Junkyard LS 5.3 on nitromethane?

so you're probably asking yourself why does this have Zoomies on a junkyard LS well number one oh and number two everybody knows Top Fuel Motors Run Zombies so let me take you up back a little bit and we're gonna go to the shop and build these Zoomies and set this thing up and we're gonna run this thing on nitromethane [Music] [Applause] foreign [Music] foreign I couldn't help myself I had to know what this engine sounded like with Zoomies on pump gas so let's find out okay so now that we got the zombies on this thing uh which you know and just looks awesome to me I love it and I'm hoping for you know big header fire uh I don't know it may just pop the egg yes or try it out I mean who knows I mean that's I guess that's why we're doing this we're gonna find out what happens but anyway so the next thing to do now that we're zoomied is to increase the fuel flow so I've got this set of injectors I had Eric Derr [Music] so you can see numbers each injector and he gives you a flow sheet so I took the numbers in that set and they've got their flow numbers over here so what I did is I took all those numbers you take if you let you know this is about decaf injectors are about three times the flow of a stock injector so that should be pretty close uh that's where I'm gonna start I'm just going to dump it in leave my fuel table alone to try to start it initially but if you were going to use this let's say in a turbo application you would go through here and add all eight flow numbers up which gives you 6.99 divide them by 8 which is the number of injectors and then you have an average flow rate of 79.875 so you can enter that number in HP tuners and it makes tuning much simpler so I'm going to put you guys on time lapse and get these injectors swapped out [Music] thank you well I believe that would fall under the category of questionable choices because my dumbass did not unhook the battery had the battery charger running on it and as I was pulling things lows fuel was running down onto it so I came over here and unplugged everything from the wall there and I've got the door open letting it air out but injectors are all swapped out and you know you look down there you can see let me pull this out of the way you look down in there you guys darn it you can see well you can see the number on anyway all right so injectors are swapped Zoomies are on and all that's left to do is drain the fuel and put the Nitro in it and push the button obviously I'm going to wait till the snow melts and I get the panel moves so I can push it out of the garage and then do it outside I could probably do it over there so that'll probably happen this weekend but uh at any rate y'all what's left of those push the button and find out what happens next so I'll bring you guys back when we get to that point so I've got this whole mess rolled out here in the driveway got the fuel drained you can see 50 natural methane fuel tank just set you guys down right here way to give you a little bit of a walk there so we can see but uh full reel was in this gun because you use this stuff go-kart racing and uh no question about it I'll go this hard wall with the amount I put in here I just want enough yeah that's plenty I just want enough to circulate and if things get out of hand obviously I don't want you know you're burning for a long time we're just gonna hope things don't get out of hand crabs on it good out there for now okay so we've got run switch and starter button which may have just became the engine delete button uh we're gonna find out but I got a fuel filter down here so we're gonna kick her on see if it'll circulate the good stuff sounds like we got fuel pressure baby that's a little on sketchy side so let me uh get you guys set up over here and I'm probably gonna stand back and hit this button with a broom handle or something okay so I got my uh safety stick all right it is done [Music] [Music] foreign I'm not getting any fuel out of the pipes uh let me alter the tune a little bit and I'll bring you guys right back okay so I gave it 30 more fuel across the board [Music] of the fans wrap it up for the rooms let's see what happens this time [Music] foreign look at this oh that's fine okay cool you see him wire back in [Music] [Music] that is so cool so anyway that's what answered the question uh what happens if you put a 5.3 on Nitro it uh it gets freaking Rowdy so uh I think I'm kind of obligated to put this in something to do burnouts now [Music] okay so that was very cool um pretty excited about it it worked out so now I just need to see if I can find something I can put this in where these uh Zoomies will clear like steering shaft and stuff because how cool would it be to put that thing in something on Nitro and just whale on it I mean you know junkyard motor ain't nobody you know just send it but uh getting really close to 500 subscribers if we're not there by the time this video comes out super excited about
