[Music] in this section we'll show you the bail track pro monitor controller the monitor controller uses keys an LCD display and a microprocessor to monitor and control the bailing and wrapping operations first we'll identify all of the keys working from upper left to lower right and then we'll discuss the voltage needed to operate the monitor controller this is the on/off key it turns the monitor controller on or off when you push it once after the monitor controller has been turned on the operator can select between twine or net wrap by pressing and holding the net twine key for approximately three seconds the icon on the monitor controller displays either the twine or net wrap mode when you turn the monitor controller on it will display the baler model it's programmed for the twine system won't operate correctly unless the displayed number agrees with the baler model number if your monitor controller displays the wrong model number refer to the tag attached to the monitor controller tractor harness on how to change the next three keys are the extend retract and wrap keys the extend and retract keys are used to manually operate the twine arms the wrap key is used when you don't have a full Bale but you want to wrap it off and leave it in the field your bail tract pro monitor controller is pre-programmed and ready to use however the next grouping of keys lets you customize bail size and several wrap settings the top row of keys lets you set variable core diameter if equipped number of left hand end wraps for twine number of right-hand end wraps for twine and twine spacing or number of net wraps the bottom row of keys lets you set bail diameter and wrap distance for twine right side and left side the end key in this row is the bail counter key the monitor controller is equipped with two bail counters the resettable counter which can be cleared or modified and the total bail counter which cannot be reset the counter is displayed in the lower right corner of the LCD display area depress this key wants to display the resettable countin depress it twice to display the total bail counter and finally the plus or minus keys along with the function setting keys already described are used to increase or decrease the values of the various settings the LCD area displays your indicator symbols and bail shaped bars we'll show you how to read the bail shaped bars in section 3 but let's go over the symbols and how they will perform during normal operation the top left light is the gate closed symbol it should be lit as soon as you turn on your monitor controller and should remain on throughout normal operation until the bail is ejected when it is lit the baler is ready to run next is the near-full symbol it flashes and beeps twice when the bail reaches a diameter four and a half inches smaller than the bail diameter setting the rapping started symbol will light with a long beep as rapping begins automatically when the bail reaches the diameter setting stop travel and maintain engine speed during rap and ejection cycle when rapping is completed the eject symbol will light with four beeps and stay on until the gate is opened back up if your baler is not equipped with a push bar or bail ramps and eject the bail using the hydraulic control lever the gate open symbol will light during ejection after the bail ejects drive forward if your baler is not equipped with a push bar or bail ramps and close the gate with the hydraulic control lever the gate open symbol will turn off and the gate closed symbol will come back the upper-right light is the stop symbol and alarm if this stop symbol flashes and the alarm sounds during normal operation stop bailing immediately and correct the problem the next three symbols indicate conditions that can activate the alarm the gate open light functions in normal bailing operations during ejection however if it lights in conjunction with the stop symbol and alarm on the 468 and 568 models only it means the gate is not latched properly continuing to operate will twist the gate and result in machine damaged the next light is the oversize symbol if it lights and an alarm sounds the bail is above the maximum allowable diameter continuing to operate with an oversize bail in the chamber can cause severe gate damage roller breakage and belt splice damage the third light is the net wrap symbol which alerts the operator that the net did not feed the knife did not cut the net or the baler is out of now if an error code appears refer to the error code quick reference card that is included with the bail tract Pro monitor controller or your operator's manual there you will find a list of error codes and an explanation of each error code that allows you to quickly diagnose electrical problems once the problem has been corrected press the minus key to clear the stop tone and the error code and the last light is the low-voltage symbol if your monitor controller is not receiving the necessary voltage this indicator will light although the stop symbol does not come on bail track Pro also has the optional feature on selected models to alert the operator when the baler has slipped a clutch the monitor controller will display the word slip in the lower right hand corner of the monitor controller an audible alarm will sound along with the stop indicator light alerting the operator to stop failing immediately the monitor controller plugs into your tractors convenience outlet the monitor needs a good 12 volt power supply to run properly so you'll need to complete the voltage check to determine if your tractors outlet provides adequate power the procedure is described on a tag attached to the monitors tractor harness this concludes the bail track Pro monitor controller orientation section of the video
