billiards championship yes yeah all right and when we say derby city we're always saying it from right here live in the akistats arena at the horseshoe southern indiana the home of the derby city classic for the past 10 years uh before we get to player into introductions and a little bit about what's going to happen here i want to take another opportunity to recognize our three great signature right here's where it stacks up one pocket-wise 393 players began there are four players left nobody has a rebuy we got two semi-finals taking place right now one here one on the outer table followed by the final so we'll have a champion in the next three or four hours and by the way stay tuned after that for the bank pool ring game um interestingly enough the match that just took place between shannon mccannon and justin bergman well they drew each other again they're playing on the outer tables the other two competitors are right here ready to go at it so let me introduce them to you right jones everybody hello and welcome pool fans to our 2018 derby city one pocket semi-final my name is mark wilson here at my site is our newest hall of famer jeremy jones congratulations jeremy sincerely deserved well thank you mark it's been a great week uh could have done a little better on the tables i'm playing in the bank rain game later so i'm hoping to redeem myself as far as the plan this week but as far as everything else that's been involved with i can't send out enough gratitude to everyone they've been just incredible it's been overwhelming really i imagine so a long time coming and hard earned much deserved and now you're in the hall of fame for eternity shohan has won the lag he'll be breaking and it was a close lag you could see as the fellas there watching the balls come back down the table they were pretty uh they had their eye on it that's for sure you know the lag here playing any game actually but especially the one pocket in a short race such a huge advantage to uh to win the flip or win the lag here well shohan opened the balls moved the ball over our near his pocket and normally i would say tony doesn't want to break him like that it's not a bad break by any means but he's an aggressive player so he likes the rack a little more open after the break right but myself for like tournament style pull i kind of like this style when the balls just come off a little bit just because it really limits your opponent and it makes them kind of show you what they know a little bit more like the game's going to take a hair longer usually yeah you really don't want to get into a shootout because all these guys can run the balls you'd rather have the or your one pocket skills come into effect whether it's more moving and decision making yeah i'd like the stack to not be open for a while you know overall but and also like here he's got a dead one i think that's the issue here that's why you're seeing him do that i think the four ball was dead to where if he just kicked over to the bottom of the 10 that tony could kick into the stack and play the four there's definitely something tony likes here he sends the keyboard around he oh he's fast and loose he played the cue ball there for sure though i think he's left him maybe a window to kick at this the bottom of this 10 real softly in between the i don't know maybe the pockets in the way with the 14 in between the 14 and five kind of mm-hmm and i wasn't laughing at the the fact that he moved the cue ball now i'm just saying he will take a chance with the cue ball a lot of times you know he sends it that direction yeah i could have scratched for sure okay he's looks like he might be moving more than one like he's hitting it harder than a kick shot no he could get through there and that's what wow that might be the greatest shot i've ever seen if he got a rail especially i mean it's just wow like tony can't escape right here can't get out of this taking a foul or anything t-rex he went from in a great position to [Music] he's in trouble immediately here like he'd like to be able to kick back across the table somehow even taking a foul but i don't think he can even do that it's hard to take a foul here that's effective well what he needs to do here probably is just chip the 10 up the rail towards the one and come right in between the 11 3 back across the reason why you do that is you don't give up the bank on the 10 that way i know you're moving the ball away okay he did great there i didn't know he could he could take that that great align with the cue ball like he made it hold up pretty well right there not you know yeah he'll spread on you real easy on this he may have introduced just a hint of inside spin going back to boost of money shot though you don't think he played that no no no no i think maybe it was a great result an outside chance uh the ball might have rolled off a hair or maybe there wasn't as much window there as he thought right um okay so because that would be no i think that was unintentional yeah yeah i know there are some there are some shots you can play with the points that from different low angles but normally you're real close to the pocket and you can be real accurate here and particularly with the speed because now you are susceptible to something rolling off so if you're playing to the point with high speed then it's not quite so bad as boost of money you may see the two rail kick on is that the 14 over there nearest uh his pocket it's a 10. no no nearest oh boost of money yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah 14 right so this is laying nice for the two rail kick the reason why is if you get to the back of it you can knock it into the 11 into the 12. it can never really come across you'll see the wall balls there like the nine and the six and the seven and eight yeah so you can come back up table if he wanted to be aggressive now he could go off them balls and try and get him behind the 14. but the reason why i might stay away from that is i don't like opening those balls so much right nothing goes for boost imani's pocket yeah if you can get the overhead here double j i don't know if we got it i guess we don't have something extracting but anyway and it's it's kind of difficult to not move the nine much either if you like go off to seven or the or the six so i may look at this two rail kick here all right i know that sounds crazy but it's laying pretty nice yeah i think t-rex is molding that very shot over i mean really in a perfect real world you'd probably want to just skim off the the seven with a high right ball and go to that right side rail which would be your left side rail if you're looking at your screen and dive the cue ball right behind the 14. that's probably the ideal shot but this isn't bad now has tony played much on the tv table yes okay well he should be able to gauge this pretty well and you see that there's just like there's just like a whole wall that doesn't go and a lot of great things can happen he could have hit that ball thick thin either way he's coming back to the end rail and uh he could have actually been a little more aggressive with it i mean it hit a little harder but right he didn't want to lose the line on it but one thing's for sure that was an effective shot now boostamani is in a bad spot well he's got a decent play here if he's got the entire left side of the five he should be able to go off the five and to the left side rail behind the ten with a little left and just kind of move the balls move both balls he doesn't have to hit this hard at all he'll play the five into the 11. and cue ball should end up behind the four or something like that yeah like so wow yeah and that's a little fortunate you know if he gets a little more he can't see enough of the five if he gets a little shorter he's too too fat on it to really do that so it's just kind of laid perfect for him now boosties played on this t table last night two matches josh roberts justin bergman and uh just put it down he won both matches 3-0 both players were playing well but they never got a chance booster money whenever he was in trouble came with the big shot and then followed it up with a run out right just kept him sewed up all right now it's real important if he goes off one of these balls that he buries that cue ball because you'll see that 10 there that tends a real dangerous ball for tony to give up a bank on that's why you see he's kind of a little worried about going off the three and trying to dive below the five the five not that big of a ball to get behind so we'll see what he elects to do he's got to have a which he does he does have a great touch that's going to be too much spin i think i think that's going to give up a little look at the tent he did pretty good yeah he did pretty good he can only chip the outside of the 10 so well what he made sure there is let me make sure i get at least some of the snooker because if i give him the bottom of the 10 where he can get the cue ball behind the 4 and 12 and all that well i'm in big trouble so a lot of good experience there being being used by tony yeah that's one thing he has a big supply is a lot of experience in one pocket yeah a lot of people just consider him a a really an aggressive player the one thing about tony that's one of his the better parts of his game is the aggressive side but but he knows the tight side as well as witnessed by that last shot he took away the half of the 10 ball that boostamani needs and i don't think boosting can go all out at this any kind of way so you'll just see this being hit very softly yeah the ball skidded a little bit did you notice it grabbed it grabbed and it slowed everything down too the cue ball didn't quite get behind the two down there and the ten didn't go as far over as as he wanted so this is where he's got to be careful like some kind of you'll see there's a lot of opening over there on that bottom rail below the 11 so like if something banks and he can get down there on that bottom rail like the three banked and he could go a few rails or even draw the cue ball tony's looking to see if there's any of those shots there if not he'll play a pretty mild safety i'm sure like just chipping off the three and going try and plant them on the back of the five it's pretty easy shot pretty natural line meaning you don't have to draw the ball or anything don't want to under hit it though okay you don't want to get too easily buried behind the four and the twelve but that's what's going to happen here so yeah this is really going to help boost you quite a little bit yeah and this is going to lengthen the game out and i'll tell you one thing tony's done though earlier is he never opened them balls that are right there next to the spot and you know that's one thing you got to be aware of like a lot of times you can get out of a lot of things if the guy only has one or two in play like you can limit him maybe to give him a shot but where he can't get position stuff like that you got to watch it even cut this 11 i think he was also looking at that 14 on the 5. well like you said earlier i haven't got to watch much of the matches but him getting this far he's probably played pretty snug overall i'm thinking boosty has yeah this far in the tournament so he may just stick to doing that well it's not slow paced snug though it's he once he gets the first shot he's been coming with it and then following up with you know he's been hurting his opponent right but what i'm getting at is like if you rearrange the balls a little bit to where your opponent can't get many you end up getting a lot of free shots in the game so that's why there's so much value in him moving these balls that tony had on the side he hadn't gotten them all yet but he's getting at him he's got to be super careful if he's doing something he's trying to draw back into the 12. oh wow what a great hit that was i learned something right there hmm that was a great shot yeah very productive shot yeah now he's opened those balls on the spot a little bit but nevertheless that was a pretty good shot keeping a little heat on on boosting even though it looks like to me boosty still got the best of it uh if he does a couple of the right things just because those balls bank a little easier for boosting over to his hole than and he's got a lot of easier ways to cover the cue ball up you'll notice tony doesn't have the 11 you can't really hide the cue all behind the 11 over there or anything like that so gave away a little more of a bang than i would have wanted to here though i'll tell you that and here's the thing tony may feel a little bit threatened he may feel forced to shoot at something this good well it's not bad i mean sometimes okay he's not he's gonna knock the ball over doesn't want to tie these balls up over here though you don't want to open up that corner for later on so this is going to be a long game here i predict i guess that ball near the eight isn't no kind of dead huh no chance no no it doesn't look like it hit the low rail so the eight seven is into the eleventh and the eight fourteen oh you're saying the 14 back yeah the 14 off the seven yeah it's gonna hit the end rail for sure they're not touching so you can't throw it you throw it a little bit a little bit yeah but done enough okay he's gonna try and gap these up and lay the cue ball down to where there's no banks on the nine any of that and you'll notice this ten five fifteen four this is where tony's gotta be real careful what he does with this cue ball because the 13 doesn't pass either so real easy to leave busamani a shot to where he can send something out of his hole and put you in this upper corner you got to be real careful here i might i might yeah i might have to move that ball to open up at least the 10. just chip off the five and fall down there to where the corner is not so easy like if he doesn't get this oh he's trying to hit this hard this is a little bit risky here yeah i wasn't so sure about that one i don't think that was necessary not only that he was he was opening up the bank alex he should have just kicked at that real softly and then at least if he did give up a long road bank tony's got to make a bank combination basically i think he got away with it though mark well yeah it wouldn't surprise me to see busty just lay on the one here chip the eight put the seven up back by his pocket and just lay on the one he's drawing this ball this is the one i thought that might go he's drawing it for yeah he missed it just barely the karen was not quite on he didn't really play the cue ball up for shape uh fortunately for him anyways yeah yeah he should have looked more at a move there if there was someone and some type of doubt with that shot i think a move would have been a lot better it's t-rex banking no no he takes such big long swings he reminds me of willie munson with his stroke you know he's got a great stroke it's amazing how the big man and pool a lot of times had some of the best touch i've always remembered there's a guy in the houston named nana great one pocket player now he's quite a bit older he doesn't play as much but like six seven like 350 pounds i don't know huge man just you know but not obese just a big man and uh he had a great touch steve miserable that was just gonna say the miz could hit him harder than anyone else and could hit him softer than anyone else with accuracy i thought he had the best stroke out of everybody in my opinion bridge and stroke i love him yeah okay he's he's looking to put him up here in this corner somehow you said that would come into play and be an issue it looks like that is exactly the way it's turned out and i'm really surprised he didn't go ahead and hit that and let it come on down the table a little bit and play the cue ball a little bit further over just so you can't see the six so easily [Music] um the six he'll he can follow through even though he doesn't want to make a silly mistake and give him a free long rail bank again so i'll tell you what i would do i would probably chip off the 13. and knock it into my balls over there and let the cue ball go right in between that six and 11 and fall down to the end rail i think you're leaving everything covered up and you're opening up something that's got to go that's gonna leave the six ball and he can cue the ball no i guess those balls are in the way just a little bit what do you think mark you think you can turn it back looking at the monitor here no no i i don't think it's i don't think he has enough here on the overhead you can see it's pretty snug yeah well bustamante should like where he's at then he can come off the 14 and come down here behind the one again it just kind of banked the 14 back across towards the 9 and 11. it's real natural you freeze them on this end rail down here behind the one where the ones really got them cut off on a lot of things all right he's moving him up table he wanted to fulfill your prophecy of a long game we'll build a nick varner wedge down here in the corner pocket with 15 balls that happened in the first game of the bergman dalton match here earlier today and oh boy it looked like it was going to happen in the second game too because i had left when it was a one nothing ball count justin in the second game and all the balls were up table pretty much and so i left to go back to the room for a little bit knowing i had to come commentate i text pat and said it's two nothing i couldn't believe it justin's playing good no question he's gone through this field he's beaten a lot of the top talent here well he had a pretty decent run in the banks i think all right he's gonna kill his ball here nothing really goes so he may be able to trap tony here if you can get this three past all oh wow i hit that one but oh you tried to go into the back of the wand he was trying to get a little more velocity on the three but then he ran into the four and so that stifled the progress there but he was certainly making use of the fact that tony doesn't have many balls that go towards his pocket for sure and he just overcut it a little bit that's why he got a little more pace on the cue ball i think he was going into the one no matter what so tony yeah he's looking the right way here he needs to just chip one of these balls the eight or the ten you could hit it full too that's not a bad way to play it like that he's gonna be a little careful if the two doesn't go he can looks like to me he can bank at the one and roll through he's going to give up a little bit of a shot on the spot the ball on the spot but i looked out here on the outer tables i do not see bergman and dalton playing but maybe they are i just can't see it but nothing much going on you'd think they'd be underway somewhere i don't really see anything for tony offensively antonio probably just shoot right through that 12 he could elevate and pop it a little bit trying to remove some but what happens there sometimes is you open up a bank somehow so he's just going to play it mildly one rail on the side yep bustamante 54 years old tony is 36 years old and busamani's got to make a decision here if he wants to press the issue a little bit meaning he may give up a little bit of a piece of a shot trying to put tony in a little bit more of a situation so we'll see see shooting the 5 into the 13 trying to just go right towards that 10 with the cue ball okay because he didn't hit that a little more take a little chance and we'll go on both on his side and make the cue all dive a little bit but that's okay just making it a little bit easier uh for tony to to get out of the situation now here he's laying perfect to elevate if he wants and hit the 12 with a lot of speed to the back of the nine should lay the keyboard down nice like so good shot yeah the cue ball wow very pretty great cue ball now he's tied up that four nine i'm not sure if the three passes the four nine the 11 8 a little doubled up so lucy better be careful here as far as giving him some type of free cross corner or even a straight back like if that 12 but it's hard to reach it i guess but if f3 doesn't pass he can cross corner of the ball in the spot right here and let the cue ball come two rails towards the three he's a little elevated though so all right oh can you see the eleven working one rather eleven it's close tony displaying a bit more patience than where you're accustomed to seeing i guess he knows that he cannot fool around with busty and give a little to get a little yeah one thing about tony and a lot of the guys that play today that are aggressive but the a lot of people are fooled they they play uh the the good players the ones like tony and danny and a few of them guys they play aggressive but they play aggressive where there's some value you know what i mean where you if they're going to make a great shot they can get a lot of balls they still just don't shoot at something that's just just make a great shot yeah just to be impatient and get something going right yeah now he should look at coming off the one or the two probably the one and banking it straight across back over to his side rail and diving down below it's kind of the ball you're a little worried about giving up a bank on anyways like a long [ __ ] right so take care of it a lot of times without the ones you're worried about look and see how you can maybe change how it lays and i kind of think he's banking at the eight here passing the cue ball around behind the 11. i hit it well oh boy that was the speed too watch out for the rock oh almost deadly that was a great shot yeah he almost got him behind the 4-9 like completely not gonna be easy you know boost he's gonna have to kick him behind the i think is about all he has yeah and he really uh that angle you do it softly too this four nines almost makeable but it's a little off so as mark said i'm pretty sure you'll see a mild kick don't if you get car this ball could scratch the way it lays so you gotta kick pretty softly at that one it all started with the tony's break that barely dislodged two or three balls from the rack and then jeremy he accurately predicted this would be a long down table game that's just the direction it's headed only in pool can you have a zero to negative one score i'm losing zero to negative one those are some of those other games they should be able to go backwards some of the things they do in some of those other games not much to worry about here as far as giving anything up there is a there's not a shot really at all tony's just gonna roll on this nine ball here we go boosty lightly off the nine send the cue ball all the way down to nick varner's gold bar that's the end rail furthest from all the balls he was laughing he had me cracking up nick did yeah the gold bar back there mark i've noticed when i put the key ball back there my my tournament paychecks went way up it was a lot of fun oh yeah and when i just did three clinics together two days each he stayed with me for about nine or ten days he had us laughing so hard yeah that's funny well and he cracks himself up on top of everything else a lot of times with his stories he's laughing harder you can't even hear the end of the story no i know oh yeah no way to not have a good time with him man does he love pool still we play all right he's back in the 14 here a little bit of a miss it could sell out maybe one or two that was a real good hit and he got a nice double kiss to contain the cue ball lucy i think's gonna shoot at this four and try and spin off the 10 down below the 14. right he's got that helper that's going to make it a little bit safe should he miss i think it's laying where he's thin enough on the 10 to where he doesn't have to hit it very very hard either like just a good stroke mm-hmm he could he's got other options he can he can definitely get to the end rail below the 14 a few different ways he's trying to see how it can be free and be offensive in a free kind of way right that if he can go off the 10 and get down there he can also end up with a bank on the 14th if he makes a real good shot on the forward that that would be super productive then yeah well he's definitely going down there for it it's just uh anytime you're going off another ball you're always kind of predicting hitting it well so wow great shot great shot didn't get the bank but also pocket of the ball and now he'll be able to remove the 14. when you watch bustamante two things always strike me the size of his bridge hands or any both of his hands it's like a big octopus comes down on the table or or maybe like a dog that's a puppy that's gonna grow in to be a big dog that has way big paws but a little body you know and his cheerful disposition too yeah makes it a joy to be around him he's always laughing and cutting up tony's trying to see how he can get it that i guess that's the seven oh okay yeah the question is okay it's about to follow tony it was the ball there's a penny out there yeah don't really see much probably just gonna have to shoot through that three but it's a little a little risky because he wants to follow the cue ball up because you don't want to leave any banks when you do this you don't want to like dink the cue ball and leave it to where you can get long row banks you want to follow through and get on top of balls looks like boosty's got a one [ __ ] in his pocket yeah right i mean yeah i'm getting a good chance i'm pretty conservative on the tv table oh he's gonna shoot it i know i mean he could just knock the other ball away but i mean i think he's supposed to shoot this for sure he can draw back and maybe get the three on the spot too maybe get the cue ball tangled up that's even better there hit the other ball i mean not better but making it would have been the best but otherwise that's pretty good right there right well you'll see the 10 banks maybe the 11 banks here in a second much and the a banks um i think to your point making it would have made one ball then he has to be defensive here tony is in trouble he's got to deal with two balls down there plus there's a bank or two for boostamani on the other end of the table so yeah without making it or dead hanging it this was hitting the other ball and leaving no real shot was probably the best oh what a good hit what a nice [Applause] can't reach the 12 i don't think that would be a nice one two-wheeler on the 12 i think unless the 113 was like wired yeah you're gonna just cut this ball in he might just cut it to fourteen or four yeah seven going on wouldn't blame him because he figures to hit it reasonably well and put a threat over there and he's not gonna sell out a whole lot looks like no i'd have to hit it pretty poorly to sell out yeah i like the cuts safer than removing the 14. right 15. mm-hmm yeah 14 is down here right now yeah right it's weird colors yeah the two robin's egg colored blue is the seven of 15. and then the lime green 14 and six now it looks like he's gonna try to remove that ball play his cue ball pretty nice gotta watch out he doesn't give up a gap and give up a two [ __ ] somewhere and he's done all right he removed the you might play the eight and the ten at his hole kind of i don't know if he can beat the kiss or not it's laying okay and the eight won't get that close but but the it should stay on his side so we'll see it might catch a kiss if it catches a kiss over off that second rail it's going to be bad news it's going to send one of them balls towards booster money's hole i think one of the big points jeremy's making here well it looks like he's going to use draw i was thinking he's going to try to stick him up on the top of those balls well tony's wanting to apply pressure and he's done okay he's later on he's done okay yeah that was pressure for sure and it could have turned out even more favorably he hit it so well that ball had kill power on it when he got down there he could have worked its way near the hole yeah boost he's in a rough spot as far as he can shoot this with some speed and try and go into the back of the seven if he misses or something like that but i'm not sure you see how his tip is four inches from the cue ball right now and he's the only top player you ever see do that it's almost as if he's sneaking up on the cue ball you know what i mean with the bridge it's like 10 inches away when he's with the bridge it's amazing phenomenally gifted player and despite being he's in the hall of fame as well and has won virtually everything but somehow he's still kind of underrated in my opinion great shot there really gifted at the beard side of this game years of rotation pool one of the most powerful rotation breakers there are we're moving right along now two to negative one yes we'll have to get the if our heart rate goes up too much we'll get the defibrillator out and step away and watch some mma fighting till we calm down well tony i don't think can afford to go for anything here he's just got to shoot jack up and shoot the 10 towards probably his side somehow and draw the cue ball back if he can i mean you don't want to give up some cross corner on the tent he's looking at yeah like that so did pretty well with the cue ball and a lot of times when you're playing you're shooting a ball into other balls mark well what you do is you play safe on the ones you know you're not moving i mean tony brought the cue ball back to make sure he's not giving up the eight or the two or the ball in the spot or any of that so you can't always predict where you're moving other balls but you can at least play the cue ball safe on the ones you know aren't going to be moved right you know what i'm saying right and if he had a frozen right there where he couldn't really dig on this cue ball he wouldn't have been in too bad a position tony's not liking the way this is going just uh and he knows he can win in games like this but he would certainly like to have a little more pressure on his opponent bringing the ball a little more in play yeah these are some ugly clumps of balls on the handrail down here almost looks like somebody manually did this to me i think this uh really helps boost imani because i think he has a little edge in terms of just pure firepower this isn't i don't think you can get this ball close enough all the time to do this yeah didn't quite understand that i could cut the seven ball also come across just because he's a little elevated on the 13 and he's if he comes off of it going forward he's probably gonna catch the eight some kind of way so if he's feeling good right here you just roll this one and you get a little bit better angle on the on the 12. good speed there yeah oh he killed it big time how'd he kill the cue ball that much it might have hit the point of the pocket or wow he has that great big long stroke but then he decelerates through the cue ball which is not usually recommended but he does things unconventionally and makes it work better than the conventional methods oh boy good shot yeah i can see much from here besides the one on the nine maybe bank the one on the nine but i don't think that's laying any good we know t-rex will want to be aggressive so you really do need to kind of think a little bit about that 15-11 over there that's that's a two-wheeler that would allow him to have some cue ball control towards shohan's pocket yeah i think he'll leave him on top of him you know like maybe put him on oh he's coming back i might just lay him on the one night that's not bad yeah this is that yes yeah yeah there's nothing there unless tony wants to come make a combination on the 15 that two [ __ ] that you described earlier where you said as long as he doesn't get the double kiss yeah that one's a little thin you want you want the like if the cue ball is the two ball right right you want it to be to where your object ball's a little above the cue ball going straight into that pocket right there if you're gonna get a kiss on the two balls if it's like uh shooting into the bottom rail a little bit wow that's a great match i didn't think that would go i looked at the overhead and thought well it's awkward now look at where he's at here it sits better on it but i still think he's going to get a kiss unless he really hits it hard and makes the ball bounce a little more without the the two ball beam i think he's going to get a kiss here if he does a good chance sends the two ball right at his at uh boosty's hole i'd be looking at the 13 somehow even with the bridge yeah the 13th doesn't play bad at all for him maybe even crossing the five if you can reach it better might get another cross that last shot that's what it was because they spotted two balls the one he made for tony yeah on that kick shot when he kicked uh remember i asked about a rail because kenny spotted two balls kenny was right on it can't pass this shot up that's for sure boosting figures to leg it in there you know close no matter what but speed yeah usually they'll fade long a little bit and it's not like the ball rolls off it just loses a little bit of that rotation you put on it and the ball fade a little bit all right this is a t-rex specialty here crossing this six and either trying to catch some balls on the spot or going by them and laying the cue ball up here on the rail he's gonna have to catch it heavy though that way he catches the second rail on the six and maybe he makes the five like that you see great shot what a great shot t-rex specialty there it was yeah it's a shot you learned you know and the thing is that's so impressive about the guys that really have a good feel for that shot is how well even though they're going that much distance banking the other ball hitting the other two balls they can still get the cue ball pretty close to the end rail well sometimes it'll end up froze it's just amazing how you can feel a shot like that can't really calculate it much he's made one shot to where he's made this pretty much even ball game in my opinion even though it's three to one right but the dispersal of the balls favors shohan so much no matter who goes on to win this game i wonder if that's going to change the uh the other person's mind on how they want to play the next few games the losing person of this game he's gonna have to elevate it looks like oh he's knocking the six away [Music] oh really oh yeah he is aiming at eight that's a dangerous shot i can't believe that he thought may not sell out with that shot well he did yeah i'm not understanding maybe i guess he thought that eight was never going to touch that fight and it was just going to go or five too much pool and not enough sleep right for me he's got a nice angle here to try and produce something now he could just hold up for the bank on the 13th he's going to try and be aggressive and get behind them balls got a nice two rail angle won't slow roll this it will have some speed on this yeah maybe you decided to just lay up for the bank wanted to make sure he got the bank i guess oh i agree with it actually but at first i thought he was trying to maybe get dive behind and get get on that two ball somehow pretty nice attempt and now out to a 5-3 lead so lucy just knocked that ball spot i believe i don't think it's worth messing with the two at all key here is just lay that cue ball on the rail don't let the 13 come all the way back up you got all these banks covered like just get it maybe around the headstring or something he's going even shorter tony used to like this two [ __ ] a lot i know that but there's a little danger there if he hits it thick and catches the two or the right 15. and you have to hit it fairly thick because this table's really going along wow able to yeah the double kiss work the 13 way down by his pocket booster is going to have to well with a level q so he's going to have a lot of left spin here killing this ball well not as much as i thought comes a dangerous ball now two-wheeler on the 13. if you can play that it looks like you'd send the nine ball over there maybe loosen up to one of the ten also yeah he's got to be aware of selling out that 14. is that a 14 or 15 right there 15 getting underneath it he didn't want to draw it because he was afraid of getting underneath it that was not the answer there very playable bank shot for booster money now he did loosen up his banks on his side with that shot though we'll say that type of banks that boost the money in the big situations just rarely ever misses not saying they're not miscible they're not it's no easy shot for some reason he makes a lot of them yeah that's like his uh worst outcome is to hang it right he's mad about it well that takes the decision-making out of the equation here for tony shohan he knows what he has to do why t-rex because i can i didn't just roll to the side i didn't quite understand the reason for that i just don't think it was necessary is what i mean right you take a lot more risk for every degree that you elevate you lose a percent of accuracy it was probably about 30 or 40 degrees well that's a legal hit and lucky it slowed down a little bit because that 11 15 they they both play to his hole as well and tony can't quite get at him oh he's going to cut bank the two and two rail the the tooth and two rail the 14 also or 15 excuse me like that there's your answer yeah really surprised that booster didn't look at that stuff before he just kicked at the 10. that was a good jet yeah he's put him in another tough situation and also he's got balls up here on the unreal that bank so he's got to not only not give up a shot on the two or the fifteen but he's gotta not leave a good angle so he's gonna have to come off this 15 and bank it towards the two and swing the cue ball around the table i think that's your safest bet here a lot of times when a guy has them long rail banks available instead of trying to get behind the two here cross this ball over like so oh that hurt yeah he had to take a little chance with the cue ball but normally he wouldn't scratch there and you you could see what he was doing sending the cue ball back up to the end rail and tony's definitely going to shoot this spot shot here yeah if if he'd slip past the side pocket there that was a great shot and now if tony feels good he can draw his ball to side rail and play position on this bank on the two meaning oh he tried to get behind it now he's giving it up no that's the difference in this match it's certainly not tony's ability to move but will be the firepower circumstance well and i think what mark's saying is more about how great the firepower busamani has because tony does have some firepower that's for sure yes that's i didn't mean to disparage him at all just lose to my needs a beast billy thorpe walks into the arena smiling grinning have you and billy played before jeremy um action wise yeah a few years ago he beat me a couple games playing banks i don't think we ever played any did we play anything else we were supposed to play a couple different times in one pocket but just hadn't developed kick and play though that was sure amazing talented banks you watch him play and you think they're straight ends or he does anyway yeah that uh growing up playing it all the time that makes a huge difference just like straight pool a lot of guys never even heard of around 100 plants very poor areas so but you can tell at least i can tell how important this is to boost money grinding hard in this match i think this bank goes up this bank goes you pretty much got to shoot it because it's laying in a nice spot where you should have a good pocket speed on it i mean yeah you hit it good meaning it shouldn't really get away from you that much we've had a few lead changes in this opening game now six to five you can see who's the money with the is he lead at this it almost looks like he's winding up like he's i thought he was but i think he's just kicking it out yeah i think he can really afford to do anything right there's too much of a chance of scratching knowing how well that was hit and he knows if that gets away from him at all things i mean he gives him a free bank on the 11. not a free bank but a very shootable bank uh but now would land the 10 down you might to reel this though mark yeah that and i also think that he can bank the 11 if he was so inclined but it's not it's off angle enough i don't think you just try to lay it up by your pocket well that and uh with the 10 me in there it could easily give up two balls if the uh if something went wrong so get this tent out of play maybe and then go from there i like that shot and is very productive and all that that is when it comes to this part of the game on one pocket you'll notice where they're sending the cue ball a lot of times when there's only three or four it's hard to do all the time but you just want to eliminate options so i mean he can only see the one ball here so i mean if he can only see one ball really to get at what's his options they've been you know taken down quite a bit same here now boosted can just move the one over by the 10 and just put the cue ball all the way down table if he wants right yeah he can but there's a little bit uh got to be a little worried a lot of times with those balls like the 10 11 and 9 the way they're land there's a lot of where you can play two balls at your hole even from up table two real one of them one rail the other you know so especially with a guy like tony i might be a little more inclined to just leave him near the balls here oh he's gonna kick this at his hole and i don't blame him there he should be able to hold the cue ball make sure he gets a rail okay that's a good chat yeah he's gotten him a little funny here to where it's not so easy to move this one and get it on your side it's a little flat i think he can do it but he'll have to maybe cut the one a little bit with a little high right ball thing is here don't baby it if you under hit it that's when you can really get in trouble oh yeah it's short now he's now he's going to give up a long rail cross corner excuse me this is such a big ball for bruce demoni because it puts him in the spot where tony will need all of them yeah i wouldn't doubt this nine ball banks if we can get this one ball down that's close this is one that's a nice angle to where you're not ever gonna bank it twice so you can go ahead and put a little speed on it you don't want to just dead lag yeah see that one fell a little on him tony's banking this one mark cross corner on the one i think you get so used to boosting money making all those shots it's actually surprising when it doesn't go into me yeah he's got more chance of missing a softer bank meaning a bank you hit with less speed than he does one with more it was a nice effort yesterday that ball goes in because the cloth was just a little less friction but today walls are starting to hang up a little bit as the table gets broken from play and it looks to me like shannon and justin have started their match on the outer tables yeah quite the battle earlier a three-hour match okay don't that nine ball bank it's almost there but to too easy to scratch off of either the 11 or the 10 or both i think he's got to really be careful here he needs to just cut this nine towards the one and just lay over here on the right side at the table i know it's putting the ball towards boosty's side but otherwise he could easily give up the the game on this very next shot okay kicking the 10 or just rolling the 10 in he can't just be rolling the 10. he's got to be kicking it [Music] yeah i don't know if it's gonna work out for him but it's okay the reason why he did that is he didn't really feel like he could make it maybe he makes it but he he's trying to direct boost of money on what busamani has got to do got a little lucky didn't give up a bank though that's a little weak there a little more of that but he was really a lot of emphasis on trying to make sure the 10 stayed on his side is he too real at it cue ball's not going in the best place for him that's why he's right he's a little concerned plus it's a pretty big cut which is doing something different just kind of left the cue ball out in space there i'm not so sure about that shot it's not normally you see a one pocket player just kind of leave the cue ball just kind of out there somewhere especially right in the early part of the game you can shoot in haste and then repent and leisure well i think he thought he was going to catch the two um i'm not sure uh-huh you're right i think but still even to leave the cue ball out there you can see that boostamani can get at that uh what's the ball next to the 10 that's the 12 yes yes that's the 12 ball and he can do some damage with that i'm not sure if you can throw it back into the six and go up the table near the side pocket he's looking at this cut on the two and i don't think that's necessary it looks awfully thin i i think he can play it if it wasn't the sixth ball i think he for sure plays at that six balls her name well he wants to throw it in anyway so maybe elevating here won't hurt him as far as getting oh he missed q or he just didn't i think his bridge hand moved a little bit okay well yeah because he he really didn't yeah he's looking at his tip but i think he needs to if he were to replay that i don't know if we can i think we'd see a little body motion when he delivered that stroke the six ball brought that about it was bothering him and then he kind of lunged at it at the end well he's i tell you what i don't think he intended on leaving tony a shot on that that ball but he left him straight in so it's real hard to do much with it he's going nine into the 15 here tony always has a great touch when moving the balls and that's something you can learn a lot of times when you're scrambling the balls people tend to overhit them well when you're hitting one on top of the other and you're catching a just a portion of them they're going to move it's not like you got to cream them especially on today's equipment right you know the simona's cloth and the good pool balls they're going to roll a long ways so a lot of times when you're scrambling the balls you pay attention to just like right there that you don't have to kill him now is he going to ever look at this one at all i don't think he wants to shoot the one of course but he usually will have a look at it just to make sure can i hold my ball right here and leave him doubled up or something boy tony made a powerful move he's getting a kiss here i don't think he can dodge a kiss oh he's giving it to him okay that makes more sense that makes more sense yeah tony made a powerful move there wasn't quite as a uh readily apparent a lot of guys want to shoot at that seven ball but that was not the right time to shoot the seven ball well it was just a hair off a straight end falling with the cue ball to the wrong side to get position so if you had a little angle on it i think you would have seen him shoot what's he looking at doing here looking at skimming this ball and getting behind the two this is too dangerous for me too flat well by the time you get over that rail you may not have the english on the ball anymore you know so you may just go well the one thing he did know is that he wasn't ever giving up that bank that's that six is going to be in the way is boosty having a look at the six on the 15 bank maybe just a touch yes that laying real good tell you what he can do if he can move the six and get to the side rail to where get to the end rail then side rail to where uh tony can't get behind the two any kind of way well he's gonna have the best of this that's for sure just gotta make sure he doesn't scratch wants to move the six a little bit though oh he moved that one okay that's all right i guess he couldn't move the six and get to that that point right there he was on the rail and i think the angle was such that he was fearful of scratching right well the reason why i was saying that is if you can move the six uh you may end up getting a free kick at this two to to bank the 15 next you know what i'm saying right right but now you're gonna see tony shoot through the three and lay the cue ball behind the one just simple one pocket just simple old-fashioned one pocket here okay he's trying to dive in behind the two and i don't see that i just don't think there's enough value meaning even if you get him behind the two he's not gonna sell out but if you don't get him behind the two you may give up something that's gonna cost you right like it looks like to me busamani can bank the six and go up table free because the 14 the 14 the 15 this and the seven are all uh doubled up doesn't even look like the three goes it doesn't look like yeah and that and that that's something you have to pay attention to like when you're trying to get behind that two ball hey if i don't get there what am i giving up yeah busy goes with the two here and gets the cue ball on the far end of the table he's gonna have way the best of the distribution of these balls and tony's going to be forced to move multiple balls again at one time and do so effectively i think he's about even money to run out from right here i swear because of this ball going two rails is a big ball and the six is going to come up for easy position now six is going to come off the two up for easy position oh you see what he's trying to do there though he wasn't far from being a favorite to run out now he's gotten these balls in a real bad spot or tony might have to shoot at this 9-8 and send the cue ball towards them balls i don't know tough action here mark and i think this all stemmed from him trying to get behind the two bowl mm-hmm and it's one thing if you got one hanging in your hole but if when you're playing real good players if you don't have one hanging in your hole they're not going to sell out to you when the you you pin them behind there they're going to kick out of it or take a foul or something like that so tony comes with these a lot though oh did all right he's gonna have to dodge another free bank though it looks like well maybe not i don't think you'll see boosty pass on it though may not be free the 12 might be just enough ball there and that cue ball is going to come around they're pretty hot yeah i think the 12 does go i think actually the the seven will pass the uh 14 after you remove the 15 if you bank at it so everybody listening in bergman now has 2-0 lead on channel right yeah he made a nice bank and run out yeah after seven goes that changes everything then yeah if he removes this and i don't think he can get it thin enough to maybe come three rails with the cue ball any kind of safe way so i'll tell you what he could do though he could paint the one bank the one and come on all the way down and you're not giving up anything and you got a good chance to make the six or one of them balls so i wouldn't even worry about this this 15 right here because it is quite a big bit of a cut backwards also it blocks the seven yeah it blocks everything yeah and you can get the cue ball real nice and safe with the one yeah he was trying to get lucky coming three rails and we'll see that's not going to do it well bustamante will be lucky to see the table again this game it's all about getting on this first one don't try and do too much just get to the simple way of getting on that first ball three would be a nice one come one rail right up towards the four with the cue ball man what was that well that is the issue with tony's game is that he just does not have the ball management out here in the open layouts and yeah consistency now he's got to come with a straight back or something to he wants to be offensive but he can't afford that now yeah it's not lame right sometimes you punish yourself though you know should have been out here now look what i've done yeah it's gotten a little funny on this on this 15 ball to move it also it's a little elevated stretching could soft kick and just land behind the nine and six and probably not let them see anything but i don't think there's much value in that i'd like to remove this 15 for sure boosty never dreamed he'd come back to the table just losing one ball out of that enthusiasts in this building that's for sure the people in the section straight across from us they all hail from new albany indiana and they've become pool fans and go to tournaments and stuff they're pretty cool folks just talking to him earlier all right it's starting to look a little more like these balls are going up table again to me unless i just don't see yeah i just don't see how anybody can get pinned you can't get at the 14 ball so look at knocking this this six ball up the rail a little bit coming back behind me at 15. another great job with the cue ball there but who's to see the bottom of the ball yeah these balls got all doubled up again though i'd have to look and see what if the 13 and the five go i'd probably be banking the four back towards well no excuse me i'm confused on whose hole was who's there for a second did nice with the cue ball there yeah and they're going down table it looks like yeah that's the thing boosty will be far more effective pinning tony to the gold bar here as opposed to tony he can be sometimes a bit lacks and he's way up in the air here i'm just gonna watch out for a ball coming off another oh hit it light too what a great stroke look at that perfect very good shot welcome to the gold bar mr bustamante hmm man shooting the 8 into 11 here i don't see any problem as far as some oh yeah try to hit with that lighter stroke too really worried about something coming back down that's what both the guys are worried about like some kind of miraculous way that gets in between everything comes back down in front of their opponent's hole so by going way up in the air nowhere near the impact goes into the object balls and that really slows those balls down you can see he didn't try to get the cue ball all the way back that was just get through the inning shot right get to another inning this is amazing how when you elevate the cue how much pace it takes out of the object ball okay pretty good speed these balls are starting to get real ugly yeah i don't know if he can bank at this 14. i guess it doesn't go maybe it goes it's close but he's not really going to sell out anything it doesn't look like to me he's the key right the cut on the ball near the side is going to be a scratch shot yeah so he just played it mildly trying to get a little something going not bad much better than pure defense it puts a little pressure on tony too well and also yeah the next shot too what's right you'll see tony's side is getting a little less empty a little a little more cleared one ball he does have that goes a lot of places it's a scratch shot so he's going to open something up put it on his side could gaff him up though we'll see i think that's correct though going off the eight just coasting down to the unreal that's not going to get there oh ball and that was a point there that you really don't want to take a foul no no no that's just not you gain nothing for that expense well the ball coming on the spot makes things a little easier for your opponent as far as coming back to the end rail we were talking about jersey earlier don't you think i would i think i would have much preferred to play in his era could just count them oh yeah there was guys coming down the downside of their careers crane and lasseter they were still in that second tier i better believe they could beat anybody but there was just tons it was so dense i mean i could go on and on it was and and every tournament was full nine foot tables it was exciting yeah i can't remember the post somebody made about a tournament uh where was it at well they had uh i looked at the list it was about two months ago on facebook memphis yeah it was a memphis post yeah okay yeah it was incredible the list of players i mean i didn't know them all but i knew a lot of their names that's for sure and some of the guys you don't know in there play really good no i'm sure yeah i mean and we'd have 12 to 16 tournaments like that per year 20 000 added 300 entry fee nine foot tables full 128 or 64 whichever it was it was it was good good times all right he's gonna try and roll this one in looks like he hit it pretty well he did great speed yeah it's gonna be difficult to get out without taking some chance i think lucy will just give it to him okay i mean nick barner there's a name we didn't even mention in that group he was just coming in the upper tier yeah maybe maybe he had the greatest professional season ever in poole that year he did if there was 22 tournaments he won 13 of them yeah that's amazing and the crowd's actually getting bigger friday night here at the derby city classic this is the 20th annual we do have great fans and we really need a bigger arena it's hard to walk through the building get to the tables without bumping into people and you hate to do that [Applause] got a little more on that than he probably wanted didn't want to dive towards that hole that much but i'll tell you what it's filling up in here because i mean justin plays great don't get me wrong but three out of the four left are three three of the one pocket players that everybody came to see that's for sure i would say boostamani tony shohan shannon dalton and like i said of course justin plays great but just off top of your head you're thinking the guys you're coming to see play one pocket man you've definitely got three of them here geez he's kind of on something like he's thinking offensive i'm not sure what it is i don't know either is he banking a combination here [Music] oh boy sold out he was going for the cue ball and now he's giving up a cut shot on the four it's not easy but he'll definitely shoot it i believe he'll try and draw into the nine kind of fool some kind of way wow i think he's supposed to shoot at this the five ball bank he could fire it in and make it but yeah you're not gonna roll it in i don't think no pocket speed i don't think it'll go on this table the way the table plays you might just be thinking just making a soft stop shot right there and introduce the 12 as a blocker but i think the four is a better choice yeah well what happens is when you do that that five banks long gets on the side rail hits the end rail gets on the side rail then the guy's got to bank on the 12 to get below your ball also and get another bank yeah yeah this time yeah it's kind of like in between the in between kind of hurts you a lot of times boosty's going to hang the four at the very least if you said and i i think he's a huge favor to me oh now this is what's going to happen he's going to give up a bank on the 12. now i don't know if he's too flat to shove the cue ball past the five it's close yeah i think you're right i think he is going to be able to get the cue ball down table not only does he have this bank but he might have another bank if he succeeds oh how'd he play it really i really thought he should have cut the four though and going into that nine a minute ago i think he could have come off the nine and maybe got on the the 15 right there and maybe produced something on the one but now it's kind of just getting one and knocking some away i don't think he can hit this without side you know maybe if the six and the 13 weren't there he could maybe hit this with outside and have a big area to fall on that side rail but i think this ball becomes more miscible when you want to play with outside and come backwards with the cue ball and then in the back of your mind 12 balls hanging yeah i just flatten out make this and then dig his ball yeah okay yeah caught it pretty heavy but it still went in this table's playing a little softer than the outer ones i i believe yeah that worked out great with the money despite giving up some pretty good value to tony shohen as jeremy jones predicted would happen if he played that shot and he's less than fortunate that tony didn't rifle in a couple banks yeah yeah i thought he might fire the bank and try and shove the cue ball a little more but he's shooting the four here with with no cover at all no telling what's gonna happen with the double kiss so he's getting impatient now all of a sudden he's getting impatient all of a sudden we'll boost he'll enjoy this part of it he likes to shoot anyway yeah but even if the cue ball would have stayed over on this side you're giving up a cross corner bank on the floor so i mean just kind of trying to produce something that wasn't there lucy's looking at the combination not on but no he wants to bump it he wants to bump that those two balls i think could draw over truth trying to get on the one but if it's natural and he can just level out and go into them balls i think that's okay okay got a one ball he's supposed to shoot again in my opinion just come one row right into the 15 ball the whole position for the nine these types of shots a lot of times i just remind myself how easy this shot is really the pressure and the pressure looks tough you know but oh it's going to roll up on him okay next shot it was and now really get what looks like possibly four or maybe five if he drops on the four ball bank later on uh from really a spot that he's never supposed to get any balls from yeah boost he's thinking about going after the 15 next oh boy good speed really nice speed that's that big stroke killing that cue ball again now here don't try and get goofy and uh hit this with a lot of top inside trying to get safe making the shot that much tougher you're better off just to bury it make sure you bury it come across put a ton of inside you could easily miss it right over cut it yeah and you don't gain that much but yeah look at me while you hit it great he said well how am i going to get position if i don't hit it with top inside yeah and look at that hit it perfect now let's see boosting needs two so he can play position for a bank yeah and tony he exactly had that in his mind is hey ain't no way i'm he's gonna run seven from here and out so i can bank at this ball with no problem even if i give up one it's no big deal meanwhile he's giving up the entire game now while this is not an easy shot boosty can play it comfortably yeah and don't come back behind the 12 here a lot of people make the mistake get behind something when you need one they need a bunch you just play with an open cue ball meaning you don't want this ball to get a little goofy and you get him behind something and now he nip and tucks you a little bit and he gets to send one at his hole you're better off just to let him be able to see this ball and then remove it i know that sounds like that doesn't make sense but like say that ball gets on the bottom rail and you put him behind the eight well he may be able to bank the 12 and then get you behind the eight and start making a move back at the game where you just played open for that one ball he needs six or seven you get one yeah he's got to keep doing that he's in trouble right a little different story when you need a whole bunch of them sure yeah or you're trying to trap somebody but you're just trying to get your want right you're not trying to trap him no more and you want him to be forced only one nine ball but one pocket you just give them any air at all they really punish you capitalize on everything you do wrong is he going to kick this ball because it definitely doesn't bank he was going to kick one maybe the three but i didn't think there's no reason to be aggressive here you must like it you must really like the way it lays i'll tell you what though he caught the point here up and down mm-hmm even though that's a little bit of a crazy shot but i like it better than messing with these balls i i i don't mind that two-railer at all what you said because it's hit it hard it's not likely to lose at the worst just one ball well tony's gonna as we get everything in play now i think you can get at that i think you can get at that uh 14 ball crossing it towards his hole if he gets some froze on the rail here the way these uh he hit it light and hit it thin but if he could have gotten froze on the rail up here made things very difficult as far as removing the ball and playing the cue ball safe boosting money has made this a ball game now he's got to use his touch he's got a one rail to 14 back up towards that upper left hand corner and let the cue ball come off the side rail to the end rail below the eight not giving up a cross corner bank if he does anything else his good chance may give up a shot it lays natural though so you should be able to do it oh wow oh wow he was trying to two roll it out swing the cue ball which was a pretty safe shot it can for sure be a ball game now if tony can chip into the 11. well boosty kind of let this get out of hand to where one mistake could cost him if he had not put the balls back in play well he could afford a mistake probably but he didn't hit that real well i don't think no he was trying to hit a center and get all the way over to where he could cut the eight going to the balls i think so you got to cross this yeah it looks like it well he got on the ball up he may get out here if he can get full ah you got him he can't can't shoot but still he's got the cross corner now that's a silly shot why would you shoot this i think he feels good about lagging into the hole from those closest yeah but then you give up a cross corner if you don't make it i mean if you hang it and you said boost the money on that 11 cross corner good he's just going to knock it in no he's going super soft he's not coming all the way across well then he may leave him across corner on the sixth then so we'll see i'd like him one round the 11 and trying to win the game wow i hit a great leap yeah i didn't know i could hit it that way i think he felt like that was his shot oh no he didn't even give up across corner meaning if the six got down there everything was good so i didn't know he could hold it that much a crippling the real first shot that led to the bank and then the bank led the final ball position here well just a great out by tony but nevertheless the balls being down here in position to where they got at that was the problem but i mean things happen you know we've all lost from there yeah but the shot where he shot into these balls up here trying to tie up the long rail banks and it let tony bring the break that counts now he has a cut at the 15 ball yeah i might look at this 10 14 combination just a quick look at it it just it may lay where you can hit it naturally the 10's not going to get away from you too much it doesn't appear yeah that would be far more effective i kind of feel like tony's gonna look at everything here right besides okay i wonder if he's going to go all out here or just spin this a lot maybe even catch it heavy and try and trap him i'm trying to make it the reason why i say that is because he doesn't have much to get position on right you know what i mean right and just kick and try and stop his ball here the kick and stick yeah but it's up a wave yes so you know he also still has to be mindful of that 10 than the 15 because if the cue ball lays just right he can even play the 12 ball under that so you got to be not right now i don't mean but down the way he's giving it to him no he just hasn't been okay that's all right yeah especially as long as he got the 15 to cover the edge of the cue ball so you didn't have a straight back bank on the tin stack well then i want to get there here more but still pretty good oh no he's got him on it huh pretty good we've seen a couple people fail on this two rail kick this week meaning not that they followed but sold out and plutoman didn't take any chance of that just take a foul make sure he got it right opponent only has one ball on that side and you remove it it's gonna make it to where you're gonna end up getting a lot of the free looks uh free banks and free shots see two roundness it's wiring up in two rounds oh okay ooh almost got a bad shave and he got he's not paying attention lucimani needs two if he's got a 12 6 uh combination that's possible maybe after this yeah or if he can get on the 15 bull that would be nice anywhere on the 15 would be okay because he could either open the balls or get on the nine not anywhere but somewhere decent you know doesn't have a whole lot of angle here though no just take the bank really smart play he can hold his ball here you'll notice the 7 14 is it yes pretty gapped up for tony's pocket so oh i cannot believe that hung boost of money can't either that got in there so deep yeah which is going to make things difficult for tony as far as making the the 15 escape when he uses the 15 right to make that ball hanging yeah this requires a pretty good shot and i'm just gonna have to really take a chance here can't afford to kick long rail it's too tough with the ball that that deep he's just got to knock the 15 into it hopefully he doesn't get some bad kiss with the cue ball oh bravo gravel a lot of fun gravel pretty good great shot wow once i saw the cue ball coming over there i said okay he played still though that was wasn't easy not saying it was i'm just saying that that was probably the better yield you know when you have a tough shot that was probably going to get you more often you'd probably be successful more often that way than clearing that 15. you think i do you like the way he played it more you said i do yes well one thing about the way he played it it's completely up to him how things go go out go how they turn out right if he hits it well it's going to turn out well so it's not going to be like oh i hit it well and it's it's still got a bad kid exactly yeah i think it's more predictable the outcome and this maybe even has higher yield anyway but at the worst equal now this ball doesn't go two rails but he's going to put some speed on it trying to get create something yeah you can develop a lot of things he did real well got a little unlucky that the 9 is going to move the 12 pretty easily that's what tony was a little upset about there is going to be kind of an easy escape overall but still if these balls don't get if he does move him and they don't get moved into a great place tony could easily get a free long rail bank what's he doing going off the six trying to dive behind the nine problem with that shot is i guess he couldn't get out the nine or tony sure seemed like he act like a good but if you don't bury him right there you're going to be in a world of hurt now i mean he's gonna just come across this and you're not gonna be able to see the nine anymore oh he's two rolling no sir why would you ever do that that's the best annie corner hooked him maybe it's in there pretty deep once again maybe boosty can bank the eight of his pocket get the cue ball over here where it's all you know the 12 balls there yeah it's not gonna be easy well he may have to do that but he knows and other than bearing him behind the two and hanging the eight he's in a world of hurt for this ball game right that's that's the problem even if he can get to where tony doesn't run out on the next shot he's still such a tough position yeah that's tough to do i don't think he could do both at all now with a lot of high right well you know it can happen but i think you just gotta go i think you gotta take the worst of it and play it no the other way play the eight ball maybe eight more yeah yeah but then he'll cut the 12 in on you well he's going to cut the 12 in now anyway but i'm saying if you play the cue ball back behind the two don't worry about where the eight goes as much yeah you know what i'm saying like yeah at least maybe he's got to shoot away now you never who knows though he's not shooting a four is he he is wow must feel like he can go into the eight or something doing that oh he's shooting at 12 okay that was definitely always the shot a big turn of events from game two where pushamani had a to two lead i think right and and for all intents it looked like boosti had so much the upper hand of the ball dispersal oh no no no no that's not what you want there he got one ball from there again a couple times in this match t-rex has got one ball on open tables well he had a free one there if he just doesn't under-hit it he's gonna get below the one and have shape on the nine that's why he shot the rail first i guess the four probably only had a half a pocket is what i'm guessing going by yeah but he could have played the six it wouldn't just come over for the nine he didn't have to go real first oh really oh okay there was enough angle there oh you could steer just going to play for the bank i'm sure meaning shoot the eight and bank to six i got perfect where he can hold for the cut on the nine now if he can do that he can come one rail right into the five and 13. he can bank this in and hold for that thin cut on the nine which looking at your screen looks like he can a little too far and he he knew it he wanted to be able to get that cut yeah we've seen it in both these games that no lead's safe that's for sure right lucy's looking at he kind of wants to bank the far back but i think getting rid of the nine is gonna end up being the better shot he does have a couple blocker balls there he's going at the top he's drawn into edge of the 13 with pocket speed yeah oh boy devastating well he's a little upset about it but he ain't going to be too upset he can head to 13 and come over here a couple rails behind the nine or just one rail even he's not going to do anything with him balls up table i don't think he's opened the 13-5 enough now where they go into his the five at least goes into tony's hole so can't really go up table the two-wheeler on the 15 is just too tough yeah yeah i mean you can but if you don't want to get a kiss you don't for sure don't want to get that's what i'm worried about the kiss that's what i mean it's just too tough to make sure because you if you have any chance to not be that necessarily to take that because it's a low percentage shot yeah you're just supposed to edge the 13 and go over to the side rail and then back over behind them nine i think he might feel like he can do the tube [ __ ] or he's just putting it on his side yeah but now he's gonna cross it maybe or maybe not i don't know we'll see the one thing he got the cue ball on the rail so now if he wants to he has to go top spin yeah now control of it is not as easy he's going to try and put some kind of spin on it oh he's cutting it tony will cut a lot of these too tried to overcut it he's giving up a combination but i'm not sure if that's shootable it's close though this he has a two-railer straight up and back with the five if he wants it and then he can play with enough pace it clears the area so he didn't sell out a bank or you can just put it to five on his side that's probably the shot i don't know he might shoot your shot the first one the two-wheeler up and down because it's sitting good where you can hit it with a lot of pace if you want it but the thing right there is when you're doing that kind of shot you really need to not let them see the five i know it's hard to do but you need to look and see how i can even if i got to move the five up further yeah you know what i'm saying yeah even oh wow look at tony he's so good at those two rollers from all the time that helped a lot absolutely got a lot done with that shot yeah he kept him off seeing the nine he got a little funny angle on the five meaning getting it out of there yeah he's done a lot opened up all kinds of shots for in the future yeah now boost he's in trouble i don't really see it clean because if he shoots through the 14 i think it's the 14 yeah he hits the nine with the 14 i think so he just like he sold out a bank earlier in that other game on the cross corner on the five i don't know if you remember or not right yes he may be able to do it with the 10. he's got to hit it well though meaning he can bank the ten one row in between the five nine and follow down below he's shooting his combination he's going to bare the back of the nine here too it's not gonna be any lag speed here he's giving this a chance to go oh wow that's why i didn't like the five oh boy see he tried to hit it thick to make sure he didn't the five didn't catch the nine so he didn't get quite as much cut on the ball and the cue ball didn't get out of the way this was all set up by tony's uh play where he opened up all these balls there a minute ago when he made a real awkward two or three cushion shot at his pocket bumped everything open put [ __ ] in trouble and i think it was a little bit of boosted giving him some air like when he removed the five a second ago he let them see it pretty easily yeah you know yeah so like we talked about earlier that's it's it's using other balls to to get an eclipse to where they can only see a few to where there's not many options especially when you only have one on your side you don't want them to be able to see it so now tony only need three he's going forward here okay that's all ball behind the 11. that'd be a pretty prime shot here kick the 11 and spin the cue ball one row into the stack do that got some options here i think i like the five more than anything though this lays real natural okay he's kicking two rails at this trying to make it he's bringing the cue ball above the stack like so these guys amazing you have a great effort yeah but without containing the cue ball and you don't know the speed of everything now you've given him maybe a nine ball cross corner to where he can roll it in yeah that's close it's going to at least be close to his pocket when tony shohan gets done tony's looking at the 14 off the 5. he loves those types of shots so oh he's looking at a three-way what's he doing here he's just banking play the 11. and that's why oh that that's why that type of kick shot he was shooting i might have kicked and hit ball first and let the cue ball one run one rail into the stack rather than two rails trying to make it so much but yeah now he's in it he's in trouble here you can easily go off to 11 and make the nine but you'll notice then he's leaving him a bank on the 15 ball so i think if you go with a little pace though it might all get away a little bit but then the 11 might be breaking the balls up so he's got he's got some decisions here if i was going to do that uh i guess the 11's in the way probably to go by the to go off the 15 and make the nine and try and get the cue ball to run away somewhere after making the nine so he's in a tough spot here mark what about just lagging the cue ball not good enough legging the keyboard up to the end railing back at the nine that's okay but you're still asking to give up banks so we'll see he could cut the 11 on the nine trying to make it rail first and swing the cue ball around and the level would probably escape somewhere mm-hmm that's not horrible he's trying to just go all out for the beard i think yeah play the 15. yeah it's the other hanging up this is not happening yesterday just want you to know the table was playing softer yesterday i guess uh both of those balls would have fallen yesterday or the day before even easier well he did one thing he kind of knew he was sending that ball two rails into the stack trying to at least maybe not sell out the game meaning the ball he that he uh carried off of so we'll see if tony takes a big chance here going into these balls with his opponent having a ball hanging this is where you could get trapped or scratch ooh classic t-rex right there he yeah he's glad that shot's over with even though it didn't turn out the way he wanted he's not losing the game from it yeah now here he's got to decide if he wants to go into the stack and he probably does because the 11-5 kick shot is sitting pretty nice i'll give him the 10. he's not going to like that this is one he's going to have to dodge right here tony shohan is i think anyways does he have a good angle to get over on the 11-5 or even going forward he can cut the 11-5 combination from even if he has to go forward with the cue ball or bank the 10 and go forward and then cut the one and come across for the 11-5 so yeah i think the the one is the better because the eleven five is definitely not just dead on well he did a nice job with that well he didn't make it he got a lot of effect yeah he could have got him some from there i think tony's gonna have to be pretty docile here he may have to take a foul yeah you can go play off the one though and drop down below but he's got to still be super concerned about that 11-5 if you ask me eleven five is off pretty good right but it's still the time to make it's one thing but to trap you exactly no that's not that's right that's a big problem so right kind of don't mind what he's doing here even though there's enough room to hit it just right in scratch it's very unlikely now looking at the monitor there's not even enough room so he's gonna make it for him the way these balls are set up though he can kick at this with a little speed not a lot of speed but a little speed and and run the cue ball up table off all them balls as well moving more than one over you'll notice that little line of balls right there there's some gaps though and this is this is dangerous well the see the thing is though it's gonna it's gonna collide with a few of them depending on how he plays it oh he he missed the wrong ball he didn't hit the right ball he's trying to hit the 11. he's wondering how i missed that kick shot right there now the four ball could bank on the 12 safely might be able to cut this ball no he can't get at it i guess that's where tony should shoot the two away and push the 13-5 over towards this hole and stick them on them balls a little bit clear some balls you'll get one around to your side maybe he's just shooting the combination out right but it looks to me he could bank the two away into like the four or three maybe and shove them right on them balls he tries to play this this 412 if something doesn't get in front of the hole he's in trouble oh wow well what about if it goes in the hole what about the 1354 now what's that look like well they sometimes they line up yeah no it's close he's just gonna put the two down there and go into the stack he wants something to get up though there he goes up yeah i like this man he's gonna really keep the handcuffs on booster money here as far as boost he's just gonna have to kick below the two i think looks to me like justin might have fallen hand over there way the balls on the spot watch out for strike on the ball and get it to turn a lot easier so but the ones laying nice just like stop your ball 610 or the 710 don't bank this is one he should have a real good speed on okay he doesn't want the 4-1 to gaff up and it didn't so that's still going to be real real tidy cue balls lean right on the cushion one thing in bustamante's uh even though the score is only three to two you see the balls favor tony but they're all down here also if just in case busamani can produce something here in a couple of shots he can certainly win this fourth game okay you may have to dodge a one rail bank here on the four yeah he's looking at the cut on the one if you can spin it in or maybe just move it in front of his pocket yeah i know it's not the greatest but no it's not bad but i think he would rather bank the four and take a shot at making one i think i think anyways the four's landing nice he's close to it he can come straight across the table again the 710 don't bank so there's not really many issues there i guess he just wants to wiggle it closer yeah if he gets that cue ball just a little bit more boost he's in big trouble boost he can get to this real first though i do believe yeah it looks like he even ball first and now it's pretty even ball game even though it's four to two i would say the balls now kind of favor booster money a little bit just because that six and ten are out there or seven and ten excuse me i don't know about this i think i would remove the three probably come back down cross the three over and come all the way back down probably unless i'm worried about another kick shot that's a nice touch still let him see the four though he didn't want to do that every [ __ ] all right double kissed it wow that's why you see him throw his hands up in the air just a simple head right there this may be land now he's off the rail tony may be able to do something here aggressive may not be the wisest choice but well he can play the seven off the decision to make here yeah the 13 was the throw enough from there and then chipped at 11. you could sell out banks oh absolutely now you figure to have one trickling towards your hole but it doesn't on the side yeah so definitely some of these matches two guys that most of us here in the building don't mind putting a dollar on or two that being tony and bustamani again i like the way the balls for sure you can bank this cleanly which i'm not so sure he can hold position for anything doing that it's a lot it's quite a bit of an angle but i like banking it back on the 11 for sure and sliding the overhead he's got the tan if he wants it doesn't want to fall too straight but he has the bank just in case so mr monty playing for three i'll probably just go ahead and play for the bank maybe i don't know i mean if he has enough hang on he's not no reason to uh lucy wants to check the angle he's thinking about just playing for the bank he knows he needs two or double checking to make sure he needs two he got a little off angle where he can't really slow roll it so he may have to draw to the side rail back out for the bank he could come a couple rails for trying to get position oh he did he floated in what a nice touch now just one cross corner away from sending us to the hill here and he drained it 2-2 is our score and as they say in the philippines decision game we've had some good exchanges here yeah we've had some incredible shots and big turn up events in most every game really game two was incredible to me boosty was ahead 1-0 and 7-2 in ball count and shohan made one of the most creative one-pocket run outs that's that's the beautiful thing of one pocket and when we're talking about shots when you're down there playing them you can see and distinguish much better and the real first shot tony just felt like he was going to lag it into that pocket so close and control the cue ball so well from up here we're thinking he might have too much angle no during the timeout i brought that shot up and i was like well from up where i was looking it looked like you couldn't hold it that much and he's like yeah i put decided to put a little more spin just to try and hold it more yeah throw it more and it turned out perfect now that's that's the kind of break you want he'll heal oh that's tough very tough well justin bergman has emerged victorious and the beach shannon dalton six games in a row comes down to the final six players now final four players yeah pretty pretty impressive was justin's one of those types uh he learns as he goes anyways any kind of pool game he's a tough tough one tough cookie i'll tell you that and you can see there's just nothing great here at all you may see him rolling into the stack here i don't really see anything that uh he's looking at this i guess it'd be 14-3 off the 12. no that's not the toy he's looking at the 14-3 off the 15. that's how tough a break this was uh that the tony laid down if he shoots at this this will not be slow roll ladies and gentlemen watch out for the cue ball up in the corner off the nine oh what a shot went straight in what a shot oh and he can get some if he gets behind on this four ball if he comes across right now and tries to get on the 4 or the 14 or the 15 he can get a lot of balls i think that he's got a nice angle to come across there right now and he's got the aid as backup meaning if he doesn't get exactly where he wants go ahead and get all the way across now don't use the eight ah kind of got much higher on it but still he should be able to cut the four in and come right in between the 14 15 and catch the back of that 14 for a safety i think this is a winning shot he's got to shoot it no reason not to shoot this unless you're worried about missing but i don't think there's any reason to play the eight they cut you off you gotta shoot the four here and lucy's a shot maker i mean win or lose this this is go time yeah and it lays natural i mean you can't i know he wanted to be a little better on it but i think he can let his stroke out here on the forward just go right in between both of them and go right to the rail with top left and come and stop his ball with the 14. i just don't see the eight being the winning shot at all i just got to believe the four ball is the winning shot that's one thing even when you're nervous even when you're uh maybe feeling like you're struggling a little bit the better players they still when they're thinking right they go ahead and go down with what is the correct shot yeah you still have to play the right shot and he hit it thick so we'll see and he got a nice position on this somehow it's jacked up but that's not bad from there no he's close enough to it if he just rolls it in he should be okay doesn't have to elevate and stop don't worry about don't worry about selling out here this is where you don't just bury the ball i overcut it no he made it okay heart of the pocket you had me scared there jj well he got he moved on a little bit and i didn't think the angle he had the cue ball would go that far low on the eight i thought it would be more like straight in on the eight once again he's slightly impeded by the 14 otherwise this would be three for sure yeah he needs four might be good though because now there's not a letdown he knows he's got to focus on this yeah you just got to accept a little distance here is what i think just don't let up on it trying to hold your ball too much great shot and here's the shot after the break a combination karen never a doubt clearing clearing a lot of uh the balls off of tony's side as well so that was an incredible shot though yeah tony really laid down a perfect break that seemed like well it wasn't obviously but oh boosty moved a little bit on that one yeah well it's what is this about day number eight so it's not out of the woods though he needs two and you know i don't see two easy ones i mean i see the first one that's very makeable but there's a lot of ways to get punished if you happen to miss it and really get in shape never easy but really this was brought on by body body motion there and he did not hit the pocket purely on the ball previous to this and that would take key ball drifting another foot and a half away that's a good shot but to what you know i guess he thinks he's got a free cross corner or he's going to cut it to 12. i don't know i think i'm removing the 14. or i don't think he can get out of 14 can he yeah yeah yeah yeah now he feels he's feeling good he's feeling like he can hang this at least and control the cue ball enough that's not going to work but good with the cue ball no i think real good chuck well we'll see what do you think well i gotta look and see it but if he could bury him behind one of these balls over here you never know no true he's looking at crossing the one on the 12 which is real dangerous it could be very effective but thing is you got to really hit it hard for the one to escape as well so not also sure i'm in love with this i wouldn't be surprised if he leaves him a shot on the one say the one might get to the middle of the table and that's about it unless he hits it really hard oh wow one one long ways oh crowd loved it oh boy yeah well last time he shot he made about a perfect break and really and booster money almost ran out from it so we'll see what happens here i'll tell you what if he gets a little angle on this five ball you can bury this one little hang on this five oh he came all the way for the oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah oh my god oh look at this still though he's still yeah you never know what he might do from here it didn't work out but boy he took a chance is he too real in this can get it by there oh no oh boy he's
