Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
This conversation is so underviewed. I also prefer meaning peterson over political peterson.
Submission statement:
I think Peterson is at his best when he talks about meaning. And actually I think Vervaeke does even better here than Peterson.
Vervaeke has a whole course on what he calls the "meaning crisis": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54l8_ewcOlY
Someone posted that series of videos here before. And I'm glad to have found that. It's been great, but slow going (it's 50 videos).
I posted this conversation in this sub almost a year ago. Itโs a good example of where Peterson really shines. The culture war commentary was always the least interesting part of what he had to say. And he excelled when paired with people like vervaeke who kept him grounded enough while letting him riff off their ideas.
But our society consumes thinkers like Peterson. I donโt think we got anywhere near what we could out of him - there is still a lot of content out there like this if youโre willing to dig past the DESTROYS highlight clips. I hope more people rediscover him through videos like this over time and realize there was a lot more to what he had to say.
