Joseph - Bible Stories for Kids - Little Big Heroes

Long ago Canaan was inhabited by the people of Israel. There... there was a young man called Joseph he and his brother Benjamin were Jacob's youngest sons Joseph was his father's favorite, so he gave him a coat of many colors showing him that he was special, causing his brothers to become jealous of him. One night Joseph had a dream He saw the moon, the Sun and eleven stars bowing down before him. He awoke excited and very happy and quickly rushed to tell his family about his dream. But his brothers were full of jealousy and despised him even more because of the dream and even his father Jacob got angry and said: "What is this dream you had? Will your mother and I and your brothers actually bow down before you?" And, so, everyone ignored Joseph and none of them believed in his dreams. His brothers had always rejected Joseph because he was the favorite and now they rejected him even more because of the dream God had given him. So, they decided to throw him into a well and then later they agreed to sell him as a slave to the Egyptians. As a slave in Egypt, Joseph had to do very hard tasks but the hand of God was always with him and he was promoted wherever he was. While serving an Egyptian he was unfairly sent to jail but that was where he discovered that God had given him the gift of interpreting dreams. And that is what he did for two of his cellmates and then later for Pharaoh That was how he became the second in command of all Egypt and he became known for his great wisdom and power. When a time of drought came upon all Canaan Joseph's family had to travel to Egypt because they had nothing left to eat that was the moment God used to bring Joseph's family back together It wasn't easy for Joseph because his brothers had caused him to suffer a lot but he was able to forgive them and they were so happy to find out that he was alive. Jacob strength was revived and his family was saved because Joseph was faithful to God and always believed in the dream that the Lord had given him
