man i i can't tell you how it's gonna break down yeah yeah i gotta i had to open up actually a tab for that one the top 64 bracket because the people are still fighting for their lives to get into top eight to begin with but yeah there it is pikachu versus donkey kong winner semis we're finally in just the five territory where we've been uh every single week on wednesdays but this week it's a little bit differently the best of five here winners get it okay there we go we're gonna start off with that dash attack and man we okay uh just gonna throw out a down here just to get something going but so far chunky kong off to a decent start here it is only the very beginning of the game so you can't take it uh you know but just a great assault run with it but we'll see what happens oh god oh god all right a lot going on off stage but they're both gonna find their way back to town the town city main platform with no issue that was uh that was a little cra chaotic though absolutely so here we go again oh water what amazing crosstalk to get stage control oh but answering back right there chunky kong to get back on stage get out of here first stop going to chunky kong here all right there we go down to just kind of put chunky off stage trying to go for a down air spike but not gonna be able to get through donkey kong's uh spinning kong move very effective multi-hit look at that man chunky kong has just taken his time you know he's got a really strong lead here and oh boy man 60 already looking good right there so he's gonna shield an amazing stuff right there reacting and that almost kayode on town oh my goodness oh wow dude okay i know i was talking about this i just don't see chunky kong beating uh shiny marks but here we are man both of us eating our own words i've seen someone like play a heavyweight like leon like in bowser big pikachu and just struggle so much but you know donkey kong definitely has a different kit for sure and he's defining it very solidly and it's just like honestly if you know the pikachu matchup you're kind of cozy right yeah um it seems like chunky kong definitely has some experience there i mean certainly working out for him so far all right gonna land with that additional hit oh here we go we got some pikachu combos happening here getting those drag downs those lightning loops all right here we go 16 not too much extra credit wow amazing reaction there from chucky kong pikachu like hurt your shield these multi-hit aerials the forward ears the back hairs but now here we are chucky talk looking for an opportunity dash attack at 80 a little bit greedy now no okay but he's still gonna find a way to get that hit uh certainly wasn't a little bit of trouble there shiny mark trying to get those downhills going okay still going to get something put them off stage i can be able to close off the stock unfortunate oh that's it oh it's not never mind that is though beautiful neutral air a two stock victory in this matchup but um i'm not sure if it's fortunate or unfortunate but uh this is the best of five now so honestly i think chunky kong would have preferred to bust the three at this point but maybe it was just trio you know maybe he doesn't need that maybe he can just win out right because this is very decisive game really good answer in pikachu oh man um really impressive yeah very very good stuff honestly that's a that's a really good way to set the pace and tempo for game one um honestly there's nothing else to really add to that just chunky kong doing chunky kong things absolutely so uh gonna step up for a game two honestly i can see them running it back but uh we never know so let's see how it goes yeah we'll uh we'll see uh but we're gonna go right back to town and sydney again it seems i don't know how i feel about this kick but you know what we'll uh will that shiny mark do their thing see where it goes no it makes a lot of sense to me like the thing is it's like uh losing the first stock and then it just kind of snowballed away from them but i think shiny mark knows they can do it unfortunately missing the spike the box that could have been a brilliant zero to death well i mean right now it looks like shiny bugs a little on top of it right here i mean against just the beginning seconds things could turn around very quickly but definitely off to a much better start [Music] a lot better using these t jolts a little bit more trying to get something going there there we go actually going to explain expose donkey kong a little bit and uh all right wow that's just gonna straight up close it out man the t-jel actually forced donkey kong far enough away but they actually weren't able to recover from now now this is where the pikachu show starts to happen right here the back air into the lightning loops and now the donkey kong is struggling that's why you need to as the uh character in the loot match up get this first stop so looking kind of rough yeah that's uh some big damage there 96 already on the second socket this is what i was expecting to see in this matchup oh wow the shiny mark was looking to put a statement just deleting that second stock with the spike not gonna be able to find it but you know what that's okay is it gonna get it right there no way oh trying very hard i sold 78 to 116 here shiny mark has a really good shot of making this three stocks to one it's exactly why the iran effect i think they was like i did not want to lose my first stock that way and now they're not losing anything right okay enemy chunky kong's trying to find their way back through this game now uh that four there's gonna close out that stock yeah it looks like shiny mark's starting to wake up here figuring out what they did wrong and they're going to make them pay for it oh man this is looking really rough for donkey kong here uh oh but that was going to be at least a little bit alleviate a little bit of the pressure all right there we go some good damage there just trying to get something going 39 percent i mean it's not the most ideal situation but again keep in mind pikachu is very light if donkey kong get a little bit more damage honestly there's a lot of moves that can just decimate this rat's life man just absolutely put them away all right there's a good dash attack trying to get some extra credit wow i'm gonna get punished for that though if they take hard commits those thunder situations uh heavy characters definitely just like you destroy that with like a meaty aerial [Music] wait no i'm not gonna get a punish out of that pikachu has so much amazing multi-hit pressure on these shields like the forward air the battery or the neutral air all these multi hits just do so well for them i'll throw it's the thunders okay wow gonna be able to get that and close it out to stock to be able to close off that game too honestly that's exactly the type of game that i was expecting on a shiny mark i know i've said that a few times now but i just really need to let everybody know that this this is what i was expecting as we were going in uh that game one was definitely a bit of a shell shock and woke up shiny mark for sure yeah that's kind of what you want if you're chunky kong because now you basically like play off of your stage advantage for this going forward in a sense so if shiny mark can actually do the good thing here of winning on the chunky con counter pick and going up 2-1 that's where you want to put yourself to kind of put them in like a a check situation uh towards the end of the set but we'll see one to one we're so far from the end and uh we're gonna go to battlefield game brief yeah uh honestly i think that's a good pick um i mean it allows chunky kong to get some pretty decent combos on the platforms you know uh ding dong becomes a little more lethal but the problem here is like it's one of those situations where when you're playing a matchup like this you kind of have to go to stages that you're going to feel more comfortable right it doesn't matter if your opponent's going to be able to exploit the stage better than you because pikachu is going to do well in any stage they go let's be honest uh oh no way wow okay okay that was scary watch out what do we got here so we'll have to see uh how shineboxing's gonna play around here because they can honestly uh quick attack all over the stage on top of platforms different spots depending on how chunky kong is trying to get some ledge trapping potentially some edge guarding situations uh shiny rock should be stay uh should stay pretty safe that's a little bit here gonna get the juggle situation and now putting donkey kong in a really rough spot might be enough yes yep that's how it should be going man this is how it should be going every single time all right here we go uh here comes the situation though chunky kong is known to do the impossible he did it game one but he's struggling really hard here it hasn't touched shiny mark on the second stock [Music] oh all right some good damage here it just does not stop man chunky kong is in a lot of trouble are they gonna find a way back to stage oh that's is that it wow unfortunate yeah letting go ledge and air dodging that's gonna be certainly death and now donkey kong has a amount of work to do on the counterfeit stage here uh that's exactly why shiny mark did run it back on the game one it's just like it is very uh very much in a good spot like when you're on your game if pikachu you know what you're doing yeah i mean signing bark definitely is usually on their game uh it's starting to see and i think we're all starting to recognize that game one was definitely a bit of a flub no not to take anything away from chunky kong he still took that win from shiny mark but shiny mark recognizing that they're playing the best character in the game with multitude of multi hits and they're definitely making it all worthwhile it's just a nature of just like in a losing matchup can you get the first stock can you snowball the lead in your favor and it's exactly what chunky did to their advantage in game one so it's just like nothing a testament to their skill as well and i mean although we're counting out this game there's still a chance another game so uh chunky can definitely do this okay there's a good little setup right there not gonna be able to get anything else followed up but man chunky kong kind of desperate for a grab here okay not gonna be able to close out the game but donkey kong was certainly a little bit of danger all right ding dong for a little bit of percentage [Music] different opportunity the down smash look at that go yeah look at donkey kong go [Laughter] sayonara man that is a 2-1 advantage here for shiny mark we are in best of five territory so of course chunky kong will have another shot i don't know if they're gonna run it at the battlefield again i don't think the stage is a problem though i think this shiny marker just like turn it all the way to 11 for this spike yeah um yeah dude i i i don't know what chunky kong's got to do here i think i think this might just be bad news uh it's not like chunky kong is playing bad necessarily i think it's just shiny mark recognizing what they're uh allowed to do against a um against a donkey kong and they're certainly just making it happen yep that's uh really good stuff going up two to one they've already selected the stage we're gonna go back to battlefield because it was the chunky con counter pick to begin with here man donkey kong everest pikachu let's get it yep also uh yeah it's gonna be interesting to see if chunky kong's able to turn this around i mean not too long ago we had chunky kong take game one at town and city shiny mark took him back took the w so who knows maybe chunky kong's trying to find the uh the same path for himself but this is uh it's a spot to be dealing with here okay high recovery daddy mark if we went for a more aggressive option gonna allow chunky kong to live whoa oh okay the double slab of that uh tilt into the bat attack and that's a really good percent if you're donkey kong that's a really good way to put yourself in a position where you can get the first stock i mean right now 84 percent pikachu very light as well donkey kong with a plethora of kill options like that right there the slaps uh spike off the stage into the up smash and chunky kong waking up himself absolutely so really good stuff they're gonna get the up here follow up nothing off of that for that doing a full lap now this is exactly where you want to be if you're donkey kong and then if you can bring this to a game five you get the whole gear factor working for you as well well that could have been dangerous for for shining bark got a little lucky there that the giant punch was off target there we go amazing extra credit here will you hit the left trap the regrab is real good tilt really good safety uh safe options here coming out from uh chunky conway they're gonna miss attack but not they get the second one that's good yeah no very good stuff gonna be able to actually kind of keep that stock alive and now all of a sudden wow dude i honestly wasn't expecting shady mark to lose any momentum but chunky kong is out here there's no way he turns this around and takes game five as well right that's a good shot of it actually what i do want to know uh actually is this like well i i want to note is that on that recovery the pikachu extends their hurt box when they use the quick attack so that's a really good awareness to recognize the way pikachu had to recover to get back up oh no the over extension will get punched he's fine we got the the horizontal recovery should be fine after this too okay yeah but i don't know how many no the more rock game four going to chunky solidly what a forward air spike and we're going to game five wow talking about the fear factor man the fear factor of donkey kong dude you know what i totally counted chunky kong out and i don't know why i did because i never usually do holy it's true it seems so uncharacteristic but realistically speaking the way that shiny mark played game two kind of like made us think that like it was going to be one-sided but it is not it is game five now oh man what a kind of city is game five too yeah yeah okay so actually i'm looking at some stats here and uh chunky kong and shiny mark it's actually okay but shiny mark was playing ken that time okay that's what to say he does have a positive record but it was uh he was playing ken although there are two junkie cogs it seems hang on it is what it is we're in game five now that's all right now they're two to two in the official this set count so let's go ahead and get into it game five back to town and city the final match yep and uh so yeah they actually have only played against each other one time chunky kong does have the positive record but shiny mark was playing ken at the time so uh they were definitely probably floating around but you know what stop pulling around man 69 combos where you just got to sit there and deal with it for about 15 to 20 seconds yep yep but uh this is not a given percent it's given about stocks let's see if chunky kong can answer back actually we're doing a really good job of having a good advantage state in game four to the point where they didn't even lose a stock uh let's see if they can repeat history but it's looking really shiny mark favored right now good landing there actually this can't stop that t-jolt and uh not actually be in a position where that shiny mark was gonna be able to get some uh some crazy combos on but here we go man this is a fairly even game the one two gm looking for the back here won't find it absolutely you're gonna land and get the grid cross up right there but down smash yeah ooh yeah just some good stuff there um i mean you did take the first stock but you're not safe yet 75 is a pretty prime spot for donkey kong to get some kills on a pikachu that's not gonna do it right okay he's gonna live just a little bit longer that was very scary actually i i thought i would have been that if ganondorf so like i'm very sorry i think it should survive yeah i mean it's uh you should start seeing that spinning kong and you're just kind of like yeah man i don't think i'm gonna lift this you could be at like zero percent too yeah they definitely buff that during the course of the game and it's like i don't know why it was such a funny buff but yeah there is two stacks of two we got an even game yeah chunky kong making it work man uh honestly not looking too bad right now 37 percent are gonna be 38 is the difference at the moment oh oh god now he's got the lead oh my god he's got the lead yeah i think i i think chunky kong has the lead [Laughter] yeah he does and he's going to continue to power wait i thought we're going to see a falling forward here again to be honest you got the punch yeah okay barely missed too but he wanted he's carefully walking through the opportunity 72 percent and counting uh opportunity here wow what a call out game five last stock pikachu do you have a stock in you i don't know you have 101 percent yeah this is gonna be dangerous to see how this plays out man chucky kong's gonna have to find something he's gotta be very careful only point nine percent on him winners finals is one hit away from happening here any moment now one up air oh no oh no oh no oh no way oh he actually found the way to get oh no it's not done he said i'll see you at the stage oh last hit game five offered pikachu at least she's getting out of there [Laughter] oh jeez was ready for the quick attack i got the punish with the up tilt and i can't believe it man we're seeing chunky kong beating shady mark and wow he's gonna be moving on the winners finals winners finals here at juicebox 41 with donkey kong dude that was absolutely well chunky come playing amazing out of his mind here and for the third day in a row for me personally you get you losers in winter seventies
