts 1 so turns out that that guy who looked like ants of seeker of Darkness was in fact Riku Riku had he hadn't turned evil and given into darkness but he found that if he sort of took on the shape of ant some seeker of darkness and that's why I called mansaf secret of darkness because he is not an some totally different guy we're talking about Ansem seeker of darkness the main villain of Kingdom Hearts 1 versus Ansem the wise versus answered the wise who's the real answer that's right digit to clarify and some the real answer is not Sora or zina hard no but he is very related to him I mean there's but he is not he is a he says oh he has no connection physically or biologically to anybody's basically backstory he's not yeah kind of did you just say that Riku was and some secret of darkness the villain from Kingdom Hearts 1 he has taken all the appearance of him in Kingdom Hearts 2 so it's he wasn't actually also the villain in the first game he was possessed yeah yeah new thing in Kingdom Hearts 2 is just Rika has decided to luck that's right and he did that because he gets a power boost when he does it and you see rebooting Regas Riku had been doing in between the events of Kingdom Hearts chain of Memories had been why is he in a power boost by looking like Ansem because it's really convenient I don't know you know why so it could be so it could be a cool thing where he looks like anthem now and so they can still a lot and yeah and trick you for the whole game so he can look like Ansem second of all why does he need a power boost why would that help well I mean there was one scene I mean I feel like this is the justification for why he looks like an Sun but there is a scene throughout Kmart's too that you see where Roxas soso Rica's gold throughout King Hearts 2 and beforehand was to reunite Roxas with Sora because as we find out Roxas had a whole bunch of memories that were when would nominee was [ __ ] up with the chains a lot of that stuff just ended up with Roxas and Sora needed them links back in order to be revived fully as as his own dude so they needed to kidnap and murder Roxas in order to resurrect Sora that's that's fact and that was riku's primary goal throughout the events of the 4k arts - although reef Sora was already been angered by the time that happened well it's before kiyomatsu starts that he's drunk Roxas being kidnapped is because Riku kidnapped him and beat him up and put him in a date of thing this is wild Sora was in the comatose pod that's correct there's so many things happen well horizontal why didn't why didn't Riku think that sort of would just wake up and be okay like nominates anyone because not what I said that he wouldn't but you I mean because complications arose complications arose which is because the tag line of Kingdom Hearts that's right because because Roxas has like five percent of Sora's memories and he got me he got me way more later because in the events of Kingdom Hearts 3 5 8 over two days memory manipulation becomes an even bigger deal and started spiraling out for the recur replicas events of chain of memories well in any case Kingdom Hearts 2 will go back to that in a second but King works to sort of wraps up with Sora finding Riku they just as soon as they meet they like immediately cure him looking like he was sort of stuck looking like an some secret of Darkness which is why he hides from Sora throughout the whole game because he's ashamed of how he looks which keeps Sora looking for him the whole game as soon as they meet so it immediately cures it Sora doesn't do it himself but there's like a magic machine in the next room that they used to cure it it was great it could have done anything it could have done anything but it cured Riku immediately awesome awesome I just so in support of this so okay and basically they're just trying to beat up the organization because the organization's goal like I said before they're they're manipulating Sora too they're they're [ __ ] with worlds to create heartless so that Sora will beat up those heartless with his Keyblade because only he can do this to take those hearts and send them along a path that they manipulate to form their fake kingdom hearts in this world called the world that never was which is sort of the nobody hub world and they will use that that their plan is to use that to give themselves back hearts because they're sad that they're nobodies even though they have no emotions there you go I guess that's the one emotion they have but they want a heart I don't know never addressed but in any case so that gets the DP they kill sort of slaughters every member of organization 13 it's awesome it's rad some of the best boss fights ever so event because he has not slain their corresponding heartless they're just being dissolved all the cool ones it turns out later had their heartless is conveniently killed okay I mean I guess they were just some of the Heartless you killed I don't know yeah why not yeah why not more but only the cool yeah I mean like like look or number 10 you kill us nobody in Kmart's - in subsequent games we haven't seen him anywhere I guess he's just dead but axle axles fine axe is gonna be fine forever he's not going anywhere everyone will be fine nickimja parts there they will just keep making excuses to preserve people's life there's no don't worry about any of these characters and no one will ever leave except maybe use a nori bleach this whole series is bleach something literal I believe some people get every similarly in of 13 people who all wear the same outfit yeah this song have emotions the other half are just [ __ ] who cares and his dad's name never his mom's a demon he's 12 but he looks like he's old whatever okay anyway at the end of the game you've killed all the organizations basically the only one that's left is Samus so when you get to him he's he's you know he's he's got his Kingdom Hearts and he's gonna use it and you got to stop him cuz I mean he's just he's doing evil things you know you can't let him keep doing that it eventually boils down to uh you get separated from your friends Sora and Riku 1v1 xemnas and it's awesome as radical yes I'm treating them like one cuz they it's very gay they're very gay and in the end they win and Sora and Riku eventually make their way back to destiny islands and it's great and that's everything's awesome and that's pretty much how keen wants to resolves did you does Kyrie ever mean anything again to the story she's got a key plate now she's back baby we spent like an hour talking about the the intro to Kingdom Hearts 2 and then is the end then they win and then as the end no the intro is what takes the time to set up all the act the events are incredibly simple they fight the bad guys and they win it's all the lore and the that's the stuff people have trouble digesting did you does does the Disney [ __ ] even matter and King did you this issue doesn't matter at all in fact the final fantasy doesn't matter at all what are the villains what are all the Disney villains doing in Kingdom Hearts okay the thing is those characters only mattered in Kingdom Hearts 1 they don't matter ever again they're like Maleficent is still kind of a bit player and Pete like Mickey's rival from the old Mickey Mouse cartoons him and Maleficent in key parts to do you just fight that they're the organization 13 members in the the Disney worlds like who are the final bosses of the Disney worlds for the most part they're either well they're either heartless that have been unleashed by the organization or the organization members themselves that's basically what it boils down to so this is when it's kind of like the Disney SH is not as important to the series and it never will be again it's only relevant in parts one it's a iconography that's hanging around because okay okay first of all munchies world you certainly do they're just they're less and less relevant and the Kingdom Hearts specific law becomes more and more overbearing which is there's a sweet spot for it okay in P Mart's - maybe it'll be better Ben why are you going to all these different worlds in from the hearts - because your quest is to find Riku that's what you're doing you're trying to find Riku and then you find problems and because you're a good guy you just help get the Keyblade guy Tom suit up let's see any other details that are important oh so when asked about Kyrie pushes a Keyblade yeah okay so in key words - out of [ __ ] nowhere Riku just shows up by the way requisite Keyblade now he just got it he's just got it same question why it's sort of the headline Mickey's are they're just more than toon well now is where things go off the rails with key blades well first let's address Kyrie so Riku just walks into the room pulls out a keyblade we've never seen before gives it to Kyrie says fight these heartless she goes to fight some shadow never comes up again in Kingdom Hearts - never addressed nothing but this is an addition to the other key he has well yeah he's just he's got one despair we we know where Kairos came from now but it was never addressed in king of ours - okay prime also been Roxas had to keyblades right we will get to White Rock Cassetti okie blaze but yes Roxas heaven yeah carries when she wears the cute pink jacket in the sea it looks like a rebel bean she was a tiny Thai if I recall correctly in Kingdom Hearts - but when she's wearing a schoolgirl outfit yes Jenna's wear a tiny tag was she's super cute I love her very much I'm just my knowledge of Kingdom Hearts 2 is mostly based around having seen like thousands of a.m. vs to set like every song I like wake me up yeah I'm working on that one yeah but it was like all just the FMV sequence from the beginning of the game was like all that was used in all the same yeah I'm not surprised the animation quality throughout most of the game is fairly but the FMB Square Enix as Square Enix does are beautiful Tom everything you love to listen back to this a thousand times in order to parse it properly I guess I guess my question right now is yeah as someone who's never played any of these games it's the blog even the reason to play these games I would say Kingdom Hearts 1 is a charming story about childhood and adventure and and dealing with you know real teenage drama that we all go through and it is a story worth paying attention to to some degree for the rest of it it is basically a vehicle for really cool boss fights and that's cool and keyblades are cool but no no not really it's really it's basically dead that's true it's very bleachy but what's your this deep there's no gettin out so many words to just resolves with everyone's back home everyone's fine though things are so done at the end of Kingdom Hearts 2 they really should have stopped there but then we would have only had this many games and there's all these other games we could so they decided to go back late oh right you know I didn't answer white Rico to Keyblade it's it's sort of implied but never directly addressed that when Riku like really found peace with himself and like truly became one with whatever like his Keyblade just showed up you know that's a stupid you should you just kept the other one that he got a zanpakuto yeah what's up well I think Riku thinks that would be maybe a dick move and is just you just moved on and he's right yeah he's right he's just moved on you know it's ours to keep like now just like his logic is realizing his logic is the same as our logic which is just I mean just Sora's just the Keyblade guy so let's all just get over it already with our lives hey maybe he could he just who knows I mean he got his own Keyblade now so whatever it all worked out for him sorry victus so now there's a everyone has a keyblade what's the point anymore you might say you might be disposed to say that it robs the Keyblade of all interest and coolness and value as a concept but [ __ ] you know digi what ultimately happened to Roxas in that game okay good good question so as we said the beginning of the game rocks would have disappeared and we don't really know what happened to him by the end of the game there there's a scene late in the game which is effectively where Roxas meets Sora there's this thing called dive into the heart in Kingdom Hearts which is sort of a place which is just it's just in Sora's heart which he visits occasionally for whatever reason and he meets Roxas there and they kind of just have a moment together and after that Roxas sort of he just sent him says like you're a good other this is the line and then he just disappears and after that sort materializes this the to become one Keyblade and this is just he's been absorbed in Iraq is in two stores but yeah that's the point then what happened good she is still doing things at the end of Kingdom Hearts two but at one point she meets Kyrie she finds Kyrie she's hurt nobody right oh I didn't explain her origin did I okay we have to go into that but Tom you question first when no no he doesn't actually at the beginning of Kingdom Hearts two he has developed the ability to use two key blades or Sora has that's correct and we'll all talk about that event but Jeff sighs stand up for a bit what's up isn't the dual wielding Keyblade thing related to keychain that just not quite not quite I'll tell you this the the dual Keyblade concept relates to the fact that Sora's heart has a little bit more going on inside there than your average heart and we'll get into that business or heaven here digi so all that at the beginning of the game when you have Roxas and you got all your friends right doing all this does any of the horseshit matter at all it has a huge [ __ ] because it makes you care about rise in it yes it's not your digi sucks and I always wanted to eat sea salt ice cream yeah who didn't want you to see snow I like [ __ ] like those [ __ ] skateboarding minigames the garbage [ __ ] controls and you jug it shakes like it's like rock wow cool guy and he has failed like that like 30 times look Rach you suck it yeah hey all right shut up give what's out you never explained why Brooks this has two key blades that I will when I talk about why soar does cuz they're the same reason what the hell is I'm gonna do that immediately with no okay the thing is though in Kingdom Hearts 1 everything was as it was presented everything was fine with energy horses and it was simple and clean everything was simple believe how we feel everybody [Music] address these later okay so nominees origin okay so as we said before kyuri is the princess of life yes and princesses of hearts have no darkness in their hearts so when a princess of heart loses her heart it cannot become a heartless because there's no darkness to start the chain reaction that makes you into a heartless that just can't happen to a princess of heart so normally what happens to one is what happens to carries body in Kmart's one their body and soul basically are comatose they just kind of hang out and their soul just drifts off to their heart just drifts off doing something untainted by darkness but in this specific case carries a heart took refuge in Sora's heart it kind of just burrowed in there and there's a moment they kind of face through each other and in that moment her heart went into Sora so way later when Sora releases Kyra's heart from within himself and it releases both of their hearts okay so when she became a heartless in the first place a nobody can't be formed without darkness and nobody has to have darkness to just like a heartless desk so that couldn't make a Harless at that well that could make a nobody at that point or heartless but when her heart specifically released from within Sora's body so two hearts were release it does have darkness Sora does have a little bit of Darkness he's not a perfect person so he's got a little bit of darkness when those two hearts were released from his body it formed two separate nobodies and those nobodies are Roxas who's just basically just for the most part just Sora's nobody and then nominate who kind of is a half and half between nómine and Kyrie princess of harpies weirdo witch whatever so she's basically their daughter in this ship Vic that is kh2 only way to honor she is specifically sort of a weird amalgam so she's not uh nobody she's her own thing she is never she is a nobody but she does she's gonna be somebody you can just think of her as Kyra's nobody like the comfortable thinking of it do so the way she says she's a totally of age in the same way that sama choose children are totally of age yes and I hate and when I say of age I mean these are thirteen year old children Jeff what's up yeah for those 14 to 14 so if if Sora bangs yes what percentage of masturbation would that be you mean for me 100% protection and artistic integrity demands we leave it up it okay so so is there yeah distinct is there just final clarified yes go ahead it's nominee this is very confusing how many different from a nobody yes she does have feelings she seems to have her own yeah so that makes her unique already because actually you know what no wait and I'm wrong I'm wrong I just remembered she says that she doesn't have feelings even though she acts like she does it's it's convoluted Todd what reason because yes they're good normally there could never be a princess of heart nobody but because it was released in this weird way with Sora's body his body was kind of divided up between Roxas and nomine in that moment and became the two guys did you okay so why do the nobodies have powers like the organ is part Sora - that's correct I thought I'd made that clear and and it is that weird connection to Sora that gives her her her weird chained memory manipulation powers it's that weird that's why it's that's right that's right but why does everybody else have powers in the organization I'll answer that in one second after I answer munchies question what's that much when the world was consumed by darkness like darkness was just everywhere it was just consuming everything in the whole [ __ ] world and she just like she's not like not super strong or anything able to resist darkness so even though she's pure light she just kind of got corrupted by it and her heart just got like duh stucked out of her body she just kind of died like everyone in the world just kind of died when the world fell into darkness because they haven't like there's a scene where they pass through each other it's like he dressed a catcher as she's being pushed by wind she phases right through it it's because everyone else died and became a heartless but she because she's a princess of heart her she couldn't become a heartless yeah that seems to be corrected it's own thing and decided to take this language it's possible that the other people ended up like Sora and just and just wound up on other weird transient worlds yeah so some of them that may happen to I Kyrie in particular just got kind of died she just kind of [ __ ] died and you know turn into a rear darkness self and there was a question you had about organization why do they have powers okay as it turns out their powers have nothing to do with being nobodies they have no relationship to that they just like Vexin was an ice scientist and he has AI powers the one really yeah so it's all sign so they all had those powers even before they became nobodies tragically yes it makes your well it's tragic because it how cool is it guys that nobodies would have specific elemental powers that reflect a personality like a sod pocket oh and bleach that's so cool I wouldn't be a nobody I'd fight it with my power would be nailed every night if you became a nobody ruins the fantasy of if you became a nobody you'd have powers because you just being well that's true what we know is that people these guys had these powers before they transform we have seen it in that that happened it's possible that they got more powers when they transformed unclear did you could you possibly like pick a couple of nobodies and explain why we care about them at all like cuz ya talk about any of their stories okay none of the organization members in pretty well okay some of the several of them are important okay so in the organization Roxas was taken under their wing as a member because they once Roxas would existed as a nobody he had the ability to use the Keyblade find that was to join he actually they sort of found him immediately after he was born and just kind of took him under their way okay so yeah well this is actually covered in the events of three five eight over two days whatever we used to talk about that now and he made good buddies with this guy axel so here's a nobody that everybody likes axel is a nobody he's uses fire powers and he's a he's a weirdo assassin guy but actually you I didn't mention this but what was actually happening in chain of Memories was that a faction of the organization was rebelling against other members trying to take over so more lucia who had control of nómine was was going to try to kill everyone else in the organization or something not really clear what his exact plan was but he was trying to gain control Sora to take control of the organization and Axel was sent in as an executioner excuse me by xemnas the number 1 which is so samus is an anagram of answer even though his original name was zan Nort he then stole Anselm's name turned into a heartless became an some seeker of darkness and then his nobody was Zemin and romance okay so we're clear on that and axel basically what you need to know about Axel's he was best friends with Roxas and it is it's implied through various points that their relationship it was hard to tell but it seemed that Roxas had the burgeoning x' of a heart within him at times he could feel things sometimes and actual vicariously occasionally felt glimmers of a heart in himself in emotions that should have been impossible but he felt it somehow and there are explanations for all these things these are explained in the lore why that happen which are related to Earth by sleep okay any other interestingly well actually as we find out in Kingdom Hearts 3 5 dream Drop Distance that was the original intention for them that was a secret plan that we didn't even know about in Kingdom Hearts 2 but it didn't end up working that way I'll explain the specific significance of these two they relate to zan warts larger goal beyond all this stuff and his original goal because zan art is more than he seems at first even even we'll get into it alright put it into it are we done with two now yeah we're done with you we already talked about how that result everyone's fine and everything but two does a note a little bit of a cliffhanger where they get a note in the mail a Kairi Riku and the sore are hanging out just announced they get a note in the mail that says it's from King Mickey and it's just like oh there's something I found like secret information in the journal you know the one that said thank you that I mentioned before there's like secret information in that and I'm gonna figure out what that is so come to the castle and we'll talk about it that letter is the last thing I ever experienced of Kingdom Hearts and as I never played I played chain of Memories but I never played any of the other side games and Kingdom Hearts 3 never happens then I should have I should have drawn there's a great divide after Kingdom Hearts 2 where so many people lost all interest with Kingdom Hearts because they just failed to make games that anyone gave a [ __ ] about besides the most hardcore fan specifically this is a problem with the game because if you'll notice ps2 ps2 ps2 those homemade section that was GBA first but then mobile game DS game DSPs P game 3 DS game mobile game ps3 they're all over the [ __ ] map these games were not on the same consoles people were not able to play them because they would have to buy whole new consoles that drove off tons of people from playing more of these games and it was a big [ __ ] to this day people have been waiting I don't know the over 10 years for Kingdom Hearts 3 I believe it's one of the most desired games and they just won't make it but it's finally coming announcement sir they're coming to vote one of those games has PSS written over what console is that where this yeah what PSS well I think I accidentally wrote PS 5 when I meant to write PS 3 prophetic well they are I debated putting them or not but I chose not to wait so they remade chain of Memories for ps2 they sure did there was a release of chain of Memories called read chain of Memories that was packaged with final mix 1 of Kingdom Hearts 1 I believe I think it just came with the game oh no no final mix 2 came with reiha chain of Memories and it was P was just remade as a ps2 game and it's pretty good I don't see any of the final mixes on here that well they're included within these I didn't specifically add them outside but there are final mixes versions of retain of memories is sort of counts as one Kingdom Hearts final mix is one you know where it's two final mixes one final mixes at first yes I pirated them and they are awesome but they do exist now in the form of these 1.5 and 2.5 which is how you can plan which is and these are great because these condense all these games over all these different consoles until you can just buy like a ps3 or ps4 and you'll have access to Larry can what the [ __ ] its final mix no there's like a HD re-release all you need to know is it's a special edition with extra bosses and extra stuff and the best game in the series by the way is kingdom hearts 2 final mix plus but you can just get that by getting seal order my Bolton full final like they they released these games like three times a piece before the HD remakes yeah so some of them I am really [ __ ] eager to get past Kingdom Hearts 2 and get it into all that [ __ ] below it yeah those will be much faster a lot of this stuff just just spawns from that dead Jack what's up I just want to point out that Kingdom Hearts 2 point 5 has the best bosses well that that is true because Kingdom Hearts 2 has the best bosses and final mix made more and they're great and 2.5 is just meditation so yeah the guitar guys you talked about demyx thanks yeah let's take our water guy along the ice guys Vexen is an [ __ ] okay anyway so three five eight over two days don't need to go into that too much that was swearing you skipped coated well the funny thing is just that these kid this is the release order of the games but action three five eight addresses issues or addresses the events between chain of Memories and two and all I need to know about that is it's pretty boring not that good it talks about the way Sora of the way Roxas was initiated into the organization and we learned about an important character actually the fourteenth member of organization xiii xi'an which is x io n original name number i that's who i was thinking of when I said accion okay and remember the the Riku replica that we talked about before was made of riku's memories so she on is a she's not actually a nobody she is a construct made of Sora's memories mostly of Kyrie so during the whole data transfer process that's going on some of those memories were scooped up by the organization and we're tear into Xian as sort of a backup in case Roxas died because it's really important they have someone who could use the Keyblade so Roxas actually ends up training Shion for a little while in order to get her to use the Keyblade then you can just make a person out of anything in this universe you really win and you really can't you just like so it's you just mix it all up in a big old pot you got some memories you got like a piece of leg you just put it on the pond and there you go interesting you got a guy there is there's a couple of events in Halloweentown specifically where a doctor the guy with the brain the doctor brain or whatever he just he throws a bunch of [ __ ] together like an oblique flowers and things that don't really seem that relevant and it just kind of comes alive and they make a heart what's her name that's who young no the main the main girl in Nightmare Before Christmas is just built by oh yeah she has a heart other things don't but yeah she's just a construct man I don't know can't explain it it doesn't make sense does that Conan or three we're talking about 35 he wasn't able to make a heart win that experiment oh well she was like an accident he didn't know why she was able to form heart he was trying to replicate it scientifically but there's just no understanding the mysteries of the heart you guys you just can't do it and it's also so don't try yeah don't by the way the name of three five eight over two days what that refers to specifically you have to play the whole [ __ ] game to figure out what this goddamn time means three five eight over 35 eight is the number of days in the game two is divided by two because it's like because it's like Sora's memories you guys are divided among two people Roxas and Shion this is the real logic of these timeline and days you know it took that many days so you know there you go and by the way it was exactly one year between when Sora went under went to sleep and Roxas was born and when Sora wakes up and and by the way this is 365 minus the seven days that Roxas spends in that date of town that you play at the beginning of Kingdom Hearts 2 so it all sort of makes sense kind of it doesn't matter Shion is important and by the end of that game by the way she on a sort of recruited by Riku to have she's told that without her memories that make her a person Sora will never be able to come back to life so she just willingly accepts that I need to die but she wasn't able to kill herself for some reason so she has what she tricks Roxas into murdering her and by the way they're best friends she under Oxus and axel are sort of a trio like Carrie Riku and Sora they're all best friends she tricked you into killing her right they Ryan it's like it's like poet you can say they do a lot of threes there's a lot of threes in this game see that one coming okay so that's it Shion is born and then dies and then King works too happens that's all I need to know Roxas makes friends with axel okay so go back to coding so code is the actual sequel technically to King Hearts 2 encoded all you really need to know is that there is secret data that relates to future games such as birth by Sleep and it's for some reason it's in the pages of the book which sort of makes sense because Sora's heart were starting to learn is really [ __ ] up and there's a lot of [ __ ] going on in there and some of that information has just leaked into this diary somehow which doesn't make any sense or didn't even write it and it's not data it's just a book but hey here we are in Kingdom Hearts land so it just happened and you play that game as a virtual Sora so that's kind of another sort who exist in the book you play that game in a datascape that's a data version of the book that Mickey made you're actually Mickey sort of playing this game because it plays a surah in the datascape that's correct okay but data Sora has a heart he's a real person who exists yeah that is just needlessly complicate no this is real this this has to happen to some real life just nonsense no more but that's it doesn't matter nothing there matters except there's information birth by sleep and then birth by Sleep happens yes I forgot to ask what about the trailer in Kingdom Hearts 2 that showed like the Knights and and all the key the Keyblade birth by Sleep is were all questions that's fun members that I had always wondered about that we will answer those questions forthwith digi so how long is coded and three five eight coded was originally a mobile game and was [ __ ] but was re-released years later I think it might even have been after birth by Sleep and it is it's a fairly healthy sized mobile game I don't know probably take 30 hours some like 30 hours it's a real game it's is for a fleshed-out game and yet all the information of words in it is what you just summarized they start to stretch things real thin later on I mean birth by Sleep is legit there's a lot of information there but but a phenomenon birth by Sleep is that the Disneyworld start to feel more and more useless and just a waste of our time because we're getting into deep kingdom hearts lower here Disney worlds are just a distraction then nobody cares about like oh there's a problem let's go deal with it doesn't matter but anyway okay let's get into what's happening in birth by Sleep so birth by Sleep is you can also call it peanut Bart's zero and that is a prequel which addresses the the things hinted throughout the series and in the secret ending of Kingdom Hearts 2 where we see a bunch of weirdo Knights they fight some dude with a weird a weird old man and do the mask and there's all these key blades everywhere and there's some references to the Keyblade war and some of those questions are answered here so in this game you play as three Keyblade warriors Ventus aqua and Terra Sora and company are nowhere to be seen so you flute you plays those guys being trained by this guy master air ax or Eric kiss or something and he's he's a keyblade master and he's training you to be Keyblade warriors and that's it in this world that's the thing they just do now they just do now you just do now in the past in the past that's for any okay so here's where the lure of keyblades has totally changed and now what it is is just there are a bunch of key blades and that they made them too fight darkness if that's it well I guess I guess Riku could make his own yeah now it's sort of makes sense how you could just Oh keyblades like now it's sort of is reasonable but totally doesn't make sense though he knows well yeah then what's the deal with Sora getting his like from the universe like that's still sort of true but doesn't matter and has never addressed anymore he just has a keyblade like everybody else there's there's more reason as to why Greek you got his Keyblade that's it so retcons but there is more addressed in this prequel game this is ten years no we're like eight years I think before the start of Kingdom Hearts 1 then also I don't think you ever got into why Roxas has two qiblas that's relates to this game and we will talk about okay and that kind of manifests at the end of this game so we'll get to that I'm sorry I keep asking all these these these these these nitpicky questions things I've wondered about since I gave up on the series a million years ago me too but I stood up with it and figured it out so there's these three Keyblade dudes and they're just they're hanging out having fun learning about keyblades learning about life and being cool and there it's time for the mark of mastery test which apparently is a really important thing for Keyblade users that means something and so there they called in another official masters an art masters an art is another guy who's like a peer of Master Eric's their teacher he's been called in to officiate and help judge who is fit to be a keyblade master the mark of mastery exam so by the way the two people competing for the exam are trying to get it are aqua and Terra Ventus is too young by the way Ventus looks exactly like Roxas in every way he just looks exactly like Roxas so keep that in mind Terra and Aqua don't look like anything in particular so so as the as the the exam happens basically Terra fails because he's got too much darkness in his heart and that's not good he's gonna ruin something or kill someone or something aqua passes though and aqua becomes a master which makes no tangible difference whatsoever but for some reasons is assisted upon as really important I don't know so moving along Master s4 has forbidden everyone from leaving the world until you passed your mark of mastery exam and Ventus doesn't like that he wants to go adventure Terra's frustrated by that too aqua is a good little girl who doesn't really mind but she has passed the exam and Master Xehanort has begun to whisper words into a terrorist ear about how you need to just get out there and see the world man this is [ __ ] up and he's keeping you here Ben Xander what is the one that later takes Anselm's name and becomes the villain of Kingdom Hearts 1 yes but he is an old-ass man right now how long ago in the past is this about eight years wait this is this this this whole thing with Ventus and such as eight years before the events of Kingdom Hearts 1 that's correct well I thought it was like centuries I would've thought so too but no okay so what we're learning here is that there just are people out there who just train with keyblades even just eight years before the start of King where it's one that are just I don't know they're like Power Rangers that go around and do stuff their own a lot of them a lot like most of them are wiped out or something so not a lot of them left but so so Tara thinks it's a great idea to do what masters a nor tells him to do and it's just like [ __ ] you guys I'm out of here and he because this is something they can do he just transforms his keyblade into a car and then just did he take his Keyblade and like mine putting it into animation slime to go vroom vroom did he drive it up a ramp over a shark you know it was cool though um that I mean this was actually sort of foreshadowed because in Kingdom Hearts 2 you act you see a guy at the beginning of wet when he does this car transformation before he summons this key big car or whatever he um he kind of summons this pair of Keyblade armor or the set of Keyblade armor and it's immediately recognizable to everyone who played Pina Mart's to final mix which was out of this time in Japan and in chaos 2 final mix there the super duper ultra mega secret boss is this guy called the lingering will I believe which is Tara's armor so it was no Dark Souls it is very dark yeah like Kingdom Hearts is awesome and putting it like super secret mega bosses that foreshadow events way later that make no sense now but are super cool and super fun so so that's a big plus for the series and and lingering will and key parts to possibly the best boss fight of all time and so in any case during during the fight in keno are 2 final mix when you're fighting lingering will which is just Tara's armor he can do attacks where he just transforms his keyblade into a car it just woohoo and you can transform it into like guns and shoot you and do it turn into a whip and just [ __ ] and go hand with that thing so these things are foreshadowed a little bit at that point but anyway at the beginning of birth by sleep better don't you have Terra's Keyblade I have a version of Terris Keyblade the Earthshaker that I carved out of wood and made myself of hangs on my room to this day and it's awesome it's it's mathematics fast it's been there forever and it's [ __ ] huge I'll get a picture of it or something yeah but it's it's awesome it's the coolest Keyblade ever actually here's the here's a little bit of [ __ ] in that trailer those key blades in the secret SuperDuper ending of Kingdom Hearts 2 where we saw a Tara and his cool Keyblade in addition to the boss fight it had no key chain and then everyone was like what does this mean that there's no key chain and then the breathlessly it just has a key chain so ok alright in a case so Tara has gone off and aqua is ordered by master Eric's to bring his ass back just bring him back because you know he's going to get into trouble and you're and by the way they're also talking about this non-interference thing again from Kingdom Hearts 1 this is important again to not [ __ ] up the worlds so so aqua goes off and Terra's off and Ventus has decided I'll actually Ventus gets us a visit from a weird guy who's like an apprentice of zan or who we don't know the name of now I think he says his name is Bonnie Tess at this point but he's wearing a helmet so we don't know what he looks like and he just he sort of tells Ventus that hey you don't know what's gonna happen to tear out there you know bad things could happen to Terra because it's it's established through some horrible cutscenes that these guys are best for it's terrible setup garbage but that's what happens that's what they are and so we Ventus also transforms this Keyblade into a [ __ ] car and just zooms out after he goes out after Tara just to make sure that I got was Joey did that moment when you notice that Ventus and manatees are both on the everywhere doesn't matter well we'll get to that I've been keeping up and keeping close tabs that's yeah that's this is where the actions net right down so okay so so everyone has now fled to the world's and actually birth but sleep is divided into three individual campaigns for each character that you can play in any order you please which is kind of cool except you have to play every world three times and is a little bit boring but in any case in all companies they have a few intersection points where they meet up and basically tension has risen incredibly high to the point where Terra kind of just hates the other guys he's basically exactly like Riku right now I was gonna say it's a massive recoupable is it kind of like Ben's this is the is the story and yeah Hera is the Riku and aqua isn't really anybody but she's by far the most competent and and cool and reasonable and also sexual is like that's exactly what she's like yes yeah and but she's she's real cool she's that she's the highest ranking best Keyblade user so she's cool but in any case tension is risen master Erica sorry masters an orb keeps just [ __ ] digging into Tara's ear being like hey darkness is actually pretty cool Master Eric's was afraid of how powerful you were gonna be you should go you should totally go full darkness it would be awesome if you did and so Terra's like yeah I'll just do some darkness no big deal and it's like just one puppet yes and he starts he gets some darkness powers whatever and yeah master Zeno is just passing that blood laterally to everybody in class but anyway ultimately okay things escalate massively when Tara goes back home when he's been told by masters an art has informed Tara that's currently Ventus is in danger of being killed by master Ericka's who's like the good guy you told me you know lights fine because he doesn't really say why but he's like isn't agent go help your friend so Tara zooms back home to the wherever the [ __ ] they live I forget the name of the world and he sees in fact master Eric is about to [ __ ] murder Ventus and the reason why that he doesn't explain is because there's some plot going on that masters Zayin arts has initiated that involves Ventus being alive and if he's alive it could happen and we can't let that happen so I have to kill you because then you know it's better than all this bad [ __ ] happening and by the way I think at this point we learned that it was actually Master Xehanort had actually dropped off ventus at mr. eric is's long ago so he was kind of his apprentice first so now there's sort of a reunion going on but in any case so now things get crazy and there's a boss fight between Tara and master Erica where Tara kills master Erica's he just bolts too hard with that Keyblade and Master Erica's just [ __ ] dies he doesn't like become a heart in space or something this is one of those times where well we don't kill a lot of people let a lot of like people people with the Keyblade so it's not really clear what would happen to someone but as far as we can tell he's just dead there's there's some questions about it later munching for yourself but where's your Keyblade bro where's your Keyblade okay so things have gone off the rails completely creature your life but for a good cause so now learning of this event sort of terror realizes that he's a [ __ ] idiot and by the way Tara's whole story has been like he goes to every Disney World and he hears like Maleficent say like well what about my desire to enslave the entire populace he's like you know what that sounds reasonable and he does this to like every Disney villain and then aqua comes in and says no that's a bad idea and then he you know she sets things right and Ventus just like and then he goes and then he leaves yeah that's pretty cool but you know once master erica's dies that's the final kind of chapter of things where they they all learned that master air kisses die and they convene at where Terra had been like meeting with master zan or to like you know get corrupted at this place called the Keyblade graveyard and that is a place from the famous ending of Kingdom Arts - which is just full the keyblade's and so the three put on their power armor and they go with like okay we did some bad things but we're gonna set things right you gotta kill this guy he's the bad guy we're gonna go take care of him and it'll all be good oh it by the way there are no heartless throughout the worlds there's instead an enemy called the Unversed the unrest which is not explained as to what it is they're just like the Unversed are going crazy we got to do something about it and that's why you initially go out to the world they're so after killing master Erica starin just like immediately realizes he [ __ ] up and joins the other two that's correct he's incredibly easily manipulated by good the forces of good and ale so they're all back together on the side of good again basically yeah they kind of did they put aside their differences once Terra realizes when a horrible mistake he's made and because he killed basically he might actually be his literal dad it's not quite clear but they're all just like okay I get it extenuating circumstances the thing is that like our friendship is the most powerful thing nothing could ever diminish our friendship even though the whole game is about how [ __ ] up it was and how ruined everyone's life but they eventually convene and they go to fight masters and or in the Keyblade graveyard and so he drops a little back story at this point when they they they're friendly confronting him where he says the Keyblade war was fought here did you guys know because there's this thing called okay here's things we'll get fully [ __ ] there's a thing called the Keyblade alright we're not talking about a keyblade we're talking about the Keyblade okay you're gonna have you're gonna have to spell this this isn't an X this is the Greek letter key or Chi yeah it pronounced it either way oh it's the key interchangeably from here on this just don't it we're off the rails there is in fact well the key points Lulu there was only one and then there be capable to blow you can sort of manufacture a queen a keyblade under specific conditions since as there any please tell me there's some functional difference between there is a massive functional difference yes so you look different they look very different yes yeah you look like the Keyblade like you can tell they don't looking at yes you can I mean the qiblah is a massive monstrosity that's a hideous it's like it's like - you know stores basically Keyblade is called the kingdom key it's like two of them crossed with a sword in the middle so it looks way different okay yeah and it does it has a very special property like you can just like even Terrence doesn't have giant monstrosity - that's true well it's it's got two key chains that combined into one key chain so that's that's different all right so here you go I don't I don't know man it's just it just is DIF just a so okay so now he dumps all the lore about why everything ever happened so there was a keyblade war because turns out there's a thing called a keyblade not a keyblade but a keyblade that you can to directly access Kingdom Hearts and whoever controls Kingdom Hearts controls the entire existence all of the multiverse all the worlds are controlled by the by Kingdom Hearts so when he was a young lad you know him and Erica were you know buddies they they were they were raised together they became masters together and he was really interested in learning about the secrets of darkness and the Kingdom Hearts but his master and Erika's for like no don't do that's no good so they adored piste and he just went to do [ __ ] on his own and he learned about all these secrets including that if you control this thing you can control the whole universe and he just he just really wants to know all the secrets that there are out there and he doesn't care what it takes he wants to just get there and he is really seen as a person controlling as finding out what the deal is Geoff so stop me if I'm going too far here okay you're saying science is evil there's a big pervading theme in Kingdom Hearts that everything that's natural is good everything that's manufactured is very evil so well for the most part that's not always true like the the monsters like Sally in Nightmare Before Christmas you know what you know it's evil knowledge is evil because sally was made and we don't know how she was made she just she just came to existence she's got a heart if you try to study anything and find out the secrets behind it that's evil don't ever do it that's wrong Tom well you know God gave us video games to print our image on too so so okay but in any case he also tells us that so everyone actually so at this point every kind of splits off into into different fights so so there's this guy who has been working with Zehner called brave who you would recognize at this point if you'd play team arts to first as there's the number two in the organization was sky names xigbar and break is an anagram of xigbar with an X which we now know is that organization names form he's the somebody of xigbar from King of Hearts - and kidding xigbar always implied that he had a lot more knowledge than he was letting on so everybody breaks off aqua goes to fight break masters and Orick fights terra who because he's really mad that he made him kill his dad and aqua and Ventus goes to fight vana toss his apprentice Jeff so so break is also seeing art well yes but we'll get to that that that's a mean that's a mean that will be relevant pretty soon in any case what we find out is that we'll start and things are different for everybody but first ventus faces off against banning tasks and the vanity toss was wearing a helmet this whole game and by the way if it would have been clear to most people that he sounds he's got a very familiar voice he takes off the helmet at long last and we see he does in fact have the visage of Sora from Kingdom Hearts to bunny toss yes bet I know there's going to be confusing so event this is Roxas yes that's correct why I'll tell you why this is explained at this time for the most part okay so when what Sora was born okay well that's okay Vanitas was an experiment created by saying art from ventus's heart so when ventus was vengeance with masters and ER okay was trying to form hearts of pure light and pure darkness that's his goal so what his plan is okay the reason why it relates to all the stuff with Akai blade or the Keyblade because okay now we can talk about the 7 to 13 thing he's just calling on Kyle you should probably call it the kind of it's an easy play okay okay if you fight a being of pure light against a being of pure darkness and they're equally matched the Chi blade just appears so if you have right equally matched pure light entity and pure dark entity and they fight and they are evenly matched the Keyblade just appears it just shows up that's one of the ways to make it happen and so what masters A&R did was so Ventus was his apprentice what he did was he was having Ventus be trained up so that he could chop his heart in half and have a a light half and a dark half this man yes have a heart of pure light he actually does and I'll tell you why because he actually did this when he so Bester's aider was trading Ventus and when he thought that he was strong enough he took his Keyblade and he [ __ ] cut ventus's heart in half he just like in training yes and by the way this totally undoes remember the unique function that the Keyblade of people's hearts had to manipulate hearts now just any Keyblade can do that so that's cool I don't remember that function well all right okay so Ventus was one of the player characters who's one of the three friends who looks like sorry yes Vanitas is his apprentice Vanitas was the apprentice of master xandred who was following him around that was being creepy to register game yes because because cool dog show isn't one of the Keyblade Steve Carrell slices hardened to and created his evil doppelganger Oh forgive me this has already been addressed but guys this symbol on Sora's shirt ever become relevant it actually does and drag-drop distant that is the one thing about Kingdom Hearts I already know before this lecture we'll get to that then so so master Zane oh yes took ventus yes it was a normal guy at first that's correct cut his heart in two he was a normal guy with a little bit of light and a little bit of darkness like everybody else I was hardly - man - a light happened in our path that's correct our cat became dark half just kind of manifested as a really strong entity called banding to us and just like so no yes he looked like adults or oh that's right well I mean you know like Kingdom Hearts - story yeah cuz cuz Sora's in this game as a little baby so it's yeah that's that's a yeah yeah so what this is implying okay so so what else happened was that ventus's heart also sort of went into a coma his light half did not do well in this procedure and sort of fell into a state of slumber that's a big thing in Kmart's um but at this moment it just so happened that there was a miraculous well number I guess but a baby was born at the moments when when ventus's heart was cleaved in Twain that heart was Saurus heart and through the mists of time and space there was a connection formed between these two they were totally different places but a connection was formed with a newly born heart Saurus and it invited ventus's heart in to take refuge until it was strong enough to to you know leave on its own this is what happened oh no I'm sorry sorry I think all that happened at this point was actually a connections form and source sort of like gave strength that's what a connection formed at this point just when he was born as a baby yes a new heart same time but they happy yeah the cutting and the birthing happened at the same time and they formed a connection that allowed Ventus to not die that's what happened okay there's more later there's more later yeah there's there's a bunch of other things that happen here so yes is that the game we're talking about we are talking about birth by Sleep that's correct yes but there's also more birth by Sleep okay so every single one of these titles is just so and love the type of multifaceted like a jewel that just reflects different latham no matter which we Laderman my definite favorite is King of Hearts 0.2 birth by Sleep a fragmentary passage that's yes yes there's so much meaning in Kingdom Hearts so at this point we've just learned that this is the case but but now so what we've just learned is that you know a heart alight and a heart of darkness when they clash if they're evenly matched you know it creates the Chi blade the Keyblade yes so okay I'm over to the cutting from the point of view of a masters an orange yes he cuts Vance Bennett if any toss that wasn't of spinach just disappears no and vanna tests just this creates no okay so ventus was there he cut into him with his keyblade with you know through a beam of light you can actually chop him off or anything yeah uh and he Ventus went into a coma okay he went into a pleasure coma a while while Fanny toss just kind of appeared he just kind of spawned from the heart the darkness just became vaneeta over on the side so now those two guys right now one who's comtesse yeah for but he just got better with the help of Sora's heart Victor position happened in like a cutscene ever [ __ ] it closely cutscenes yeah mostly cutscenes and a bunch of this this is rich just kind of given a piecemeal throughout the game it's yeah there's a lot of [ __ ] happening here okay so so now what we now know is that ventus's heart is in fact pure light which is something that's only supposed to be possible for the princesses of light so it's like this isn't ever supposed to actually be able to happen and we know because he cut out it's because maybe a separate person that's correct yeah that's correct and Vonnie toss is pure darkness he is a person of pure darkness also not supposed to be possible in any case actually and vanna test is such a unique case the only one that's ever existed that in fact Webber I said the Unversed were the bad guys instead of the Heartless all unversed come from vani toss all of them in every world throughout the multiverse they all come from Benitez he just like generates them he just he just generates them and when you kill him they just go back into him and he just make more so it's just endless it's like a big high in Canada yeah I guess so it's never really has any consequences narrative lis other than that's where they come from but that's what it is just a special thing about someone who's pure darkness it's the end of this van you toss thing or in that we learn why there's a connection there so okay right so now we see that a darkness is like I are about to fight and that'll create the keyblade the keyblade and that's exactly that is what Zia nortz plan was all along his goal was among other things to create to do this with these guys to make the Keyblade so like so if fatty adventists fights Veritas that's exactly what masters a noir watts so he needs to decide who's gonna do it spoiler alert he fights him anyway he just doesn't he just doesn't care he hasn't he has to fight this student so he doesn't and the Keyblade does in fact get created parallel to this while this is happening aqua is fighting break and break is just basically stalling for time while this confrontation can happen between the two so aqua can't stop that from happening ultimately he succeeds and there's an time for the Keyblade to be generated and he just runs away an aqua aqua finds a turn it's actually when she finds a Ventus who has been possessed by Vani toss because as they as they fought each other they re merged into one person and then the Keyblade just kind of emerges in his hand he's got it now that's it that's correct but sort of there is a battle going on you know I said the dive into the heart is like Sora's heart and there's that's like a place he goes to there's a boss fight that happens between the two within the soul of Ventus at this time between vaneeta adventists and actually they kind of destroyed the place he gets blown the [ __ ] up so his heart isn't not in good shape right now but he wins he does win so he just kind of goes into a coma fan existence ventus the good guy wins yeah while this is happening remember Terra is currently fighting masters in art semesters and or this was a two-part plan the other part of the plan is that I have an old ass [ __ ] I need a new ass body so his this whole thing was he was trying to get Terra immersed in darkness to perform a nefarious procedure on the guy so there's a boss fight between the two Terra I mean you win but then it's just one of those [ __ ] cutscenes where just the bad thing happens anyway after you win masters and oh just takes his Keyblade stabbed himself releases his own heart and then shoots it into Tara's body so now and what he is he has possessed Tara's body at this point and he just he is now Terra Nord so he's got he's got silver hair he's a weird guy he's just got masters in arts personality he's taken over is he called Terra north well yeah Terra door is here but I mean I wanna say that name of the game right now he would call themselves a door he's got full control but the though so remember how there's a will there's a soul a body and a heart this is the only time where something cool happens with the soul of the whole series so the soul of Terra remember I said he was wearing armor the soul of Terra emerges the pieces of Terra's armor forms them into the Keyblade warrior takes his Keyblade backs in his hand and [ __ ] defeats masters enter in his own body it was the most kick-ass thing that ever happened in history was so awesome so that's the lingering will that and that that sort of events is lingering will and he still exists to this day in the in the keyblade engraver soul just as a soul that's correct it's [ __ ] nuts it's [ __ ] sick dog okay so so he basically like made a heroic sacrifice like he doesn't get back to his body actually it didn't really accomplish anything two feet up masters a Inari but he did but he his body's gone and he can't go back he's just a second that's correct jeez he beat him up but he didn't kill him well yeah he gets an Xin or the fight kind of gets interrupted is what happens by an explosion but saying or gets away with his body that's correct wait hang on one second and this fight sort of ends with the explosion generated by aqua and King Mickey who was sort of an ally of the Keyblade Wars who showed up throughout this as they sort of they defeat the outward body of a valley task possessed ventus with the keyblade they defeat him it creates an explosion and they all get thrown their separate ways hey everything goes crazy at that point so everyone goes it goes flying Tabuk do you play all these games three times or you hang out on that Co wiki all the time or do you have an incredibly photographic memory when it comes to this Pacific franchise I have played this game you have to play each game three times I've done I've done that at least three times I played this game a lot so nine times total probably nine times about nine times total there are a little bit of differences you get different boss fights sometimes but played him a lot in any case so the the resolution of this is just aqua finds ventus's body he's in a coma his heart is really wounded he's like in sleep and he's trying to repair himself he's trying to repair his soul a little bit at a time so she puts him in the I forget the name of the world that they're from but the world that they're from Master Erica so you know is dead no one lives there anymore it's just empty shell she takes ventus's body puts it in a secret passage there she at this point by the way takes master Erica says Keyblade I'm just yeah just takes it from him you can just do that I guess and she transforms the entire world into a protective case for ventus's body which is which becomes Castle oblivion it just becomes the world of Castle oblivion so so that's cool and that kind of that's kind of an explanation for why there's all these crazy traps about the secrets in the castle and what's what's prevented there or whatever and by the way does a good time to explain the connection between Ventus and Sora yes so at the conclusion of that battle with the shattering of the heart of Ventus and van Jessica's a kind of the same guy it was such such damage and I'm sorry their hearts is shattered and are they just dead well no I mean I know when they were some would have died but won't you mean when they were cut or when they fought each other when they fought each other again and and there was a big clash with in their hearts and Ventus won but had to kind of shatter just all the [ __ ] going on in there but he did win invent it and Vanya toss is dead seemingly he was so [ __ ] up that he would have died except that old connection he had formed with Sora when he was first born came back online and at this point his his heart travelled along the life stream or whatever through into time and space into Sora's body who's probably like five at this point he's a little kid it enters Sora's body and becomes like a part of his heart way deep down so Sora what actually seems to have happened is that as soar grew up and this is the he's just got that heart until all the crazy things started happening with him like unlocking his heart and all that [ __ ] and Kmart's one so he has had two so two hearts in his body his entire life since he was like five and kind of since he was one when he made the connection Jeff so when he that's correct that is correct because he had piracy which were pure like that well I don't think it he wasn't pure light anymore he had he had sort of reabsorbed about any test into himself oh yeah I mean his heart's real [ __ ] up still but maybe he should be fine by the time King marks three rolls around hopefully but okay but what why does he look like you so relaxed Almighty Sora and Roxas and Vance's invent doesn't look like okay now we can start to explain some of the weird things that have been happening so the implication here is that Sora looks like Vanitas just because he has had influence from prevent mustn't harm the splitting of the heart well just like that guy existed within ventus now and it just seems to have manifested in surah as he grew up it's never explained but that seems to be the idea Jeff also possible we don't know connection yeah we don't know who influenced - you know who could say but it's funny you can speculate oh yeah and so there in surah the Roxas rather looks like Ventus for very simple reasons because when Sora splits up into a heartless in fact Roxas was never a heartless he was the heartless at all oh he in fact just had been gist his heart inside him the whole time so think about that crazy right he was never a nobody he was never nobody at all he always had a heart so all this [ __ ] emerges - about how he had no emotions was just wrong he was just a separate heart that just manifested its own body that looked like its original body was Vince is still alive when Roxas well he was produced through the same process that would produce a nobody but he just had a heart - yeah but what's Vince is still alive when Roxas was formed ventus is in fact alive but as a heartless body just hanging out in castle oblivion still to this day so his parties in Roxas which has an identical body that's correct so this is a functional it has but there is a distinction made they are not in fact the same guy there is a bit of a difference yes did you but by the end of Kingdom Hearts 2 didn't Roxas get absorbed back into Sora which means that now Ventus / Vanitas is also now back in Sora that's correct that's true so that's a current at the time at the end of Kingdom Hearts 2 all of them are Sora is not hired well invented this body and soul or not within him yeah is Namine Ventus at all she's probably a little bit Ventus sure we're getting into the web of how Sora is everyone and we'll get a little bit more design or is everyone as well where is everyone else really okay what else is there to say about that Oh the reason Sora can use two key blades because he's got the heart of a second makes perfect sense yep so if he hadn't taken that Keyblade from Riku yeah he would have just had a keyblade anyway um at some point probably yeah that is I would imagine so interesting so we're really getting into hardcore ruining Kingdom Hearts 1 territory okay so any other plot wants attack okay so I think if you have any other questions feel free to shut them out but we can move on to just the conclusion of birth by Sleep which is where aqua kind of has a final mission where she is just trying to track down she's wondering what happened she she's found ventus and his you know put his body away safely but we don't know where the [ __ ] Tara is so she goes to find Tara he is in fact at Hollow Bastion which by the way before it fell to the darkness was called a radiant garden so he's in radiant garden and she finds him there just kind of just just staring at the sky blankly and she confronts him it's like hey Tara what's up and he just he gets he starts to attack her and grabs her throat there's all kinds of [ __ ] up [ __ ] but like then there's some resistance from Tara happening from within his body as well Tara was taken over by Zane this is terras body which does in fact still have all of Tara's body and soul within him but some of that was some of it was left in Libra will not all of it because Tara does still exist at least as a heart within the his own body which is now we call a territory which is what people call that thing so they have a fight they have a big fight and it's during the fight that we see him start to use heartless power so if anyone's blinking hurts one you know that Anson used this big come God in which is the big heartless that floated around by him as Tara nor it starts to use that guy as well wait sorry well the person you fought in Kingdom Hearts 1 was that Tara's body okay work yes we're getting to that and just a little bit but yes okay well we'll just talk about there right now so they fight aqua at the end of the fight aqua wins and Tara kind of just and he falls back and he falls into like a pool of darkness that leads to the realm of darkness and he's falling down there and aqua in just the most selfless thing you could ever do just jumps right in after him and and in fact gives him okay so they're being sucked down darkness is like gravity right they're just being pulled down they can't [ __ ] escape this [ __ ] so that she's trying to fly out with her little you know hovercar thing what she does is she just gives tara her armor let's herself sink into darkness and with the weight of only one person he's able to escape so aqua just allows herself to sink in a darkness for a million [ __ ] years all alone it's real depressing it's real sad the whole time that that kind of Sora in the gang we're having a fun life goofing around destiny islands go on an adventure aqua was just in the realm of darkness being assaulted on all sides by heartless all the time so pretty dark [ __ ] there's a little bit of a loophole that is that no more I came up with cuz he's a genius that time actually flows way slower in the realm of darkness so it'll only have been like two years that she was there instead of like two eight years for everybody else so only two years ago yeah we keep show you don't want to be too nice he wants her to suffer he wants to be punished at least a bit where do they just want her to be aged the same well she doesn't look any different and we've already seen what she looks like so wait so when the [ __ ] does aqua turn up again aqua will turn up I mean she she has has she been in the previous games at all she will show up her armor does show up in King wars 2 final mix which is just a reference to her existence but she doesn't herself show up until brother she's in the truth yes there is there was a playable section of well there's a little bit extra in the final mix version of birth by Sleep there's a little extra part where you play as aqua in the realm of darkness and she's generally okay you know she gave her Keyblade to - territory but she has master Eric kisses Keyblade that she still has with her so that's getting some use and she's able to survive and it looks like way down here in Kingdom Hearts 0.2 breathlessly of a fragmentary passage which is part of the Kingdom Hearts 2.8 final chapter prologue there is a section where you play as aqua leading up to the events of king auryx three muchy is hanging out with Sora they're having a great time DeVoe will you stay Kingdom Hearts faction of it sounds like Kmart's when I say fast it sounds like Kmart's oh yeah I will work to to correctly no no it's great I love it keep it up okay and I think that brings us to basically the end of everything related to birth by Sleep Pete's in there it doesn't [ __ ] matter who cares yeah we can move on one one final note about which ones that oh yeah they visit there's also time travel introduced in Kingdom Hearts 2 which is pretty cool which will come up later but so so the next game of the series Kingdom Hearts 3d aka Kate horn dream Drop Distance so this is a game which takes place truly and fully as basically a sequel to Kingdom Hearts 2 coded was kind of a mean game it was okay wasn't that important but 3d is pretty [ __ ] important so things go pretty crazy in peignoirs 3d demerit sorry teach no listen it's of [ __ ] in class okay so remember the mark of mastery exam that aqua and Terra we're trying to do at the beginning of birth by Sleep that was really important for some reason yeah so Terra I'm sorry so Sora and Riku who both have keyblades now are gonna take the mark of mastery exam with their because they haven't proven themselves yeah they haven't [ __ ] through this so by saving the world like five times but whatever they're just gonna do this now so master what's-his-name yen sid yen sid the guy from The Sorcerer's Apprentice is gonna train them is gonna give them the exam and their exam is to go into the realm of sleep and to I don't know like find some [ __ ] like if they're just sent there to go deal with problems like there's this thing's called called nightmares that are [ __ ] up slate go fix it Ben did we ever clarify what the birth by Sleep was the birth by Sleep refers to a few things it refers to the way Ventus and Vanna toss or vines how specifically was birthed by Ben Jesus sleep it refers to how in the end ventus was put to sleep and how like Sora's current like Sora was kind of born Sora as he exists now was born from ventus asleep and putting his soul into sores body so you know there's there's a couple things that relates to okay okay dream Drop Distance right so they're sent into dreams they're send to the world of dreams to go take their mastery exam that's it they're just there to take an exam and they go there and there's these things called dream eaters which are like they're kind of like nice heartless like there's no heartless in in these in this dream world then yes it sends them into he is sending sora and riku to take their mark of mastery exam into the realm of sleep that's what he's doing just as an exam that's all the keyblade master that's correct to become Keyblade masters and when they get there a strange figure starts to appear and eventually we see his face they're just going through they're just whatever solving problems they meet the kids from the rule that's with you that's pretty cool and eventually they see a strange figure who looks like a young zan ort he's just looks like a young handsome really orient Aaron arc and so they see him and he's just doing weird [ __ ] he's he's making nightmares up here because he's [ __ ] things out it's causing all kinds of problems and basically none of the events matter till we get to the end when it turns out that what had happened was oh and by the way in this in this dream world Sora kind of got a new costume and looks younger which actually does matter because Sora has a big X across his chest and this is what the view was talking about so the forces of ill the the remnants of the organization which do exist because they came back because oh it turns out oh and this was actually the entire point of coded now that I think about it to find out the fact that when you kill a heartless and then you kill the nobody the dude comes back that was like the whole point of coded to find that out so knowing that we know that we killed an some seeker of darkness and then we killed the xemnas that means that Zanna is back in some form or another so he's out there he's out there doing something hmm and so this game is to take the mark of mastery exam in preparation for the big fight that they will have to wage against him yes it wants Sora and Riku prepared for that so they take exam to get strong so during the exam basically this young Isaiah Norm's appears to them and it starts [ __ ] [ __ ] up and then right what I was saying about soros costume is he's got an X across his chest which somehow in a way that doesn't make any sense to me that exon is is like a marker that lets them track where he goes why does he just take it off because he didn't know he didn't know that that was the thing like when he entered the realm of sleep it just got put on this they did it somehow I don't know how but that's what they did do the forces of Zen or who has been restored are controlling like though the remnants the organization because a bunch of em have been revived now so there they're out there yes devote letting fans Biggio repair shirt is actually a tracking system trying to make sure Oh expose the yqj you're gonna come for me they know I'm here the only thing that matters about birth by the dream Drop Distance is that you eventually find out that what is happening at the end is that they are attempting to form okay and now we're going to talk about the 7 and 13 thing okay so there's a there was a prophecy all right there was a prophecy that seven lights and thirteen darknesses with clash and when they do the Keyblade would be formed now this hasn't been tested yet but master Saiyan arts new plan because this whole thing with the dude of pure lady here's I think he's trying to make that Keyblade he's all about that Keyblade right yeah so so the organization of thirteen we now have hardcore retcon to now be about making thirteen darknesses understand arts control to act as the thirteen just forces of darkness to oppose the seven light guys and win thirteen and seven fights it just makes a keyblade what okay there was just a prophecy that thirteen darknesses and seven lights when they fight it'll make the Keyblade that's it okay that's true but it's really hard to make that would take years that would take a lot of years and it's way easier apparently so just got thirteen relatively dark guys and seven rounds another light beer and I think they ought to be Keyblade wielders not sure about that devote your is there any connection any coincidence of fact that 7 and 13 are respectively the most critically praised and critically panned and Final Fantasy games yes that's confirmed by me just now so okay so so we now learned that sort of the point of organization 13 was actually just to make 13 dudes okay but there is a special condition to the to the 13 guys the seven lights can apparently be anybody it doesn't actually refer to specifically the princess of light or anything like that this is just other seven other lights and I think they all have to be Keyblade wielders pretty sure about that the 13 guys don't have to be Keyblade wielders but apparently they all have to be the same guy okay sorry following here oh they all have to be the same guy all right this is the thirteen darknesses all happen to be insured death yes so as this for the time travel becomes important that's correct time travel now now time travel I mean that's what he's doing so because he says he has to do it so I'm just taking him at his word okay he knows best he knows best man there's no fool that's right he's the Science Guy he knows this is why we needed so many [ __ ] Z indoors yeah that's right so this is where it all kind of makes sense there's really no reason for all these Sora's but these eight notes are totally important are there enough Sora's that all of the Sora's several of them have died but you know they could probably put together seven stories without too much trouble yeah how many stores did it take to screw in a Z no art how many that's all he's got folks a dimeric seven yeah seven there you go okay so how we feeling everybody made me feel tonight it's hard to let go me to feel like an hour okay we're getting close to the end though so home okay the the way his plan that is executed mostly in dream Drop Distance actually his plan is to is to he's creating thirteen of himself and there are some [ __ ] [ __ ] time travel rules in kingdom hearts don't make a sense but nonetheless they're there and it's that you can time travel but there has to be a version of you at the place you end up in the future and I think this was all a massive retcon to fix the fact that Xan Watts further Ansem seeker of darkness which is the heartless of Tara nor who is a fusion of Tara and Xan or his first appearance was as a weird shapeless bagman at the very beginning k arts one and what this has done is like in this in this game like eight [ __ ] games later they explain why he was a gross looking bag dude because only you're like so only your heart can travel and there has to be a body there waiting for you so that was like just his heart at the time traveling through time so now we're getting into time travel retcons all over the place so great yeah I know it's awesome right this is where the Kingdom Hearts series is totally crippled by just like that stuff I could handle this is too much you want a male-only now if I finally did brother and my brilliance just began to emerge at last so his plan is to get a couple of clones himself but time travel is zan arts plan okay all of this is a no it's got an evil plan to make the Keyblade and to control Kingdom Hearts and therefore control the university yet so the and the way he's doing that is to make thirteen himself and get seven light guys to fight against so his plan does not only consist of time travel okay he has many other ways to make more of himself so all this all this terrible writing that Nomura had produced turns out it was all on purpose he was just pretending to be [ __ ] so like so via various time travel ways he was able to gather let's see there's a old man saying art was there Tarun ort was there apprentice and art actually in turn over the same guy and some secret darkest ache a heartless as an orb was there xemnas nobody of Xena was there yes again was Anselm's secret of darkness was that Tarun or that is not a heartless of Teheran ort secret dark the build of cameras one looked like Terra but it was not actually Tara's body it was just his heart less correct but the heart kind of takes its shape based on we used to look like yeah yeah actually as one totally the only heartless who looks like a dude ever he is an some seeker of darkness yes and the theory is that that's because he released his own heart and it's like Satan like nobody rules who knows we have no idea okay the point is he's summoning zan arts from all through time and space as we can see there's a lot of them to choose from but the one big kicker of this plan is that he wants the final most special one of all he wants Sora to be a zaiah Norris so here's where the two buying when we combine the two into one thing okay there is it does make a little bit of sense okay in birth by Sleep remember that guy break who was the number two of the organization Zynga bar who got oh yeah quit now lemon see he is he has actually the element of space so he like teleport surrounded like shoots things and weird he could walk on the ceiling that's justice he had the lances know that's who think absolved in the wind guy he he has guns he uses these guns and shoot spikes but a very fun boss fight like him alive but so that guy okay and one point in the game oh and another important thing to know yellow eyes are a Begley are big associated with darkness and being evil and Stefan Kmart's that's a consistent thing all heartless seem to have yellow eyes and all the bad guys generally have yellow eyes so when we see break for the first time in came in birth by Sleep he just looks like a normal dude with brown eyes later on in that game he has a weird scar and his hair has changed who actually actually tear Skaar but his hair has changed and his eyes have become yellow and he's got 20 years now and by the way masters in over his 20 years and as yellow eyes and his gray hair so brain has started looking a little bit more like master's in art and in dream Drop Distance we get the incredible one of the best lines of the series when he pulls off is he just looks at the character says I'm already half Saiyan arts so like he's there's just this other plan to just turn people into Zayn or it's in addition to splitting himself into others A&R so so we know that xigbar a gay braid is is one of the Zayin arts that they're using for this plan also yeah well I don't know they didn't go into it they can just turn people into himself I mean he can he can we already saw him because that's other people's bodies I don't know dude this is the first time this has happened actual rule we do possess the king of Arts one that uses xigbar as one of the thirteen darknesses they don't have to be the same things II do have to be the dude okay that's a sticking point for me but like how the others go with it all right Japanese hand up yes is Rikuo Horcrux Riku is I think he's not Horcrux up into up until the end of chain of Memories where he has severed the ties what do we have on that other dude I'm do Buddhist and would you like me to or fill your water I would love that excuse that they can like pre meet Aladdin in the gate well yeah like a chain of Memories they visit every single world from Kingdom Hearts 1 and no one remembers them and they get to just retread old territory so yes in some cases absolutely Thank You Deb ever all right so oh ok and I just have Sora's supposed to become a xemnas or as a I guess through the same process that brave went through whatever that was and also uh this is another guy Lisa who was psychics who also by the way was best friends with Axl when they were kids and they grew up together and they joined the organization together so there's like some drama between the two that's actually kind of interesting we don't really know what's going on with them yet but psychics is also have Zia nodes or parts a enorm so he's like another one that's got to be a Saiyan or it's but don't know what that means that's what it is Munchie so indeed Yugi you go to a lot in place right yeah you got 11 like everyone okay extra homework for you my friend okay okay so Sora does in fact [ __ ] up real bad and gets captured by the bad guys and is going to be turned into one of the 13 through some process that we do not know and it is and then Riku is sent on a secret mission is it the same is it the same process by which Muslim goes might have turned the dog yeah so Sora he's been captured by all the bad guys and right that's happening and by the way at this point we see all the 13 seats are filled all the all the guys we know and love from this list of Zia nortz I show up there but there's one mysterious one who's like the biggest one of all we don't know who the [ __ ] that is but on that there's like young say in our old Zayin or everyone unless they're all there but Dana Riku oh well yeah I mean I was just for fun listening everyone who is an orange and you know he's included in that list Dana Riku Riku everyone that's the thing everyone tied to Riku his parts are and in fact through this process all of Sora's almost all also all the sores also almost all became Zayin or it's real close real close was always being ever was the same guy that's pretty much it so Sora is about to be turned into a Zayin ort through a mysterious process and it is at this point that Riku has completed his exam Riku is kind of wasn't dealing with a lot of the same [ __ ] that sort was they were kind of on two separate paths going through the realm of sleep and Riku has woken up and is like hey I completed my exam and then yes it in a really [ __ ] move is like Riku I'm completed your exam but I'm gonna give you an extra bit you have to do I'm gonna give you extra homework you have to go rescue Sora as part of your exam he just adds [ __ ] criteria to this [ __ ] exam there's no rules it's it's Doubletree from it's a free-for-all it's it's not cool but in any case Riku infiltrates that [ __ ] successfully defeats young as an orgy was kind guy who was controlling the whole time-travel operation defeats him as a horse current plan to assemble thirteen darknesses right now gets [ __ ] up and everyone they all kind of just go back to their timelines individually and so does their own will or just like well okay it's actually a weird combination of like prophecy and and like people initiating time travel like this is very much the solid block time-travel thing where like you can't control time travel it like just happened and it things just didn't work out the way they wanted so it just went back to the way it was everyone just left because they didn't reach the criteria to make the the 13 Union happen or whatever so he's just gonna try again later hopefully in a way that doesn't involve [ __ ] time travel I don't know we'll see we'll see him can you work three probably why would some of those guys go back to their timelines well a bunch of them were [ __ ] lose well they have no choice they have no choice because remember I said time travel is really finicky in Kingdom re so if they failed this they just automatically go back like no matter what that's correct that's correct this is all to make this one thing happen and it didn't happen so they all went back yeah it's like a weird prophecy thing it's totally [ __ ] yeah but in the end so okay so they win they leave the realm of sleep I don't think it'll ever be addressed again it's totally not important to the series as a whole but invasions that's correct this was all the events of dream Drop Distance all right so so thank God it's all behind us have you finished their exams they both technically did finish their exams Riku and Sora both face yen sid and yes it says surah pretty good job not good enough to be a keyblade master Riku you four went above and beyond you have completed everything I told to do so you are a keyblade master now and that's cool and by the way so he he is a keyblade master we have no idea what that means but he is one now and incidentally axel was one of the people who was revived you know he's heartless apparently had died he has nobody got killed in Kingdom Arts - he has revived that he has shown up again and he's here helping sora and riku he's on them he's on Roxas team you know Sora's team and oh by the way he has a keyblade now he just got it he just got a keyblade why not why not everyone's got a keyblade but you know what's funny you know it was real great in the scene where oh this is where things get really infuriating because at the end of the scene is actually playing on fire it's red there it's pretty fiery so so actually just stands there all right at the end of this game as everyone's like yeah we did an act says Oh his name's Lee now it's Elly a whatever he's no X so he's like oh how do i man I wish I could just I wish I could just and then boom he just appears his hand he just gets it there's no explanation for why it's there and all the characters like was how unexpected no one thought that this Keyblade [ __ ] would ever happened it's infuriating Ben why do pirate have a keyblade okay I can't explain that actually Oh for you at first no so I kept asking well potentially wield a keyblade is worthless now when anyone can do it but what it really is is it's if you have a strong heart is what they say is the reason that if you had a strong hearts a really really strong man then you retain your form when you turn women which is also how you wield that seems to be the case so yes so but that wasn't originally in camera mark - that wasn't the reason the way senior works one that was the it was the reason Kmart's one so to answer Ben's question why did Tyree get a goddamn keyblade okay same reason why now why Riku got a keyblade in the first place and the same reason why Sora can do a we duel wield so during the events of birth by Sleep one of the things that happens is that all three of the dudes Ventus aqua and Terra take a trip to destiny islands and they visit lil baby Riku and Sora Kairi doesn't live there yet just move there until she's a little older and while they're aqua meets the veil me you know individually aqua meets Riku and Sora and individually Terra means Sora and Riku and Riku Terra Terra sees and Riku a strong heart and a potential to use the keyblade so Tara I assume thinking that his life will last much longer because God knows he's he's just when he flew off into a blue car this is just during his travels throughout the world after he left okay you're thinking about the land of promise which is where he's from that he left after being like [ __ ] you guys I'm gonna go adventure than any when did that spell the land of promise yeah I grew ever the names I would call the land of promise destiny islands it's a totally different world yeah yeah I know I know yeah okay but this is when he flew off in his Keyblade car one of the places he went was destiny Island yes but but then that quote-unquote flying out through the rest of the world like that is all the events of birth by Sleep so just one of the worlds that he does and that is his destiny islands so he sees that re terraces that Riku is and potentially just keyblade so he just boom touch them with Keyblade BAM you get my Keyblade when I die that's it he just gives him you get my Keyblade when I [ __ ] die that's what he does and aqua meets Kyrie who lived in radiant garden a while another point and gives her like a weird charm she like it's unclear if it's like the same thing as what Tara did to Riku but she gives her like a magic charm like this little gem she has on her chest and presumably that lets her use the Keyblade very unclear but why did it reek okay so rehab didn't manifest his own Keyblade he was manifesting terra's keyblade he he gained the ability to use the Keyblade coz coz coz Terra gave it to him but he got a different Keyblade cuz Terrace Keyblade is still somewhere else and why did Riku have to give Kyrie her Keyblade be coincidentally coincidentally aquas Keyblade okay so remember I said when terracing ended arias aquasafe Terenure by giving him as her Keyblade whatever could saved him so Terenure was found with aquas keyblade through their adventures Riku also chance upon that same Keyblade Aquos Keyblade which Kyrie had the ability to use and they later gave it to Kyrie though ya know that it was it was aquas Keyblade or the pirate could use it he just that was coincident he just handed it to her because he thought it would be a cool thing to do and it just so happened a chest name from this charm yeah that's it okay all right it's the destiny islands that's work desk yeah so she has so she's sort of wielding aquas keyblade power and he has a keyblade and gave it to her that's even though he didn't know there's nothing to be able to use it so yeah Jeff the universe shows Riku to use yep the one that he got from terror is that a different one and thus each one of them is the one that Sora steal the waters are totally muddied by this this inconsistent you know [ __ ] lor in between kingdom arts one and pretty much just the rest of the series we got to get through the rest of this cuz we got to pick up Jesse in like 20 minutes okay good point so dream Drop Distance ends and did I explain that as I finish explaining that yeah are we done I don't know yes Terra gives Riku the ability to keep being wetter and an aqua gets it gotham gives it to Carrie we're done with three dream Drop Distance okay unchain X unchain her or it's Kingdom Hearts key Kingdom Hearts X whatever that is was originally a mobile game now no it was originally a PC game now it's a mobile game I play it pretty good not too bad it's a shitty mobile game that you dump money it's basically what it talks about it is the events leading up to the Keyblade war that has never been see resolutions to oh and by the way a big thing that's been said that leading up to King Horace 3 is that Sora will save everyone he is going to save everyone who has felt pain who has been hurt so we're talking about Roxas we're talking about nominate we're talking about data Sora we're talking about Rico replicas we're talking about every single person in this [ __ ] list but they're all going to be saved in some way or another it's really unclear what that means like how big rocks assistance or it exists at the same time I don't know in fact it was perfectly explained at the end of game what was that funny the good ones are 1 & 2 but do you know what about chain of Memories I do like to new memories but like it's really repetitive and the card game battle doesn't really justify the long-ass runtime repetitive levels much as Hannah first much II yeah Mickey Mouse Mickey Mouse shows up for one scene in King mort's 1 and then becomes a weird goth Mickey Mouse who just shows up there he's Yoda or something yeah he's pretty much Giotto now your other you might same question why is King heart so good so hard so sad Kingdom Hearts is really good because I mean Kmart's 1 start us off with a great humble little story about a kid just grown up and having adventures and getting over real drama with his friends that every thirteen-year-old the world relate to after that it really got bogged down in excessive details Nomura really went off the rails in in unhealthy ways that only diminished the quality and had lesser returns on investment for the [ __ ] he tried to come up with time travel what was he thinking big mistake and he you know it's it's a good series not the best series so birth by Sleep is not worth playing even if I just want to play the waifu route is aqua cute aqua is the cutest girl in the series by far and i love her so is it worth playing i really just play the awkward it's boring at games boring but just once as only aqua you might enjoy it okay play play the new one for 2.5 Jeff yeah so when does everybody become ghosts and go to scramble oh that's right around about here in the dream Drop Distance so Traverse Town which is a world from King Arts one in the dream or at least in the dream world possibly the real world as well like there's just another half of that town you've never visited in Kingdom Hearts 1 we just covered graffiti into 15 in order to work on Kingdom Hearts 3 and I mean he wrapped up this this way his whole project recently has been condensing all these shitty games on various platforms into versions that people could digest and like catch up he doesn't realize I think that he people just don't care anymore nobody gives a [ __ ] about any of this except for guys like me and and 2.8 is just like the final lead up to it and then we'll get three I would give it two years maybe two years until we get King lines what will be in Kingdom Hearts 3 Kingdom Hearts 3 will consist of Sora saving everyone from like all the characters that have been established as like aqua has to be rescued from the realm of darkness yeah a ventus is still unconscious in castle oblivion has to be revived in some way business or i live in doesn't he live in Sora's heart yes but the implication was that he is resting there until he is healthy enough to go back to his body and I'm sure that will happen at some points okay and I know that much II question how much commas in this series come on now my question yes I was everybody feeling sympathy is a way that you may give me feels life is hard to let go thanks for watching So I finished the whole thing. Very entertaining, and while it's a decent summary, he does get a number of things wrong, even making some things more confusing and nonsensical than they actually are.

But one thing that confused me - he said that Aqua's time in the Realm of Darkness was 2 years from her perspective, and that Nomura confirmed this. Where was this confirmed? I thought Nomura simply confirmed that time flows slower in the Realm of Darkness to justify why Aqua still hasn't aged and why she has been able to survive there for what is a decade in the real world. Where does he specifically confirm it as being two years?

Birth By Sleep is awesome! I would say that all the games that are playable in the HD Remixes are worth playing and the ones that are only watchable are worth watching, so it works out.
