Justice Alito's upside-down American flag sparks controversy

We won. A number of Democratic lawmakers are now calling on Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito to recuse himself from cases related to the January 6th. After a new photo shows an upside down American flag flying outside of his home. The New York Times published the photo. It reports the photo was taken just over a week after the insurrection on the Capitol. During that time, many rioters adopted the upside down flag as a symbol of protest against the inauguration of President Joe Biden. The Supreme Court is set to decide whether former former President Donald Trump can be prosecuted for the events of January 6th. Now, democratic lawmakers note the float flag quote gives the appearance of bias in the case. He is, you know, more than willing to wear his partisan colors on his sleeve or in this case on the flagpole. Justice Alito confirmed the picture is real but says he had nothing to do with it. In a statement, the justice says his wife hung the flag.
