what's going on everybody welcome back today i'm making these delicious flaky flavorful jerk flavored lintel cheese putty these were too good so without any further delay let's get straight to the recipe i'm going to make the dough first so here i added some unbleached all-purpose flour of course you can try to use any other flour of your choice all right everything that i use will be listed in the description so make sure to check that out i really love the combination of the tumeric and the anato but if you just have the turmeric use it once you're done combining the dry ingredients at the butter now my butter was kept in my freezer make sure that your butter is cold what i'm going to do is to grate the butter into the flour i find that i get a better crust when i grate the butter [Music] once you're done you should get a soft doughnut when i say soft i don't mean runny as you can tell right here it's fairly soft but manageable once you're done just wrap the door with syringe wrap and place it in your refrigerator i'm going to make two dough so for the second one i'm using my food processor so if you have a food processor you can just go ahead and use it instead of using the hands so you want to repeat the same process once you've added all your dry ingredients and butter kind of combine it before you add the water now this is a bit tricky because it's not like with your hands where you can feel to see if you need more water or less water once you've started to add the water make sure that you constantly check it because you don't want to add too much water to this and as i mentioned it's not like with your hands where you can feel to see if you need more or less so make sure that you constantly check it until you get to like a dough ball going to repeat the same process wrap this up with some syringe wrap and place it in the refrigerator i'm going to move on to the filling so here i have some dried lintels that are rinsed off and what i'm going to do is to cook it i'm not going to add any seasonings just yet i'm going to cook it and then i'm going to process it with some fresh seasoning and then cook it down which you will see in the next few clips while the lintels cook i'm going to add two layers of butter to my dough of course you can add more if you want the more the better but i'm only going to be adding two layers so what i'm going to do is to roll the dough out and then grate the butter as i mentioned earlier i find that when i grate the butter i get a better crust so don't be too stingy with the butter this part is very crucial if you want to get a party that's flaky i mean crumbs the elbow the place it's very important for you to add some layer of butter that's what's going to create those ear pockets so when you put it back you have different different layers and flakiness all right to me the perfect part is flaky and have a flavorful filling [Music] so once you've added the first layer repeat the same process and as i mentioned you can add more layer if you want the more the better once i've added the last layer of butter i'm not going to roll the salt all the way i'm just going to somewhat bring it together once i'm done i'm going to wrap this up in some steering wrap again and place it in my refrigerator [Music] so now that the lintel is cooked i'm going to blend it add some seasonings and cook it down here i have some fresh seasoning i have onion garlic scallion bell pepper scotch bonnet pepper ginger and thyme what i'm going to do is to add all of that to my food processor along with the lintel and blend until smooth make sure that you add only the leaves from the thyme not the stems as far as the scotch bunny pepper i'm only going to add about a half of it because i'm going to add some jerk seasoning later on and i don't want this to be too too spicy [Music] once you're done you should get a consistency like this so what i'm going to do next is to cook this down add some color and dried seasoning to my pot i added some oil i'm going to add this entire blended mixer along with some browning ketchup water and seasoning and i'm going to allow this to cook on for about 15 minutes hmm [Music] lintels will soak up moisture so you want to make sure that you add some water if needed all right because you don't want when you're party big it's dry you want it to be juicy so here i added some more ketchup along with some all-purpose seasoning you can use whatever all-purpose seasoning of your choice and season to your liking what i'm going to do now is to cover the pot and allow this to simmer down over a medium to medium low heat for about 15 minutes after that 15 minutes turn off your stove and set this aside to cool so now it's time to add the filling and bake these patties to form the patties you can do one of two things you can use our own surface to cut out the dough add your filling and then fold or you can cut out rectangular shapes and do the same thing due to my limited surface area i probably do two parties at a time so i'm going to set the remaining dough to the side while i add the filling so i added way too much filling for some of the patties and some of it leaked once the paddies were big so try not to add too much of the filling all right so here i added some vegan cheddar and you can also add a vegan sliced cheese as well here i'm using a fork to seal the ends you can dust the fork with some flour and that's just to prevent it from sticking to the dough i'm also going to use a pizza cutter to remove any excess dough [Music] now you can also poke holes in the top and that's just to me that your circle is better when baking but it's completely optional so just go ahead and repeat the same process with the remaining dough [Music] so once you're done just place the patties on a baking tray now what i did was to keep the tray in the refrigerator so the parties stay cool while i made the others so [Music] so [Music] me [Music] the patties are ready for the oven normally i would brush it up with some melted butter but these have enough butter so i'm not going to add any more what i'm going to do now is to bake these at 375 degrees fahrenheit for 20 to 25 minutes jerk lentil cheese patty up and ready for eat look at the crust these came out [Music] amazing there you have it lovely people these parties are flaky flavorful juicy just amazing my parties have come a long way and this proves that practice makes perfect here's a sneak peak of my homemade cocoa bread so soft and buttery hands down patty and coca bread is one of the bodies combo comment down below if you agree with me i will share the coca bread recipe later this week thank you so much for watching i hope you give this recipe a try and until next time bless up
