in preparation for the release of the ruination novel riot has released a new skin for viego king vieja which shows him as he was as a human being before the ruination turned him into the ruined king and that's a great opportunity to talk about that part of his character design because viego is in many ways the i can be your angle or your devil meme as a champion as a human he was romantic devoted sensitive and genuinely well-meaning as well as selfish entitled imperious and bad at boundaries and so in contrast to his dark emo leather bass design human vehicle is all powder blue and soft cream colors tinged with gold all colors that you might associate with a fairy tale prince which of course is how he sees himself and also the part of him that is all the falls in love with i think viego has designed it genuinely quite brilliant in both his forms there's excellent character storytelling here and the contrast between the two versions of him is appropriately tragic and yet natural the ruined king is viego's every toxic trait turned up to 11 but they were there in king viego as well as a skin on the other hand well all of the ego's animation is designed to tell the story of the shouty emo killer sad boy so seeing them apply to a romantic softboy diego is pretty funny but also kinda takes you out of the fantasy of the skin if i'm honest subscribe to this channel for shorts or see my main channel for longer in-depth videos
