welcome to healing house we're glad you're here this morning it's good to see all of your faces and for those of you joining us online we're glad that you are with us also and we're glad that you can see our faces although we cannot see yours but we welcome you all the same so we are so excited about this weekend we just came out of streams academy we had our gathering last night god did crazy awesome things all weekend he always does through that and so we sort of slide into sunday expectant expectant after all that we've seen him do and i know that we slide into sunday always expect it but there's just some sort of different level of stirring after the weekend where the holy spirit's just done these amazing things and we're anxious and excited to see what he's going to do today so with that let me just start us in prayer and then we'll go into worship all right father thank you thank you thank you lord thank you for who you are lord we love you we love you god we love you because you first loved us in such a way that we can't even think or imagine or comprehend we have just a little taste of that and it's so amazing so thank you god for loving us so totally and completely god we come into this place together to corporately worship you to put you in your rightful place enthroned god you are god and we come together to say you are god and we praise you you are worthy you are worthy worthy worthy worthy of our praise worthy of our adoration god and so as we come before you lord our hearts turn to you we are expectant we have a holy expectancy to encounter you today to meet with you today we lay every bit of our cares and concerns at the foot of the cross so that we can be fully present and vertically aware we love you lord we praise you in jesus name our ears oh god our ancestors have told us what you did in their days and days long ago with your hand you drove out the nations and planted our ancestors you crushed the peoples and made our ancestors flourish it was not by their sword that they won the land nor did their arm bring them victory it was your right hand your arm and the light of your face for you loved them you are my king and my god who decrees victories through you we push back our enemies through your name we trample our foes i put no trust in my bow i put no trust in my bow my sword does not bring me victory but you give us victory you give us victory over our enemies you put our adversaries to shame in god we make our boast all day long and we will praise your name forever so as we're worshiping and he is the we say flow oil of god flow yeah yeah i am [Music] is every place that has been hard every place that has been stunned every place that has been bogged down oh earth [Music] just move with him right now i don't know what that means for each one of you just some of you just been moving i just see him just releasing just a fluidity in him a movement and ease as his breath comes through as god feel like it's a battle crime like excited up here you know so i used to be a cheerleader and we would you know engage the other team and we would say we got spirit yes we do we got spirit how about you you know and it was this big battle and that's what i feel like the lord is doing this morning just shoring us up we got spirit yeah we got the spirit all right so father thank you thank you thank you that you are not the same in that way you do different things i mean you're the same but you do different things and i love it i love it so thank you father and thank you for giggles and thank you for anyway sorry laughter i know it's me i know susan just said and charity yes yes all right so welcome to healing house we're so glad you're here this is who we are right we are allowing the spirit to do what he's gonna do today so we're excited about what john's going to share well i have a couple of quick announcements but before i do that i do want to give you the opportunity to continue in couple of announcements guess what we are so excited we have james gall coming in october who's excited about that so for those of you that don't know we do a once a month gathering and that gathering it looks different every time and that's probably my favorite part sometimes there's teaching sometimes we never get there because there's ministry there's always worship there's always something good but this next time in october we're gonna have james gaul and we're so excited to see what he's going to bring he carries so much such a papa right such a father of the faith and so we're excited about that those dates are oct that is october 8th also just to let you know we have one more module left for our streams academy it's a bookend so it is all about walking out in a healthy prophetic in healthy in the prophetic there we go i have my words this morning and so it sort of ties up what we've been doing this whole year in academy but if you haven't joined us for the other modules this is a great one actually to jump in because it's such a great i don't want to call it a recap because it is new but it's just like a shoring up so i love it that's module six that will be in november and december and then for the mentoring piece on that we have justin allen and he is a part of global awakening fun guy john has done some stuff with him so do we have a conversation with him what do we have on video alive alive with justin allen that's what it was so you can always go check that out if you're like who's that and why would i want to come that is why and then i um i think that's it yeah i was like wait i'm gonna tell them about oh the book i knew there was one more okay so some of you have heard that we are releasing john has authored a book called dream elements and we are releasing that the we finally have a solid release date we're so excited and it's october 25th and so if you do a pre-order they're 24.95 and it's a hardcover it's a pretty good deal he will sign the pre-orders but what i'm so excited about i tell you all this every time so you probably get tired of hearing it but this is a tool this is a tool not just for you but this is a tool when your lost neighbor is talking to you and says oh my gosh i had this crazy dream and i was in a car and i got stopped or whatever and it's an opportunity for you to use these tools to speak into their hearts god is talking to you through your dreams look at this book it's an evangelistic tool in a way that i mean what else do we want cultivated except that god is speaking to us right like when you imagine when you were lost if that was the tool that someone used god loves you so much that he is coming to you in your dreams look at this so we will have those in time for christmas you can get them as gifts or whatever but we're super excited about it as our family you could also pray you could pray just over that book that people who don't know jesus would get their hands on it and it would really be an encounter for them we would so covet your prayers in that all right so with that i'm gonna pray and welcome john okay all right father again we just love you you're just so fun and amazing thank you're so good you're so good thank you for john we ask right now lord that you would give him stamina as he's been teaching all weekend god that your holy spirit would move through him and give him to such energy holy spirit energy as he delivers this message that's been brewing on his heart god would you speak straight through him would this be something that when we walk away from here today we're like oh my goodness god meant that message just for me we want to hear from you lord we're so expectant we love you and we praise you in jesus name amen thank you yay it's been a great weekend yeah this has been really good we had a fun testimony we shared last night as somebody that got um healed of something they've been dealing with for a little over a year they had a how they described as a rock in their stomach and got a word about somebody having something going on and just completely healed was able to sleep for the first time in months sleep through the night no pain the rock is gone they can't find it and eating normally which they hadn't been able to do for almost a year so it was it was just really cool god is doing some fun stuff well i'm i'm starting something this week we'll see how long this lasts but earlier this year we had bonnie shavda with us and she was she had some some great things to share but one of the things she was sharing was just the the need to remind ourselves of the foundations of who we are and she shared a little bit about the the apostles creed and i thought at that time that at some point i wanted to just go through the apostles creed and teach through the the different aspects of that and so we're actually going to be starting that today my message will be in the first four words of the apostles creed that you'll understand um why that is so as as we get through this but if i was going to give this a title i'd say keep the main thing the main thing it's so easy to get distracted with little things whether it is in life whether it is in theology who who god is what that means to our lives and if we can keep the main thing the main thing if we can keep god in the center of it all we will have the capacity to be able to withstand whatever it is that comes no matter the circumstance no matter the situation that we find ourselves in and reminding ourselves of who our god is is a great way to build our trust and to build our faith and so the apostles creed some of you may have memorized this some of you may have not not necessarily heard this for a while but it goes like this i believe in god the father almighty creator of heaven and earth i believe in jesus christ his only son our lord who was conceived by the holy spirit and born of the virgin mary he suffered under pontius pilate was crucified died and was buried he descended to hell the third day he rose again from the dead he ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of god the father almighty from there he will come to judge the living and the dead i believe in the holy spirit the holy catholic church the communion of saints the forgiveness of sins the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting amen yeah there's some so many great things that are throughout these statements where this comes from just just to give a little bit of background is as the church was forming and understanding what it meant to to be living in this new covenant that had been prophesied jeremiah talked about this time when we'd be given a new spirit where god himself would come and indwell us that he would write on our hearts his law his reality that there would be this change and jesus shows up and affects this change and they realize we need to rethink what it means to live out the the covenant relationship that we have with god based on what he's done and there arose a lot of different thoughts and ideas as to who god was and what that meant that had to be communicated had to be dealt with and removed so that the truth that god had given us in scripture could be protected and so as as the church universal with the word catholic literally means universal the whole church um as the church universal at that time was dealing with these false teachings they began to solidify what the truth of scripture actually was and put it together in simple confessions that would be easy for the average person to remember and would be an outline of how to teach the basics of what it means to believe in god and have faith in what jesus had accomplished and so this is this is a statement that was given that laid out the most important tenets of faith and throughout the ages it's been kind of a benchmark for the church as to what is true and what is not true it it's it's one of those benchmarks that that describes the difference between heresy and bad teaching because you don't have bad teaching it's not necessarily heresy but heresy is something that directly contradicts the nature of god and the nature of the work of christ this clearly communicates what is orthodox christianity what is true what do we believe as a people of god what has been given to us and what do scriptures say and so reminding ourselves of these foundational truths are so essential because if we get caught up in the little things then we can lose some of these foundations and there's a lot of things that happen and they're not necessarily bad and it's not that we should not spend any time on them as long as we keep the main thing the main thing we have to have the foundations right because there's a lot of stuff that's available but there's some things that are essential we need to stand on the essentials and if there's time left over we can explore what's available but we have to stand on the essentials and so we're going to talk about these different things that are in this confession that has been given to the church and the first four words i believe in god now we go through in the confession what that means but i just want to start with the idea of god what makes god god what what does that actually mean to be god what is different about god other than other things what what makes him unique in who he is and and there are fave five excuse me basic attributes that we can see that god has that nothing else has no one no thing in all of the universe there's only one thing uncreated but there's in in all of the created order he is the only one that has any of these and he has all five of them and these five unique attributes are omnipotence omniscience omnipresence immutability and eternality and i'm gonna go through these fun words for us omnipotence literally means to have all power god is all powerful the god that we serve has absolutely no limit to his power jeremiah 32 verse 27 says behold i am the lord the god of all flesh is anything too hard for me he has the power to speak let there be light and the foundations of creation became everything that is was brought into existence out of him he has all power there there's no limit to his power there's no limit to his ability there's no limit to what he can do he chooses to not do certain things because of who he is but it's not because he can't it's because he won't that there is absolutely no limit to who what he can accomplish and this has some very practical meanings to us because he has all power he's able to save he he can say like like jesus says in john that the the father has given him some and no one can take them snatch us out of his hand because the father is greater than all we can have trust that our god is able to save because our god is absolutely powerful there there is no limit to his capacity but everyone else has limits to their ability he has no limits he can actually save he's able to save because he is all-powerful because he's all-powerful he is able to perform wonders and miracles he can he can save in so many different ways and he's proven it throughout the the history of mankind he took dirt out of a ground that he had created and formed it into the shape of a man and kissed it breathing into man and it became living being and we are that's power that that that is power he created he breathed out life and we become a living being his power his spirit in creation is what allows there to be life and creation if he were to withdraw his spirit there would be no life if he were to withdraw his presence nothing would be all that is would cease to exist he is all-powerful and he continues to uphold all things by that power that continues his word that was spoken in the very beginning continuing to be spoken is why atoms are still connected to each other and there's not just nothing it's why cells have been able to come together to put a chair underneath of you that's made up of 85 empty space and it's holding your weight the power of god it was the power of god that was able to take a group of slaves out of the hands of the world power of their day bringing that nation to its knees and call them to his own bringing them into a land this little band of people that went into a an area a land that had fortified cities walled cities well protected that have been able to withstand the the forces of nations moving through the the fertile crescent over the ages and they come in and take over the whole land because he is all-powerful because he is all-powerful when they began to turn from him and begin to worship other gods he he raises up nations to come against them and the syrians begin to come and they conquered the northern nation of israel and then he raises up babylon that comes in and conquers his people and pulls them into exile but he makes sure that they don't get lost he makes sure that they don't get dis destroyed he keeps a remnant even in the middle of the judgment and he keeps them out of the land he keeps the land free for 70 years and then by his power he causes a king that has now conquered this nation to say hey send them back to their land and tell them to build a temple to god there was no limit by his power he came and he put himself into the womb of a young teenage girl and god became man and man carried god the god-man the incarnation jesus the christ fully god fully man walked the earth and was able to resist all the powers of the enemy everything that the enemy could do to try to bring him out of just doing his will to to bend to the enemy's will in anything and in nothing did he fall he was tempted in every way just as we are yet he was without sin he withstood the full brunt of the powers of hell and accomplished the will of god and willingly laid down his life and then he he raised himself from the dead comes out of the grave and he's now sitted at the right hand of the father waiting for the right time where he will make all things right this is a powerful god the god that we serve has no limit to his power we can trust him for salvation we can trust him for salvation of our eternal lives and we can trust him for salvation in small minute details of our lives if god had limits to his power he would have to make sure that he only used his power for the important stuff he would have to limit himself to the big stuff i mean there's nations that are raging i mean he would he would have to hold on to his power to only do the really important stuff like wars famines those kinds of things he wouldn't be able to deal with an insect bite that's itching you he wouldn't have enough power i mean that's just so minute what a waste of time if he actually had limit to his power that would make sense but if he has no limit to his power he can do the little thing and heal an insect bite and heal your headache and raise the dead and stop a war and create a new universe and he still has leftover power he does not run out he does not have to hold on to only the big things he can be as as involved in the little as he is in the big because there's no limit to his power he is omnipotent he has all power luke 137 says nothing will be impossible for god nothing will be impossible for god and his power does not guarantee that we will get every salvation that we think that we need in the moment because sometimes he has other things that are going on that does not change power job learned this the hard way but at the end of his trial god shows up and let's go to job chapter 38 and reminds job of how powerful he actually is job 38 and i'm going to start in verse 4 and we'll go to about verse 38. we're going to read a long passage of scripture where were you when i laid the foundations of the earth tell me if you have understanding who determined its measurements surely you know or who stretched the line upon it on what were its bases sunk or who hit its counter who laid its count cornerstone when the morning stars sang together and all the sons of god shouted for joy or who shut in the sea with doors when it burst out from the womb when i made clouds its garment and thick darkness its swaddling band and prescribed limits for it and set bars and doors and said thus far shall you come and no further and here shall your proud waves be stayed have you commanded the morning since your days began and caused the dawn to know its place that it might take hold of the skirts of the earth and the wicked be shaken out of it and it's changed like clay under the seal and its features stand out like a garment from the wicked their light is withheld and their uplifted arm is broken have you entered into the springs of the sea or walked in the recesses of the deep have the gates of death been revealed to you or have you seen the gates of deep darkness have you comprehended the expanse of the earth declare if you know all this where is the way to the dwelling of light where is the place of darkness that you may take to its territory take it to its territory that you may discern the paths to its home you know for you were born then and the number of your days is great have you entered the storehouses of the snow or have you seen the storehouses of the hail which i have reserved for the time of trouble for the day of battle and war what is the way to the place where the light is distributed or where the east wind is scattered upon the earth who has cleft a channel for the torrents of rain and a way for the thunderbolt to bring rain on a land where no man is on the desert in which there is no man to satisfy the waste and desolate land and to make the ground sprout with grass has the reign of father or who has begotten the drops of dew from whose womb did the ice come forth and who has given birth to the frost of heaven the waters become hard like stone and the face of the deep is frozen can you bind the chains of the pleiades or loose the cords of orion can you lead forth the mazeroth in their season or can you guide the bear with its children do you know the ordinances of the heavens can you establish their rule on the earth can you lift up your voice to the clouds that a flood of waters may cover you can you send forth lightnings that they may go and say to you here we are who has put wisdom in the inward parts or given understanding to the mind who can number the clouds by wisdom or who can tilt the water skins of the heavens when the dust runs into a mass and the clods stick fast together so he is he's bringing to our mind his power compared to our inability he's done all of these things he he was involved in salvation he was involved in creation but he is created and he is constantly involved in creation causing things to be exactly as they are moving all of these details in all of the earth to accomplish his purposes if he didn't call the sun it would not rise the earth would stop spinning or the sun would stop spinning however that would work if he did not cause the waves to stop they would overflow the whole earth he's involved in the little and he's involved in the big he has no limit to his power i believe in god he's omniscient meaning he knows everything there there is nothing that he does not know there is absolutely nothing in all of creation in all of history and all of the future that he does not know first john 3 20 whenever our heart condemns us god is greater than our hearts and he knows everything god knows everything he knows every thought that you've ever had every motive that's ever moved you can pick up a piece of dirt off of the ground if we didn't vacuum it up and he can tell you the full history and the full future of that piece of dirt when it was created what plants it was part of what animal ate those plants what animal ate the animal that ate the plants when it was expired back onto the ground turned back into ground became a new plant all the way from the very beginning all the way till now until the end of of time and he can do that with every speck of dirt in every planet in every galaxy in the universe right now he knows it all every bit of it he knows exactly how many hairs are on your head right now including how many you lost this morning when you brushed it or combed it when you took a shower he knows every detail he knows the exact state of every cell in your body he's watching it looking at it exactly where it is whether it's working how well it's working when it's ready to die when it needs to be replaced and he's involved in every bit of it for every person for every animal and that's just on the earth he there there's no limit to his knowledge he he knows exactly how everything worked his his intelligence is such that he created the universe in such a way that would actually would work we still have things that we've been studying the the greatest minds of mankind have been studying for for centuries in the human body and we don't understand it we don't get it we keep on finding new things that we didn't know about when we we can look smaller we find that there's smaller things that are making up the things that we thought were the smallest things and when we get bigger we find out that we're actually part of something bigger than we ever thought there's no limit how big it is or how small it is and he knows it all put it all together by his wisdom he established it so that there would be life and that life would be able to hold his purposes because he has a plan for each one of us he has a plan for creation and we are part of that plan and his intelligence is such that he has not missed anything he has not forgotten anything he's not going to lose anything he didn't mistake anything he's not surprised by anything there is nothing that you can do that he didn't know beforehand he already knew it before you thought about it he knew it before he created anything he'd already seen it all the way to the end now this says that you can trust him if he says something he's not going to be surprised by new information if he says something and and you find out new information and you don't understand how this fits into this you can trust what he said because it's not about your capacity to understand he is trustworthy because he knows it all he's not surprised he doesn't change you you can actually trust when he says this is the way that it is it actually is that way but people say it's different they're wrong he actually knows they don't know they have limited capacity to perceive but they do not have true knowledge only he has true knowledge he knows all things in all places he knew your future before your past so like larry randolph says when he determined your destiny he factored in your stupidity he's not surprised by the mistakes that you have made along the path that he gave you he called you and if he called you and he knew you when he called you he's not going to change his mind you can trust this god because he knows all things let's take a look at isaiah chapter 46. this will be a shorter passage passage isaiah 46 we're going to read verses 8 through 11. remember this and stand firm this is key how do we have stability in the midst of changing times how do we stand in security when everything around us is changing and we don't know what to expect remember this and stand firm recall it to mind you transgressors remember the former things of old for i am god there is no other i'm god there is none like me declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done saying my counsel shall stand and i will accomplish my purposes he knows the end before the beginning so this idea that god is figuring out what's going on as we walk through time has nothing to do with scripture he does he doesn't need to figure it out he's not getting any new information when a new moment shows up he already knows it all he's already seen the future and he has not changed and he can tell it in as little minute detail or his broadest stroke as he would like there are there are people that have great degrees that are arguing still today on whether or not some of daniel was actually written in the time of daniel because it's way too accurate to what actually happened when alexander the great's kingdom split into four different kingdoms the the the the movements the dynamics who married who i mean he he says who's going to marry who he says this one's going to go this way this one's going to go this way he laid out in detail that this whole time period there's no way anybody could have written that ahead of time so they say well there must have been two writers for daniel because there's no way anybody could know that much detail about what had happened no he knew he'd already been there we'll get to the eternality of god here in a second his knowledge is unlimited there's nothing that he does not know and you can trust when he says this is the way he knows when he says these are the boundaries of human activity it's because of his wisdom and his knowledge when he says these are the limits of human sexuality is because he has knowledge that says this is the best thing this is the wise thing he is not limiting and trying to withhold something good he is holding us within boundaries for our good when he says this is the way to interact with other humans this is the way to steward your own heart do not be puffed up hold back selfish ambition don't let vain conceit stop you he is doing it not to hinder us but to help us he is absolutely wise his knowledge is infinite and what he says is right we can trust him we can trust his standards of righteousness because he's actually smart enough to figure it out and we are not are not the omniscience of god the next is omnipresent literally he is present everywhere simultaneously he is everywhere he is the only one that's everywhere we'll get to that here in just a second but let's take a look at psalm 139 he is in the farthest star and he is in the deepest atom he is at the bottom of the sea in every physical place he's in every spiritual place there is no place that he is not he is omnipresent starting in verse 1. the psalmist says oh lord you have searched me and known me you know when i sit down when i rise up you discern my thoughts from afar you search out my path am i lying down and are acquainted with all my ways and we're still talking about the omniscience here even before a word is on my tongue behold o lord you know it all together you hem me in behind and before and lay your hand upon me such knowledge is too wonderful for me it's so high i cannot attain it where shall i go from your spirit where shall i flee from your presence if i ascend to heaven you're there if i make my bed and she'll you're there if i take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea even there your hand shall lead me and your right hand shall hold me if i say surely the darkness shall cover me and the light about me be night even the darkness is not too dark for you the night is bright as the day for darkness is as light with you for you formed my inward parts you knitted me together in my mother's womb i praise you for i'm fearfully and wonderfully made wonderful are your works and my soul knows it very well my frame was not hidden from you when i was being made in secret intricately woven in the depths of the earth you were watching it he's saying you were there seeing me as cell split into the cell and organs began to form and a heartbeat began in the womb he was there watching your eyes saw my unformed substance in your book were written every one of them the days that were formed for me when as yet there was none of them how precious are you thoughts oh god how vast is the sum of them if i could count them they're more than the sound the sand i awake and i'm still with you there is no such thing as a godless place he's there you go to the deepest darkest pit of hell he's there he's there you you go to the farthest expenses of space he's already there there is no place that he is not he is period i am he is that there's no place that he isn't now this it's very practical yogi berra said wherever you go there you are very true but also wherever you go there he is wherever you go there he is he he's already there i will never leave you i will never forsake you how could he he's already there there's no place he's not there's no place he's not now that was talking about a little bit more than his presence he was talking about his attention but here's the thing there's no place where his attention is not it's not like he has limited attention well he can only look at what's going on well this person is really important i've got to watch them oh well you know they're there's small destiny i can forget about them for a second there's no such thing he's there now all of these are tying together and this because there's no limit to his ability there's no limit to his understanding his knowledge and there's no limit to his presence he is all places wherever you are you you can turn your attention to him and he is right there with you in every place you cannot escape from his presence and nothing can push him away nothing can push him away he will always be there this this is so important for us to get because we feel alone feelings lie feelings lie doesn't mean we ignore them they are a barometer they're telling us something and sometimes what they're telling us is the lies that we believe and sometimes they're telling us the truth of our experience which means he has to get involved in our feelings so we're not ignoring our feelings when we say that we're just not putting our trust in them our trust is in him our trust is in him he's there when you're sick and suffering and you feel alone he's there when you're going through circumstances that you can't imagine why they would happen the deepest trauma of human experience he's there he's there and when we recognize that he's there it begins to change our understanding of the things that we experienced he never leaves he's always there now there is nothing else that is everywhere which means the devil is not everywhere he's limited to one place and we know at one particular time he had his throne in one of the cities where church was in revelation that was his place that he was sticking in for that period of human history possibly he moves it most likely i mean he is smart enough to to do that but he's only one place the id the chance that you're going to actually run into the devil is pretty small the devil has bigger things to deal with he's limited in his capacity he's limited in his knowledge and he's limited in his um his presence so he has to actually make sure that he's spending his time with the most important things doing the most important things he's dealing with kings he's dealing with powers he's dealing with economies he's dealing with larger things than us but god is all places we should have more trust in god's presence than the enemy's presence we should have more trust in god's power than the enemy's power we should have more trust in god's knowledge than the enemy's knowledge i mean the enemy has limited knowledge not only has he limited knowledge but god can actually cause it to be twisted so that he believes what he wants to believe he thought he won when he killed jesus if he had known what was going on he would have never done it the bible says so god can foil him at every place the devil is on a leash god is not he's all-powerful he is all-knowing he is everywhere and he is immutable it just means he doesn't change he never is different than what he always has been he i am what i will be i was i am i will be james 1 17 says every good and perfect gift is from above coming down from the father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change he does not change he does not become better he does not learn anything he doesn't become more powerful he doesn't become less powerful he doesn't move from one place to another place he's already in all places now he chooses to manifest himself in different places so saying lord come we're meaning is lord reveal the presence that's here let us experience it cause it to affect this physical realm that's still an appropriate prayer but he does not change in any way he's not going to wake up tomorrow and decide that his plan wasn't good enough and he's going to send us all to hell he is not going to change his mind he's already made an eternal decree he knew you from before the foundations of the earth he's not going to change his mind the plan that he has to bring all things into fruition so that they all are laid under his son and his son fills all things and is in all things and then turns it all back to the father is eternal and it will not change his plan is sure he can be trusted because he does not change when he says something he's not going to change his mind he can be trusted he's trustworthy because he does not change you don't have to worry about him having mood swings he doesn't change so that this is it's not just information that's good to know this is very practical it's needed for our lives if we don't know the god that we serve we end up being tossed to and fro by every wind and wave of doctrine every circumstances that comes up we need to keep the main thing the main thing god is true all men can be proved a liar god is true his word is trustworthy he is faithful jesus christ is the same yesterday today and for ever and forever he's not going to change his mind about his plan for your life you can trust him and finally he is eternal he is no beginning he has no end we don't we we cannot perceive our our minds do not have capacity we we we try to draw pictures in our minds but we we literally do not have the capacity i mean to understand any of this but this is the hardest we are stuck in time the idea of something outside of time makes no sense to us because everything i mean we talk about time and timelessness with time words right god is in every time at once at once that's time but we can't even think about it outside of thinking about time we have no capacity he is outside of time all of time is like uh like a line he's standing outside he sees all of it he's not in it experiencing it as it happens he isn't experiencing it but not as it happens he's in every moment at all time he's creating and he's ending when he went to the cross he pulled everything from all of time past and future into that moment and brought it into the eternal before anything was and he was slain before the foundations of the earth so that everything could be redeemed in that one moment because he's outside of time everybody before was looking forward to what was because it had already happened and everyone after is looking back to what happened because it's always true he was a lamb slain before the foundations of the earth before he created a single thing he'd already accomplished it all it already was he didn't change he didn't become a redeemer he was always a redeemer he didn't become savior he was always savior he never changed and when he looks at history when he looks at the future he's not limited by what we see he's not limited we're looking at history it's like we're standing on like on the globe i mean we look we can only see so far because it just slopes and maybe we have capacity to figure out a little bit of what's in front of us because we can recognize the trajectory that we're on he sees it all he sees all the hidden stuff all the unknown stuff all the known stuff and he knows exactly where to touch different things with his power and everything is going to turn out exactly the way that he intended he is not subject to time he's not subject to circumstances this moment that we are in that is throwing the world into tumult is a little hiccup in eternity our whole lives compared to the eternity that we're going to experience are going to be like a breath we're going to look back at this 70 80 years maybe 100 if by strength ten thousand years from now and it'll be such a minut small thing compared to the eternal weight of glory we were singing that early this momentary light affliction compared to the eternal weight of glory because it's never going to end and this this is a moment you can go through anything for a moment like this life in the fret in the flesh is but a breath you can make it through anything you can be faithful for a breath you're gonna have eternity to reap the rewards of the faithfulness of this breath that you are in right now he's already outside of it he's already looking at it he sees your grandkids and their grandkids and their grandkids and he's with them and he sees your grandparents and their grandparents and their grandparents and he's with them and the moment that you're experiencing right now is because he's been involved all the way here and it's preparing for what's coming you can trust him i believe in god and when i say god this is what i mean this god that has no limit to his power has no limit to his understanding to his knowledge has no limit to where he is he never changes and he is already in all time knowing all time this is god and this god has called a people to himself has called a people to be his friends to step out what he he breathed into a moment and we began but from that moment we never end and he wants that never end to always be with him and so he sent his son to die because we had stepped off the path that would allow us to be with him there was no way back except for him dying for you and for me we were not found good and there was something worth saving we were found bad and he chose to do it anyways we were all together we were not as evil as we could be but there was no part of us that was not affected by sin and he chose to save us because he wants a people with himself and this god will accomplish that salvation he will fulfill it what he began he will end what he started with the advent of his son coming in breaking into history and the incarnation he will fulfill his son will break through the sky rip up rip it open and come through and he will make all things right and we can trust that he's able to make it all right we're going to look back one day and we will see what he saw and we will do nothing but worship we will not have a thought you should have done it differently we will worship i believe in god that's what this means psalm 90 verse 2 before the mountains were brought forth or ever you had formed the earth and the world from everlasting to everlasting you are god um i thought it would be appropriate talking about god just to end with worship so we're just going to hold that in your heart that revelation of who he is let's turn that back to worship because this is the god he's not far and we're not alone he is right here right now to receive our worship let's worship him you've come to join the song song before our around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped god saying amen blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our god forever and ever amen one of the elders addressed me saying who are these clothed in white robes and from where have they come i said to him sir you know he said to me these are the ones coming out of the great tribulation they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the lamb this is you people of god this is you therefore they are before the throne of god and serve him day and night in his temple and he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence they shall hunger no more neither thirst anymore the sun shall not strike them nor any scorching heat for the lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd and he will guide them to springs of living water and god will wipe away every tear from their eyes father we thank you that salvation is sure you have said it you will do it and you have called us to be those around your throne crying out eternally highest praises highest praises to the lord our god highest praises you are worthy may our lives cry you are worthy may every breath cry you are worthy anchor us oh god in the reality of who you are we want to know you you are so beautiful but watch over and keep your people use us to be witnesses to who you are to all those that we meet we are so grateful in jesus name amen guys you
