I didn't score the fight but had Marquez winning that fight. And that fluid he's drinking in the video is water. It has a piss color looking label but you can clearly see that it's water when he takes a swig.

116-111 Marquez I think. I remember Lampley letting his love for Barrera get in the way of his scoring for that one.

No though he didn't during the fight. Only plain water is allowed in the corner for rinsing and drinking per the rules of every boxing commission. Marquez is not a rules breaker. He is an honorable fighter.

Marquez clearly won I think, (one of the few times I disagree with Harold) but it was a lot closer than the judges and general media made it out to be.

Barrera's knockdown of Marquez was the only time he really did anything to hurt Marquez. His jabs touched up JMM's face, but didn't do much to keep him at bay, or deter him. I had Marquez winning by a decent margin, 115-112, and that's taking into consideration that the penalty should have made it a 9-9 round, because JMM was in total control of that round. Every round was competative, but I thought JMM landed better, cleaner shots, and "made" the fight with his aggression. Amazing performances by both guys though.
