KENA BRIDGE OF SPIRITS PS5 Walkthrough Gameplay Part 1 - INTRO (PlayStation 5)

[Music] so i don't know much about this game but i'll tell you when i first saw it a while back i was like i gotta play this like it looks amazing so uh amber lab actually gave me this game earlier so shout out to them it's called cana bridge of spirits i was gonna pronounce it like kina uh but their official twitter has a psa saying it's kana but you guys are awesome any sport dropping this is greatly appreciated i have two ps5 uh copies of this game i was gonna give away if you want a chance to win either like the video or leave a comment when you film my youtube channel um i want to see how many likes we could get in the first 24 hours on this video i i'm gonna say if we get like 20 at least definitely do a full series i can't wait to play this game so gotta jump in see the low times playing in 4k hopefully it looks nice see what the load times look like and i'm also going to leave the music on it looks like one of those games that doesn't have copyrighted music but we shall see all right so just kind of begins uh let me go ahead and check everything right quick always and kind of increase the brightness just a touch because when i added on my editing stuff where it looks kind of weird sometimes uh graphics mode fidelity mode locked at 30fps i don't like that performance okay upscaled 4k i'll take the 60fps any day of the week uh controls gotta play on inverted we're good there um we should be fine i checked the kind of i tested out some of the sounds in this game and the music to see if there's any copyright issues oh by the way i haven't told anybody this yet um but i wanted to say that as of right now when i'm recording this i'm officially on my own on youtube been with the network for 11 years and i'm finally i don't have anybody over me this is it so all the support you guys have dropped for me over the years the past 11 years of my life have been amazing because of you and because of that i am now officially i guess a free agent [Music] however you want to say it but anyways you guys are awesome let's get it all right we got different modes here story mode uh wrought abilities recharge passively when taking damage uh spirit oh i probably like the medium one i think the honestly the default is story mode which is kind of weird rider bill is recharged on taking damage enemies are aggressive um i'll try spirit guide can't be that bad right let's try it out unique wooden masks are carved to honor the dead placed in sacred shrines these masks gradually return to dust symbolizing the spirits peaceful journey into the next life not all spirits can travel this path alone struggling with tragedies of their past they linger become dangerous masters called upon to help these trapped and violent manifestations known as spirit guides okay [Music] oh so the game just kind of begins i tried playing with music off which is what i normally do for some games but this one i felt like it'd be impossible you know plus it's a smaller studio granted it is an exclusive right now it's on ps4 and ps5 as far as i know that's it um i do love these abilities though animation it almost looks like a pixar movie you know or dreamworks wherever your favorite ones are my favorite movie's always been kung fu panda all right guys that's how i roll i gotta run around guess we're just lighting up everything by walking next to it and then doing this ability i do like this though i didn't know much about this game i hadn't seen anything else on it i know they were trying to kind of protect their story which is why they didn't give i don't know if they gave early access like super early i got it maybe i'm playing this like a day before you guys are seeing it so um didn't want to rush through it though interesting hey let's go it lights everything up the graphics look really nice a little cut scene here i think this is as far as i got why haven't you come i sense suffering here spirit do you need help you know nothing of suffering this is my home my village [Music] turn back spirit guide oh there's actual combat here all right uh light attack heavy attack i guess you can lock off oh there we go i had the doom eternal feel when i tried to play without music i tested out it's like if it seems too awkward i just turn it back on whatever [Music] am i supposed to dodge and attack hold on and combat is really smooth i got 10 or something just now yeah look at this like the graphics it just i don't know i'm blown away right now let's explore i guess [Music] what is that wait can i interact with this [Music] getting kind of like a spyro vibe right now i don't know why this door is obviously going to open up if i had to guess no let's go over here see how the beginning of the game is a little bit darker than uh i was anticipating does that light up this door is this lit up now try standing on it i don't know if this is considered like a puzzle game or hack and slash like dmc i don't know i don't think it's like that let me see if there's anything like the menu there's no touch pad yeah there's nothing oh wait you can just save your game randomly i got you all right kind of absorbing this game for the first time so i might take my time exploring interesting definitely a nice uh nice looking game for sure be interested to kind of see how it i mean graphically it looks amazing but i'm also on the ps5 i don't know how the ps4 version looks i'm gonna assume it looks nice interact here here we go maybe a cut scene i saw him here somewhere [Music] where did he go [Music] [Music] hi there [Music] [Music] so [Music] hi [Music] it's all right what happened here little guy [Music] [Music] oh [Music] if the cutscenes seem kind of weird it's because i think during 30fps if i had to guess they do seem a little like slower but it doesn't take away it's just like a cinematic type thing i think we're good yeah oh you could double jump i was just going to say something about that earlier i was like man it'd be nice to have a double jump but i wasn't about to be complaining you know music is amazing combat's fun game has a really good feel good vibe about it so far all positives i guess i chased him a little guy hey rock bound let's go [Music] so i wonder what the official story for this is going to be this definitely feels like a tutorial type setup but i feel like something big has to go down to kind of put us on our own maybe let's get another one [Music] yeah let's go maybe there's five in this area we can collect to see what actually happens very light interesting game for sure oh we got it knock them loose with the pulse i guess and you collect them with your little companion here oh that's so sick you can dance with him [Music] oh it's so cool [Music] on the side now guessing the pulse is pretty much what you're going to be using throughout the entire game i'm going to guess you get other abilities that you can maybe bind with l1 which is the pulse button for right now i kind of want to keep exploring over here because i feel like oh there's like a whole other puzzle back here what is this oh no okay collect more rod to purify the dead zone heart got you well i guess we should probably follow them because i feel like it's a pretty linear experience up to this point i'm assuming that we go back here [Music] oh what we got here we got a chest as well [Music] hey let's go hey follow you around which is really cool we already came through there so let's hop down here i might up my sensitivity a little bit i feel like the turning is a tad uh slower than i'm used to let's go back this way i guess we need one more rut [Music] i like these cinematic type games you know [Music] hey let's go probably should have hopped out there first hopefully you can go to this waterfall last but not least numero cinco let's get it level one rock can now perform more actions all right your companions have grown and you can now you have one rod available so you can press square send the rod onto objects in the environment okay cleansing it essentially that's why we're we've got this area completed now all right here we go now we use a pulse hey let's go that's actually kind of cool we use this now to go up here i'm guessing i think we've already completed this area the touch pad for the ps5 doesn't doesn't seem to do anything i feel like the game does have like uh really good use of the haptic feedback and the adaptive triggers a little bit still kind of getting used to though look at him just hang it up i'm glad this game has a ledge grab because if it didn't would be in trouble uh oh we're going up all climbing is really nice in this game there's another one of those rot things we can or the whatever this is considered all right we got some combat going right scared him gone heidi you gotta basically okay take out all the enemies before they come back out and do anything um [Music] courage drops confirmed or collect crow drop with a pulse touch them hold on let me just rider ready uh you can destroy the [Music] so stop the spawn point i guess at least [Music] hey let's go [Music] okay so health automatically goes up out of combat nice and i'm playing on like the normal well i guess the harder difficulty than the standard one oh god nice little spot for climbing let's go baby um i think we're good i love how this game just you just thrown in and just you just play i've actually read where people are uh upset that a lot of games this year haven't been to i guess they call the word gamey like uh hey you play the game too much it's like it's such a weird thing you know they want like a cinematic adventure type thing all right the rock can move uh press square to have the rock pick up an object oh i guess we move it maybe i think like over here [Music] yo look at him that's so sick i thought as far as like best games this year resimo village is definitely up there for me this game has a lot of potential you know i should have hopped on it first i kind of feel bad for him adding more weight to it can you pick that up little shrine for us maybe hmm what the point of picking that up is can't really interact with it so yo i like that this is kind of like a puzzle type thing want to kind of test out the uh i guess there's so many different combat skills we get eventually oh no boss fight maybe we'll see let me help you i can heal these spirits and restore balance to the forest i know you are kind you sense the power that flows through this land but you do not fully understand it and corruption this land can be healed but you cannot stay here spirit you must move on you are the one who does not belong i will never abandon my people all right sprouts [Music] i gotta say i haven't played a game in a while where the because a lot of times games now just have like uh i guess i just block you definitely oh i see the little shield thing there on the bottom under the health bar god she got you [Music] but a lot of games won't really uh see if i get a little stagger here [Music] but it's like i don't know when the last time i played a game where you're taken out of the game to watch a cutscene i think it's a cool touch oh is it too hit right there you got to be cautious i don't know what happens when you die i gotta be kind of oh god let's see i'm filled do anything get that's a boss fight i'll take it all right now we use the rod over here [Music] so [Music] you can come out it's safe now [Music] look saya she cleared away the poison the little guys can eat it they love it my name is what are you two doing out here alone in the forest don't worry about us we've been here a long time and take care of ourselves i can see that you both look very strong do you know who that spirit was with the horned mask we don't know but when he shows up the girl's poison grows stronger hey what are you doing here in the forest i'm searching for the sacred mountain shrine can you take me there if you want to get to the mountain strong you have to help us with something first our brother tara was trapped deep in the forest we need you to help him great idea saya that'll be easy for her did you see what she did to that stick guy help us for eternal and would take you to not try come on our village is this way you guys to go listen to the uh the name of this taro or whatever it is uh that's a song by alt jade it's so good i don't know i love that song all right let's uh continue i like the simplicity of this game i it is weird there's no oh wow look at all this [Music] maps now i was just about to there's no map it seemed kind of weird okay here we go yo look at this all right the village one thing is i don't know if this is considered like a full-fledged game or if it's like let's see we got some upgrades oh my goodness hold on oh that's sick rot hammer i need more karma i only have 55 right now what does this cost 50. uh while sprinting could perform a sweeping attack okay oh hold on let me see this again after pairing perform oh wow well since i can't technically lose anything i felt like i should at least get i want to get a little bit more and well this probably might be the way let's go ahead and get one thing at least um what is this one do a heavy attack while sprinting got you all right i want to save my game because i don't oh yeah it doesn't doesn't actually save it for you i don't know if it was like a quick save or something that was taking place behind the scenes yo this game is beautiful look at this it's like uh how to describe it it just seems like they really took their time with it so i think this did this something this game got delayed did i think it's like a month maybe some finishing touches on it perhaps we should probably be scanning a little bit i do want to check one thing really quick with the controls i want to look at the okay what is okay the shield i'm guessing to parry you mash pulse at the right time that hasn't popped up with that yet i don't think or if it has i haven't seen it since around the attack me thing is if you do that i don't know if you gotta hold it down or what if you tap it it just does the pulse all right the village spring that runs beneath the forage carries with it energy from the mountain shrine [Music] yeah like when i said earlier i said something about spyro those types of older games where there's a huge map there's like no loading really well i can't remember if there wasn't that game or not such a long time ago and it's a ps1 game um but it's like seeing this hold on we got a cutscene purify the corruption all right got some enemies try here running attack really quick there it is [Music] i gotta say man like this game is actually surprised me a lot i think it's really good so essentially you can farm enemies let's go ahead and clean this out what is this can't go through i'm guessing we need certain types of uh other things cleared out beforehand chest right here oh wait hmm [Music] all right it's finally open my guess is enemy's gonna be coming with it though no i guess not [Music] it's like a little safe haven kind of so we can kind of explore now all right carmen upgrade so that's what those shrines are for the one we picked up earlier i'm guessing it's a shrine it's more just like a statue i create carbon by defeating corrupted enemies restoring the environment finding fruit from your rot to eat okay or for your rot to eat excuse me um it's coming to unlock new abilities got you too bad i uh already spent everything on the first thing right here which i like this the running attack it seems nice i think we're good new rod hat available and a little shop here what so purchasing this what is this digital deluxe staff [Music] oh you oh let me see him look at him real quick did it change let me get this chest really quick can i collect that new clover hat interesting i want it hold on let me open up everything i guess they gave me the digital deluxe edition so shout out to them uh so we got these different hats i'm gonna see something really quick i'm gonna unequip all and just see so [Music] purchase hats not really worried about it i don't think it matters too much i will hold the staff though because this thing we got one here hold on i don't think the staff i have is going to do extra damage but this is part of that deluxe thing might as well use it right like the attacks the attacks for the exact same oh hang on let me just collect or open hey let's go what i'll probably do i don't know what happens when you die in this game i don't know if it's like a dark souls type thing or just warp uh we can't fast travel i guess this is for later on once we can unlock that let's go search around up here and then we'll head through that area oh let me open this keep wanting to attack everything to unlock it you know [Music] probably gonna miss some stuff here and there all right here we go is tara this way the barrier is blocking the path maybe zaju can help he's usually at the masked shrine you'll know when you see the sacred trees all right investigate the mask shrine we got this thing up here i'm guessing that's what they're talking about yeah this is the master okay go ahead and [Music] the rot seem quite fond of you they're usually timid something tells me you did not come to our village looking for forest creatures hello spirit i seek passage to the sacred mountain shrine our village is bound to the shrine's energy but that power faded long ago trapped spirits linger here tangled in the tragedies of our past you must help these spirits if you wish to reach the mountain shrine on my way i met two children they asked me to help free a boy named taro i'm not surprised that benny and sia found you they are clever children [Music] and would do anything for their brother [Music] we have always crafted wooden masks to honor those who have passed on placed here the masks slowly turned to dust aiding the spirit's journey into the next life my father was a spirit guide our traditions are different but he helped many spirits pass from this life to the next so you know what happens to spirits unable to move on [Music] take tarou's mask it is bound to his spirit and will help you fulfill your promise to the children look after benny and sia their brother's fate will be difficult for them to understand all right tarou's mask uh spirit mask where spirit masks look through the mask to find your way open spirit barriers and reveal objects of importance in the environment rot hidden in the world okay [Music] oh okay so we can look around with this i guess i should just follow this initially nothing there all right so we put this on it's gonna we can't walk in this mode i guess let's see this said go this way i think interesting yeah [Music] i thought they all worked together [Music] hey let's go my little companions eventually there's gonna be like 100 of them i think i could be wrong all right let's uh put this back on i guess it just wanted to show us where that rot was i didn't know if you could hop in the water so how do you get a i guess maybe can i get them to bring it over here they're like all swimming around look at him how come i can't swim what is this sorcery hold on um maybe they can like carry me yo you can't okay you can't get in the water at all can't air dash either so i have to come back here later on and get that there's probably an ability i'm gonna get or i can dash an air if i had to guess just a thought all right let's go all right see we got back here oh hold on i might be able to jump to it from here i just realized that can i hop off the top i don't know can i take i want to see if i can take like really big fall damage uh um that's glowing for a reason my guess is it'll stop the water i gotta break this somehow and it's gonna stop the water from going down there then i'm assuming the water will magically evaporate my i'm tempted to hop off the edge there but i don't know if i should i mean besides these rocks glowing the boulders this i can't do too much if i could throw something i can't have them go do anything either so um you know what i'm just going to try this almost hey very very close oh my god just put me back over here the loading times are insanely good and what was that it's like on the side of that house right here unless it's like outside that i didn't see [Music] all right looks like we're uh set up to go look around here so i wonder if i can actually go through here now hey is that taro's mask did zaju give it to you maybe you can use it to open this barrier follow it maybe it will lead us to toro [Music] sorry for the weird cut all right guys let's get it had to help around the house a little bit you know clementine just woke up i want to like just put the mask on let's go look around obviously this chest is there but it's interesting how this game is kind of shaping up because i really like the design of everything it's also fun fun factor is really high on this [Music] we do anything with that it's like a spiral type thing i guess not oh hold on hey let's go all right there's probably all kinds of hidden stuff in this game there's chess down there too wait i've already been down there where am i at we're supposed to go all the way up here um i will come back for that later we'll stay on track really quick you know at least for this first video hopefully this does well and you guys want more i would love to do the full game it seems like one of those games i would just play for hours i haven't seen that toby in a while is usually playing with the children across the street okay oh [Music] hold on let me just want to look around a little bit it went through here but we can't get past there's more of that nasa walking the path can you get rid of it so we can get through i'll try it here we go we'll cleanse kill some enemies hopefully uh the rock can purify special flowers to restore uh can his health um okay cool stop blocking [Music] i can't do anything to this enemy [Music] brake heavy heavy attack i guess is the only way all right maybe a tank breaks it i can see the running heavy b being like very useful oh hang on i just saw the icon [Music] oh no let's go baby oh no don't mind me [Music] oh man there's a lot what i don't like because the combat doesn't take away from anything it if anything it adds to like the way the game is just enhances it all you know because it doesn't seem overdone you know all right now we're using this [Music] getting each side i guess after a certain amount of enemies they'll drop whatever we need to then patch everything up [Music] gotta be cautious this is one that has it okay or no i guess not i don't know what that icon means [Music] figuring it all out last but not least done that looks much better now [Music] you can use this to attack forest terrace table restore the rot to their original form minute [Music] that's actually really awesome they all synchronize together too which is cool boris tears up here sometimes after a very old tree dies or after there is a fire i guess i'm going to use know what i was getting into because i had kind of avoided watching gameplay for it i've only watched like trailers and some cinematic stuff you know on twitter and everything but i'm this is definitely way better than i was expecting and it's really fun too can i go back here [Music] i love that you can just kind of go anywhere you want you know but it also feels it's like a linear experience in the beginning but it also now that we got the open world um headed up here so we'll see what happens and i like that it has like what's available flower shrine hats and as you go to different areas it'll show like what's available so we know like how much more stuff we can collect a game of collectibles i feel is gonna be the way to go let's talk to them before we go in here and inevitably fight something there's more poison ahead we'll just wait here all right leave it to me let's go nice [Music] i don't know if i should like use a rod there [Music] there we go i should have area we need to go this seems more like a side area so we'll see more rats will do hey let's go 11 out of 15. what does the map say one out of seven all right uh upgrades we got 125 which i think is exactly this is a hundred so i really want this [Music] i don't well i don't know if that's actually let's see what this one is the shell of the strength okay or the the strength of this shield is better um while jumping do that what is this one strikes from a distance that actually seems like it'd be very good i feel like i should get that but i also want to get these other abilities i think this heavy one because against those enemies with the uh with the shields i think it'd be a lot easier to kill them like that all right let's get going let's keep it moving hope you guys are staying safe by the way it's been a wild last couple years to say the least oh no i don't like this vibe i'm getting oh no [Music] i saw it saving oh look at this area yep time to go face the music here we go my guess is first huge boss of the game [Music] so [Music] what happened what did you see when you put on taro's mask taro is here but he's forgotten who he is we need to find three relics to help him remember the forest is huge how do we know where to look maybe mr russo can help us his house is up that way all right this is gonna be uh i thought i was gonna find a huge boss right here click all through relics to summon taro okay i've already interact with them look at the map really quick i gotta say man like i'm highly impressed by this game's like direction [Music] okay here we go this stuff slows you down a lot too you got to be cautious what got some stuff over there we can clear out oh so we're headed wait going to this person's house wait can i make this oh yeah i can little spot on the under on another rock was a ledge grab area so we're good to go oh wait this is what they something can eat i think hold on i could be wrong if i can attack in midair no i can't send them to get it either won't let me maybe later there they are lucy's house is so far away you can see his lookout at the top of the cliffs oh my that's the house right there that is the house you gotta be kidding me hold on that's literally insane hold on uh we can't swim so this part's off limits i think we actually have to go oh yeah it looks like you go right here go around cut through here well i don't know maybe this is going uphill though so we got to go this way let's put the mask on really quick make sure there's nothing around me that is trailing to another rats [Music] what is that simplistic nature of this game [Music] essentially we're doing enough damage in combat to then get the ability to cleanse it oh my god hold on there we go still got this part back here though it's going to open up in the end um all the throw rocks too how convenient i don't know if quick attack seems to do more dps over time than heavy attack also i mean break shield and arm or something like that but i don't know yet like if you're spamming it i don't know which one's better huh one of tara's memories i should see where it leads me all right so far so good at least we're going uphill is what i was hoping for and we are following this path on the map which makes a lot of sense so i saw the house i was i mean i'm guessing that was the house [Music] just wanted to check everything out you've not looked at like 45 degrees or whatever didn't even go around once oh hold on use the mask look a tear of the forest it's a sign of regrowth [Music] death always leads to a new beginning [Music] hmm i do like that we're gonna come across puzzles a lot in this game it seems like all right so is there anything oh here we go i'm with the full scenic route that's funny let's go this way and see what it is oh there's some more right here we have to go get that hold on let's do it again there's not a lot of time it seems like when what should summon it i'll show you i try to bring it back here with me it's weird to control both at the same time here we go here we go [Music] there we go this is gonna give me a lot i need to go spin these but it's insane how much you get [Music] that soundtrack just got crazy for no reason probably missed a lot of different things so far but that's why this mapping pretty much go anywhere the entire game loading is nice i'm guessing cutscenes also help with like the load uh hold on i think if you go down this at all you start sliding backwards the cut scenes kind of help with transitions maybe [Music] that would be my guess what we got back here [Music] get them right what i don't know to find a good like stopping point for this first video i wanted to try to make it about an hour long we'll see so funny let's keep going oh you can warp back there now so this is gonna be a teleport let me just check this out hold on i haven't done this yet so this will kind of give me an idea of what to expect ruins so we can go to this one and we also go to this one i want to go here and spend a little bit the load times are really fast though anyways so it really doesn't matter hmm so you can get all them these different things like i don't there's got to be more than i could [Music] i guess you can't let's unequip all does it really matter why they wear those i guess it doesn't really i don't see a benefit to them let me double check one more time they don't have like perks or anything yeah there's gotta be other ways we can spend that down the road um upgrades 160. i do want to get this perry but i also one rod action available that seems very strong i feel like rod is the way to go in this game the perry system this also leads to the shield and game right when you successfully parry i'm always dodging though so i don't know what will be best here can't get this until rot level two so let's go and get the rod hammer um i think we're good there all right so now i guess if we want to go back do we i don't think we need like okay so we don't actually have to be at that little thing to teleport which is kind of nice all right that might stop here for now um i'm assuming that is the house up there that is
