okay here we have a couple of efi engines that are old ford stuff everything about them is new there's not one piece that came from Ford Motor Company as we know of they're all aftermarket parts but they're exactly like some of the original parts other than they're better metal aluminum stuff like that but they're going in some really nice cars they go in this engine here is 526 inches it goes in a gt40 original style road course car it's continuation of the gt40 that were built back in the 60s and this single overhead cam engine is going in AC Cobra and it's a it's a new AC Cobra but it's one that's a continuation of the 1960s is built in Provo Utah so I think we'll see this engine here in some magazines in the car the parts for these every piece is aftermarket they're aluminum blocks that come from Shelby American the port never really made it a little bit of block exactly like this at the time but you can make them bigger there are really nice parts to work with the cylinder heads these cylinder heads on the wedge engine came from survival motorsports in Michigan the Edelbrock manifold it's just for motor sport valve covers but you know it's 526 inches we build it it's at a Braswell carburetor on it it's not the biggest one we could put on because it's more of like a road course application so it's going to see probably maybe 7,500 rpm and it makes about 750 boards nice stuff though to run forever on the single overhead cam engine those are a little tougher build because all the parts are coming from different aftermarket companies there's no place that you really can buy everything but we you know we spent about a year scrounge and parts up with companies that are building new parts for them right now if we did another one it wouldn't be a problem it's not so hard to find this stuff we just had to find out which companies deal with and who we could trust it deliver the parts you know but this one has dual four barrels it's we try to make it look period-correct where it has a dual plane intake with with the 8v induction system got a little more polished and than normal because it's going in a pretty nice show type car but this engine it has it's sort of ironic I did some prototype work on some heads years ago for a company and that project got sold two or three times and the cylinder head project got sold the patterns and all anyway these are basically the heads I slide design part of them but we've bought them from another company it just changed hands to it three times but they have really nice ports in them it's very similar to a Chrysler if you look at it like the price for 426 you know the intake and exhaust browser at 6 and 12 o'clock that a Hemi chamber really nice stuff really nice stuff but forward originally built these engines some of them had problems staying together and some things where they would you know tear parts up and break rides and stuff like that but they never really had much trouble with the camshafts and all of all the valve gear and most that stuff really did pretty good they did it it's a masterpiece they did a good job of designing all the stuff the thing that's different today is that we have better oils and better connecting rods and better crank shafts and better bearings and all that so the bottom and stay together and so the whole motor is pretty good but as far as the way these engines were designed in 1964 that all the top and all these there's a lot of chains and idler gears and years and there's a single overhead camera runs down the middle all that stuff is almost like original it's just better mellow well this engine is you know it should be a little better than so because it has one more carburetor and it's got the little better cylinder heads but it's about 825 and it's a real nice little run an engine and you know it's they're both pump gas engines so they're both 11 to 1 compression ratio and you know you can run them on premium from pump gas and you can you can hit it pretty hard and they won't tear up but it's a 800 horse street engine you know they go in Cobras Mustangs that I've seen a lot of these in old 64 Fords and stuff like that too but if you put them in a Mustang they'll go but you have to do something with a shock power if you have to them a little bit but there's a lot of front-end kids out for Mustangs and later cars they'll go ahead and probably a new Mustang they fit right in but but you know today it wasn't like this even five years ago but today you can build these single overhead cam motors complete 100% with all new parts you
