[Music] why is everyone so shocked that JK Rowling is actually terrible she Lily said that the werewolves in Harry Potter were supposed to be a stand-in for HIV and AIDS sufferers and made the most influential werewolf from the series Pharaoh gray back the man who purposely killed an infected people including children quite gleefully like she just straight-up said that in her writing that men and women with HIV and AIDS are predators by making them literally uncontrollable monsters who purposely and accidentally hurt the people around them but that's all fine and don't get me friggin started with the fact that she literally wrote goblins to be greedy people who are in charge and in control of all the money who literally betray Harry every chance they get she's not great with coding at all hey guys it's Shannon and today we are here to bury the legacy that is JK Rowling I wish I was kidding for those of you who might know who I am but somehow don't know who Jake hey is she is literally the writer of one of the most influential book series of all time she wrote the fantastic Harry Potter books that mean not only everything to me but everything to most every child growing up the same time I did continuing on to today like she fundamentally affected my life and the lives of almost every other child that was raised from when the books came out till now personally I remember being in fourth grade and my mom looking to help me overcome my speech impediment sat me down and got me to read Harry Potter outloud to her and my sister those books might be the reasons I can say my arse now and say Harry and not heavy like those books changed me but the books actually did a lot more than that because they didn't just help me in my life selfishly they also helped millions of boys and girls believe in magic and friendship and believe in doing what is right not just what is easy she is an amazing writer despite the fact that literally literally everything she is written since Harry Potter is complete and utter horseshit seriously her need to continuously write little short stories about Hagrid or Sirius Black that are three paragraphs long and sound like the beginning of a Wattpad fanfiction utter garbage her obsessive need to be in complete creative control of fantastic beasts and where to find them leading to having Nagini Voldemort's pet snake who was literally just a snake who is subservient to him in every way and gets their head chopped off in a moment of bravery by Neville Longbottom actually be an Asian woman that's totally fine and not [ __ ] up and doesn't make the scene where Neville proves himself into a tragic horrifying scene of a boy killing a woman who has no control of her life her obsessive rewriting and recontextualizing of her work years after it's been out starting with the fact that she stated Dumbledore is gay despite the fact that she has shown a clear of version to writing showing or having any gay characters in a lead role in any of her works including Dumbledore her constantly repeating that Severus Snape was completely amazing and good and justified in everything he did despite his repeated abuse causing several of his students to cry hate him and outright fear him to the point where Neville Longbottom greatest fear despite his parents being in an Essene asylum was Snape and don't even get me started a Snape allowing for abuse to happen at school while he was headmaster let's be clear you can tell me till you're blue in the face that he had to let the other teachers abusing students in Hogwarts in order to stay in Deep Cover with Baltimore you can tell me that but we can all agree that he was still a piece of [ __ ] for letting it happen when Voldemort already trusted him a hundred percent at that point since he killed Dumbledore like he could have said no those guys are terrible and Voldemort probably would have listened she has done so much stuff that it's gross and problematic and weird and for a very very very very very long time people have felt weird for it people haven't liked what she is doing there are plenty of videos of how people not liking what she's doing and saying that she's ruining Harry Potter people have asked her to step off of Twitter and Dobby recluse in her lavish mansion because she makes more than the [ __ ] Queen and the entire British government and the reason why people want her to go away and get off and never touch social media again is because she has single-handedly ruined the legacy of an author who created a world where magic is real she taught so many people about magic and mystery and fun through her words and now she spends all day on Twitter declaring that Dobby was a twink and was in the throuple polyamorous relationship with lucious and our system while he was at the mouth my mansion but why why am i talking about her today of all days why did I decide to make this video well my dudes despite the fact that she accidentally put anti-semitic imagery in Harry Potter and queer baited fantastic beasts and where to find them to hell him back JK Rowling is actually being called out for not only being fake woke but also being a term now for those of you who don't know what a turf is a turf stands for trans exclusionary radical feminists it's the type of feminist who refuses to see trans women as real women regardless of what state of transition they ever aim and online circles a lot of turfs take the mindset that trans people at larger either doing it for attention don't really mean to be doing it or are trying to prey on real women and they are extremely aggressive with trans people and when I say real women I'm using their words not mine please do not come for me terms also do a lot of damage not only to trans women but to feminism at large and the whole idea of feminism because they use it as a battering ram to hurt others and why it's okay that they hurt others when I made my video about why I am NOT a feminist and they don't like the term feminism a lot of it had to do with my experiences with turfs in real life and I happen to know a trans woman who was assaulted by a group of turfs at a gay bar she was at they are no laughing matter people take them very seriously being called a turf not like not something you want to be called but why is JK Rowling being touted as a turf you asked well let's read an doing my research it seems that Maya was a tax expert at a company and was fired or let go because she was tweeting about trans people oh now regardless of where you stand in the debate of is gender real can people change sex is sex biological what have you chromosomes you know you know the whole shebang Shibata boom that doesn't matter at least to me and why this person lost their job and that's just my opinion and I'm gonna explain why I think that and you can explain to me if you think I'm wrong in the comments down below but here's what I think what matters to me in this situation is the fact that she was tweeting these things things that are contentious that are going to cause people to want to debate her things that are going to cause people to you know want to fight her and like you know she's stirring the pot on a public platform that can be linked back to her job that's the issue to me because let's say I work for McDonald's or like Will's Fargo or some big business and that's what's on my Twitter profile I have an account shows my full name it shows where I work or people can just find where I work and it's boldly displayed on it now I start tweeting something that's like a racist or homophobic or just contentious stuff ice fire-starting and saying things that I know people are either gonna want to bait me on or people are gonna get quote-unquote triggered by I start doing that thing because I want to start those kinds of debates and have those kinds of conversations I'm doing that on a public platform that has my job on it I'm doing that on a public platform that's going to link back the company I work for therefore I'm representing that company when I'm tweeting it's like if a Papa John's delivery guy got into a fight while he's off work but he's still wearing his uniform he's in a fight as himself but he's representing representing the company so if you're doing that representing the company the company has all right to say hey no no we don't agree with what you're saying we're going to fire you because you keep saying that in a way that's gonna get linked back to us and we don't want to have that negative PR like that's what it says to me it says that you're giving them bad PR by saying all this stuff they don't agree with you they don't want you out there seeing this stuff in a way that can move back to them so they're gonna fire you and personally I mean I can only assume what I would do if I was a boss and I had someone saying stuff like I represent the company and I think this like no do that on your own time do it on a Twitter that cannot be linked back to us a company but you know you know what I'm saying anyway the article goes on to say much suspicion has focused on mr. Alleyne social media activity in 2018 she was criticized for liking a tweet that referred to transgender women as men in dresses it representative for the author said that she had a middle-age moment and hit the like button accidentally according to the Guardian but some critics viewed incidents like this in a different light of her expression of support of Miss for sadder so frankly this is something that I didn't know about but something that I think is radically important in terms of why people are reacting the way they are because now this kind of shows that more intent and it makes things a little bit more cut-and-dry I can't claim to know what Joe thinks and frankly I don't think she gives a [ __ ] about any of this she's behind one of the best best-selling book series in the world she has made Bank on movie adaptations she is writing the terrible spin-off series and has multiple theme parks she is so wealthy I literally wouldn't doubt if a story came out tomorrow that she hunts humans because she can that's the only way she has to feel anymore because she has so much money it's just it's just warped her emotions but frankly my opinion of all this with all the weird [ __ ] that she has said about Harry Potter since its come out and the terrible [ __ ] she's constantly getting herself into I am neither surprised nor disappointed I frankly think anyone who's saying like oh she didn't mean it she doesn't know anything about this situation I think no she knows this is how she feels but I would love to know what you guys feel let me know in the comments down below how you're taking this let me know if you disagree with me tell me why also if you have gotten all the way to the end of the video please leave one of these guys in the comments right here so I know who's a real one and who isn't who's just a poser anyway thank you guys so much for watching I love you the most have a genuinely awesome day and I will see you later bye [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music]
