hey gang Zippo even though I haven't been feeling well it doesn't stop my neighbors from dropping their stuff off for me to work on this particular vehicle that was dropped off to me to be worked on and kind of interesting I know Archie and this is one of Archie's pals Archie has one of these this is a teal green color but what you guys are looking at is a little bit of a custom paint job that's been done on a car that is called a king it was a catalog order car used to be able to find them in the back automobile magazines that you could call them up or write him send him a payment and they ship you out a car made out of all steel there's front of it he's got headlights bumpers and everything that's required for it to be street legal at the time that it was built it has so it's got turn signals it's got headlights high and low beam windshield wiper and I'll show you how that work that's kind of funny it is a convertible the top folds down or you can take the top off this bar that you're looking at right here and this bar here is so that you can put the door or put the windows on the on the doors and the way that the door opens there's a sail I can get it in the picture there's a handle here it's your grab handle and when you pull it it pulls that pin in and allows it to clip right up against they closed the door that way this car is in really really really good shape for being as old as it is and just has 505 miles on it the Wisconsin engine that was in it was not running it is a time--as Bowl engine it has a timing it has a distributor on it with the points in it and you do have to adjust the timing and it was kind of interesting I thought I just go over it real quick full gas tank will get you about a hundred and fifty miles corner of the book this is nine and a half horsepower Wisconsin engine single cylinder you see it's running a centrifugal clutch two belts the third belt on the large pulley in the back is for the starter generator and we get a flashlight so we could see this a little bit better got them all over and just find it where you're aware of my flashlight go okay yeah this is a two-speed that's why you've got two belts besides the alternator belt they did make these in single speeds then they figured out a way to do two speeds and that was by putting in two different size pulleys and there's a centrifugal clutch between these pulleys and when the speed gets to a certain point one pulley disengages the other pull the engages giving you your second speed which is kind of cool it is a right wheel drive and it's chain drive if we can get a good look at yeah you can kind of see the chain down there there's a gearbox and it is the gearbox is forward and reverse only it is a battery ignition engine I told you that you have to time it and right down there that little can that's your distributor points are underneath that about little lock collar on it and that's how your timing when the carburetor accelerator all that stuff pretty much blow mold everyday small engine things and down here the red handle is your parking brake right behind it is your high low beam and floor breaks has front and rear brakes there's your gas pedal then if you're on the dash is your ignition switch headlight switch left turn high beam right turn here's your turn signal box for old Spartan box there's a fuel gauge and then have gauge just below that and your speedometer showing 500 5.8 miles and right underneath the dash there's a little switch clip to get your dash lights on and first when your headlights are on duty to do but when I came out here I had told Jay sighs gonna do a quick video on it so that's why I'm out here the windshield wiper I was gonna show you how the windshield wiper work you see it windshield wiper right there well I'm going up I'm going to turn it on and operate so you guys can see it moving see that isn't that cool let me show you how it works yep you better hope you got a passenger if it's really raining hard when chill wiper is operated by hand there's a rear view mirror the top does come down and off either way door panels also they come off storage underneath the seat there's a lot of you can't see it but there's a whole bunch of storage up underneath it come on camera focus focus focus focus on something come on there it goes okay now underneath the dash underneath the master cylinder all that stuff there's a lot of storage up now you see the box and rags and towels and stuff so are storage all that's underneath there and this knob right here is Chuck nob so I'm gonna go ahead and fire it up for you guys I've gotten it Jinjin got everything lined up carburetor straightened out look pull the choke I don't know if I'm gonna need it or not that usually just fires right now since I've been working on it first hit there she goes okay jokes all the way in now the shift lever I'd mention the shift lever push it down for reverse pull it up for forward just as simple as that you do have to come to a complete stop but there's that little Wisconsin chugging along just like clockwork we'll go ahead and shut her down and now it's even got accessory if you happen to put a stereo and you can turn your key back for accessory which is kind of cool and let me get the door shut you shut the trunk lid our hood or engine compartment lid whatever you want to call it I'm gonna pan out give you guys a decent look of what this thing looks like street-legal up to 60 65 miles an hour with a little nine and a half horsepower Wisconsin engine that's pretty incredible in it but in your size comparison now there's the king and there's my 3416 hydro my muffler is just about at the same height as the ride height in that car and that neat okay tiny little I just tripped tiny little New Carlisle tires speed rated of course a little mini trailer tires eight-inch tires but just a neat neat little thing for me to get in my shop and I wanted to share it with everybody there's a big following of people that has got these King midgets and they come in a bunch of different styles people have also converted a bunch of into trucks putting bigger engines in them made them you know go stupid fast and stuff like that but there she is if you got you a hot date on Saturday night run pick her up in this you'll never have a second date I don't think it anyway that's it it's eight
