Joe Zuray Checks His Fish Net for King Salmon at Rapids

[Music] yeah boy I seen this net opened up the other day when I was up here sitting on those rocks man this thing was way out and then and then it moved in whoa some Chung huh yeah now we need dog food to a be nice when the ball chump start hitting okay there's a king maybe another one nice King yeah like a 14 pounder 15 pounder baby oh I guess they're I think this their five year olds is what they are I believe that's true that might be a four year old nice fish nice nice and firm all right oh yeah that's right goes anchors anything anchor for taking it down to the bottom that's where the big one especially on a net like this it's real sure it Hodge oh yeah there are the depth I mean depth of the net nine-footer yeah really really shallow especially when you're fishing this this wide I checked that the other day when I was up here sitting on the rocks you know and the like I figure maybe where the buoy is or something it's probably about 17 feet 15 feet deep so you know you had a net that's nine foot deep you know yeah and that's that's if it's up against the shore like this you know great to learn that things out in the water it's missing all sorts of action yeah you know if you had all those weights on there instead of just a few big rocks like lots of smaller weights you might not even need to well I guess when you're pulling it you'd still need to take the weights off could be they'd be catching on it yes there will be yeah yeah oh I mean they'll be they'll keep being 248 a week until until the fall Rhino comes and there's hardly any kings in the river at which point they'll open it to seven-day week fishing football jump yeah yeah no it'll be continuous it's yep oh yeah Oh two kings hey there we go look at that boy nice and fresh do this yeah nice nice check in the net often like this you know you get these real nice fresh ones yeah you get more keep your neck clean oh good deal well it turned out to be a nice day yeah we might yeah I'm sure they'll be show every more yeah we'll just keep a roll over here well it's a crazy idea be careful up here it's hanging up or something Oh what do we get there oh that that's a rock yes yep your anchor so in general this it's it's this end of the net from about here on or that's been doing mostly efficient yeah near the end I've been catching them inside yeah well or you weren't really putting the weights on and sinking the net as much so cool in the beginning you think yeah yeah this is a pretty cool this will make a nice video too because it's uh it's just like somebody checking the network with us you know I don't know what we're gonna get they'll experience the same thing yeah I know lastly the Kings we got a weight coming up huh yeah well it's a that Pat's been down the bottom maybe second-to-last wait yep so good chance it could be something Oh Chomp Chomp all right well we finish off the catch with a chum yeah well it's good catch those two cuz every three or four days I need to make up for the dog food and just right if you catch a few chum every time - well alright well good deal Joe give your hand will thing out of the water and head back to camp
