these cold closes yeah that's it um Katana versus Chainsaw versus one dude you know to start since we are watching this one week late um like there was like two moments in the episode where I was like just get back into the Rhythm because you know it's holidays we've been gone and multiple events have happened so it's you know there's a bit of a you gotta like re-emerge back into the show otherwise you detach I would say other than that it's like a it was a solid conclusion I I just wish it didn't end so early I think it didn't feel like a finale to me yeah I think some previous episodes were more could have been a finale I'd agree I'd say it feels like the halfway point of the Season yeah like that's probably what they're doing and that I don't I haven't heard any announcements like if it's season two we're tuning in for next or if it's season one part two like uh like how some shows take that Christmas break yeah yeah most anime does that but like because surprise my hero isn't doing it sorry no no you're fine I was just saying I haven't seen any because I looked at articles like two weeks ago to see like what we're gonna be doing just for the channel and I didn't see anything there wasn't like any announcements yet so I wonder if there's updates fill us in if you guys have seen it but yeah I'd say feels more like a halfway point rather than the complete first season yeah yeah I mean it makes sense because like this part of the story is over it makes sense where it ended off but I almost feel like it would have been more interesting to edit off where like Ximena died yeah yeah just to like leave you like damn dropped let's see how to get our get back with these dudes that's the episode that I was gonna say was feels like a finale yeah it is crazy but I don't know considering how quickly they were dealt with I mean I mean even their fight Katana chainsaw man that was done yeah it was pretty quick it was very quick very fast and I think it was like almost a trip too because we met the new Squad and they didn't really do a whole lot of our characters yeah so I think I might have expected that a little bit to play out more um whereas we really just got dead giannaki this episode yeah it's a little bit of power but most of those two yeah and how we didn't get um boss lady at all this episode except for the out Charlotte yeah that was it which one's boss lady mode I couldn't think of her name um I'll say the things that at least helped with the episode is kind of resolving the Aki denji arcs of their characters in the most minimal sense is Aki just coming to some terms without being such a an emo boy in his attitude going forward and then denji kind of having his hero moment beating his first mini boss I guess like the mini boss of the show for now yeah we just want to turn ourselves in if you apologize eat [ __ ] and we can kill you and we get to kill you we'll kill you what it doesn't make sense how's that negotiating yeah it's not it's not no it's not um and it's interesting too to see kind of like where like dengie's headspace is like even the katana guy was like man I'm not gonna lie like because I knew a lot of those zombie people like I even feel bad when I had to cut some of them up and kill them but like you you clearly have no human heart anymore like you just do not give a [ __ ] but they're zombies There's No coming back yeah yeah I guess I get it I get it I get where it's coming from I mean at least In fairness too denji has shown before that he really doesn't care like that dude that was in the car remember when he was fighting the bat yeah like the guy was in the car he's like I don't care if you get hurt the dude it was like he almost killed me yes so like Benji has no real regard I'll caution to the wind yeah all cars for the wind has no regard for human life no no I just want he just wants boobs and Maki that's it I don't know if I believe the whole like the devil took your heart that when he was like even I lost my heart but for some reason I feel like I have emotions toward the zombies and you don't I don't know if I believe it or if like that's just what people say and that denji is just super dense to understand his feelings it's really hard to know because they've really only talked about it from one side saying that they don't have any deeper connection with anyone else again this is where I would say it's probably because denji was just in a shed his whole life that's why man yeah yeah it's probably more than that than like actually pachita doing anything he's never really bonded with anybody although except pochita although that whole thing at the end with the door I have no idea what that's supposed to be yeah first of all I forgot about that opener so yeah they kind of left this on the Cliffhanger well you said it's in the intro all the time will the doors and the introversial time yeah it just like flashes that hole they're that Alleyway with the door um very briefly I think it's like right before the the hip thrusting who's the future who's the lady who's this person just put cheetah's voice sounds oh but then you're talking about the girl after that yeah yeah like the voice changed I don't know who that was maybe it maybe we're gonna dive into pochita's past maybe maybe that's like his Secrets I thought potita sounded like lighter to voice like um Anya yes like something like really Kitty well it did in the beginning when he was first talking and I was like did she denji don't open the door Genji and then when he when it turned the alleyway and went out to the street like would you rather be or like a different one country mouse or cat mouse or whatever it was it seemed like a different person yeah I'm even saying just the door voice sounded different than how I at least remembered episode one yeah it's hard to we got like yeah like 30s like 15 seconds of potato voice yeah one sentence two sentences yeah um but denji says he has that dream every single night but he never remembers it and it's always the situation of him trying to get and I'm guessing it's always the situation of him trying to open the door and figure out what's inside yeah wow but even him as a kid so he wasn't even attached to poachita yet like pachito wasn't inside him I'm just thinking spitballing that it's like Vegeta has a door shut that denji's trying to see through do you think it's a dingy memory or a cheetah memory a cheetah but I mean stop him from seeing one of his own I feel like because it's dengie's member because of denji's viewing it it's like I feel like I would make sense of those pachita's memory if it was it's Genji as an adult but if it's dingy as a kid I feel like he's like really looking at something of his own yeah and the cheese or something like um What's the phrase like something from his past that's like repressed yeah it's a repressed memory do you think he's representative or do you think the cheetah is refreshing man yeah well I mean concerned but she was like don't [ __ ] open I guess sometimes you unintentionally suppress it well I guess but she didn't repress it now so it could be a mix of both of their hearts not wanting to open whatever it is yeah that's so weird also why do we get so many like many endings like what was the whole I don't really understand the whole easy revenge like I understand like taking revenge is easier than not taking it but what was what did that have to do with the cigarette like a cigarette I don't really remember where did that Conversation Piece come from like why did she write that on that yeah something she kept us I don't remember her saying it ever in conversation yeah she all she said was when she was at dinner with him like oh you're underage you can't smoke it when you're old enough and you want to gain an addiction addiction I'll give you this and she died but for whatever reason the the ghost devil gave it to him in that moment that's why I'm like did she write that Pro like what did she know she was gonna die yeah but like well no she no she was saying that she would give that when he's older so like there was no expectation of her dying so then what's the Revenge there well getting older no this whole thing was his his whole revenge for her no no his whole thing in life is he wants revenge on the gun oh yeah yeah that's like his whole purpose so that's what I'm saying did she like write that on the cigarette and kept it back from like three years ago you know and however long he's been a part of it did three years ago or two years ago however long it's been did she write it down back then and just keep it or in like this weird afterlife thing did she do it yeah that the ghost devil had a ghost know to do that at that exact moment yeah well also why like because we miss out where the episode ended last Aki was getting choked out yes he was now it stopped choking him because for whatever reason the ghost stuff will only reacts on fear because it doesn't have eyes so like it can only tell where you are if you're afraid so perhaps he was scared was getting choked out and then his final moment thought of her and lost his fear because his mind was tunnel visioned on her and it just dropped because it can't kill something that doesn't have fear in it but then why did it give the cigarette that's the only thing that I'm like why did that that that's what I was asking like I genuinely I'm I'm kind of lost on that the whole easy and if it's revenge against the gun devil we haven't beat the gun devil so why smoke it but they didn't say easy Revenge Adam what I don't think he ever smoked in front of her though it's like a fortune cookie after you eat it you now have to honor whatever it says on it that's true every time I ever had a fortune cookie I won't read it until I eat it like true that you're supposed to eat the cookie yeah just read the fortune my family doesn't do it yeah and you know what you get bad luck if you don't if you do it Opposite look I don't know if the fortune ever happened running off superstition um but yeah I mean I don't know I think it's more of like a symbolism thing of like yeah kind of like putting ximena's wish to rest okay easy Revenge I don't know what that means are you saying revenge is easy are you saying like easy on the Revenge where's the oh yeah where's the punctuation in here take it easy then get the revenge so I don't know I still definitely am rooting for himeno to return I don't want yeah me too just based on that outro alone I really want her to be back I liked her a lot so did he just kill the ghost devil yeah is it like dead dead well that's the thing they've never really explained like when you kill these things or they've gone forever that's what I want to know like is the is the future which one was it they won the hotel the infinity devil is that really dead because people are still gonna fear Infinity like that should still oh yeah should just re-manifest yeah I mean who knows maybe it's something where it's like it dies then after a while can manifesting but then what's the point of even doing this just to tame it can we ever finish it forever like how long do we have to fight these maybe that's why they were locking them up yeah but like were they oh well I don't know they let them go that's why I met about the future devil they let the future devil just hop inside I don't know about that did they let him go because they said two people have already made contracts with the with the future devil and he's he was still in there well yeah that's and I brought that up the other episode like is he living in the eyeball like is he is his whole being in the eyeball or is it just like part of his like experience or his Essence is in the eyeball because we did see a shot where he was inside his eye I'm I'm liking I'm liking being at this level with the show this relationships yeah yeah I like the theory portions where we don't know everything I will say I that's another part of the upset I'm not I'm not I'm really satisfied with the show but were we having to end on this part I really wanted 24 episodes of this yeah so I am just 100 um yeah 100 dissatisfied that we're not getting we're not getting greater content to satisfy you basically I'm impatient is what I'm saying and screw you writers if I'm wrong about it not coming out nah malpo here give your employees a break yeah go finish the rumbling finish the rumbling so we can get this one I want to finish that show anyway yeah uh we didn't get any more time really with the B Team Shark Boy I was disappointed that wanted to see him again yeah I wanted to see all of them yeah but we saw knife girl she came in clutch yeah what is her name is she might be my favorite character really yeah she's cool that makes sense I've been hearing you like really hype up every time she's like looking insane dude I mean it was wild like the fact that he was like don't kill her and then it's just like panned down a little bit the night I thought he's talking about the snake yeah I was like did he control the snake and then I was like how cool would that have been though also the snake killed her so this that was the arms they're like the arms are the teeth of the snake I think like it like forms arms yeah Oh I thought it was just its head opening up and then well I saw there was arms and I'm pretty sure that's how a snake operates because when we see the snake it like the teeth like unravel into I don't know I don't know how to explain this crazy [ __ ] well either way it was part of it was like a Machina said it was part of like the contract you know you get caught you die yeah see ya Edward elric's sister that was short-lived yeah also sword guy might never see him again never have children probably unless he can regrow it yeah yeah his children I mean he regret himself back together in one piece that's true uh so he's immortal I like he's got the same he's got the same situations yeah I really like the shot where they run outside the building and they're just in the middle of the sky and then we got the commercial cut yeah that was so weird wait what'd you say it that's an anime thing but are they okay In fairness that was like it I will say that was an anime thing like yeah we haven't seen it that hard in like a streaming service and not in like the past like at least for me that yeah it's like 10 years that was a hard like hey commercial yeah would there really be like gay like what is this playing on that they would need to write well a place on TV in Japan like two yeah they air like they air all their anime like Attack on Titan all that stuff look at everything damn we gotta stream it here yeah yeah man let's go to Japan I want to pay for it well we have Toonami one Adult Swim but that's at like one in the morning probably oh that's cool maybe I don't know I don't know they would know better they own the rights I don't have cable television what am I saying which is like jailbreak our Xboxes to get Japanese television yeah so that was funny that was that was that threw me off uh you know something about the fighting I do like in the show how fluid it looks you know what I'm talking about there's like shots where it you're right the video game yeah I don't know how better to describe it but we saw that during the first fight where jimeneo died when deji fought Katana and it's very nice I like it a lot yeah I I really this is just the part of me that really hates myself where I wish I knew how to describe animation better because it is very interesting to me uh the more I that you guys get me into anime um but my knowledge is so limited I just I would really like to see behind the scenes I feel like I get ripped off I want to buy some of the Blu-rays for the shows we watch yeah because I'd really be curious like how the full metal team how Vinland Attack on Titan jjk all these shows come together because I've only ever seen like when you get a a piece of paper and write the same image over and over again and then stop motion it but like I don't even know if that's how they do it yeah like I don't know if that's like a thing that people do or if all of it's graphic and like digitally done and yeah I'm just curious the show has a lot of funky animation so this show in particular I'd be very interested in seeing I'd be curious if they took like a panel from the manga and we're just like all right draw what happens next yeah and the CG's getting better Mafia you're doing better you're doing better aot was rough you're doing better with this I I don't mind too much the train sequence when you can very obviously tell that denji and Katana are CG characters um I think it helps that their necks are very textured there's like carbon looking wires in there now yeah especially you really see it on Samurai man he looks good I think he looks good I don't think it's too bad it's his eyes it's the slits where his eyes are I think it's just hard because a lot of the the Titans which we compared against are all like beige naked looking creatures but I think now's that time we can just if if this is really the season one finale which I assume it is I meant to say too when you guys were talking earlier I'm like 90 sure that this this is season one okay well all right you know a little bummer overall overall this is I liked this show quite a lot it was good I'm very happy to come back for season two I'm very hyped for it huge disappointment that I have to wait because this was on my favorites list um I got excited tuning in every week and I'm sure as you can tell we we joke around a lot watching this show because it's a very light fun dark it's light and dark show for us to watch at the same time yeah um it's great it's humorous it's something yeah I just I haven't had any bad experience with it so far I love the music I like the characters they're super funny yeah and I keep saying it I mean I laugh at the show more than any of the shows that we've watched so far yeah the show's actually funny it is funny you like the you like the power couple the power couple no pun intended yeah Power and denji I mean even as like like I don't care if they end up like screwing the future but even as just sister and brother in a relationship like the siblings Bond of idiocy oh no step bro I'm stuck in the chainsaw just out yeah more power she's stuck in her piles of [ __ ] she leaves in the toilet yeah well that's who she is yeah and I've even developed like a little bit of a different appreciation because I have some friends that only like will only watch anime and dub and they're like they'll send me clips of like this show yeah in dub afterwards and like Powers hilarious because you know like when she's it's sometimes at least for me I'll speak I'll speak for myself about this it's hard to like read and like to me I can like I'm listening to how they're talking and then just reading interpret interpreting what they're saying I don't necessarily when she's like behold I am the mighty power I don't imagine her saying it like that yeah because we don't hear it in English you know what I mean but when somebody sent me the click because that's literally like how she that's how she talks yeah most of the time she'll be like behold denji and what I am capable of because I am mighty like she'll do something and I'm like oh that's that's actually yeah that's funny and will will told me that Caleb showed us a clip of one and yeah and you guys yeah you guys had told me that like the other week or so and this was the first episode that I paid attention to that and I saw all the dialogue and this is the first time I was like she is talking like that yeah and so you do lose that in the subs the subtitles and the Japanese because you can read along and you can hear how they say sentences but it still might not be how like English speakers would say those sentences or at least how we would understand that how we would perceive them to be like said out loud and I just can't believe I missed that the entire time because it said it is there in the subtitles but I literally didn't know about it until will I brought it up and then I saw it In the Flesh today watching the reaction like I'd be curious I don't know when the dub for this episode will come out like if it came out this week or if it comes out next week I'd be curious as to how that scene sounded when she came out the elevator and I was like no I see the thy Mighty foe come at me yeah like said I didn't pick up on that at all like I love the characters that are thinking they're in some completely different reality from life yeah so yeah a Japanese cast I do like the jab I like denji's voice a lot obviously uh Hanami or not me slash Scarface uh did you get it right yeah economy flowers is not scarred scar what's his name in this keshi or something cashew cashew we can call him cashew I don't remember half Chelsea Grin sick to form a torture and yeah check out the soundtrack I've already listened to it I've I've been playing the I don't know the name of the song but I've been playing it on YouTube the song that I like no I haven't heard it on this episode listen to our outro and you know what I'm talking about oh that beat I thought we made like actual soundtrack I have the soundtrack version of that outro done by Samuel oh yeah somebody called that that sound of that song that I like that plays at the beginning they said it's called melancholy I've never heard of that genre before and I've tried looking up on Apple music and apple music was like I don't know what that is I think they mean Melancholy music like sad music just means like yeah like like oh like it's it's like depressing to me it's like that's Lo-Fi like yeah I have to have the chick with the headphones and the cat and the window that's why I said atmosphere it's more of like an Ambiance you type in like urban city Ambience I wanna you might get those I want to drive at a car look out the sunroof listening to that yeah well it's Mirror's Edge check out The Mirror's Edge soundtrack it's literally literally is like our paying homage to that show video game but I really don't have a lot of other thoughts other than I love this series I'm really digging it yeah yeah I'd give the first season solid a for my my personal self yeah eight out of ten yeah give it eight out of ten yeah I'm leaning that way I think I think too it's got some like really good um like mystery like between like denji's whole situation what really goes on with all these Devils that we don't really understand yet and then just like what does makima's play at the end of the day that is well that to me is like what really reels me in um but the characters are definitely fun in the show I enjoy them it was good enough for me to forgive the one year delay sure okay one thing I forgot I forgot about that because that's why I've got an eight we do need to get a nine before we leave we have to do the top three characters I forgot we have that okay I have to do that to have three characters and favorite episodes okay I already have my favorite episode favorite characters um I'm gonna say uh um [ __ ] what's the name of the knife girl company yeah um damn it's a toss-up I pimento is number one I'll just say denji and then Aki that's so hard because whatever those are mine o Aki and denji in any order as long as jimena's on top the two are interchangeable whatever you can take that out of context yes you can um denji I'm already forgetting the knife girl's name um uh ximeno makimo Aki deal bad [ __ ] on there yeah dude she [ __ ] scares me it scares me so I got on my list I think um I think uh like for our favorite Mo wait did you say are I do a favorite moment I have favorite no it's a favorite episode favorite episode I loved all of that episode I mean I'm doing a moment because I'm not gonna do the same for the episode my favorite moment was like when she's on I don't know why but when she was on the temple like thinking back of that scene when she was at the temple and like it blindfolded everybody was getting to read the names it wasn't nearly as bad but I felt like it gave me the same like level of unease as like um Griffith getting the bail it okay not it's not that sacrificial and you know sketchy it's it's not in the it's like neither of them are comparable like one is clearly like the way scarier or heart-wrenching like oh my god what the [ __ ] going on that's way worse but it had that same like feel like I was like oh God I feel like I'm watching like hereditary or something like what is going on some like witchcraft [ __ ] is happening where people are getting sacrificed and I don't like it um yeah favorite episode I it's got to be that Katana chainsaw man fight yeah the first one yeah like favorite moments there's too many everything that has to do with the boobs I loved honestly no I'll say my favorite moment might have been the vomit that was like that was a good one the vomit leading to you wanna you wanna have sex yes that was that was pretty funny I actually I'll say that that sequence was my favorite I can't believe that's in the show yeah yeah what was your favorite moment what you just said oh you like that one too yeah the vomit leading into sex well bet y'all that's the end of the episode so just like the finale we're gonna throw you a bone and surprise you are we done now oh are we done now yes okay bye guys punch it um yeah I like I like the dub too because that whole scene
