Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2: All Fights Ranked

[Music] I'm alive I'm alive free yourself you got to be kidding happy New Year everybody I hope your 2023 was a great year because I surely know that Yugi at toor's wasn't Jiu-Jitsu Ka in season 2 has released its final episode recently and it was honestly one of the best anime Seasons I've watched in a very long time this season in my opinion turned out exceptional despite the horrendous working conditions that are happening over at mappa Studios and it doesn't seem like anything is changing anytime soon over there because they just announced three new projects all right everybody I know you just finished the season of jjk but time to get back to work anyways yeah jjk season 2 the animation the music the story the voice acting everything it was just top tier and I couldn't be more happy with the results even though I read the Manga ahead of time the episodes that adapted these chapters went above and beyond on and the animation team just freaking killed it I really think the art style for season 2 was better than season 1 just cuz it allowed for more expression and flow but even then they had some incredibly detailed character moments that felt movie likee shout out to all the animators directors musicians producers and everyone who had a hand in this project the entire team poured their heart and soul into this passion project and I really do hope they all get a deserved break okay so shabuya this Arc was already insane in the manga but the anime elevated these chapters to unimaginable Heights there were a lot of extra scenes added to the anime that were not in the manga and they turned some of these insane looking action panels into some of the most fluid fighting I have ever witnessed I'm just going to say it jiujitsu kaisen is the best action anime out there right now but that's just my opinion or whatever there was a fight for almost every episode this season and I figured I'd be semi unoriginal and do a ranking for each fight while using that to gush over the animation for each fight there were so many different fights going on that some would go directly into the next episode or there would be two fights within one episode knowing how many fights there are it's still crazy to think about how all these episodes got done within less than a year I say the word fight a lot in this video I'm Sorry by the way in advance all of these different artists and animators and directors really are Masters at their craft and I really can't thank them enough for all the work they put into this season all right let's rank these showdowns I'm ranking this one at the bottom not cuz it's bad but only because it's a fight that happens off screen it has two pretty good moments though like ghetto jumping out of the high story window or like when Gojo stopped the knives like it was joto versus Dio I thought that part was really cool also the best part ghetto and Gojo's dumb little walk seriously this part was like perfect you a [ __ ] you know why you a [ __ ] cuz I said so so the grasshopper curse versus Yugi is my least favorite fight of the bunch but even in the manga this fight was pretty short so I wasn't really expecting a lot to begin with it's mainly just Yuji and this big bug throwing a bunch of punches back and forth and the ghosting and the dimming wi it first released didn't really help out this fight at all the Blu-ray does fix this problem though and it's completely gone here it looks pretty good but it's still a pretty short fight and it doesn't leave a big impression youi looks cool as [ __ ] though I am Chris Hansen with dline NBC this fight in particular was more slow and tactical but the presentation was great and I'm glad it didn't cut between the choso fight like how it did in the manga she's still an awful character though go [ __ ] yourself mayay but before I go I just want to get this off my chest that [ __ ] was not my fault y'all are trash and I mean this from the bottom of my heart y'all are trash like y'all are so trash I want you to know that I'm talking to you this isn't too much of a fight and more of a show just how ride mechar was with how the students of Kyoto wouldn't be reliable in shabuya I'm sorry miwa but your simple domain was no match against the dude who literally has been around for hundreds of years it's still cool though because you know Uzumaki still though that's a strong attack why' you use an amwa of all [Music] people this fight was all right it mainly involved haruto running away and catching Nita and nobara off guard but nanami came in and beat that little [ __ ] into a [Music] building so while it's more of a Beatdown it's a good fight in my book also this noar animation was completely uncalled for you did a good job animating that but seriously why did you have to animate that this ain't the first or last Beatdown so be prepared for more remember this is jiujitsu Kaizen this anime has quite possibly some of the most disrespectful fights I've ever seen by the way this was one of the First episodes that had animators tweeting about production issues before release eventually we will get to the big episodes that had some of the animators stressing the [ __ ] out this is less of a fight and more of a final release for nanami's character he was all out of energy and on the brink of death but put in all of his might to defend shabuya while daydreaming of a nice Beach vacation then maito turned him into a Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story too rest in peace nanami I hope you're enjoying your Beach vacation and the great beyond Eno was set up so badly man I won't spoil his position in the manga right now but he got set up to fail here in shabuya the fist fight Eno had with the grand son is already incredibly fluid and the hand toand combat is literally top quality but the fight can't go any higher because once toi is fully manifested in the grandson's body our poor boy Eno gets the one-handed JoJo beat down treatment sorry buddy G just set you up for [Music] failure this fight between these four was good but unfortunately it was another one of the main episodes that suffered production problems but even with them this fight had some incredible moments I still can't believe we had the zenan clan leader yapping about animation and interpolation while dagin was mad about the existence of humans also we got this one for one toi shot nice job guys get over here while this fight mainly just involves Gojo explaining his curse technique it is very stylish and it is a really good fight with some incredible music he did mess up his red technique though sucks to sucker bro oh call an ambulance call an ambulance but not for me this is in the same Epis episode and it happens before Gojo gets Rico but gto's little fight with the old man was quick and hilarious I just had to put it above it just because of this one moment right here also we got ghetto beating the elderly so that's another pointu mechamaru versus maito this wowed me it's unfortunate bro bit the dust early on into the ark but he put up such a fantastic fight and each scene with the giant mechamaru was Mesmerizing the episode was just the perfect homage to those Mech animes like Gan Langan and an Evangelion rest in peace mechamaru you really did your thing back there [Music] SPID meami and Yuji versus Jiro is a pretty underrated fight in my opinion I know it's not one of the biggest or the flashiest but it had some really great moments of fluidity and motion in its action also Yuji holding up bunny come on that's really cute no please have mercy toji versus Dagen was just such an impressive fight and it really did show just how over power toi really is he was straight up walking and running on water and it was so goddamn fast that even meami couldn't even comprehend how fast it took him to get kicked out of a window sorry dagin but you got played a bad hand right there man [ __ ] them kids bro round one of Gojo versus toi was the earliest highlight of the show it didn't last long but man what a treat it was to see Gojo uses renga and toi slicing up Gojo he sliced them up so much that he basically had an Awakening man that dog high as [ __ ] and look at that one episode later and we already got round two of Gojo versus toi and look at our boy he's still alive and kicking just shows that nothing bad will ever happen to Gojo ever again anyways this fight isn't very long and of course it's not because hey you got two of the strongest fighters in the game facing each other off it's usually not going to last very long but I mainly put this fight here because of Gojo's freak out his hollow purple and of course the fact that he believes he is just that guy honored one and all that [ __ ] filthy monkey filthy monkey filthy monkeyy monkeyy monkey monkeyy listen I know ghetto lost so hard in this battle so hard in fact that it made him racist filthy monkey but this fight is just oozing with style and passion ghetto was putting his chikami to work but he could not keep up with a fighter like toi he got beat up so badly that toi gave him the Luffy Scar and punted the [ __ ] out of his head while he was on the ground I find it so funny how toi basically called himself a monkey only one time but ghetto never dropped it and now calls every human a monkey filthy monkey monkey SM there are lots of monkeys there are money collecting monkeys and curse collecting monkeys they're nothing but monkeys but I don't have time to chat with monkeys seriously dude he just said it one time you got to drop it stop loud noises round two of Yuji versus myo right after Nom's death was just beyond adrenaline pumping you the viewer along with Yuji are fired up since the best character just died and now you just want to kill this little prick I love the risk factor for Yuji at this point and knowing that he could die at any moment he needs to step his game up if he's going to take down this beast nobara and Yuji versus Mito was a really great moment but it was hard to focus on how good this Beatdown of Mito is due to the fact that right after he also does this fatality but still even with all that nobara did put up a pretty good fight against Mito and looked pretty badass while doing it even if noara got turned into a pirate talking to me all right choso versus pseudo ghetto I'm not going to say the character's name due to avoid spoilers for anime only but after finding out that poor Yuji is his half brother he goes in the full panic mode and attacks the brain curse who is also Choo's father another fight that was extended that adds some incredible use of Choo's blood manipulation and the brain's use of ghetto curse technique pretty cool short fight before the end of the season and an interesting way to run into your father speaking of families reuniting toi versus megumi now I can't think of a better way to reunite a father with his son by bringing the soul of the father back and putting him into another dude's body toi's body then takes over and then goes on a rampage that eventually leads him back to his son where he then delivers his long awaited fatherly beat down later on in the fight he then recognizes meam as's son and to avoid hurting him anymore he straight up just stabs himself in the head and dies on the concrete floor seriously what the [ __ ] is happening to chabuya just a little side note for anime only there was no panel in the manga of toi Pokey at pieces of broken in concrete and shooting them with enough velocity to rival a bullet to shoot through megumi's rabbits we got to give credit to the rabbits though they did their part even though they're pretty weak ah whatever they did their best anyway see you toi all right now we're at the top five I have an equal love for all these battles but these five here set a new peak in animation so let's go through them I'm a [ __ ] psycho that's why that's why I'm good at what I do Gojo versus the disaster curses to this day is filled with so many beautiful frames of Animation I could basically feel my own hands cramping up just from seeing joo's mouth actually lips sync to his own words what I like about this fight is that Gojo is basically Teeter tottering on having fun and while having this be a job at the same time his main duty is to keep the civilians of shabuya safe and to kill off all curses but he is going to have a little bit of fun while doing it then of course he gets put in a box in the end by a curse who's using his dead boyfriend's body oops anyways bye Gojo we'll see you in about four to 5 years Two Brothers Two Brothers Two Brothers chos versus Yuji now when I say this fight is perfect I do mean that the hand toand combat was incredible and some of the best hand toand combat I have seen in anime in the manga it bounced back between this fight and the mayay fight so the fights were kind of all over the place but this episode takes all of those moments between choso and Yuji and turns them into the entire episode from the very beginning choso sees Yuji and it's fully on site with him no hesitation to kill him up until the very end when the Bloods mix and he realizes they are actually family poor guy he tried to avenge his brothers and then realized he was actually killing one of his brothers sounds like a Greek tragedy crack a tower Joo oh Joo gay wrote you and set you up for failure my friend I am so sorry your only two fights at this point we against Gojo at two separate occasions and you got your ass beat twice in those moments then you go and wake up suca and he then proceeds to do this hey man how about we do a little challenge if you can hit me just once then I'll do what you say and I'll follow your lead I only have to to hit you once just once all right bet I really am having trouble considering this a fight because Joo of course lands no hits whatsoever on this [ __ ] Menace even though he is throwing every single move in his Arsenal at him sukuna is just straight up toying with him and when he gets his hands on Joo he just tosses him around like a rag doll through so many different skyscrapers it was an incredible fight though and the animation was [ __ ] beautiful seeing how much fun suo was having while Joo was giving it his all to fight the king of curses at 80% power while also [ __ ] with the other sorcerers in the area was just incredible to see animated so it may have been a beat down but I thought it was a pretty good fight in the end stand proud Jo goat you are strong even though you got cooked to a crisp Toto and Yuji versus maito was just the treat that we needed for the end of the season even Toto's entance was enough to put this fight so high on the list this fight takes up so much time too it goes into the next episode this was the best fight to end the season on and it puts a lot of focus on Yuji and his negative growth as a Jiu-Jitsu sorcerer both Yuji and Toto get such amazing moments to shine that before yuji's walk towards maito Toto has to have one final Insanity jump before we say goodbye to him don't worry he's not dead he's just basically retired now at this point so what did the animation team add before giving Toto his send off we got this all might moment from the last episode what about this episode hey yo what the [ __ ] yeah this might be just one of the best adaptations of any manga the JJ KT must have really liked Toto of course we get to the end with Yuji and and awaken maito it's a good thing that Yuji won in the end because if maito won it would have been a massacre Beyond proportion or he still would have been sucked up by the brain curse but who knows either way it was really great to see this moment animated and to see mahito cry like a [ __ ] this was also added to the anime which is really funny yeah yeah I know he's practically only 6 months old but the dude still needed to be put down like a rabid dog bye-bye maito you sincerely will never be missed before we get to our number one spot let's go through some of the honorable mentions some moments that I don't consider fights but we still have characters getting [ __ ] up in these scenes so why not add them here no particular order here we go May versus Toto pingpong match poor Toto got distracted by the thought of not being with his friend eori that he lost to a predator at ping pong versus toi or toi's handgun I guess I'll say sua versus gto's adopted daughters oh well kyote versus the Clone was close to being on the actual list but it went by pretty quick so I don't really consider it a fight mayay cutting up that one random in the subway tunnel toi punching a hole through that Granny's face principal yaka punching Gojo maito giving Yuji a black flash like the hater he is and one of my personal favorite honorable highlight moments was toi versus unemployment this was probably the toughest fight in the entire season if I'm being honest you're broke you're [ __ ] poor all right and the best fight for jiujitsu guys in season 2 [Music] is there are debates here and there on which animated fight is one of the best of all time and while there are many different answers and I know big amount of people will probably say the fight between kaido and Luffy saitama versus boros or this one dragon fight from freerun that came out this year this sh look pretty good but for me no fight can overtake the sheer horrifying beauty that is suca versus mahara it's funny because this episode had some of the best animation I have seen this entire year if some of the best animation I've seen of all time but I believe this was the episode that almost broke the entire Jiu-Jitsu Kaizen team I mean when you watch it you see why this episode is Cinema I don't even think the jjk movie looked this good when it came out to coloring and presentation I mean that movie was only animated in 4 months but hey welcome to mafa Studios this episode had some best new Talent as well including people like Vincent chanard who actually also helped with some of the best fights in one piece this year it's unfortunate though because the bad scheduling of jjk season 2 also got to him as well he finished most of his shots for the episode except for this one POV shot of mahara getting kicked by sukuna but even so he was still able to bring his all with these certain sequences especially this one shot of mahaga flying backwards and getting hit by the wing of a plane I mean look at this you can't tell me that this isn't art what what is that it's art it's crazy how in real time this fight only lasted for about 9 minutes from the moment mahara got released it took little to no time to rip apart the entirety of shabuya square the best part about the fight though was the end when haruta tried running away but then suca pulls a little prank on him huh bye-bye you little [ __ ] you will not be missed I love how at one point mahara adapts to sua's curse technique fully to the point that we the viewers can now see the slashes in real time the details that were put into each frame of this fight puts into perspective the passion that the animators have for the source material seriously the animation work on this episode is second to none and my favorite cut was this moment when mahara was just walking through sua's domain this part right here this part is perfect and I love it the episode was just perfect in general I really have no complaints and yes I even did like it when specials played during yuji's breakdown I thought the song did indeed fit all right well that's my ranking of all the fights in season 2 of JuJu Kaizen I really am excited for when season 3 comes out in 2 to 3 years it actually kind of got me a little heated that they announced season 3 just 30 minutes after the final episode of season 2 dropped oh well that is the anime industry for you all right well this is the end of the video now I hope you guys have a fantastic rest of your day
