Jay Stops In To Make Some Keys And One Last Repo Before Fixing The Wheel Lift

oh you guys won't believe this but uh just got called from the finance company and that lady that everyone is referred to as being the very very nice lady that offered me a coke the white tahoe that i pulled out of that garage and then she came out and don't take my vehicle ended up making a payment over the phone and giving us or no gave us a check and some cash and i even called the finance officer and said did you okay her to give part of this as a check and he's like yeah i really don't want to because her last check bounced but uh anyhow he called and said that this check bounced and he called her and she hung up on him and so he gave her 24 hours and he called her back now her number's disconnected so looks like we'll be going out and repossessing that one again it's my buddy jay pulling up his little locksmithing van he was with us the other night on that four banger don't feed her she'll never leave we're making a key on this audi on this mustang is that jay go say hi to jay go say hi to jay here he comes watch out watch out get away leave it should i just date burger king breakfast of champions oh yeah lulu did you find a kitty cat where's that kitty cat meow here what's with the speaker box i got my truck up on uh consignment up in um provo what are those they're sony what series though holy cows are freaking nice dude oh my god dude they sound so good those are freaking tight what 500 watts rms yeah i had them if you can see it i got a little planet audio big bang 900 class oh yeah the mono what's it put out you can go down to like one ohm on that thing can't you yep yeah i think i'll push out quite a bit at one ohm are these four ohm or uh i think they're four so you wire them in parallel and freaking mono on that amp you'll put it at freaking two ohms that'll pull that'll be a good little pumper oh it sounded good dude oh my god you're gonna throw that in here or you just what no i might put it back in my 95 but i'll get a different box for them what is your other truck the one the yellow on consignment okay silverado diesel or gas gas dude freaking 48 degrees when i woke up this morning how'd we go from freaking 78 to 48 in 24 hours because [ __ ] is what it is dude winter is i mean one thing about utah is it'll skip right over fall we ease into spring but man fall just one week it's freaking summer the next week it's winter and the fall was somewhere in seven days this mustang doesn't look too horrible no it wasn't okay condition this is one of their worst series years though this this this model all the way down to when they switched to this all the way up until they you know the 08 when they went back to the retro 69 body style and now they've ruined them again by going back to the small style again so how does that work so it's a lock pick and it gives me my sp my spaces uh-huh and my depths four gives five depths eight spaces in the door lock they only put eight or six of the eight spaces right are they the back end or the front end of the key they're the first first from the base up okay the first six of the egg so the tip of the key is what's in the ignition right okay so once i pick it and i hold it over in the pick position i go in and find out what my cuts are so my first cut's on one so as you're picking it tell me what you were feeling to know what each one was you feel the spring tension so as you're going along it goes and springs then you lock and then well yeah the best way to describe it is once i'll once i get coated all okay basically you put it in and you go through your file you feel for spring tension on all of your wafers and and then you put a slight turning pressure on it and then you go back and feel them again which ones are springy you leave them alone the ones that are solid uh-huh you uh you pick and the solid one is when you are in between the tumblers or when you're on the tumblers there's no spring tension no spring tension okay the tumbler is bound gotcha and you gotta pick it to unbind it so you're you're not as you're picking that that thing you've got your thumb on is also a tension bar yes it's a tension bar and picker all in one motion that's badass one two three four five six so as you're writing those down are you writing them from the base forward or from the front out okay so battle tip so one three five four two three is this car yeah and so how do you get the last two for the ignition computer oh interesting actually we could go we could have a little bit of fun and we can go like this probably with one of them out of the deck really why different uh locks they use different cuts of the key what are the trunks typically i thought the trunks were four i know on motorcycles the helmet lock is less than the ignition and the same with the gas cap right well maybe not i can't get that pick in there all the way and i don't want to damage it yeah you don't want to damage what's one of those things cost these ones are now about 50 bucks it's not bad i mean it's worse than a rake but when they first come out they were 100 and 100 now are there different ones others that are universal that fit any lock no each car has it each manufacturer has its own so that's a ford yep okay so that would that if i took that out of my f550 it'd work in the door yep okay try it on my truck go for it i'll collect that for a second we'll uh i'll kind of give you the rundown yeah now it's all slight pressures you don't ever want yeah i've picked enough locks it's all about freaking feel so the first thing you do make sure these are all the way up and out okay slide it into the lock tilt stops okay and then and then you just go in and you want to feel for spring tension okay so you got spring tension on one through six okay so then you just put a little bit of pressure on it and then you go back through and if you feel like your first one right there is bound can you feel it down let me fill it down feels like go right up to the one this little thing's got a pointer on it you see what i'm saying okay you just pick you over picked it though and that pushed it in okay gotcha so see right now so put a little pressure on it right there okay okay now it's springy yep now it's tight yep so you pop it okay all right phil move a little bit too on the tension yep that has bad ass dude you've got to get me one of these there's one for ford one for gm one for chevy uh is there toyota okay there's a perfect way to see see it spring back up on me when you kept it yeah and come over here to ford and nothing or on four yeah so pop it okay check it come back to two nothing pop it on goes a little bit further did it go a little further yep it went up a little bit more you can tell it's picked that much more it's like raking boat more precise dude i freaking would love to meet the locksmith that invented this his name is lee okay you gotta back out of back down your pressure just a little there we go yeah i could feel that i was pushing too hard it's one lock picking is all about feel it really is feeling having the the image in your head of what you're doing in the door or the lock cylinder sister it should pop open by now not yet back off just a little bit you might have backed off a little too much and let one of the springs down yeah yep yeah it's hard two people doing the one thing it's got the one person's got a hard drive for your hand around it yeah yep so that was good though it was good for me to feel that as you went through it the first time because it totally gave me the feel for what you're feeling see that we're in there uh-huh that was probably my fault positive that i was having issues with yep so sometimes you'll go back through it once or twice if you get to the end and it won't pop you'll know that you have that one you knew you were questionable mhm so when you hit the sixth one it goes yep so you almost when you know you're pushing the sixth one up you know you're expecting the tensioner to go with and it rolls smooth all in one action yep and then i can decode your lock now i can see because because it saves each one right well because in the pick position it it's designed to it reads the tumblers now because they're all they're all bound up against the the body of the box they're all it's flat because they're all in the key position so so where are you reading across the top line there yeah so two one three four so you're sliding in and reading at the end of where that little line right there is yeah see how there's a little are you reading inside the slit see the pointer so you take the pointer and you put it right you're taking that point and you're pulling it up that line right and you're and you just wherever it stops but sometimes the lock gets a little slop in it so it'll go a little bit farther so you just kind of wanna you can actually tell also how worn a lock cylinder is from that too yep wow a [ __ ] man manual mechanical tool that does a lot of [ __ ] dude yeah that's all told made by some chinese man that's insane yeah it's an o6 no wait no oh six would be the new body cell wouldn't it yeah oh six with a new body style doesn't matter oh it does [ __ ] so you can choose any year and there's my keycode i put it into the computer and it just so happened is it pulling that locally or off the internet no this is a downloaded program downloaded program so you can do it offline that's nice so then i'll find a forward key i don't want to use the blade because i have to change it all out before i do the heck was this girl's name yes it's been slammed for days now depending on how much danny tucked down on that mustang i might pick that one up the which one this this one right here i don't know it's a v6 and there's really no value in the v6 mustangs once you're looking for something that's gas efficient what the heck was that girl's name oh it's okay that's one thing i like about this one i can't find a hump a lot i can't find it by name i just freaking watch this with the freaking plated x448 ge search i must have forgot to close that one there it is i was looking for a girl's name and she's got a dude's name or i guess it's universal you go back and forth that's an 01 mustang see when i search the plate i pull the assignment up highlights what my search term in yellow shows me where it shows up in order freaking program is so fast love technology is that a curtis cutter no this is a1 a1 i have a curtis cutter is there an advantage one over the other preference but i'm saying what makes your preference on that i like this one because on the curtis cutter you have to do a lot more to change out okay so there's more on the blanks do you ever use the uh because you're probably used to the collins dollies when you're a repo and you ever use the in the ditch yeah those are freaking [ __ ] i know they're [ __ ] but they were supposed to be less you know moving parts but i think they simplified them too much because we all know what happened is all the bearings went bad and then they made them so they weren't serviceable look at that that was just smooth look at the babies let me see let me see the cut okay is it chipped yep so you're just making it so you make the mechanical key first right so i know what and then do you have a duplicator in there where you can stick one in one side the security yep watch it theft yep what does it do if you try to turn it over dead cranks but doesn't fire so they do it at the fuel pump see that dodge dodge will fire run and then kill itself yeah ford fork pop pats does does fuel spark oh i didn't think about spark that's sparking would make sense too that's about it is that a door wedge tool beefy mother the super jack bend the door frame off with that thing yeah i know then you put your wedges it's freaking now the one-handed jack oh you should you should engrave on it the one-handed jack-off yeah i see that that was gone in it the one i've got that's in there is freaking just add it on to his bill and i'll freaking just take it off what next thing i'd kill him that way the money changes hands without actually having to come up with any cash what's this thing cost i don't know like five five bucks so just [ __ ] cheap had his bill for five bucks i'll just pretend like it didn't even happen don't you have to account for it being picked up from wholesale nope and they machine those things freaking look at that [ __ ] very little tolerance on that thing so you know what this is right of course i know what it is i mean someone like me who's not a locksmith would call it the guts but no yes oh you mean this is a universal show there's two different back sets gotcha so if you put it together this is the most common in residential so if you put it together and yeah just things just doesn't want to line up you flip that up and gotcha and what is extending it out do for it makes it for the different back set two and three quarter back set versus two and three eighths back so it's a it's a quarter uh half half inch something like that yeah it's a half inch offset you just imagine the aha moment of the designer that was looking at the original before that was in there and he thought oh you know what we could do a little spring you know he played with a making a retrofit version on his little workbench and came up with a probably had a toothpick going through there instead of a little piece of metal at one time and what was it showed that it worked and they freaking re-tooled the machines and next you know they're manufacturing them like this just crazy innovation lulu something dogs will never understand you guys still sniff your own butts and eat your own poo and they always will us we're moving ahead yeah you're still looking for a laser light that's not out here you got her on the laser duh dude nice i'd have to say one of the things i'm really big into with running my own business is the fact that i like to not only use technology to you know gadgets and gizmos and high-tech gear to do the job and to make it fun and exciting and to you know be more efficient but i also like to use it to be able to track uh logistical information marketing information analysis of you know compared to last year compared to the last five years how many different types of uh repossessions versus other services you know i like to break all that stuff down and run reports and be able to analyze month by month how my business is doing and once you start to really look at that data you can tweak and tune how you're uh operating to uh perform better you know it's just once you understand the data and the information inside it it just becomes more valuable and and you can use that to look at things in a different perspective than just kind of guessing it you know where am i at right now and how am i comparing to the market and to my competition and you know how are things trending and stuff like that so i anyways one reason i'm bringing this up is because one of the things that's really crucial is understanding repeat business that's you know we go out we repossess a vehicle customer gets the vehicle back and then we go out and we repossess it again uh within a certain period of time that repeat business affects our bottom line and understanding how much of your business's repeat business is critical and i track that information inside of my software whenever i've got one that comes up that's repeat the software that i run here evernote.com uh allows me to import all my data into here and have a view that i can also access from my smartphone or my tablet any device that i have they've got apps for free that run with this where i can take a look at the exact same data that's on the computer i can see it in real time here i can go into all my notebooks see all the open orders and then i can track all that information and i can tag it with uh repeat business and be able to see as the information is pulled in in real time i can scroll to the bottom of any assignment that comes over and in that assignment i can look on the bottom and it shows me related uh notes and it does that automatically this system automatically does that on its own i don't have to do anything to make it do it and it's like here's the one with the dodge chargers came over and at the bottom you'll see it shows right there on january 4th 2013 there i can see the notes what happened on the previous repo and keep track of this data like you know if they don't send me over a plate i can see the plate from previously i could see where they were working previously i can see that his place of employment has changed from the last time we repossessed him to now and matter of fact that's important because the notes say that he'll most likely be at work until 6 pm and it's 2 51 right now we're getting ready to go run this repo so that dictates where i'm going to go right now we've got a new address down here in spanish fork for a new place of employment and it's a place that i'm familiar with that i've repossessed a number of vehicles from that has a large hispanic population that works for them and so i'm aware of where i'm going and what the layout is before i even get there there's a lot just a ton of data that comes in right off the get-go by tracking repeat business and being able to see that stuff here in evernote it's one of the reasons why i like using this interface to run my repossession business and it's another one of those technologies that just really just blows the doors off of anything that my competition even comes close to using and makes me more efficient and a better business to compete against i also want to uh announce to you guys online that i have this uh audi a6 that i picked up the other day that was sitting in front of that house that was nosed into that other car it's kind of funny i guess because you know not very often we crawl underneath the vehicles and look to see if the transmission is in there but the transmission for this vehicle actually happens to be in the back seat as well as in the trunk looks like they've already had you go to a machine shop it's all shined up and polished and it looks like all the parts and pieces are here the rest of it's uh in the trunk also we noticed that the key was in the ignition something else that i missed the day of the repo because i was more focused on getting the car than i was you know looking inside it here's all the parts and pieces for the transmission and this car doesn't even have the [ __ ] in there so had i noticed that i wouldn't have had to well there's the spare or the main tire too that's missing off the front there's a spare on the front right now but yeah if i had noticed this i wouldn't have had to throw in the dollies that day would have saved me a little bit of time but i have bought this vehicle and uh own it now everything's here except for the fact that the transmission is not in it engines completely intact this is a quattro a6 and i just wanted to say if there's anybody out there that has a vehicle like this or would be interested in picking this one up very affordably i'm going to be selling this i'm either going to parts and piece it out to people locally or i'm going to sell the whole thing as is here's the engine all intact i'm almost certain the engine works it's got a brand new bosch battery in it but yeah i now own that uh audi a6 so if anybody uh that watches this youtube channel is interested in picking it up for a very very very cheap price we're talking like half of blue book uh give me a call all the pieces are here for the transmission it's uh in excellent condition i just found out that the missing tire for the front is in the back so we got the other rim and the interior is just immaculate on it anybody that wants to contact me i'd be glad to do a full video walk through on it and get you more details but someone can pick themselves up a quattro a6 for a very cheap price got a uh repossession now order out here in north west lehigh at a minx farm this guy's supposed to be living out there that's a good looking dopey black doby this guy's supposed to be living out here uh at this uh minks farm for driving this white yukon having some issues with the lift so my my pump my dewey's pump is croaking on me actually it's pretty much croaked i got a mustang that we picked up previously stuck on the lift saturday i went to pick it up to take it to a uh auction and when i went to lower it the boom when i went to do the down the boom went up so uh went and had it looked at today and they said that one of my valves is bad and the uh pump itself is about 95 shot so it doesn't operate very quickly but it does work barely okay it's there i did a google street view of the vehicle you can see in the google street view that it's uh sitting right out in front of the building i have to put the repo truck in park and then rev the engine and get the lift where i want it to be [Music] the in and out and the up function and the jaws all seem to work normal but the up and down and the fold unfold does not so luckily we're going to be going up jaws closed and then up we were originally told to come out here and do a site inspection of the vehicle and the guy was told that we were going to be coming to do that but they gave him until last friday to come in and make a payment including that site inspection and he did not make that payment so they called us and said wherever it's at it's a repo on site i gotta stop right there get it where i want it and back it in there to [Music] oh wheels are going to turn on us that's all right we don't have a perfect bite on it either enough to repick it get it up out of the property here i'll take care of the wheel picking it up again stop right about there oh that was an ugly repo doing what we can with what we got new pump will be here thursday it's in two days pile of [ __ ] i got the dash torn off of it tires are practically flat freaking flies flying around yeah they pulled some kind of a flat screen out of the dash had someone email me the other day and asked me why i put the seat belt through the wheel i've had a number of people answer that question for me i also had somebody ask why roll the window down on a lot of vehicles you notice i don't always roll it down on every vehicle that's because i only do all the ones where we're putting the key in the ignition to put it neutral usually your front wheel drives oh yeah look at the cobwebs on this thing hasn't been driven in a while probably just been sitting here and see why the guy didn't come in on friday and make the payment just been waiting for us to come pick this thing up but yeah we roll the window down so we don't lock ourselves out a lot of vehicles when you leave them with the key in the ignition and the ignition on and then you close the door they will uh auto lock the doors not that we can't break back in ourselves but it's just easier to not have to break out the long reach tool and break into a vehicle that you already have open so it just makes common sense to uh roll the window down as a safety precaution you just get in the habit of doing stuff like that and becomes second nature so rule of thumb is if the vehicle's got the key in the ignition and it's on to uh roll the window down hey how's it going how are you good is this your vehicle okay do you have the key no i asked the guy because i i won't take the to the bank i don't have the key okay all right this guy's not do you guys know okay what we'll do is we'll take it to them and then you just contact them you have their phone number for the bunker yeah just give them a call and then they'll have it and then just ask them what you got to do and then they'll tell you what you got to do okay yeah okay cool it looks like that brake light was on so i saw him walking out slowly could tell he wasn't too concerned about it i already could tell by the way the vehicle condition was that there wasn't going to be a fight over this vehicle so we got it up high enough off the ground we don't need to change it lifting it up but yeah i had that mustang stuck on the back and had to call dynamic and they gave me some tips on how to bypass the hydraulics i was able to move the valve from the winch to the up and down control because that valve was completely gone i also had a bad switch here and my controller metered it and i was showing continuity on both the up and the down when i did up or down so the switch went bad probably took out the valve and not sure if just a coincidence that the pump was going out at the same time or what but we get the new pump in here this thing's going to run a lot better a lot faster i've always thought this pump was a little bit on the slow side for what i know of dynamic lifts and not surprised that it's gone out so now we'll have a new engine new pump i already had the lip free done after that black magnum slammed into me like the first month i had the truck and the lift all redone in the back the cylinders so that's why i knew it wasn't the cylinders this time because i just barely had them redone but uh it's always fun always interesting luckily this machine is a work machine and not a personal machine i had a personal machine that was always neat this kind of service i would get rid of it but this thing's a work machine a lot of people actually say oh your truck's always breaking down it's like you know thing makes money every day every time it's out running it's making money it's a money making machine and you know it's going to cost a little bit to keep the money making machine running and so i'm willing to put a little bit in here and there because this thing always makes way more than it costs to operate got some of the flies in here from the must have followed me in from that yukon anyhow yeah we'll uh get this transported to finance company and uh this truck's not gonna be getting used very much for the next two days will's gonna be meeting me at uh 1 30 in the morning we're gonna meet up at his yard and he's got six to run and i've got a whole bunch of stuff to run i gotta do a redo on a black mercedes up in salt lake that we already picked up once as well as a couple others try to get them all on video see what we can show you guys watch how sad this is hmm gotta get the rpms just right to be able to get that to fold up pretty sad but nonetheless it is picked up a repo is a repo carves what the vehicle looks like and regardless of what it takes to get it picked up still not as ugly as when i loaded that uh camaro onto that trailer but cannot wait to get the new pump put in to be exciting to show that thing operating be nice show you guys what a new pump looks like in action
